XI Export from IR via CMS hangs in IR with waiting for export

Hello XI / CMS Specialists
We want to test the transport of XI Repository Objects via CMS.
We followed the steps in the "HowTo...Transport XI Content via CMS.
The problem is, that we only have one XI-Instance.
So we entered in the XI-Track the same URL for the DEV and the CONS System.
This configuration was accepted with warnings.
It´s just for testing the functionality of the CMS.
The transportlist was generated successfully in the IR. But the export hangs in IR with the status waiting for export. Is there anything else to do? Accordant to the HowToGuide the transport should be listed in the cms in the cons tab. But there is nothing to see.
In the cms log i didn´t find any error messages concerning the transport.
Is this test possible with only 1 XI-Instance?

the situation looks as follows:
For XI there is no further improvement plans on the NWDI(CMS) but there
it remains the 3-System-Landscape Model as before.
But: the transport strategy of XI has been changed, as of 7.00 SP12
you can use CTS (calls Ehanched CTS -- i.e. not NWDI, but the
the ABAP Transport system) to transport non-ABAP objects too. I.e.
you do not even have to use NWDI for XI transport. An other good news isthat as of SP12 using CTS you can define only one DEV System as the
documentation (referred also by you) mentiones.

I want to mention that the only way I can boot a Linux kernel on this machine is adding "no-hlt" option. Additionally the Arch installation image reboots shortly after the boot loader's menu is printed, perhaps due to requesting the "no_hlt" instruction.
So I placed the contents of Arch installation LiveCD on the hard drive and installed GRUB using Knoppix.
The problem is that when Arch installation image boots the system hangs or reboots on this stage: "Waiting for UDev uevents to be prcessed", or here with debug option. Sometimes it hangs 3 lines earlier, but more often it reboots.
So it's hard to recognize the exact reason of the issue.
May be I need to bypass some uevents? Or there are some failsafe boot options of Arch installation image?
What can you recommend?

TS4062 ipad frozen, tried reset from rec. mode, usb cable showing on screen, waiting for ipad, then ipad fails to respond. what can i do?

ipad mini froze when charging, have tried all restore options, when i get to waiting for ipad in itunes when restoring in recovery mode the usb cable disappears from the screen, the apple logo appears then the recovery line beneath logo, then there is no further response from ipad. have been trying to resolve this issue for couple days now very frustrated. can anyone help please?

Use the charger that came with the iPad or a name brand charger of equal or greater capacity. Plug that into a known good wall outlet. Then wait at least an hour. While the iPad is still plugged in to the charger reset your iPad. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart.
If the iPad restarts continue to charge it until the battery is at 100%
If the iPad does not start Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

Capture Process hangs and LOGMINER Stops - "wait for transaction" ???

Any ideas why the LOGMINRER would stop mining the logs at the capture site DB (just hangs 40 short of current archivelog)
Capture Process is a status of Capturing Changes
And the wait event on the Capture Process is "wait for transaction"
How to diagnose whats wrong with Capture Process - been this way for 4 days !

Yes we have had to explicity register archivelogs also.
Unfortunately this archivelog is registered -> so I am not sure. It apapers to have been as a result of a large DML transaction -> and I am not 100% sure the archivelog is posibly corrupt (however I doubt it as in 5 years as DBA I have not once hit a corruption - but always a first).
Any thoughts on how to proceed ?

Following iOS7 update, sync hangs on "Step 6: Waiting for changes to be applied"

Just updated to iOS7. Everything seems be be working fine except for the fact that I can't sync my phone. It stalls on "STEP 6: Waiting for changes to be applied."
Anyone else having this problem?

I'm curious if the folks on this or the other threads dedicated to this problem have pretty substantial (say, over 25 GB) music files.
I ask because the simplest thing seems like it solved it for me. Every sync since downloading ios 7 and itunes 11.1 encountered this problem. I did all the resets of my device and Macbook Air, re-installed itunes, factory reset on my iphone (4s), turned off Genius and Find My Phone, double checked my download file in itunes, deleted all my voice memos, deleted all my media and then re-installed it, basically any of the suggestions I came across on the discussion boards or were recommended during any of my three Apple support chat sessions, it still hung up every time resulting in partial or complete deletion of my music and other media.
Then this evening for the first time I fought the urge to cancel the sync when it seemingly got stuck and I just let it go. Well over an hour later the sync finished seemingly normally and since then it's been fine, syncing just as quickly as it always used to. I've got about 43GB of music that syncs every time, I wonder if there isn't something that the new itunes/ios needs to do to the individual files that just takes awhile. My wife updated to ios 7 on the same day I did and never had this issue, the only noticeable difference between our phones is the size of our respective music libraries.

I'm trying to restore my iphone through itunes and itunes hangs on the screen "waiting for iphone" please help me.

System hangs mounting encrypted lvm, doesn't wait for password

I have a system with two hard drives, each that has a separate encrypted lvm. The drive with my / parition mounts fine, using the grub command line cryptdevice paramater.
But the second encrypted partition on the second hard drive, defined in crypttab, causes the system to hang during boot. I get a message: "a start job is running for cryptography setup" and a little moving asterick while the system waits. At the same time there is a second similar message with moving asterick: "a start job is running for" and the name of the lvm device to be started. And if I define all the volumes on the lvm to be mounted in fstab, I get yet more "a start job is running" messages and hangs for them, all simultaneously.
It seems like the system is not stopping and waiting for the password, before trying to start the lvm and then hanging. I've found that I actually can type in the password while the system is stuck like this (though the screen doesn't really register that I'm typing a password) and then the system will continue and start the lvm and mount volumes properly as defined in fstab.
I don't really know much about how all this stuff works, but gather from reading around that perhaps systemd is not waiting for the password, before tying to automatically start the lvm? And tha'ts causing the hang. (I have LMDE installed with a separate /boot parition on the same number 1 drive and it boots as expected, I'm assuming this is because it's not using systemd.)

But I don't really follow what's being said in that thread or the solution, regard the .service file. Where is is? What would I edit in it? Is that what I want to do?

Well I just figured out that I put the wrong UUID in /etc/fstab. /dev/sdb1 (the disk being unlocked) != /dev/mapper/crypt2 (the unlocked partition). Now everything works as it should.

You need to convert the VOB files in the TS-Folder of the DVD back to DV which iMovie is designed to handle. For that you need mpegStreamclip:

For the benefit of others who may read this thread:
Obviously the foregoing only applies to DVDs you have made yourself, or other home-made DVDs that have been given to you. It will NOT work on copy-protected commercial DVDs, which in any case would be illegal.
If you are running Lion:
From the MPEG Streamclip homepage
The installer of the MPEG-2 Playback Component may refuse to install the component in Lion. Apple states the component is unnecessary in Lion, however MPEG Streamclip still needs it.
To install the component in Lion, please download MPEG Streamclip 1.9.3b7 beta above; inside the disk image you will find the Utility MPEG2 Component Lion: use it to install the MPEG-2 Playback Component in Lion. The original installer's disk image (QuickTimeMPEG2.dmg) is required.
The current versions of MPEG Streamclip cannot take advantage of the built-in MPEG-2 functionality of Lion. For MPEG-2 files you still need to install the QuickTime MPEG-2 Playback Component, which is not preinstalled in Lion. You don't have to install QuickTime 7.

Hi,
Few things to note:
1. Are you using Java Admin launchpad or the .NET one and if its Java then is it deployed on the same machine as this custom java application?
2. Looks like this app is running off JBOSS and JBOSS is unsupported for Enterprise Web application Deployments.
3. You can trace on the CMS and see if its actually getting the request from the application.

ID transports via CMS

Hello,
I have CMS transport question related to ID on XI. The CMS transport environmnet is setup as follows.
DEV -
QA -
PROD
We are using XI 7.0, SP11 and CMS is on SP11
We configured a scenario on Dev environment and transported configuration scenario with all objects. Our basis team released the transport and now it is available on QA environment. When we checked QA enviroment we got transported scenario with all objects. We transfered all objects and tested successfully.
Now we want to release transport to PROD. Our admin assembled package and resleased to PROD environment. When he was assembling package used "Same Support Package number as the last Support Package number" option. This option is supposed to assemble only changed items since last assembly. We do not have option to disable "Assemble all components"(per user guide).
Interstingly When I look in ID, found all objects that have ever been transported including objects released about 6 months back. I do not want to assemble and release transports that were already released 6 months back.

Thank you for the response. After I read VJ response I am not sure if it really addresses our problem.
As you know in the current issue every ID object from QA moved to PRD via CMS transport, I tried to activate only those configuration scenarios and all objects related to scenarios we are interested.
I got following error .
"Unable to move object. Change lists were not part of same import."
I made sure in all communication channels, all required fields have values filled in and saved before activating. I searched SDN for the error message and found couple of responses. They also suggested to fill in all required values in the communication channels.
Any suggestions or comments? I appreciate your help.

Importing SCA Via CMS

Hi,
Quick question regarding importing SCA's into a runtime enviornment via CMS.
Lets assume that ACTIVITY-A was checked in, activited, deployed into development, QA, assebled and now waiting for import into production.
Before i import ACTIVITY-A into production, i checked in and activated ACTIVITY-B. ACTIVITY-B has also been deployed into development, QA, been assembled and now waiting for import in production.
So now i have two changes waiting for import into production i.e. ACTIVITY-A and ACTIVTY-B.
Will importing just ACTIVITY-B be sufficient? I.e. does ACTIVITY-B also contain the changes made for ACTIVITY-A? in that case instead of deploying both into production, i can just deploy ACTIVITY-B, is that correct?

I have another question regarding this.
1. Let say that i push acitivity-1 through CMS all the way into production (dev -> consolidation -> assembly -> test -> approval -> production)
2. i push activity-2 all the way into test and reject from the approval queue
3. i push activity-3 all the way into production
The problem is that acitivity-3 will also contain that changes for activity-2 even though activity-2 was rejected.
Is this a bug in CMS or by design? you are forced to import even the changes you dont want imported.
Im thinking the only resolution to this will be once you reject activity-2 from approval, you push an acitivity which undo's the changes for activity-2 and then you can push acitivity-3. Is the the correct approach or is their any simpler way to handle this?
