XI Adapter not visible in Comm Channel Monitoring ?
Hi friends ,
I am trying a proxy scenario in Discovery System V3 .But when we create XI receiver adapter we cannot see the status of that channel in communication channel monitoring .
What could be the reason ? Any input will be appreciated
Thanks.,
V.Rangarajan
Hi Vinod ,
We are using SP12 .
And also one more reason that u were unable to see XI adapter is that u might not have activated that adapter in your admin settings.
I saw in JEE Admin . This Adapter is in Running mode . the parameters are
xiadapter.isconfig.username PIAFUSER
1. May i change it to PISUPER and give password ?
2. http://localhost:50080/sap/xi/engine?type=entry as xiadapter.isconfig.url
but in CC monitoring , IE Components Test message tab i can see the url as http://iwdfvm2160.wdf.sap.corp:51080/sap/xi/engine?type=entry
will that port 50080 and 51080 will cause the problem ?
Thanks.,

ABAP Proxy comm channel not seen in Comm Channel monitoring
We have configured JDBC sender to ABAP proxy receiver.
We are unable to see the receiver channel in comm channel monitoring. Is this normal or are we missing something?
Also, the XI adapter cannot be seen in adapter monitoring...I hope thats fine...
We are able to generate the ABAP proxy but we need to see the comm channel to troubleshoot.
Any help will be appreciated.
ThanksHi SAP PI,

Comm channel not available in RWB comm channel monitoring
Hi All,
I've gone through this(Comm channel missing in comm channel monitoring) unanwered forum. I've facing the same issue.
In my ID, I created XI receiver adapter comm. channel. And data is flowing successfully to the receiver side through this Comm. channel
I'm aware that XI adapter in ID is used to send data via Proxy.
But why i'm not see that in the Comm. channel monitoring in RWB. If anyone has documentation please let me know.
Thanks.Hi ,
The XI adapter resides in Integration engine thus you cannot see it in RWB. RWB shows comm channels which are in adapter engine. The simple proof is that you cannot enhance this adapter with your own modules on the Module tab page in the module processor. Here is the link to documentation

JDBC adapter type not visible in Communication Channel
Hi All,
I have deployed JDBC driver according to http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/00b4a020-4ae6-2c10-5a95-fed4ad9a4b60?QuickLink=index&… .
Driver deployed successfully and I have checked it in folder \usr\sap\xxx\DVEBMGS30\j2ee\cluster\bin\ext\com.sap.aii.adapter.lib\lib and it's found ok. But this adapter type not showing in Communication Channel only RFC and SOAP are showing there. I have restarted the server also. Can any one tell me where the problem is?Hi Kuldeep,
Have you check the patch level of both java & abap has same ,if some thing different in Patch level of any of this it will not visible in communication channel

Communication channel not present in Communication channel monitoring
Hi All,
We have the communication channel in Integration builder and it is active state. but we are not able to see it in C.C monitoring. and we are not sure whether the channels are started.
how can we check whether the channels are started?
and why the communication channel is not visible in C.C monitoring.
It works fine in DEV and QA. but we are facing this issue in PRDHi Ravi,
in the cache connectivity test, all the components are in GREEN color (Enterprise Service Repository, Integration directory, Integration server - ABAP, , mapping runtime on central adapter engine, adapter engine, mapping runtime) . Only central adapter engine is in yellow color and the message says:
Apr 19, 2010 6:16:28 AM - Cache notification from Integration Directory received successfully
Attempt to fetch cache data from Integration Directory not yet started or still in process.
Restarting the server also did not work. -
Comm channel missing in comm channel monitoring
Hi,
I have created sender and receiver communication channels of adapter type XI. I am using PI 7.0 version. But I don't see these communication channels in RWB comm channel monitoring.
I was going through the help.sap.com and in
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/5c/22ee41c334c717e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
In this it is mentioned clearly as "The XI adapter as part of the Adapter Engine gets the required....."
if this is part of the adapter engine then it should show the communication channels registered for it.
Moreover if SAP doesn't want to display these XI adapter com channels then why they have XI adapter type in the drop down box to filter the data.
Please provide your guidance in this regard.
thanku
bkHi Bhargvi,
XI adapter is in-built in the integration engine............in RWB in comm channel monitoring, you can view all the comm channels which are at adapter engine...................so this is why you cannot see your XI, IDOC or HTTP adpater in comm channel monitoring because these adapters reside in integration engine directly..................but to tell integration engine regarding the target system you have to configue thier comm channels in ID.

Message processing not visible in RWB Message monitoring
Hi Experts,
There is an issue where messages are visible at ABAP Stack(SXMB_MONI).But same messages are not visible at RWB Message monitoring Integration server(IE and AE) Level.
Previously adapter status for this scenarios was Inactive in integration directory we taught this could be the issue and made adapter status active in Integration Directory. This did not solve the issue.
When payload is taken and processed from test message tab under RWB-Component monitoring-Integration Engine.
Messages are visible in RWB Message monitoring.
Experts could you please help in finding out what could be the issue,Please let me know if any additional information is required,
Thanks in Advacne,
Seshu.KThere is an issue where messages are visible at ABAP Stack(SXMB_MONI).But same messages are not visible at RWB Message monitoring Integration server(IE and AE) Level.
Check if you have chosen the Status filter as ALL and not "Error".
If you are loking for old messages, then you will not be able to see succesful messages beyond a particular period in the past, since all the succesful messages would have been archived.
To see such messages, you have to choose, the option, show message from "Archive" and not "Database". -

Adapter types & comm. channels missing in comm channel monitoring
Hello All,
We recently created a new sandbox XI system from a copy of our XI Test system
system. We used the SAPinst system copy process for ABAP+JAVA to create
this new XI sandbox system. We have followed all of the XI/PI post copy procedures listed in the system copy documentation and almost everything is working except when we going into the runtime workbench for XTX and go into communication channel monitoring for the adapter engine. When we get
here we do not see any adapter types where we should be seeing types such
as JDBC, BD, CIDX, FILE, JMS, etc We also do not see any communication channels in the communication channel monitoring if we select use filter to display all.
Any ideas?
Any help on this would be much appreciated
With regards
StevenHi,
First check in Integration Directory. Just create any dummy Communication Channel, if you are able to select your adapter for your communicatio channel then this is a cache issue. Just refresh the CPACache by this url.
http://<server name>:<HTTP Port>/CPACache/refresh?mode=full
Else you are not able to select any adapter for your communication channel then you have forgot to import the SAP BASIS Software Component Version into Integration Repository.
You can find it from your installation DVD's, and if you are not able to find then you can download it from service market place as given below..
[Click on this URL|https://websmp205.sap-ag.de/~form/handler?_APP=00200682500000001943&_EVENT=SEARCH&HIDE=&SEARCH_SPAT=X&SEARCH_BPAT=X&SEARCH_CD=X&SEARCH_P=X&SEARCH_PV=X&SEARCH_C=X&SEARCH_CV=X&SEARCH_TA=&SEARCH_V=&HIDE_EXPERT_SEARCH=X&SEARCH_MAX_RESULT=20]
In Search Term Enter SAP BASIS 7 or 3.
Now click on XI CONTENT SAP_BASIS 7.00 (if u r using PI else select SAP_BASIS 3.0) -
>
Database independent -
> SAPBASISxxxxx-0888.ZIP (this file should be based on your SP level)
Just save this file on your machine and unzip it.
Now put this in the import directory: \usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\global\xi\repository_server\import\
Now login to Integration Repository and from menu TOOLS ---> Import design objects and import it.

SOAP messages not visible in RWB - Message Monitoring - Adapter Engine
Hi,
following scenario:
ERP is sending IDocs to PI.
Within PI an integration process sends the IDoc data through a SOAP (WS) receiver channel to a system far far away.
In RWB -> Communication Channel Monitoring I can see all delivered messages selecting my SOAP channel.
But:
I can´t see the SOAP messages in RWB -> Message Monitoring -> Messages of Adapter Engine.
In RWB -> Message Monitoring -> Messages of Integration Engine I only see SOAP messages with status "Error".
Successful column is empty.
Do I have to adjust some system / monitoring parameters also seeing SOAP messages in RWB->Message Monitoring?
Thanks in advance,
AndréHi Ravi,
thanks.
But there are thousands of successful messages delivered to the receiver.
These successful messages can only be seen in the Channel Monitoring.
I can´t find these successful messages in Message Monitoring.
Only some with status "Error" are displayed.
Strange...
Cheers,

Custom Adapter - No content in Communication channel Monitoring for JCA
HI,
We have developed a Custom Adapter for our client in XI with name JCA and it is working absolutely fine.
Issue: We are not getting any entries in Communication Channel Monitoring for success or Error Messages.
We have used Audit log for success or Failure entries and they are coming fine in Messaging System but there coule be a standard way to get entries in Channel Monitoring.
Our client needs the entries in CC monitoring instead of Customised Audit Logs.
Please help.
REgards,
Anurag GargHI Satish,
Thanks for answer. I am looking for this in Custom Adpater not in adapter module.
This log creates a trace File . Its not to do with getting messages in CC monitoring as we do get for File Adapter or other Adapters.
Like- Message Successfully put into the queue.
- Successfully processed.
Such Messages are there in sample_ra. jar file code but they are not visible in CC Monitoring.
I think some extra code needs to be added to activate this in Monitoring.
Please suggest.

Hi experts!
I have deployed this files to get MDM PI Adapter:
MDMCONNECTOR08_0-20008055.SCA Connector
MDMJ71008_1-10006189.SCA JAVA API
MDMADAPTER08_0-10005238.SCA PI ADAPTER
My PI version is 7.0 SP19.
My MDM version is 7.1 SP8.
I can't view "MDM PI Adapter" in list of Communication Channels in Integration Directory.
Any idea?Hi,
see sap help: [Installing the MDM PI Adapter |http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwmdm71/helpdata/en/48/970f1155493987e10000000a421937/frameset.htm] and especially the part "[troubleshooting|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwmdm71/helpdata/en/48/9871410e0e0e27e10000000a421937/content.htm]"
And I invite you to check the oss notes on service.sap.com (use terms "MDM PI ADAPTER"), because for instance you will see these ones:

Payload not visible in the XI monitor
In my scenario an xml message was successfully reaching its destination. The XI system was upgraded from support pack 13 to support pack 16. After that the process is still working fine as the XML message is still successfully reaching its destination. The issue we have is that the Payload is not visible in the last two steps of the monitor. We can see the Payload until Technical Routing in the monitor. But Call Adapter and Response steps do not have payload.
(TCode: SXMB_MONI)
when we double click a message we get XML message details and on the left hand side it shows following hierarchy:
XML Message:
Receiver Grouping
- SOAP Header
- SOAP Body
- Payloads
Request Message Mapping
- SOAP Header
- SOAP Body
- Payloads
Technical Routing
- SOAP Header
- SOAP Body
- Payloads
Call Adapter
- SOAP Header
- SOAP Body
<b>(( No Payload displayed, but present above!! ))</b>
Response
- SOAP Header
- SOAP Body
<b>(( No Payload displayed, but present above!! ))</b>
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
FaiqHi faiq
This seems to be the normal behaviour starting with SP13 or 14. There was a discussion about this a while ago and I believe it turned out to be works as designed.
This is what was posted as final conclusion in Re: SXMB_MONI does not show payload after upgrade to SP15:
<i>According to SAP (OSS) this is working as designed. Apparently it was an error in the past that the payload was stored in the DB on the ABAP (IE) side when the AE is involved, as it would then be stored twice at DB level. This explains why this is not a problem when e.g. the IDOC adapter is used.
Anyway, the only way to let the system show the payload in SXI_MONITOR is to set the runtime trace level to 3 (full trace) and parameter logging to 1 (trace switched on).</i>

Loaded File not visible in XI Message Monitoring
Hi,
I have a configured a scenario where a flat file is integrated via XI File Sender Adapter. The file was loaded out of the file directory, but in XI Message Monitoring I can't see the message. In the Adapter Monitoring, the respective Communication Channel is green.
Any idea what this might be?
Thanks in advance.
AlexHi,
In general , we will follow the below steps
--First we we check for the file is picked or no, if not see the Sender side CC parameters like mode and path details
--If file was picked then we need to check whether we are using the File content conversion parameters or not if yes we need to check the FCC parameters ,
-- Goto RWB-Channelmonitoring by the following link
http://host:port/mdt/channelmonitorservlet
select the sender side CC name and check for errors
-- If no errors in above, goto SXMB_MONI for Integration Engine xml processing , check for successful or error occured black or red color
--if success in SXMB_MONI then we need to check in RWB as above channel monitor now select the receiver side CC
-- If no errors then check for output file is placed intarget or not
