XFI - Teufel - Subwoofer p

Hy,
I try to connect a 7. System from Teufel to my XFI card (ASUS K8N Premium board, AMD 4000+)
> I do not get sound from rear right
> I do not get sound from subwoofer!
My biggest Prob is the subwoofer. For the satellite I did not have the time to connect another one to the rear right line to verify. But for the Subwoofer I tried any imaginable combination.
Did anybody ever connect a Teufel System to an XFI card? Can anybody tell me, if there is anything general to do if these two do not work?
Thanks in Advance

You need to enable bass redirection (usually in THX console) - then enable 5db bass boost, set crossover to 20hz in software and on the back of your sub.

  • XFI Xtreme Music & Vista64 - Subwoofer iss

    Hi Guys,
I bought this card ages ago but had issues when trying to get drivers for it last time, so now I spent a whopping 30 on a set of surround speakers, I thought I'd give it another try.
Now everything works fine - except when using the 5. setup, the card does a good job of creating a nice surround sound experience off a stereo output (MP3 file from winamp), however, it appears to put very little through the sub, so I really just get output from the 5 speakers, nice mid and treble, but very little bass!
The speaker set has a switch for accepting a stereo input and that splits it across the front left, right and sub and that sounded better (actually got some bass).
The sub output works as I've tested it with the Vista configruation / test thingy and it rumbles nicely, but by default it doesn't seem to use it.
is it an option I need to setup or is it a limitation Is there any work around for this
    TIA.
    Steve.

    Nevermind, solved it myself.
If anyone else has a similar problem - click the 'Default' option in the Creative Console Launcher, set the speaker mode to 5. and then you'll find the bass redirection works.
Must be a bug in the drivers.

  • Gd580 and the XFi

I recently installed the XFi on my system, using a gd580 5.1 speaker setup. The problem I am having is that I am not getting any sound out of the speakers. If I plug headphones into the card, I get sound. Plugging the speakers in from the subwoofer into the card elicits no sound. Do I need to use the decoder, or is there some key fact that I have missed. Tried changing the onboard AC97 audio option in the BIOS (Asus A8V dlx), but to no avail. Any suggestions?

Here's what I did to make the gd580s work with the XFi, without ANY help from Creative webmail or phone assistance (another useless endeavor). First, the external decoder is ON and hooked up to my PC via the optical cable. Next, as per the diagram sold with the XFI, the speakers are attached to the sub, and the subwoofer is plugged into the soundcard instead of the external decoder. Finally, the Creative Console Launcher (CCL) is set to GD580 (under the THX setup console - Speaker Selection in Entertainment mode), and the general speaker setup is 5.1 in game mode. This has allowed me to run both Channel and Noise tests with all 5 speakers and the subwoofer functioning. Game test with Doom3, FarCry,Halo, and Total War have all been successful. The volume control on the external decoder does not set the master volume, that is done with the volume control in the CCL. As a final note, this was something that could have been explained in the fold-out included with the XFI. Additionally, the youngster I spoke to at tech support instructed me to buy third party cables and hook up the external decoder to the soundcard Digital In/Out using the analog inputs on the back of the external decoder. WRONG. After two trips&purchases at Radio Shack, I figured out what to do. I hope this helps out another poor schmuck like me who buys an XFI and has to hook up the gd580s, because support from Creative is a fragile thing.

  • XFI: Problems with channelrouting after THX Se

Hi, i?ve got a problem with XFi, hope somebody can help.
    Hardware:
XFi Fatality, Asus A8N SLI Premium Board (Bios .0), Win XP prof., 2 GB RAM, all the latest Patches and Drivers for all Hard- and Software. System runs great without any problems.
A 7. Soundsystem (Teufel Concept G) ist correctly connected to XFi, and works fine so far, but:
i always get problems AFTER i call up the THX Console in XFi Driver/Software, or sometimes just by changing the XFi Modus (Games, Audio...) without calling up THX Console, just by switching the Modus.
Problem is: some soundchannels / speakers are incorrectly routed then. For example, after calling up THX, Front right Speaker is no longer front right, but Center instead, Sub works no more, but subfrequencys are routed then to left side Speaker, and stuff like this. This can easily be checked by "Channel/Noise" Speakertest in XFi Software.
Sometimes some Speakerchannels even fail without any operation or switching to THX or other Modus.
When this problem appears, and i choose "Standard" Button in Mainscreen XFi Software (Xfi Harware is resetted), false routing is over, everything is OK again. I took me hours and hours to find out, first i thought cableconnections or other hardwareproblems were responsible, but that was never the problem.
Anyone else with same problem? Any ideas?

Sorry, but the note is in Spain (I guess), can you please translate?
We have the same issue on our productive HR system - but not on the development system, what makes it curious.
When we try to start contracts in word we get the same message
"Opening this will run the following SQL command
    SELECT * FROM C:\.....Datasource_tab.SAP
How can we avoid this message?
    Thanks in advance!

  • Subwoofer not utilized...

Hi, I have an XFI Titanium card, connected (via the discrete outputs) to my Denon AVR-603, which is connected to my fi've speakers, and the pre-out to my subwoofer.
Playing Bioshock earlier, on Game mode, the sub was working fine, but I fired up Fallout 3 and found that there was no longer output from the sub. So I tried enabling bass-redirection, which did absolutely nothing in Fallout 3, and nothing in Half-Life 2, or any music. What gives? Is my sub only going to work in certain games? If so, that seems pretty useless...hell, in order to get the sub to work while playing music, I had to split the front output from the card and go into another input on the reciever where it works perfectly fine.
    Any ideas?

Disregard this. I had the speakers set to "Large" in the Windows settings. Works beautifully in both Entertainment and Game mode now!

  • Volume panel and subwoofer gain

    hello,
last week i had install windows 7 (i had xp before) my sound card is XFI audio and i notice that since i install windwos 7 the subwoofer is not working , i remember that in windwos xp i had volume panel and there was option about subwoofer gain .
but when i install console luncher under win7 i get crackle/disturbance but without the console luncher everithing is ok.
so i am asking if there is any other option to enable subwoofer gain under win7 witout install console luncher?

are you using 5, speaker system ? i think you are not . because if you are trying this on 2. sound system , sub woofer output is not working . sub woofer output is working only on 5, or more . with that option sub woofer output is start to work .
and which x-fi product you are using ? on console launcher there is option for extra bass output . but as i said if you using only 2. sound system (i mean only left and right speaker) you will not any sound from your sub woofer (of course if you connect ?your sub woofer to sound card directly ?)
if you can give more details about your specs we can help you more better

  • Low subwoofer volume solution using home theather receiver

Hi, Creative should release a DTS-Connect enabled sound card because there is already one available to the public, it is named: AuzenTech HDA X-Plosion 7. DTS Connect. Product link: http://www.auzentech.com/products_xplosion.html.
Product Press release: http://www.marketwire.com/mw/release_html_b?release_id=09764[color="#000099">?Its necessary for Creative to launch this kind of product, because Creative has not been able to resolve the lack of?subwoofer volume issue with all audigy cards and XFI cards?when connected to all?home theater receivers through analog?outputs. I know the X-FI cards have a 0DB Subwoofer boost, but that is not the safest?way to?correct the issue and I?understand that?Creative released a?DTS Connect external card, but its way better to connect the sound card directly to the receiver with just one cable to avoid interferences. I have always liked Creative?s soundcards and I have always believed Creative products are the best, so please?release a DTS-Connect enabled sound card!!!
?Forum moderators, please send this important?info. to Product?Managers. Thanks!

I think the Creative engineers have already contemplated the various solutions to this LFE?problem. The DTS-60 was not created to solve the LFE problem, it was created to enable people to connect to a digital reciever using the card's?analogue outputs.
The +0 dB amplification?that the x-fi uses is the only solution. The problem is that the lineouts?produce a 3V-peak signal?unloaded. This means that the peak LFE voltage after +0 dB amplification would be 9.5 V. This is far too high for an amplifier's input (typically having an input sensitivity of -2 volts). So if you turned up the X-Fi to full volume, you would overload the sub's amplifier.
The X-Fi limits the sub output to 3V peak, you just need to turn down the master volume to give the sub channel enough headroom above the other channels so that it can reproduce the LFE + redirected bass signal without clipping.

  • Xfi extremegamer and inspire6600 speaker mix u

    Hello,
i already posted in the Soundblaster section but id like to post it here too.
My new soundcard the creative xfi extremegamer fatality works properly and gets installed fine, but i have a problem concerning audio output to the speakers.
When i try to check my speakers on their connectivity and positioning....only my front left, rear left, center and subwoofer work fine. My front right and rear right are showing difficulties...i cant get a sound out of them. When testing the speakers the woman voice of the testprogram says...that front right and rear right are in the same position as front left and rear left. The test says these left and right speakers all are on the left....the sound that should come out of the right speakers is coming through the left speakers according to the test.... In testing by playing music this is confirmed...only my left speakers, center and woofer play sounds....i installed as the manuel asked me to do so....i first tried with the cd drivers and afterwards with the updated drivers from the creative website...both gave the same result...no sound from both right speakers.
I tried to anaylyse the problem and therefor installed my previous soundcard again , i.e. a Audigy 2 card. This cards works fine after installing it and their are no probs with the speakers such as with the xfi card....im desperate now! i dont know how to solve this and nobody seems to have an asnwer. I checked configuration hints and guides over and over again on the creative site and i did it all fine, but nevertheless my right front and rear speakers arent working ... help!!
    regards steven

    solution found
1/there was physical damage to a large cilinder type hardware component...it did not stood straight anymore...it was bent to the right a little bit..i put it straight again
2/i installed over and over again till last time i used to choose "game modus" as my default mode" i now choose "entertainement modus" as default modus and everything worked fine
i dont know which of the two really solved the problem but these are my conclusions...works as a charm right now! i just love my xfi already! the crystalizer rocks!!!

  • Installation of XFi Plati

I recently installed the XFI Platinum in my new PC, along with Logitech z5550 5. speakers.
When trying to use the system, I cannot configure the coorect setup with the XFI.
Using the 3 wire hookup, the XFI doesn't seem to recognize the 5.. It has the sound coming out of only three speakers with no subwoofer. No matter how I try to configure orcalibrate the speakers, it doesn't work properly. I had to remove the XFI and use the Realtek HD Audio driver through my motherboard.
Any ideas before I throw it out?

    Sorry that didn't work, Stefan.
Perhaps HP has the wrong graphics driver pegged to the support page for your notebook.
I doubt I will be able to help you with this problem.
The only suggestion I can offer would be to try other Intel HD graphics drivers from other business notebooks such as the Elitebook 850 G1.

  • Rear sound goes to front speaker with DDL/DTS Connect (Xfi Platinum)

DRear sound goes to front speaker with DDL/DTS Connect (Xfi Platinum)T Hey there,
I just installed the newest modded driver from [url="http://forums.creative.com/t5/Sound-Blaster/X-Fi-Auzen-2-20-0002-0-RC4-2-dated-5th-November-2009/td-p/540790">here[/url] and now I have the problem that when using DDL/DTS Connect (yes I have it activated!): the rear left channel gets output on my front left speaker, and the rear right goes to front right. My externaldecoder is correctly identifying the output stream as DD/DTS and the front speaker and subwoofer works fine. Also when using my Xbox 360 the sounds correctly get to the rear speakers, so this is likely not a problem of my decoder.
Anyone had a similar problem to this? Any idea why this happens?
    My system:
    Windows 7 x64
    Intel Core2Quad Q6600
    4 GB RAM
    nVidia Geforce 9800 GTX+

H I noticed this doesn't just happen with DDL/DTS Connect. The same behaviour happens when I connect my headphones to the plugs on the back of my computer. The rear plugs don't output anything, while the front plugs have "double" output.
I tried all kinds of different drivers, always removing the previous ones and restarting before trying a new one. Right now I'm with the official 2.8.003 X-Fi driver.
    Please, somebody help!

  • X-fi titanium - subwoofer doesnt work

x-fi titanium - subwoofer doesnt work8 hi guys. I'm from germany, so my english is not very well, but i hope you can understand my problem.
    I have a x-fi titaniun. My soundsystem is a teufel concept e-400.
The subwoofer works fine from the beginning. Yesterday I connected the system with my xbox360.
After that connected again with my soundcard, but the subwoofer doesn't work.
Than I connected another sound device with the woofer and the subwoofer works fine.
I reinstalled the driver more than one time and removed the card and put it in again.
The subwoofer is still quiet. A also changed die line in from the center speaker with the subwoofer.
When i turn up the volume, the center speaker plays something like "scratching".
So the subwoofer works fine, but got no signal from my soundcard?!
    My system:
    Win Vista 64bit
    mainboard: asus p5q
    cpu: core 2 duo e8500
    gpu: geforce gtx 260
I hope someone can help me.

  • I am going to BUY an XFI Fatility in just a few minutes and

Just so everyone on this message board knows, I have been reading and reading
till the only way I can determine if this thing works is by getting one. I have
come to grips that if it were to cause me to slick my dri've Ill do it. All I have to
do is remove a Li've 5. Platinum and drivers. That should be know problem for the preinstallation of the XFI.
I want to let anyone on here interested know that there is an ongoing software conflict with Logitech product drivers, Asus update(has never worked properly in my opinion anyway) further more about Asus upate , YOU SHOULD ALWAYS FLASH YOUR MB BIOS WITH AFUDOS FROM A BOOTABLE DISK. COMMAND PROMPT "AFUDOS /i[name of .rom] /o[save .rom]. Also notice I did not put a space inbetween the i and the file name as well as o for the save. I just flashed my Asus P4C800E-Deluxe with a long running Beta Bios of 024.0. Since its been up for months that ususally means for Asus it hasnt gotten any complaints to any severe extent or they would have pulled it. I actually notice an improvment in my system in fact.
So I am going to Pay 300 bills for this card because It should be a great audio card and I love the 5.25 bays.
I already determined that the new Setpoint drivers for the new Logitech Laser Cordless Mice caused a conflict. Also I feel the middle mouse button is not a good solution for gamers with it moving from side to side. I use the middle mouse button to zoom frequently.
Anyway. I bought the MX58 and used the drivers with it. Any version of setpoint drivers above these caused me conflicts and problems which initially pointed to hardware. So my point is that some of the problems everyone is having may be driver related.
Asus update PERIOD is buggy and dangerous. So take my advice never flash with it or use it period.
Secondly any new Logitech driver for whatever product may be the culprit. I am not kidding. I have proven it on my system.
BUT, all of you are probably laughing saying I am going to get screwed. Well I have decided to take the risk. I assure you I will come back and let you know my findings.
So here is where my system stands prior to loading an XFI probably Fatality or the $200 dollar model.
.)Asus P4C800E-Deluxe flashed to the 024.0 Bios. (no problems)
2.)EVGA 6800 Ultra with the newest nvidia certified drivers. Tweaked only with reg keys.
3.)gig Corsair 3200 memory in 4 slots and running correctly in Dual Channel.
4.)Raid 0 with more than enough disk space.
Within the past 2 weeks I did a complete slick of my dri've. I didnt ghost it. I loaded a minimum of ap
    ps.
My favorite games only. So my computer is flying as a matter fact.
A good game to test your machine with is "Painkiller". Although the bugs in the game are well know. Crash to the screen. Hang during game play. If the game plays for long periods before any of these things occur than you have a really good game system running if you can play at 280x024 everything maxed in Painkiller that is. Also I play all my games in 280x024.
Furthermore take note of this. I just bought "Sin Emergence" ,loaded it and played it after Steam updated it. I had sound glitching problems in the game which I attribute to my outdated Li've 5.. It happens almost in all games. BUT I went to play F.E.A.R. Today and I got the infamous staticky movie intro visually as will as sound. I could go into video options once in the game and just make sure my res was set to my liking and get out and then it functioned I think properly.
Well I saved my save games and profile and uninstalled Fear. I reloaded it up to patch .4 and what do you know it works perfectly now.
So did Loading "Sin Emergence" cause this? Honestly its the only change I made since playing Fear so I would have to conclude that something did occur software wise to give me this problem.
I will tell you people I will troubleshoot the hell out of the XFI because I do believe that the moderators and such on the forum hear really dont know what is going on. The one thing alarming I did read was that
Creative Labs is prioritizing their work for Vista. That means compatibility in XP is not a high priority for them right now. Therefor it is up to us to get the thing to work.
    So Ill be back

Its been 4 days now since I installed the XFI Platinum. I am still notating many things to make sure I get the best performance out of it.
For me fortunately the XFI is working. It did what I hoped it would do and that is take away the glitching and crackling and popping I was getting using an SB Li've 5. Platinum.
For anyone interested, and just to let you know I am a computer services business owner and technician for 9 years and have been working with creative products since the very first Sound Blaster 6 was around. Thats Dos and windows days for those who want the simple.
To the previous poster you are absolutely correct about the processes loading. As a technician you must never think you know everything so using Google is an everyday thing for me. I have already done it in regards to finding out what certain files are that are running at startup and even an outdated service that I dont need running. Since I did what you suggested yesterday before even reading this I will let other people learn from your suggestion and mine for that matter.
But you are wrong in implying that it is okay to flash a bios while in the operating system. I have been using Asus boards for years.
I have a P2B, CUSL, CUSL2, The VIQ P3 board I cant remember the model. Slot though and now I have the P4C800E-Deluxe
I would say I have quite a bit of experience using ASUS motherboards wouldnt you? Actually I have 4 running right now. The VIA board is the only one not in use but still works.
My first experiences with ASUS update were not good as a matter of fact. When I discovered it was attempting to flash my bios while working in the OS I cancelled QUICKLY.
Any technician that is experienced like myself will STRONGLY reccomend a MB Bios be flashed from a clean boot from either a CDrom or Floppy. Yes I know Floppy dri'ves are archaic now but everyone of my computers has one and even the new PCI-E boards I am pretty sure have the option of having a 3.5 floppy dri've. If I had the money to upgrade to an SLI Asus board and I had 2 7900s I would . I assure you. but my system works great.
I believe I already stated its specs.
Anyway my experience with the XFI after 4 days is like this.
I found it necessary to reinstall the game F.E.A.R and when I did the game showed the Creative HD logo which I did not see before the reinstall. Obviously I saved my profile and games. Any gamer knows to do this. So after reinstall I enabled all 3 features in the game , put my saved games back and its great. I mean great. The 3d in my headphones is worth the money alone. I am hearing sounds and music that I never heard before.
So here is my point. I would conclude that in some cases in MAY be necessary to reinstall a game to get the card to funcetion properly. With that being said it MAY be necessary to reinstall your OS as well. For me since I was using the driver that comes with XP and the update from creative I was fortunatelly so far behind I believe that is why I havnt had to reinstall my OS. This is my opinion purely and reinstalling an OS to get the XFI to work properly Is obviously a posibility for many people.
Many computer users do not know about disabling processes at startup. Disabling services.
Most people expect the hardware to work right no matter what condition their computer is in.
So my final thought on the 4th day is that if you can try it and you dont care, try reinstalling XP if thats your OS. I mean clean install. Save everything you need to save.
BUT DO NOT DO THIS WITH THE XFI IN THE SYSTEM. After the OS is loaded and you have connectivity to the net , drivers for your video card , then open your box up and put the card in and try installing it the way it says.
That seriously might get the card to work for many poeple. Almost all games have saved game folders that you can save. Most every serious PC user that would buy this card would also have their games on another partition or dri've itself.
So here are the test games I have used so far.
    Doom 3
    Painkiller
    FEAR
I have many more games to test it with like Half Life 2, NFSMW, etc.
So Ill come back and tell you what I found.
Oh I have removed all unnessary processes I have been able to determine from Creative now and the XFI is running great. The Volume Panel doesnt seem to bog my system down. I mean I am playing FEAR at 280x024 with very good frame rates. I have EVGA 6800 Ultra OCed to 433Mhz Core Clock. I also OCed my P4 3.2 to 3.36
I hope every one gets theirs to work but I have to suggest that the XFI may not be so messed up as is beeing suggested by many. I almost didnt buy it because I read so many potential problems. I was most conserned about Service Pack 2. Incidentely I am still running Service Pack and the XFIs apps all loaded and are functioning properly. No errors.

  • XFi Can't Handle more than one sound at a time?!?

I bought an XFi Elite Pro and it was working great. Now, however, it will only handle one sound at a time. For example, if I'm playing a song in iTunes and windows makes a sound, the itunes song cuts out, the windows sound plays, then itunes abruptly cuts back in. Same thing in games. If I'm playing Warcraft the sound will cut out if Windows makes some kind of a sound.
How do I get my card back to being able to play multiple sounds/music simultaneously? I'm running Vista Ultimate on a Quad Core system with 4 gigs of RAM.

Sound like something messed up somehow. Maybe you can consider reinstalling the drivers again? @28.86.2.0
