XI 3.1 sp2 url path for report folders

In XI R2:
To navigate to the report folders we have used :
http://<server name:Portnumber > /businessobjects/enterprise115/desktoplaunch/InfoView/main/main.do?objId=0
What is the equivalent of url path in XI 3.1 SP2..
Edited by: senthil gobal on Apr 29, 2010 10:56 PM

The path doesn't change in XI 3.x the way it did in XIR$2 also the SDK has changed. You may want to post in the SDK forums to get help updating your code. If you were hitting main.do
I assume your code was creating a logon session for you in some way? There is a link to the SDK forums in the sticky post at the top of this forum.

The specified file or folder name is too long, the url path for all files and folders must be 260 character or less
    can we increase this limit?
    MCTS,ITIL

    Hi,
As I understand, you want to increase the length of URL path in SharePoint 2010.
Per my knowledge, this limit cannot be increased. SharePoint limits URL length because all relative URL links are stored in the clear forms on the SharePoint content DB and often this links are used as primary keys to link one table with another. Fields
which are used to store these links (for instance tp_DirName from the AllUserData table) allow storing only 256 characters.
There are several ways that you can resolve or mitigate URL length problems in the SharePoint Server 2010 environment. The following list provides suggestions:
    1. Upgrade all the end-user browsers to Internet Explorer 8, which has a longer URL length limit.
    2. Use shorter names for sites, folders, and documents and control the depth of the site and folder structures to reduce the lengths of URLs.
    3. If possible or allowed, use ASCII names for sites, folders, and documents. This will avoid situations where the URL will be lengthened by being encoded.
    4. To reduce the risk that the SharePoint Server 2010 end-users will encounter problems because of URL length limitations, we recommend that you apply the following effective limits in the deployment:
256 Unicode (UTF-16) Code units - the effective file path length limitation, including a domain/server name
128 Unicode (UTF-16) Code units - the path component length limitation

  • How to set up the path for report in 10gAS?

I have a report which can be run in one folder A but not in the other folder B, both folder are included in the forms_path in default.env of AS. How can I set up the path for the report in AS so that the report server knows to look for the report in the folder B?

    Hello,
If you don't specify the "full path name" for your reports, the file will be searched in the directories listed in REPORTS_PATH or in the directory specified in the property sourceDir

  • Correct URL path for images on HTML reports

We are using Reports Server 6.0 and rwcgi60.exe to display HTML reports on the web. A number of our reports have embedded charts in them which get converted into gifs when the HTML report gets generated.
The problem is that the HTML report has a <base href="http://machinename/cache/xyz.html"> at the top of the report. In our case, the machinename is the name of the web-server. However, when folks go to our website, they actually see our domain name rather than the internal machine name of the web-server. Hence, the images do not show up as the URL associated with the image is not accessible by folks coming from outside the web-server.
Is there some setting that will help us set the base href associated with generated reports? Or is there some other way to get the reports to show up with images on the web?
    Thanks

You can't change the base tag - but I'm not sure I understand the problem. If machinename.domain is the full name of the machine running the webserver, and this is what was used when calling the CGI, then this is what the base tag will have. Does your machine have 2 names or something - and only 1 gets resolved to some folks?

  • Change the URL path for CQ?

How do you change the base URL so that /content/geometrixx/en does not show up in the URL?  If www.geometrixx.com was the URL how do you make it so that /conent/geometrixx/en does not show up in the URL for the homepage?

How do you currently distingush between your desktop site and your mobile site? Is it based on host name?
If you have two different sites that are distingushed by host name you can't solve that problem with the JCR Resource resolver. You have two choices:
Use Apache mod_rewrite to do the rewrites at the Apache layer. With mod_rewrite you can use the host name as part of your rule definition and map the host names to the correct paths.
Use the /etc/map approach to configuring the resource resolver - you can see that documentation at https://cwiki.apache.org/SLING/flexible-resource-resolution.html- this will allow you to configure different resource resolution based on request data.

  • Sharepoint Workflow - change URL Path for inside and mobile device email access

I have a workflow that work perfect when accessing from a desktop.  An email is sent with a link to the item,
    [%Workflow Context:Current Item URL%].  The real address is http://sql/layouts/.......
When the user tries to click on the link in the email from a mobile device, it doesn't work.
If I change the mobile device to http://50.xx.xxx.xxx/layouts... it works fine!  (50.xx.xxx.xxx is the port open on our firewall to access SharePoint)
How can I add a separate link in my workflow email so that users can access the SharePoint task list item from a mobile device?
I was thinking of having a link for the inside, http://sql... and a link for the mobile device, http://50.xxx.xxx.xxx/...
    Thank you!

List item URLs are basically a URL to the list item using the item Id. In this case 159 is the item id. The URL represents a downloadable resource like a file in a document library. However in a document library you would get the name of the file plus
it's extension. For example Contract.pdf. The .000 represents the file extension for the list item URL. If you typed in your URL in the browser to servername/list name/159_.000 you would be prompted to save the file (list item). You can save it to your local
file system and it will be a file called 159_.000. However the file will be empty since a list item does not contain any binary content. You will have to some how modify the workflow to replace the servername/list name/159._000 to use servername/lists/list
name/dispform.aspx?id=159. This URL will display the view form for the list item.

  • Dynamic url link for Crystal Reports Enterprise?

    Hi all,
We recently upgraded to SBOP 4.0 SP2 and are looking at migrating our existing Crystal Reports from Crystal Reports 2011 to Crystal Reports for Enterprise 4.0.
Up to this point we have been utilizing the BW Publisher and role menus in BW.
Our long term goal is to migrate users from the BW GUI to the BI LaunchPad but this will be a gradual process.
Until we make the final switch to the LaunchPad we need to maintain the links in the role menus. I found the Document Link option for Crystal Reports so I have a URL to point to the report that we can put in the role menu, but the system value is not dynamic. Is there a way to make this dynamic like we can do with web template URLs?
For example, when using a web template URL we can use the <bsp_server> parameter in the URL to determine the SAP system. Is there an equivalent that can be used in the Document Link for the Crystal Report to determine the respective SBOP system?
    Thanks.

  • Inventory Report-Replacement path for Base UOM to Case and Standrad Cost

Hi, We have a Scenario as below:
    Question1:
We have a multiprovider contains 4 infocubes and 2 Master Data objects
    a.Demand
    b.Inventory
    c.Sales Orders
    d.In Transit
    Master Data objects
    a. Material (contains Base UOM to Case as Key Figure Attribute and also Base UOM as an attribute)
    b. Material Location (Contains material as an attribute and also Standard Cost as a Key Figure attribute)
At the report level two formula variables are defined with replacement path for showing the Base UOM to Case and Standard Cost in columns.
We have 4 reports on this multiprovider. There is a dialy sales report which gives the following details
Material, Location, MRP Controller, CalDay, Base UOM, Actual Sales(AS), Dependent Demand(DD), Consumption Qyt(CQ), Base to Case UOM, Standard Cost
In this report for all the records the Base to UOM and Standard Cost column is coming with values which is nothing but the replacement path on the material master key figure attribute. Though this report is on the multiprovider all the major keyfigures (AS, DD and CQ) are coming from a single cube( this is an observation from myside).
We have another report which is the Inventory Report with the following details:
Material, Location, MRP Controllder, Calday, Base UOM,      Unrestricted Inventory(UI), committed Inventory(CI), Back Order Qty(BOQ), In Transit by Sh/Rec(ITS), In Transit Pipeline(ITP), On Order Qty (OOQ), Current Inventory Position (CIP), Quality Inspection Stock(QIS), Block Stock(BS), Base to Case UOM, Standard Cost
Now in this report for all the records the Base to Case UOM and standrad cost is not showing up. Is there anything which needs to be done in order to get the Base to Case UOM and standard cost for all the records.
    Question2:
When Non-Cumulative and Cumulative key figures are combined at the multi provider and also at the report level, will there be any problem?
    Regards

  • Xcelsius for Reporting Services URL

    Hi,
I am trying to use sql server reporting services in my Xcelsius project. Configured Xcelsius Gateway Service on the SQL server. Created Data source and report. After this, I was trying to connect to the gateway from xcelsius designer. For this i added a reporting service button. In the button's properties, it asks for 'Xcelsius for Reporting Services URL'. Which URL should be specified here?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Shyam.

    The URL is
    u201Chttp://servername/xrs/xrs.asmx/GetReportsu201D
But make sure to test the installation, if its working or not. To test it just open a web browser and type the above url.

  • Task List URL (to FR Report) opens in new window, but not for all users!

    Hi all,
I am not sure if this is the correct forum to ask the question (for me it looks like an IE topic), but perhaps anybody can help me anyway...
In one of our Planning apps (9.3.1) we defined several task lists and tasks that link to relevant FR Reports (URL Tasks). If I open the URL task in basic view the relevant FR Report opens in the same IE Window (in the main frame of the planning app). If my colleague opens the same task the FR Reports opens in a new IE Window.
My problem is that I dont have any ideas where I can set the relevant property. Is that a planning property, a workspace property or an IE property setting??? Where can I adjust the settings that for ALL users the URL opens the Report in the same window??????
    Thanks in advance!!!!
    Kind Regards
    André
    P.S.: We are on IE8.

Have you both got the same settings in Tools > Internet Options > Tabs Settings
There was also a bug though I can't say if it is related to your issue
9549216 - Instead of a new tab, a new window is displayed after you create a Financial Reporting task in Workspace.

Make sure the filename has an absolute path. If the path is relative it will point to a different location depending on where you run the program from.
When you run it from within Xcode itself the binary is buried way inside the project hierarchy (you can see where it is by selecting the program in the  Products folder and doing a Show in Finder).
The safest bet is to always specify a specific directory for any writes you do.
    regards
As an example for this program in Xcode (assumoing you will be able to see the images)
    The binary is located here

  • Configure virual path in Apache for reports

I need to configure a virtual path in Apache for Oracle reports.
Where do I have to do that?
    null

I don't know for reports, but from an apache perspective, look at httpd.conf. Search for Alias ... and just copy that line. Change it to whatever virtual / real path you want.
Restart apache ... and you should have your new virtual path.

  • Relative path for images in RTF templates

    Hi everybody!
    When I insert an image in a RTF template, I put its path into the web dialog, in order to see correctly the picture when I open the report from the xmlp server, in this way: url:{"http://servername/analytics/res/Images/image.bmp"}
How can I make this path relative, in order to see the images even if the server name changes?
    Thanks so!

    Hi Tim,
I am using BIP 10.1.3.3.2. I am able to access system variable CURRENT_SERVER URL.
    Steps:
    <?param@begin:CURRENT_SERVER_URL?>
    <xsl:value-of select="$ CURRENT_SERVER_URL"/>
CURRENT_SERVER_URL is getting printed in BI Publisher. Value displayed is http://xx4697.xxx.co.in:9704/xmlpserver.
Now we are importing xsl into RTF template. File aaa.xsl is stored at [BIP_Installation_Directory\oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\default-web-app]
We have hardcoded the path for XSL in RTF. The path is <?import: http://xx4697.xxx.co.in:9704/aaa.xsl?>
As we want to set dynamic path we changed hardcoded xsl path to <?import: {$CURRENT_SERVER_URL}/../aaa.xsl?> but it is not working. Sometimes BIP is taking local path of MyDocuments folder and sometimes Desktop path. If I put that XSL file in MyDocuments folder or Desktop, it is working fine. But ideally it should refer [BIP_Installation_Directory\oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\default-web-app] path...
    Thanks,
