Oracle Application DBA certifcation

I am currently studying to become Oracle Application server 10g certified. I have read this book so far: "Oracle Application Server 10g Administration" by John Germany and Burlson. It was a good starting for me - even thou it is a little hard to digest all in just one read. I had to read it twice to get a grip on in. Now that I am much more farmaliar with OAS 10g, I am looking forward to reading "OCA Oracle Application Server 10g Administrator Exam Guide (Exam 1Z0-311)" to complete my reading for the Exam.
On a special note, I am currently OCA & OCP 10g certified, what do I need to do, in addition to what I am already doing to get ready for the Application Server 10g certification?

Thank you for the info. What I gathered from the above link is that since I am an OCP, I don't need the training. All I will need is to become OCA for OAS and I can take my OCP for OAS 10G when I have enough experience to take the exam.For these OAS OCA/OCP Certifications whether or not you are a DBA OCP has no influence.
For OAS OCA there is no required training for that certication.
However to obtain OAS OCP it is a pre-prequisite you has submitted and had verified you have attended one of the applied courses.
Obiovusly the relevant exams must also be passed.

Pursuing a Certifcation in Oracle Financials!!!

I want to seriously pursue Oracle Financials. I stay in Zimbabwe:
1). Is it possible to get certified on a self study program through correspondence without attending classes, seeing that I can not possibly attend classes this side because there are not any that I know of?
2). If its possible, how do I source the study material for the specific path that I have chosen and how long do I have to study and prepare before I write my exams?
3). On selecting the Oracle Financial Path that I want, do I have to stick to the courses that are reflected in that path or I can do a random selection of the courses that I think are relevant to my professional background. For example, looking at this path R12 Oracle Asset Management Fundamentals, do I stick to it, do all the courses specified and get certified in that path or I have to select the courses that I think are relevant for my background and get certified?

For the duration, it depends on how familiar you are with the exam topics.

Just to be clear, the OCM certification is in the DBA certification track, whereas what you just completed with the Advanced PL SQL exam is a developer certification track. There is no developer-level OCM. If you want to become an OCM, you must become an OCP in the DBA track first and then pass the 2-day hands-on course and take two qualifying courses from Oracle. what is the difference between C_TEPD20_04 and C_TEP15_04 certifications. Which one i should be taking?

SAP TechED (Bangalore) offering only C_TEP15_04 for SAP Enterprise portal & KMC. C_TEPD20_04 is not offering by SAP TechED(Bangalore).
C_TEP15_04 includes EP and Knowledge Management Collaboration.

Presently I m working in TCS(2007 Passout). recently I hav undergone ABAP training conducted in TCS by SAP Education Services,and now waitiing for related projects here..But as told by HR currently no requirements for ABAPers..and also they will be providing Course attended certificate but dont know when.
Also
As told by sdn forums there are very less job opportunities for ABAP freshers
also Some people say Certification wil not matters much for getting jobs
My question's are here
1.is it necessary to attend certification exam and how should I plan for completing ABAP certification?
2.How well should i plan for my career?
3.Incase if i get project in someother technology in TCS, how i should come back to SAP?

Hi Shreyansh,
If u r good in ABAP its not necesary to do certification.Certifcation are helpful tp promote you and add an extra edge.
If u plan for abap certification then plz check these links:

And if got shifted in another tech and then want to switch back in EP then u have to consult related ppl there like ur RM or so.

I wants to do certification on 8.8 in SDK (Technical Consultant). I have provided my S-User id by the company. I wants to ask few question regarding this :
1. How can I do certification through online Portal of SAP or I have to go a authorized SAP Center for Test.
2. Should I apply for test through my company or myself goto center and apply? Someone said that through company fees is less.
3. where I can find the model test paper for certifcation?
4. On the portal of SAP I do't find India's trainging Schedule. Where it is avialable?

With your s-user you have i guess access to the channel partner portal.
Here you can find the relevant information:
1) The certification is not online but in a test center.
You can either contact your local SAP office to find out when the tests are scheduled in your local SAP office.
or
You can book your exam online through PearsonVue at www.pearsonvue.com/sap
To current date we only have the English test published at PearsonVue. Other languages are avaiable at the SAP test centers.
2) The prices were negotiated with PV and are the same to the SAP test centers.

Document certification becoming INVALID after Ctrl+F in Acrobat 9. Possible bug?

Am using document certifcation to protect my application Pdfs. Have came across an issue where in the document certification is getting invalid. AM also able to reproduce the error by working with pdfs outside my application. Below are the steps
1. Create a Pdf with 1 text field. Put some default value in the field e.g. Testing
2. Certify the document using File->Save As Certified Document
3. Close and Re-open the document. There is a document message bar on top with text "This document is certified......"
4. Press Ctrl+F and search for the value in the text field (say Test). The searched text is highlighted & selected.
5. Go to Advanced->Sign & Certify->Validate All Signatures.
6. The Certifying signature becomes crossed out and the message bar changes to "Certification is invalid"
Has someone come across this issue or Any idea why this is happening?

Am unable to reproduce with the file attached by you.
I also tested further to analyze that the signature break is happening with all the files only for the 1st time you execute the find function i.e.
1. Perform all the 6 steps as mentioned in my 1st post in this thread dated 6 Dec 2010.
2. Close and Re-open the same pdf.
3. Execute the find function by using Ctrl+F to find any text in the pdf.
4. Validate the signatures, Certifying signature is not lost/broken
Start with a new file again and certifying signature will be broken only after 1st find and not afterwards.
Maybe this'll help in pinpointing the problem.
