XI 3.0 for deregulated market communication?

Hi,
I'm trying to answer 2 questions for an Irish utility company around the use of XI for market communication, both for retail and wholesale market messages. The current EAI layer being used is SeeBeyond, and XI is being discussed as potentially a replacement. The 1st question is, how is XI positioned to handle large (1000's) market message volumes per day?
The second question is around any working exaples of XI and Lodestar Transaction Management Hub (LMTH)integration, has this been done in any industry before?

The SAP XI can handle very comfortable.. no issue at all.. we have this kind of couple of scenerios and all are success than expecatation

This is going well as needed. This SP is for blocking users to access unauthorized series. I need to block users for all marketing documents for series authorization . I was thinking that Can I make this SP for multiple Marketing Forms(objecttypes). But there was an issue that series code on every Marketing Forms is different.
Suppose if Primaty series code on OPOR is 147 then on ORDR same series code got change as 141. For this I created UDF for Series and set it on mandatory and set values same like series name (Primary, WA, WB).
or there is any other alternate for setting authorization on users series wise.
Plz suggest me if my query is possible for same. Otherwise I have to create SP for every form.

Problems uninstalling Forte for java 4 community edition

I just installed Forte for java 4 community edition at work, and when i tried to uninstalled it with add/remove programs from control panel. And the uninstall wizard start but then a Sun window apper and it is written, uninstalling and the uninstall program seems to be frozen.

i have the same problem, reading the documentation it seems you got to run the installer again and you ll get prompted with the "file deletion confirmation"
too bad i have a self-installing package and i don't get the prompt...
guesses anyone?

how to generate the url for this and what is the transaction code .

Q.my scenario is like SOAP to proxy. while using receiver proxy also we are planing using AAE method.
SOAP to Poxy in this case.
For sender SOAP system, we can generate the WSDL link in ID part.
for Reveiver proxy give the integration engine URL.

An exception handler is obligatory for synchronous RFC communication

I am getting the error "An exception handler is obligatory for synchronous RFC communication" when I try to activate an Integration Process. Under a synchronous Send step, under Exceptions, I have System Error and the RFC.Exception Application Error to be handled. For both I have given the same Exception handler block. Is this not allowed? Why am I not able to go to same Exception handler block in case of both System Error as well as Application Error?

you are right, it was erroring out due to the next step. Now if there is system error or exception, it will go to the exception branch. Here I need to have the ability to restart the process from this point after being alerted and having fixed the issue. So I am thinking of doing the send step again in the exception branch. But since the application error initially will exist soon after the alert is issued, this step will complete as I cannot handle application error a second time (this is where it was giving that error that exception handler was mandatory).
Is there a way in which I can stop/fail the process after the exception branch gives the alert so that I can restart the failed branch again?

let us assume we are implementing it in BANKING industry
here the requirement is in improvement in the field processing and all the effeciency of the sales or feet on street
so we implement the CRM marketing with CIC
what it will do that we start with first the readiness document that what all are the requirement of the bank and how the company can cope it with the help of CRM
then we prepare the BLUEPRINT to state that the data to be processed will be strucutured in CRM in how many phases or the timely schedule of the roll over of CRM in bank
next up we start with the configuration ,like we have to start campaigns and generate leads for the banks which may get converted into the opportunities
so have to do all the configuration of CRM according to the requirements being given
one thin g i forgot which is very imp is that we do requirement gathering,its pretty imp part of entire process
after getting these only we can do whatever we want with CRm
so after that we realise the configuration in realisation phase then we do those UATs and SITs
this way we phase out the CRM in any sector
just a gist of everything

External lists for updating marketing attributes

I'm now working in CRM 3.1, but we're going to upgrade for 5.0 in the autumn. In this relation I'm working on a pre-project where I'm looking for the possibilities for using external lists for updating marketing attributes on existing BPs. How can I map this fields? Do I use advanced mapping fields or structure enhancement using appended fields?

Yes, this function become standard for CRM 5.0. CRM5.0 ELM provide different format types for create BPs (with marketing attributes), activities and leads. You need to define different format type when you create mapping format. For updating marketing attributes, you need to choose type "Business Partner" type so that all the marketing attributes will be available for you to pick to create the mapping format.

Event interface for inter-portlet communication

In which jar file can I find the com.bea.netuix.events.Event interface?
I wish to offer some support for inter-portlet communication while running inside a 8.1sp4 weblogic portal server.
Firstly, there is almost no documentation for working with Custom/Generic Events and definitely none for working with "Invoke a java portlet method"
Found out by decompiling the code that you can do the following:
add methodName(HttpServletRequest, HttpServletResponse, Event) to you backing file, or
add methodName(ActionRequest, ActionResponse, Event) to your java portlet
In both cases, I need find the jar file containing the "Event" interface. Have found most of the other classes in netuix_servlet.jar
Would also appreciate any further info on when the above methods actually get called with respect to the "processAction" and "processRender" methods for jsr168 portlets...

Found the answer after a pretty manual search - its located inside:
BEA_HOME/weblogic81/portal/lib/netuix/system/netuix_system.jar
All other interfaces being inside the WEB-INF/lib/netuix_servlet.jar, this one class from this package has been packed into a jar at the system classpath level!!
Had to manually look at the classpath in startWeblogic.cmd and then open up every jar file, follow dependent jar files via the manifest.mf etc...

You can install the Java proxy runtime on the SAP J2EE Engine Release 6.40 SP5 or higher.
The messaging system that the Java proxy runtime uses to send messages to the Integration Server must also be installed on the J2EE server.
To send messages from a J2EE application, the application must be programmed against beans that encapsulate all details about the Java runtime. The following classes are generated:
· Proxy classes that send or receive messages using the Java proxy runtime.
· Bean classes as an outer shell that conform to the J2EE standard. The beans call the proxy classes for communication.
The classes must be deployed on the J2EE server together with their J2EE application

Signed up for the Technical Communications Suite Subscription yesterday. Now when I launch FrameMaker, I get a dialog box saying I either have to use it as a trial version (for 30 days) or buy it. If I click buy it prompts for a serial number.
On installation when I tried to access my adobe account in the dialog box that appeared. It said I didn't have an internet connection. My internet was working fine and I got the same message even once I launched my browser.

Did you install using an account with admin privileges? Do you have any Group or other security policies on machine that may restrict new software installs?
For installation issues, it's best to contact customer support.
