XI acknowledge from BPM

HI Experts,
Trying to make acknowledge from XI to R/3 through BPM but get error message “Unable to convert the sender service <BPM_Process> to an ALE logical”. The XI process flow is from SAP with Idoc to XI – BPM and to JDBC. Have check setting in Adapter specific identifier which has logical system.  Could experts have same experience before, please advice?
Thanks in advance.
Katjun

Hey,
Have you maintained all the ALE setting from R/3 to XI > and the Port on Idoc Adapter IDX1 >?  Once try to specify Adapter Specific identifier to the bpm process .

  • Send XML as acknowledgment from BPM

    Hi  Experts
I have scenario where our XI box will receive an XML, so whenever we receive an XML XI should send back another XML as an Acknowledgment. Is there any way I can send an custom XML format as an acknowledgment?
In BPM Send step I could see an Aknowledgment option but there I didnt find any option where I can specify the XML which I want to send as an Aknowledgment.
Is it possible to do this in XI?
Can anyone please let me know If I send a normal Aknowledgment for the request how that format looks like.

  • Acknowledgement from receiver file Adapter with out BPM

    Hi Gurus,
I am trying to get Acknowledgement from Receiver file Adapter with out Using BPM.
Here is the scenario. I am sending files from different Sender Adapters. There is only one target that is File Adapter. After each successfull and failure transaction I need an Acknowledgement that needs to trigger another receiver adapter and send the the file name and timestamp to that file.
Hope this is a complicated scenario. Please help me.
    Thanks,
    Kevin

    from sap note 821267
    6. Acknowledgements
        * Q: Does the File Adapter support acknowledgements?
        * A: You need to distinguish system acknowledgements (indicating that a message has been received by the target system) and application acknowledgements (indicating that the message has been successfully processed by the application on the receiver side).
The receiver of an XI message will only send an acknowledgement back to the sender if the sender has requested one. However, the File Adapter has no functionality that relies on the receipt of an acknowledgement, so it never requests one.
On the other hand, if a File Adapter Receiver receives a request to send an acknowledgement, it will do so for a system acknowledgement request. Application acknowledgements are not supported at all as the File Receiver has no way to determine if the written file has been correctly processed by the back-end application, which is what a positive application acknowledgement would imply.
this means that your requirement is ideally not possible without a BPM

  • File Adapter Acknowledgement in BPM - NEW Question

This is in cntinuation of my earlier question:
    File Adapter Acknowledgement in BPM
Now I understand that the send step should wait to get the acknowledgement from file adapter.
As I understand This ack may be +ve or -ve.
<b>So my question is how do we test for + ve acknowledgement in the next step / switch?</b>
    Thanks,
    HImadri

    hi,
in condition editor of this switch step you need to choose technical objects
and check it they = true
    for sender apps
you can also use Main/MessageClass field
have a look at the bottom of this page to
    check their values:

  • IDOC Ack from BPM to SAP R3 runs into an error

    Hi All,
I have a scenario which sends an DEBMAS IDOC to an Integration Process "IP_SPLIT_Site" which process the IDOC and sends it to multiple systems.
When the IDOC is sent from SAP R3 to the receiving Integration Process "IP_SPLIT_Site" in XI, it is processed successfully.
Since the SAP system is expecting an acknowledgement from the receiver of the IDOC, the integration process "IP_SPLIT_Site" tries to send back an acknowledgement for the IDOC which runs into an error because it is not able to convert "IP_SPLIT_Site" into an ALE logical system.
    The error displayed is :
Unable to convert the sender service IP_SPLIT_Site to an ALE logical system
    Error code : ATTRIBUTE_INV_SND_SERV
I am getting this error in all my scenarios where an IDOC is sent to an Integration Process.
Is there any solution avoid this error?
    Thanks & Regards;
    Bbnu

    Hi Michal
The 1st approach seems to be helpful.
about the 2nd approach if i am sending the Ack through a separate send step in BPM then i suppose it would show the same error "Unable to convert the sender service IP_SPLIT_Site to an ALE logical system".
    OR
Do you mean to say that we could send a separate message of type ALEAUD to the SAP system?
for 3rd approach, i wouldn't wanna handle many partner profiles.
    Thanks for your reply,
    Rgds;

  • Message not sent from BPM

    Hi,
I have modeled a BPM in which Idoc is received from ERP and it is sent to CRM.
When I see in SXMB_MONI, I find a message with PE as outbound. The Workflow shows it is completed and the last step in Workflow is "Send message Asynchronnously" with Workflow result "Transfer message to Pipeline".
But the message is not received in CRM. When I displat the message in SXMB_MONI, I find the following:
    1.Original Message
    2. Acknowledgement
    3. PE_Adapter
When I go to the 1st and third message, The last step it is stuck up is "Call Adapter". But later nothing has hapenned.
Anyone has any idea regarding this.
    Thanks,
    Prasanna

    HI Faulhaber,
I used Process view and it only shows the message recived from Source to BPM. But no message exists which shows Message sent from BPM to Destination.
But Workflow log shows Message Sent asynchronously.
May be I think there is some problem in configuration.
    Thanks,
    Prasanna

  • Acknowledgement without BPM

    Hi.
We have a scenario asynchronous ABAP proxy to JDBC.
We have setup the scenario so that the Abap proxy requests a acknowledgement from the JDBC adapter. This is working fine.
Is it possible to set an event for the acknowledgement or to wait for the acknowledgement before continuing?
We do not want to use a BPM for this.
    Thanks

    Hi Rodney,
from within your proxy, you must evaluate the ack and take different actions based on the status.
The code would be something like shown in the "Querying an Acknowledgment" section of the following link:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/f4/8620c6b58c422c960c53f3ed71b432/frameset.htm
Also, you may wanna wrap the ack query in a loop (DO ENDDO) while the ack is not returned, since it may take a while.
    Regards,
    Henrique.

  • Handling idoc acknowledgements inside BPM

    Hi,
I have a scenario like this
    File - >XI BPM -> SAP (idoc)
after posting idoc into sap ALEAUD idoc will be triggered for sending acknowledgements back to XI
    ALEAUD SAP->XI BPM -> email
I have activated application acknowledgement in the send step of BPM and also cofigured ALEAUD idoc in the SAP, it is working fine I could able to see the acknowlegement back from SAP system in SXMB_MONI. But my requirement is to read the acknowledgement messsage back in XI and if there are any errors during idoc posting I should send that error message as an email . I tried configuring reciever determination as follows
      Sender SAP
      sender interface ALEAUD
      reciever XIBPM
      reciever interface ALEAUD
But this also didn't work, I am not seeing any message transferred between SAP and XI for ALEAUD idoc . I referred SAP how to do docs for handling idoc acknowlegement and also looked into some forum discussion but nothing helped. Is there anyway to read the acknowledgement messsage in the BPM?
If anyone had come across such kind of scenario please help me.
    Thanks,
    Jayanth

    Hi Gasio,
I checked SM58 nothing got stuck in that queue. Moreover I am explaining part of my BPM steps actually this is not the exact steps involved in BPM, lots of validation and data extractions are done prior to idoc send step.
I am getting positive acknowledgement from SAP .  I am seeing the idoc message in the acknowledgement payload. My question is how to read the content of acknowledgement message in BPM.
I have created correlation between idoc and acknowledgement idoc in the BPM as shown below
    Recieve file
    Transform to idoc
    Send step ( idoc )
    Recieve (ALEAUD idoc)
But the process is waiting in the recieve step.
    Thanks

  • How to access/invoke Web Service from BPM Process

The following steps required to attach and invoke web service method from process:
    1) Add a module in the catalog for ex WebServiceMO
    2) Add WebService Catalog component demoWebService in WebServiceMO
    3) Put ur WSDL address in WSDL address field like "http://localhost:8080/test/test?wsdl"
    4) Click next to introspect the web service it will import required files and setting from the url to your project
    5) Now for invoking webservice just call the method for ex.
    @return as String[]
    getTestStringList(TestInterfaceService, out @return : @return)
logMessage "web service calll result >>"+length(@return)+">>>"+@return[0]
Here @ return is the return from webservice call.
this way u can access web service from BPM process.
Edited by: Anurag Yadav on Jul 17, 2009 2:19 PM

I have a web service which does not return any value but when I introspect the web service, I have an out parameter to it.. Not sure why?
    For e.g.
    TestServiceListener.addTestNotes(TestNotes : testNotes, out TestNoteResponse : testNoteResponse);
So here I see an out parameter, but my web-service has no out parameter...
Any idea why is this happening?

The details/ID in NWDS Service Reference must exactly match the SOA configuration. Sometimes it's possible you have changed the reference or the group itself and something changed to become mismatched.
It's possible they don't match - but the SG itself will show green in NWA since the service exists and responds on the target system. Does the ID listed in the error match what is shown in the NWDS project?

  • Using Standard Container Variables in Email Alerts from BPM

    Dear All
While creating alert categories from ALRTCATDEF we have a Long Text Tab where we can use Container  Variables like  SXMS_MSG_GUID ,SXMS_RULE_NAME, SXMS_ERROR_CAT , SXMS_ERROR_CODE etc create the mail contents.  We can also display the message passed by the BPM by using the variable
    ALERTDYNAMIC_SHORTTEXT , ALERTDYNAMIC_LONGTEXT .
In my case when I call the alert category from the BPM , the message passed by the BPM is displayed through the ALERTDYNAMIC_LONGTEXT in the alert inbox , but I am not able to utilize the other container variables (like SXMS_MSG_GUID ,SXMS_RULE_NAME, SXMS_ERROR_CAT ) for displaying the messageid ,error category etc. Using these variables for alerts invoked from BPM results in Blank Values for all the container variables.
If the alert is not invoked from BPM these variables are getting populated.
My question is is there a way by which we can utilize these variables for Alerts thrown from BPM.

  • RFC call From BPM

    Hi,
I have a  scenario where I need to access a Function Module from BPM for certain business validations. My FM is in XI and I need to invoke that FM from BPM. How can we do that ? I am trying an RFC call but it gives me an error "No identifier defined for the system".
Pl advise, where am I wrong OR if there is a better way to do that.
    Thanks,
    Sid

This doesn't look like an issue for BPM.  Please check whether the connection is working fine by testing a call to the RFC in a simple scenario(file to RFC or whatever).
In BPM all you need to do is a synchronous send step with abstract message type defined for both request and response structures of the FM . And in ID a receiver determination+channel and all for this step.
    Best of luck...

  • How to initiate the call JDBC_Sender adapter from BPM?

    Hello,
I have a periodicall proccess in BPM. After receiving some message in BPM  I check some fileds of the message. If condition is true I need to initiate SQL request to external DB, to receive the message and send it after transformating to SAP.
How to initiate the call JDBC_Sender adapter from BPM? As I understand I need to use JDBC Sender adapter and once.
How to construct the correct BPM?
    Thank You

the message comes into BPM. You check for some conditions and if true use a send step (Sync) that would query into DB table and as a reponse retrieve the related data. After the send sync step have the transformation step and another send step to SAP.
U would not configure sender jdbc but u wud need to config for recv jdbc. this wuld service the request and in response return the set of data from the table
