Xfi xtreme audio no treble/bass contro

i just recently bought a xfi xtreme audio soundcard..
everything works well, except i cant find the treble / bass control in neither the windows volume panel nor creative launch console.. T_T
the treble / bass?control is grayed out, is this function not available for xfi extreme audio? or?issit the drivers problem?
i just feel disappointed with it if?it'streble / bass control is disabled for this soundcard..
becos even my old time SB Li've 5. Digital Entertainment got this?function...

i mean Creative shouldn't just repackaged the old AudigySE under X-FI series just because it redesign the software/driver used...well, they can named it as 'AudigyVista' if they want to let people know it's support under Vista....just named it as X-Fi XtremeAudio' is just a big misleading, can considered as cheating also....and the introduce of XtremeAudio also expose the ugly truth that the so called 'X-FI =Xtreme Fidelity' function such as Csytalizer is just the cheap effect emulated by the software and not the function that processed by the chip at all...

Xfi Xtreme Audio Problems with Microphone and other things NEED HELP!!!!

? Alright i have exhausted my search for an answer for my problems.... This is a last resort now!
Im running Windows 7
st Problem: I was having problems with my microphone where people heard themselves through my microphone. Ok well i have a creative Fatility series headset with a supposed noise canceling mic. So last night i was like screw it imma put in the install disk for my sound card Xfi Xtreme Audio.
This Arose my 2nd Problem: Now that the drivers were installed and i finaly got a volume panel it says im running Windows Vista. The name next to my card says Sound Blast X-Fi Xtreme Audio (Vista). Alright so i am running windows 7.... What the heck! Next thing is my microphone doesnt even work! This is just awsome btw and im pretty sure the volume panel isnt even the way it was when i was on an XP system.
So if anyone has a fix to this problem let me know it would be great!

A quick update i was able to fix Problem 2, i had to get rid of what i installed so im just back to Problem . I dont have the VOlume Panel anymore but my microphone still seems to make it so that people can hear themselves....

XFi Xtreme Audio Notebook--Onboard MI

I have the X-Fi Pro Elite on my desktop PC and am satisfied with the onboard MIDI it provides. I am looking at buying the X-Fi Xtreme Audio Notebook for use when I'm traveling but still working on MIDI files--can I expect the same or similar quality of onboard MIDI?

ok, I bought a low end card, but I'm not a gamer and I find it's sound fine for music. In Vista, I have drivers, but no mixer, crystallizer, or simulated 5.. Alchemy supports all Xfi, except mine. So,is Creative telling me, since I haven't purchased a high end card, all I'll get is plain vanilla stereo in Vista?

No, try to use the search function or something, that question has been asked hunderds of time already in this forum.
The drivers they have for Vista now are pretty much final, but they haven't got an audio console (that contains the crystalizer, eq and other features). For the audio console you'll have to wait until at least April.

XFI Xtreme Audio - Vista - XFX8800GTX - LA

Hi,?Hoping some regular contributors here can help with a familiar issue in Vista and it's driver support. I have a hi-spec gaming machine that works A-OK in XP, but despite recent release of NVIDIA's 00.64 drivers that supposedly support G80 cards like my 2 x 8800GTX in full SLI for DX9 I am getting very poor performance in real games. 3D benchmark scores are only slightly lower (00 down over 3,000+), but in real games - most noticeably COD2 the whole game lags noticeably both online and single player. Like most I put this down to NVIDIA and it's Vista drivers, but I am now wondering if my XFi card and it's drivers for Vista may also be part or even all of the issue!
The reason for this is that the sound (particularly 3D sound) lags as well and it is when the sound lags that the game lags. I have also read some of the technical posts by admin here and it mentions early issues with Vista and in particular 3D effects sound. Does anyone else have G80 graphics, Xfi sound and Vista and can they advise what you have found about this 3D sound issue and are the Feb 6th Drivers for Xfi and Vista any better than the previous ones I am now using?Ridesy

Just curious, you have quite a rig there, but with an odd mismatch in performance parts. The X-fi Extreme Audio is the budget model which really should not have been called an X-fi. It has no hardware mixing/processing (thats done by software) which?impacts performance. It doesnt even use the same drivers as the other 'real' X-fi cards. And unlike the other X-fi cards, it wont be compatible with the Alchemy software to regain the EAX effects in Vista. Record streaming audio with XFI Xtreme Audio C

I just got a new pc with this card and unfortunately it has no what u hear or stereo? mix record option.Can I loop the Digital output device(SPDIF) into the Digital input device(SPDIF) to record streaming audio? I can't install a different card because it will void my extended warranty. Thanks

I had no trouble recording "what you hear" streaming audio with my extreme audio (pcie). If you are using the same card I'll walk you through it, if you're using the pci version, take a look to see if it's the same and try it. Open Creative console launcher (by clicking the icon in the system tray), select the mixer, find the record ("rec") slider, (on my console it's on the far right) click the little triangle in the box at the top of the slider, select "what u hear", open creative mediasource, hit record, and start the streaming audio.

XFi Xtreme Audio Bluescr

My brother recently purchased one of these for his PC, fitted it and all was working fine for the past two months. Sometime last week he turned the PC on and there was no sound. At that point, his power supply failed, so a couple of days later my friend fitted a new PSU. When the PC started up, it BSOD'd. It was linked to the creative drivers, so he reinstalled the computer. It blue screened as soon as it tried to install the drivers for the sound card. So my friend took his xfi gaming card out, and the pc worked fine, installed, all was ok. So he put my brothers card in his pc, it blue screened. My brother took the card back to PC-World, they replaced the card with a brand new one. Put it in, it blue screened. he took it out, put an old audigy card in there, it worked fine.
His system spec;
AMD Athlon 64 3500
Epox EPN9+ Ultra (or something like that!)
Windows XP Home SP2.
My friend tried the card before windows did any updates, put the most recent drivers on and it failed. I don't know if he tried an older set of drivers, but if I remember correctly, the creative drivers don't get downloaded as part of the default Windows update (if a signed copy is available) so my brother wouldn't have downloaded new drivers to stop the sound working. If it bears any relevance, at the same time as the new PSU was fitted, my brother took the opportunity to install a new gfx card, Geforce 8600 card, but as that isn't causing issues, I'm not seeing a link there.
Any ideas?

X-Fi Xtreme Audio no bass on 5.1 surround under vista 64??

Hi there I'm not sure if this question has been asked before or not but here I go.
Is it possible to get the subwoofer on my 5. setup to work when playing music? I have an X-Fi Xtreme Audio card and I'm using Windows Vista 64bit. I downloaded the latest drivers.
When I play music only the front speakers work, there is no sound from the other speakers or the subwoofer. How do I get this to work?
I ran the tests to make sure all the speakers and the subwoofer are connected properly? (Speakers section of the X-fi menu) and they all seem to work. I have read somewhere that music is stereo and therefore wont work on the rear speakers but how do I get the subwoofer to work?

This is a known bug that Creative still did not fix.
For the Bass Redirection to work, the speakers must be small (not full range).
My package fixes the issue.

X-Fi Xtreme Audio PCIe still no bass on "Teufel 5.1"

As the title suggests I have still no bass. Neither the PAX driver nor the latest Creative driver (XFXA_PCDRV_LB__04_0000) fixed the problem and if I am not wrong, the bass redirection option isn't designated for the latest Creative driver.
The "SB P7X Series Support Pack 2.0" seems also not to be intended for the PCIe version, the setup doesn't even start .So, is there any owner of the obove mentioned soundcard who gets bass under Windows 7 32-bit ?

Problem: BassBoost not working after 2nd reboot.
1) Installed drivers
2) System rebooted
3) BassBoost works
4) System rebooted
5) BassBoost NOT WORKING!
... I press "reset to defaults" -> BassBoost can work again until I reboot the system...

Thank you very much for this fix Daniel. It works great now and has removed my frustration of having to reset my settings everytime I rebooted. It might seem like a small issue to some people, but I was ready to go out and buy a new sound card because I was getting tired of having to setup my sound all the time. Thanks again,Wookie

I want to ask you guys a question, worked ok With the 4Gb memory On Vista 32 all are good, this card are a little crippled from Creative , but i dont complained. This card sound just like Extrem Audio PCI, or like SB li've 24 or AudigySE with modded into Daniel driver Xtrem Audio.

I have a question about this card.
I've received my pc week ago and as I didn't know what to take about sound card (contrary to other pieces) and I didn't want integreted one, so I took the X-Fi Xtreme Audio PCI-Express. I didn't want to fall intro trap of X-Fi Xtreme Audio (normal) which isn't an X-Fi one in fact... BUT according to Wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound_Blaster_X-Fi#X-Fi_Xtreme_Audio ) Apparently mine isn't an X-Fi too? It's just a CA00 chipset one which 7. support?
With all the problems I have (sounds leave and come back without my intervention, or begin to be like headphone mode, you know, compressed sound), I would like an answer. This card is or isn't a "real" X-Fi sound card or it's just a poor Audigy?
Or CA00 is enough good contrary to EMU20?
Because the titanium one isn't so expensi've, I could go for it. (Yeah I'll ask to my sellor if I can give them back my sound card if I have too many problems!)

Important :
Before installing, remove all traces of any previous x-fi drivers and all x-fi driver related software, using add/remove programs within the control panel and following that, by removing the driver within "Device Manager". To clean up any excess files left on your system, you should use a 3rd party program to do this job (unless you've a good understanding of the registry) A recommended program to do this is Driver Sweeper - which is freeware, and available from http://www.guru3d.com/category/driversweeper/ or paid version at hardwareheaven.com driver cleaner.net
To install the software suite and driver :
Providing you've followed the steps above, restart your computer and run Setup.exe. Follow through the prompts until the installation has completed.

Please make sure you installed lastest direct x included in the suite of June 200 if you haven't done so.
