XI and RFC - how to configure by using 5000 IDocu00B4s

Gents,
can you help me ?
We´re using the matmas interface to send all material changes/new materials from one system to antoher system.
We made an BPM.
1. receive
2. RFC CAll remote (get some values from an XI Table)
3. Multimapping a) Matmas03 b)RFC Response into MATMAS05
Our mapping and BPM works fine.
But only for a few IDoc´s.
We tested with 5 to 7 IDocs. Sometimes it works but sometimes it craches(RED FLAG) cause of communication error. But we need 1000´s of IDoc´s.
Now we´re trying to change the remote RFC call into a local abap mapping.
Did you know a way (remote or local) to build this interface that we could use more than 5000 IDocs at one time ?
Regards,
Gordon.

Hi Gordon,
It appears that others have faced this problem too, Some of them tried to avoid BPM, because of the performance issues like yours. This was probably before SP13, though.
Check this:
500.000-1000000 IDOCs per day via XI?
However, if you must use BPM, use the multi-mapping feature (n:1 Transformation). You can try the 'Context' features in BPM. There is some useful documentation on SAP help, and also at:
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/8a57d190-0201-0010-9e87-d8f327e1dba7
Hope this helps,
Bhanu

How to configure the use of WS-RM in "PI 7.11 EHP1?
Currently in the editing window of the communication channel (adapter type WS), I can not see any options regarding Reliable Messaging protocol (WS-RM).
The scenario that is required is as follows.
    (Consumer WS-RM) -> (Provider WS-RM PI 7.11 EHP1) -> (ABAP Proxy Backend NW 7.0)
I would greatly appreciate any help,
    Thanks,

WS adapter supports WS Reliable Messaging.  But WS adapter is used to communicate between two SAP web service runtime.
Check this blog and its links for understanding direct connection or point to point communcation using WS adapter
    /people/william.li/blog/2008/02/13/point-to-point-connection-using-abap-in-sap-using-pi-71

  • TtyS4 and ttyS5 how do I activate using 'setserial' or some other way

Is there a 'setserial' expert in the house?
I've got a daughter board/card that has a bunch of I/O on it.  All devices work except the two serial ports.  I have 4 serial ports on the main board plus these two on the daughter board for a total of 6 serial ports.  The 4 ttyS* on the main board work but I can't get /dev/ttyS4 and /dev/ttyS5 to work.  (these serial ports on this exact hardware work on Solaris 10 x86)
Here's what I've tried / found out so far:
Using 8250.nr_uarts=6" parameter to boot options in /boot/grub/grub.conf so once booted there is /dev/ttyS4 and /dev/tty5 (in addition to the standard ones).
Now I want to use "lspci -v" to find UART device info for ttyS4 and ttyS5 so I can use 'setserial' to specify port, interrupt and so on.  This is where I run into trouble.  I see from a block diagram from the manufacturer of the hardware that there are two Exar DUART chips: XR17D152 DUART for ttyS2 and ttyS3, and a XR16L2551 DUART for ttyS4 and ttyS5.  Problem is, when I do a 'lspci -v' only the  XR17D152 DUART for ttyS2 and ttyS3 shows up.  'lspci -v' does not report anything for the XR17D152 DUART, which is for ttyS4 and ttyS5.  I look at a block diagram of the daughter board where the XR17D152 DUART is and see it is NOT on the main bus but under a PLX  PCI9656  I/O accelerator chip.  I do see the info for the PCI9656 chip when I 'lspci -v' but not the DUART that's attached to it.  With nothing to lose,  I tried using the 'lspci' info from the PCI965 I/O accelerator as parameters to setserial for ttyS4 and ttyS5, but of course that didn't get results. Furthermore I see when I 'dmesg | grep tty' that that serials ttyS2 and ttyS3 use MMIO, which I'm not sure that 'setserial' can specify MMIO, only port IO.

#dmesg | grep tty - this output shows that ttyS2 and ttyS3 use MMIO, there is no info for the XR16L2551, because it's not detected.  I need to know how to tell the kernel about it.

    Questions:
    -  XR16L2551 DUART (serial ttyS4 and ttyS5) is not detected by 'lspci -v'  Can I find it some other way?  Does it have a known MMIO? A way to probe for it’s MMIO?
    - Can setserial specify MMIO for ttyS4 and ttyS5 once I find out what it is?
    - Since the XR16L2551 resides under a PLX Technology PCI9656  chip which IS found by 'lspci -v' can I use memory info from it to probe for the  XR16L2551, or can I even use the 'lspci' info from the PLX chip as parameters to 'setserial?
    - How can I get these serials, ttyS4 and ttyS5 to work?

Good point, I do belive what you are referring to is this:
Any client, whether running inside a server or not, has EJB security properties. Table 15-2 lists the EJB client security properties controlled by the ejb_sec.properties file. By default, OC4J searches for this file in the current directory when running as a client, or in ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/home/config when running in the server. You can specify the location of this file explicitly with the system property setting -Dejb_sec_properties_location=pathname.
Table 15-2 EJB Client Security Properties
    Property Meaning
    # oc4j.iiop.keyStoreLoc
The path and name of the keystore. An absolute path is recommended.
    # oc4j.iiop.keyStorePass
    The password for the keystore.
    # oc4j.iiop.trustStoreLoc
The path name and name of the truststore. An absolute path is recommended.
    # oc4j.iiop.trustStorePass
    The password for the truststore.
    # oc4j.iiop.enable.clientauth
Whether the client supports client-side authentication. If this property is set to true, you must specify a keystore location and password.
    # oc4j.iiop.ciphersuites
Which cipher suites are to be enabled. The valid cipher suites are:
    TLS_RSA_WITH_RC4_128_MD5
    SSL_RSA_WITH_RC4_128_MD5
    TLS_DHE_DSS_WITH_3DES_EDE_CBC_SHA
    SSL_DHE_DSS_WITH_3DES_EDE_CBC_SHA
    TLS_RSA_EXPORT_WITH_RC4_40_MD5
    SSL_RSA_EXPORT_WITH_RC4_40_MD5
    TLS_DHE_DSS_EXPORT_WITH_DES40_CBC_SHA
    SSL_DHE_DSS_EXPORT_WITH_DES40_CBC_SHA
    nameservice.useSSL
Whether to use SSL when making the initial connection to the server.
    client.sendpassword
Whether to send user name and password in clear form (unencrypted) in the service context when not using SSL. If this property is set to true, the user name and password are sent only to servers listed in the trustedServer list.
    oc4j.iiop.trustedServers
A list of servers that can be trusted to receive passwords sent in clear form. This has no effect if client.sendpassword is set to false. The list is comma-delimited. Each entry in the list can be an IP address, a host name, a host name pattern (for example, *.example.com), or * (where "*" alone means that all servers are trusted.

  • RFC - How to configure RFC

    Hi all,
I need to configure RFC in my SAP system in order to execute remote functions in a machine that accesses the SAP trough ITS. ie, this machine is not in the same network with the sap server, it passes through a gateway to achieve the server. how does the SAPRFC.INI file looks like? what is the connection string in this case?
    Thank you in advance.
    Kind regards,

  • VBA and RFC - How to deal with tables in export/import parameters

    Hi,
maybe one of you can support me...
I have a couple of vba modules reading and writing data to SAP by means of function modules. As usual, they use export and import parameters as well as tables (in the table section). They work very well.
Now, I want to execute some newer function modules and they don't use tables in the table section (because they're obsolete nowadays), instead they expect the tables as export resp. import parameters. I tried it in a couple of ways, without any success.
Has anybody tried this before? And if so, do you mind share some snippets?
    Best regards, Thomas

    Hello Thomas,
I think we discussed the same problem here, but unfortunately without any result. Please, take a look at this post and let us know.

  • How can I stop using my primary Apple ID (Gmail) but leave my secondary Apple ID (icloud) as primary ond only ONE?

    Good afternoon friends.
Please help me and tell how can I stop using my primary Apple ID (Gmail) but leave my secondary Apple ID (icloud) as primary ond only ONE?
I started using Apple ID in 2011 when iCloud was not exist and was forced to use non-apple e-mail adress as primary ID.
    So I used GMail mailbox.
When iCloud was started I created my account but unfortunatelly can't remove this Gmail address from my Apple ID and replace it with icloud mail address.
I was VERY dissapointed because I don't want to use "outside" mailbox to get letters from Apple and ny ID.
In fact I see the Apple old users and fans discrimination.
When creating new user accounts are free to create a box on the iCloud mail and use it as a primary ID, and the only ONE.
At the same time the old user is obliged to keep third-party mail box like Gmail etc. as the primary and can not get such an opportunity, as a new user
This is extremely inconvenient and a VERY strange logical.
For example, now I want to stop using this mailbox on Gmail but I can not do that because in this case I lose access to my ID, or run the risk that someone in the future will create a box with the same name on Gmail (when name will be free and available) and will automatically get access to my accounts on Apple and to my Apple ID.
Now, to avoid this, your team, I offer the only way out: ID, create anew.
Of course it's possible, but then:
    - I lose all my purchases for 3 years and will be forced to make them again and pay money for the second time for my purchases
    - Lose access to the familiar iCloud e-mail address who now serves as secondary ID because this e-mail address is almost no longer available and will never be released in future.
And now answer me for ONLY TWO questions:
    - WHERE IS LOGIC?
    - WHAT ABOUT TO BE FRIENDLY FOR YOUR USERS AND FANS?
    Thank you!
    Hopefully for your GOOD answers.

You cannot make your @icloud.com address the login address for the ID. However you can change your ID, currently a Gmail one, to any other functioning non-Apple email address. The Gmail address would then no longer access your account, and so even if someone were to obtain posession of it (is that even possible) it wouldn't allow them to get into your account.
If you want to change your ID to another email address please follow the procedure outlined below, particularly noting the first step.
Firstly, if you have 'Find My iPhone/iPad/iMac' enabled on any of your devices, turn it off.
Create a new email address, for example  at Yahoo or Gmail, or anywhere convenient (or you can use an existing address as long as it has never been associated with an Apple ID).
Go to http://appleid.apple.com and click 'Manage your Apple ID'. Sign in with the current ID.
Where it says 'Apple ID and primary email address' and gives your current ID email address, click 'edit'.
Enter your new address and click 'Save changes'.
Now you will need to go to each of your devices and sign out in System Preferences (or Settings)>iCloud - 'Sign out' on a Mac, 'Delete this account' on an iOS device (this will not delete the account from the server).
Then sign back in with your new ID. Your iCloud data will disappear from your devices when you sign out, but reappear when you sign back in.
I re-iterate: before you start, turn off 'Find My Mac' (or whatever) or you will need the services of Support.

  • Difference between BAPI and RFC?

    Difference between BAPI and RFC?
also where to use BAPI and where to use RFC?

    Hi,
BAPI are RFC enabled function modules. the difference between RFc and BAPI are business objects. You create business objects and those are then registered in your BOR (Business Object Repository) which can be accessed outside the SAP system by using some other applications (Non-SAP) such as VB or JAVA. in this case u only specify the business object and its method from external system in BAPI there is no direct system call. while RFC are direct system call Some BAPIs provide basic functions and can be used for most SAP business object types. These BAPIs should be implemented the same for all business object types. Standardized BAPIs are easier to use and prevent users having to deal with a number of different BAPIs. Whenever possible, a standardized BAPI must be used in preference to an individual BAPI.
The following standardized BAPIs are provided:
Reading instances of SAP business objects
GetList ( )  With the BAPI GetList you can select a range of object key values, for example, company codes and material numbers.
The BAPI GetList() is a class method.
GetDetail()  With the BAPI GetDetail() the details of an instance of a business object type are retrieved and returned to the calling program. The instance is identified via its key. The BAPI GetDetail() is an instance method.  BAPIs that can create, change or delete instances of a business object type
The following BAPIs of the same object type have to be programmed so that they can be called several times within one transaction. For example, if, after sales order 1 has been created, a second sales order 2 is created in the same transaction, the second BAPI call must not affect the consistency of the sales order 2. After completing the transaction with a COMMIT WORK, both the orders are saved consistently in the database.
    Create( ) and CreateFromData! ( )
The BAPIs Create() and CreateFromData() create an instance of an SAP business object type, for example, a purchase order. These BAPIs are class methods.
    Change( )
The BAPI Change() changes an existing instance of an SAP business object type, for example, a purchase order. The BAPI Change () is an instance method.
Delete( ) and Undelete( )  The BAPI Delete() deletes an instance of an SAP business object type from the database or sets a deletion flag.
The BAPI Undelete() removes a deletion flag. These BAPIs are instance methods.
Cancel ( )  Unlike the BAPI Delete(), the BAPI Cancel() cancels an instance of a business object type. The instance to be cancelled remains in the database and an additional instance is created and this is the one that is actually canceled. The Cancel() BAPI is an instance method.
Add<subobject> ( ) and Remove<subobject> ( )  The BAPI Add<subobject> adds a subobject to an existing object inst! ance and the BAPI and Remove<subobject> removes a subobject from an object instance. These BAPIs are instance methods.
