XI Adapter FTPS to a CUTE FTP server

We have a problem during the connection to a CUTE FTP server in FTPS mode in a Passive connection. The port on firewall are correctly opened.
We have the messages from log
Error during disconnect from ftp server test.car-pass.be, ignored: com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: 331 Password required for t403425770.
Channel CC0002_S_File_CarMetricError: Error connecting to ftp server 'test.car-pass.be': com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: The control connection to the FTP server test.car-pass.be timed out while reading the server reply.
We have the same problem in case of sender and receiver channel
The problem is we have is sometimes, the connection works sometimes we receive this message.
When it works,  all the process is right.
Is there anybody who heard about this ?

  • Process TIFF file from FTP server using File/FTP adapter

    Hi,
    I have a requirement to process a scanned document TIFF file from a directory on an FTP server using the File/FTP adapter and process through XI into a Web Service via a receiver SOAP adapter.
    My question is can the file/FTP adapter be used to process the TIFF file into XI from an FTP server ? Also, what settings need to be made on the file adapter to allow this file to be processed into XI ?
    Thanks in advance
    Colin

    hi colin,
    TIFF is type of image file, it can be converted to binary using java mapping

  • File(FTP) Adapter doesn't pick any file from FTP server

    Hi All,
    This is a strange problem. I am trying to pick all the file from a FTP server using File Name: . . But the file adapter doesn't pick any file from the directory. When  I change it to a specific file name eg. ABC.txt then it picks up the file ABC.txt only.
    My requirement is to pick up all files in the directory and I just do not seem to understand what is wrong. I have used this wildcard option several times earlier and it always worked fine. But in this case, this does not work.
    I changed the FTP server to point to an internal FTP server and it works fine.
    I have checked all my parameters and everything looks okay. Like I mentioned earlier, if you specify exact file name, it picks up the file.
    Any guess as to what is going on here?

    Transport Protocol: FTP
    Message Protocol: File
    source directory: /test or test ( <b>either one works</b>)
    file name: * or . or *.txt <b>nothing works</b>
    server: ftp server name
    port: 21
    data connection: passive
    user: ******
    pass: ******
    connect mode: permanently
    transfer mode: text
    QOS: exactly once
    poll: 10 secs
    processing mode: archive ( <b>changed to test and delete as well, but made no difference</b>.)
    archive dir: dir path
    file type: text
    adapter specific attributes:
    checked: set adapter specific attributes
    and file name.
    status: active.

  • How to save Final Cut Pro project to an ftp server to then open on a different computer

    Hello, I work for a graphic design firm that also does video production for businesses. We are using Final Cut Pro X in our office which has an FTP server connected to all office computers.
    What we want is to be able to have on employee start a project in Final Cut Pro X, save it to the server; then have another employee open up the same project and continue working from a different computer.
    Right now, we have a lot of our Final Cut files saved to the server, and the files will show up in the server on the other employee's machine. BUT, we scroll in the server to the file for the Final Cut Pro project on the other computer, and the file is grayed out, unable to be opened on the new computer.
    I've tried right clicking and choosing "open with Final Cut" and Final Cut does then open, but right before it opens the project within Final Cut, a message comes up saying "The document could not be opened. Open documents from within Final Cut Pro," which of course, I see no way to do that from within Final Cut Pro.
    I've also called Apple Care, they reminded me that we can't have one project open on two computers at the same time, and that's fine. We are willing to close the project on computer one to then open on computer two.
    If you have an answer let me know. We don't want to have to load onto an external hard drive to then load onto the other machine, especially since we have a server ready to go.
    Thanks for your help.

    You can share projects via the ftp server, but you need to:
    1) Have all the media in identical events on each editor's machine;
    2) Set up the project  and share the entire folder for that project first;
    3) Afterwards, you can share just the project file itself
    You CANNOT work directly on projects and events stored in the ftp server.
    See Steve Martin explain how to do all this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hu-ga7fxKh8

  • How to schedule Adapter to Pickup File on external FTP Server

    Any solution is very much appreciated for the following Problem.
    My Scenarios are  File to XI to FIle
    My problem is XI is picking up file on FTP Server while file is being written by Webservice ( This Webservice can not write .tmp file or movie file from one directory to another. So these options are ruled out )
    These are proposed steps:
    1. Job Scheduler creates Dummy File on XI File System
    2. XI Picks up File on XI File System and Invokes External Webservice and receives Response that a File "MadFile" has been written to external FTP Server.
    3. After XI receives response from webservice, XI should get "MadFile" from FTP Server
    How Can I implement step 3 above.
    ( Please do not suggest executing scripts as the the application where webservice running do not want to write it )

    ST,
    At times one has to take a stand and using a BPM like this is actually complicating things. Using the script option is the best solution!
    Menahwile, even BPM solution doesn't make sense to me as like you correctly told, your Second Receive Step can poll over the file and pick up the temporary file! Even if you can handle this using Adapter Scheduling, you would need Correlation and I am pretty sure that as you are using a dummy file, this also cannot be achieved!
    Would suggest that another option would be to ask the webservice to send a call directly to XI after writing the file. The moment XI receives the Webservice request,  XI can invoke a java proxy to collect the file ( polling using File adapter is not going to help ) and then pass this file to the integration engien and so on.
    Even my solution is not a very good one, but, if nothing works out, it is something atleast. But, I would ask you to push for the tmp folder plus script.

  • How to connect to a FTP server using a proxy in a DMZ with XI file adapter?

    Hello,
    Want to connect to an ftp server using a proxy in the DMZ. I don't see any standard options in the XI file adapter to use a standard. Is there a workaround?
    I already looked at https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=57137
    But it didn't help me.
    Regards,

    U can't use FTP over SSH i.e., SFTP. But u may use FTPS by enabling the SSL layer on J2EE of XI. See this

  • Urzent: Delete files in FTP server using FTP receiver adapter

    Hi Experts,
    We are doing 2 asyncronous scenarios. frst scenario should delete existing file and place the request file. Second scenario should pick(delete) response file and delete request file it placed also.
    Scenario 1 : File(NFS) to FTP  (Asynchronous)
    Scenario 2: FTP to NFS  (Asynchronous)
    Scenario 1: (Receiver FTP Adapter )
    step-1: PI has to delete all existing files in FTP server
    step-2: PI has to place Request file in FTP
    Scenario-2: ( Sender FTP Adapter)
    step-1: PI has to Delete request file i FTP server
    Step-2: PI has to pick and delete response file in FTP server
    Doubts:
    How can we do above steps in PI
    Thanks,
    Murali

    Hi Krish - For scenario -1 You have to make use of the OS commands to delete the files on FTP server before placing the request file.
              -> write some script which wil connect to the FTP server and delete the files.
              -> call that script from the file adapter "using execute OS commands" option
    For scenario -2 :
    pick both the files(request and response) and set the processing mode to delete..
    during the receiver determination, process only request files(based on filename/content)

  • Receiver File Adapter - Dynamic FTP Server Address

    Hi,  I would like to pass the FTP Server address to the Receiver File Adapter as an parameter.  Is this possible and if so what Name Space / Parametr Names add to the Product to define these values.
    Thanks
    Andre

    Hi Andre,
    If you have your server as a part of your payload, thendynamic file server generation concept can be done is as follows.
    In your server name field. just give a variable with % symbols. (eg: %file% ).
    Now, under the option Variable Name Substitution, you can give how the value has to be created.
    It can be your interface name, sender service name, etc or it can be some value dynamically from your payload.
    For the former, your give
    message:interface_name ,etc
    and for the payload part you give,
    Payload: "your element root which u wanna acecss"
    Just check this link out,
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/bc/bb79d6061007419a081e58cbeaaf28/content.htm
    And read the contents under variable substitution and it will help you understand the concepts better.
    If you have any clarifications, do get back,

  • Sender File Adapter - remote FTP server program execution

    Hi all,
    I have a scenario
    X12 -> XI -> File
    where sender File adapter is used. The input file is X12 txt document which needs to be converted into X12 xml format. I have created astylus studio XSLT mapping which uses Convertor to convert this txt file to X12 XML.
    I don't know how to configure sender file adpater to run this mapping on the source file before picking it up. have created a windows batch file on the FTP server which runs tis XSLT mapping on the txt file and replaces it with X12 format xml. This batch file uses command line parameters of stylus studio to run XSLT mapping on input txt file and generates an xml.
    I am not sure how to run this mapping on the input file before processing starts in PI file adapater.
    I tried running command line parameters of Sender file adapter but that didn't worked.
    Please help.
    Thanks
    -Kulwant

    Hi, Kulwant:
    Looks like you would like to execute your mapping program before file adapter pick it up.
    Right ? for one interface, it seems out of the XI scope, however if this is your requirement, you can separate into two interfaces:
    The first interface is file to file scenario, it is used to execute your mapping program:
    The file sender just pick up the txt file, send to integration engine.
    Your Message Mapping program need to specify your XSLT mapping, after the mapping, the message is XML format,
    then you will use file receiver to send it to certain directory.
    Now the XML format file is your input of your second interface.
    Regards.

  • FTP Server in server XI or FTP Adapter?

    Hi
    My scenario is File->XI->RFC.
    I want to know your opinion with respect to which of the two options is
    better:
    Option 1: Legacy system leaves the files in server XI. For this a ftp
    server would have to be installed in server XI.
    Option 2: To take the files through File Adapter with transport protocol
    FTP.
    I need to know yours opinion.
    Best regards,
    Sergio.

    Hi,
    <i><<<Option 1: Legacy system leaves the files in server XI. For this a ftp
    server would have to be installed in server XI.</i>
    I think this option will be good because, there is no need of any third party system required here. And one more thing.
    <i><<Option 2: To take the files through File Adapter with transport protocol
    FTP.</i>
    In this case there will be chances of System Failure etc. So it should be tracked. And one more, is Security related issues may come into picture if FTP is running in different machine.

    Moorthy

  • FTP Adapter where FTP server is SSH Tectia Server for IBM z/OS

    We are purchasing "SSH Tectia Server for IBM z/OS" as the secure FTP server.
    1. Has anyone used this with Oracle FTP Adapter to securely FTP files to the mainframe?
    2. What is the best way to maintain the username and password in the oc4j-ra.xml of the FTP adapter?
    3. Can this user and password be encrypted?
    Thanks

    HI,
    Unfortunately there are some concerns with FTPS connectivity with XI.
    As you know SFTP is not yet possible with XI, but somehow you could use FTPS.
    Please confirm below things this may help you
    1. Please make sure to Activate Secure Storage in the File System after Deploying the SAP Java Cryptographic Toolkit. Check below thread for the detail procedure
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/cd/14c93ec2f7df6ae10000000a114084/content.htm
    2. You can go for Third Part adapters such as Seeburger adapter AS2, OFTPS etc. for better connectivity with FTPS

    3. Search the options of your client's software to find where its public and private keys are stored, these are 2 files present on the FTP server, then put the Public key of the XI server on the Client FTP Server and likewise for the Public Key of the FTP Server on the XI Server.
    This enables the SSL handshake, i.e. Exchange of certificates.

  • Regarding receiver FILE adapter,  REMOTE FTP server

    Hi All,
    The scenario was to get XML file from a local FTP server and to place that XML file in REMOTE FTP server, which we dont have any control over that REMOTE FTP,
    While executing the scenario it is successfully picked the file and processed and it was success in SXMB_MONI, but when we see the Communication Chaneel of the receiver adapter it is generating the following error..
    Error when getting an FTP connection from connection pool: com.sap.aii.af.service.util.concurrent.ResourcePoolException: Unable to create new pooled resource: ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect
    Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Error when getting an FTP connection from connection pool: com.sap.aii.af.service.util.concurrent.ResourcePoolException: Unable to create new pooled resource: ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect
    clarifications needed ASAP
    regards,
    Kishore.

    Hi,
    Verify the Host details of the Remote FTP.
    Try to ping the Remote host as below
    Goto > start>Run --->type cmd and give the command as below
    c:\>ping <host details or IP address> press enter and see if you get the successful communication response.
    If its not it indicates that the connection is not setup.
    Ask you FTP administrators to look into connectivity issue for it.

  • Failure to connect to FTP server using FTP Adapter?

    Attempting to setup a SOA 11g composite app to demo the use of a FTP Adapter. Composite used a File Adapter (Read, opaque schema) wired to a mediator which was wired to a FTPAdapter (ASCII-Put, opaque schema). The routing rule in the mediator maps the File-Read opaque schema to the FTP ASCII-Put opaque schema.
    In the document "+User's Guide for Technology Adapters 11g Release 1 (11.1.1)+" I followed the steps in 4.2.21 Securing Enterprise Information System Credentials to set username/password (ftpuser/oracle) for the eis/Ftp/FtpAdapter connection. This is the default JNDI name for the FTP Adapter.
    For the FTP server installed Filezilla server. Configured the home directory to appropriate folder.
    Installed Filezilla client to test the server using ftpuser/oracle - as the created user on the server. No problem here – can see the appropriate folders and ftp files to/from the folders.
    Used a similar composite using a File Adapter-Write (opaque schema) instead of the FTPAdapter (ASCII-Put - opaque schema). This composite works with no issues. FYI – using JDev 11.1.1.1, SOA Suite 11g.
    Was not using VPN.
    When placed the required file in its directory (for the File-Read) it was read but the ASCII-Put file from Filezilla server did not appear.
    Based on error/fault messages seems to be a login issue. However, have no idea as to where the issue as all usernames/passwords are correct. But then - isn't that always the case?
    After having worked on this for a couple of days - need some help - please.

    I've an ftp adapter configured to read from windows server(SOA server running on IBM AIX, filezila on Windows server). I've provided the hostname,username,password, accountname,ftpAbsolutePathBegin as /, port as 21.
    I've set listParserKey to WIN.
    Still FTPAdapter is unable to read from Windows server.
    I'm able to get, delete etc from ftp commands through putty.Port 21 is open.
    Any clue?

  • ESB FTP Adapter Not Archiving to FTP Server

    I have a FTP adapter in which I have pointed a logical archive directory to a directory on the FTP server. However, the file is not getting archived to that folder. If I point the logical directory to a shared folder on the server it archives the file. Can I not archive a file on the FTP server? I have checked permissions on the FTP folder and they are correct.
    Thanks.

    I found the solution to this issue. There is a property named UseRemoteArchive that needs to be set in the WSDL in the <jca:operation> element. See below for details.
    <jca:operation
    FileType="ascii"
    LogicalDirectory="incomingDirectory"
    ActivationSpec="oracle.tip.adapter.ftp.inbound.FTPActivationSpec"
    LogicalArchiveDirectory="archiveDirectory"
    DeleteFile="true"
    IncludeFiles="*\.xml"
    PollingFrequency="100"
    MinimumAge="0"
    OpaqueSchema="false"
    UseRemoteArchive="true" >
    </jca:operation>
