XI message with Attachment using Http Adapter
Hi ,
We are using XI/PI 7.0 with Sp09 and Sender Application is SRM and Receiver is Ariba MarketPlace.
We are trying to Send PO with Attachments like Word, PDF etc from SRM to Ariba using Https adapter and from SRM we are using ABAP Proxy. When I did the testing with out any special config, I was able to send the attachments (I can see word doc as part of the payload-attachment) to XI from SRM but this attachment is not going through https adapter from XI to Ariba?
I have read some posts on this but I could not find the answer for my situation. One of the solution is that we can use SOAP adapter but we don't want to use Soap for some reasons.
Please give your thoughts.

That is not true. XI adapter (in fact we do not talk of an adapter) supports attachments.

This is true, ABAP or Java Proxy are like XI adapter. Therefore it supports attachments.

I do not see another solution besides using SOAP adapter in so-called non-SOAP mode. Yes you have to reimport the certificates to J2EE stack.

Hello All,
We have scenario proxy->pi->webservice. In older versions of PI system they used wsrm adapter at receiver side and it's working fine.
Receiver interface is asynchronous. So no response structute is present and receiver service is business component(since receiver is a third party).
During migration, we have replaced the receiver adapter with SOAP adapter and used message protocol as SOAP 1.1 but the message is failing and in communication channel it is showing error "Response message contains an errorXIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 500 Internal Server Error". In this case the receiver interface is stateless xi 3.0 compatible(re using the old), after changing it to just stateless also issue persists.
In target url field if i prefix the url with "http" then above mentioned error is occurring otherwise if i use the hostname:port/path.. then it is giving error
"soap: Call failed: com.sap.aii.af.sdk.xi.srt.BubbleException: Unsupported protocol". So maintaing the url as http://hostname:port/pat.....
As in old channel wsrm channel there is no userid and password, i haven't given any userid/pwd in receiver channel.
used the bean sap.com/com.sap.aii.af.soapadapter/XISOAPAdapterBean with parameters
Module Key = soap
Parameter Name = noSOAPMakeSysErrFromResponseFault
Parameter Value = false
and
xmbws.No SOAPIgnoreStatus = true
but not successful.

The connectivity is working fine. Network team has confirmed it. I doubt that any strucutre(header) difference might be present in message when sending with wsrm adapter compared to sending with soap adapter.
Please let me know the exact difference between soap and wsrm functionality in receiving end.
By considering the structure issue, i have checked the "do not use soap envelope" check box, then i got error "Response message contains an errorXIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 415 Unsupported Media Type"
Then i used message transform bean, but not successful.

Scheduling of message using HTTP Adapter.
Hi All,
The scenario is SAP ECC to SAP PI to SAP MII, and we are using HTTP adapter on the receiver side.
The requirement is that, the messages should be sent to MII in the order in which ECC sends it to PI.
Can anyone please help me on how this can be achieved.

If it is IDOC to HTTP scenario and you use EOIO also you will face a big problem.
It will not work. I have faced the same problem.
Suppose at a same time ECC genaretes 100 IDOC then then in intregration engine it may not reach at same sequecnce as IDOC no.
You can go with IDOC packageing in this case in ECC.
In ECC send the IDOCs as packages.
Also in PI create one Sender IDOC channel with package size.
then before your actual mappinng create a simple mapping program to sort the IDOC based on IDOC number. Then do the actual mapping.
Dont forget to create an Unbounded IDOC structure as source side in Mapping,

Using HTTP adapter with no namespaces
Hi,
Is there anyway to use HTTP adapter when the provider does not accept the namespaces. The HTTP binding wizard requires a targetnamespace to be defined in the request and response xsds that we have to use.

SivaBernd we are trying to do the same thing only with the soap adapter. I'm convinced that no one really knows how to do it. We can't even find an SAP CONSULTANT that has done it .. at any cost!

I think the nightmare is coming in because when SAP bought the j2ee ( application server ) they never really have integrated it so it's very confusing if the settings need to be done on the ABAP side or the J2EE side via visual administrator. In addition most Basis guys are only experienced in the ABAP side and not the J2EE. -
Can I get a response back when I use HTTP adapter

I am doing a integration between SAP and ThirdParty Product using PI 7.1.
The scenario is ThirdParty -> PI -> SAP ,using HTTP adapter between ThirdParty and PI , and IDoc adapter between SAP and PI.
So,its a HTTP sender and IDoc receiver.
So I was just curious to know if the IDoc posting failed in SAP ,can I send a response from SAP to Thirdparty regarding the failure along with some error message.

It may lead to some timeout problems if you design your scenario as synchronous i.e sending response back to HTTP..
as SAP may take time to process idoc and need to provide response back to PI ..by that time the connection may become invalid and thirdparty may receive response as timeout error...
As anyway PI has the option of Alert managements..you can trigger the error mail to the third party recipients for letting them the status...

Integration with Peoplesoft using OA adapter

I am not experiened on integrating/consuming Peoplesoft functionality from external system/application/BPEL/OSB.
What i understood after reading few messages that Peoplesoft Intergration Broker can be used to expose Peoplesoft component interface as services which can be consumed/invoked by any system/application/BPEL/OSB.
But i have requirement from our client that he wants to replace Peoplesoft Intergration Broker with oracle fusion middleware stack. In that context, i think only solution would be using Oracle Application adapter for Peoplesoft to expose Peoplesoft component interface as service, and which can be later consume in OSB/BPEL.

Is it possible to use HTTP adapter?
Hi All,
interface will be trigged by ECC to run once a day. The purpose of this interface is to update ECC exchange rates with the exchange rates file provided by the Central Bank of Brazil.
The file is available in the web site: http://www. XXXX and its name changes depending on the date.
The format is YYYYMMDD.csv. Example: 20100419.csv
The scenario will be Abap proxy <-> PI <-> website (Http / soapu2026 whatever) (Syncronous as the date must be sent to build the correct filename).
My main question is: how can I pick up this csv file from the website? Is it possible to use HTTP adapter?

3rd party to sap using HTTP adapter
Hi Folks,
I'm sending some IDOC to sap from the 3rd party. I have to use HTTP adapter as sender and IDOC as receiver adapter.
Can you please suggest me how to configure teh sender side. As I know there will be no such configuration for the sender adapter as it is HTTP then how the HTTP adapter will get the data sent by the 3rd party and how it will pass it on to the idoc adapter ?

That's exactly what you're going to have and it certainly is
possible. (Replace the JSP with Servlet, Struts Action, JSF or
whatever)
Usually you'll send data back -- output to JSP or write to
HttpServletResponse object -- in XML or JSON format. The data would
be delivered to the result event of the HTTService in Flex. If it
fails for some reason, the fault event of HTTService class would be
invoked.
The important thing to realize about Flex is that it cannot
directly connect to a DB; you need a server side action that would
get data from wherever write it to response. It's more like Ajax
calls to a JSP/Servlet.

Req/Reply message using HTTP adapter
I am using a HTTP Adapter to receive a request message from a client application and sending a response back to the client. The response is being sent by the adapter is XML with a HTML wrapper. However, the client application can't accept HTML; we have to send pure XML.
Is there any easy way to change this in adapter.ini? Can we do something using ReceiverCustomizer? or we have to do something in the TransportServlet?

With the generic SOAP client, it asks for the http based wsdl file location. But my wsdl has been generated by XI and I have the file stored on my desktop.
Something to do with the path http://zpidd01:8030/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=NetworkPartners:NP_Order_BS:NP_SOAP_Sender_CC ??

my scenario is to send a SOAP request with attachment and post the attachment in ECC through the ABAP server proxy.
WebService Client -
SOAP----> XI -
ABAP PROXY CALL ---> ECC
Need further assistance from both of you how to achieve this scenario.
