XI Objects IMport

Hi,
I am trying to import XI Objects into Integration Directory but I am getting the following error.
"Business system AB_ABC_INTEGRATION_SERVER is not assigned to a business system group with the ID (XISystemGroup)"
Note: AB_ABC_INTEGRATION_SERVER is my integration server name.
Please treeat this as urgent.
Thanks
Mohan

Hi,
1. the faster (but not very good scenario)
a) Create an XISystemGroup
b) assing your XI to it
and try your import again
a)go to you XI business system on SLD
then Group: - Edit groups and create XISystemGroup
b) assing your XI business system to the newly careated group
2.but!!!
if you want to export and then import your XI directory (with changed business systems) you have to define transport targets as show in the documentation:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/ef/a21e3e0987760be10000000a114084/content.htm
otherwise you'll have to configure the whole directory rulles once more everytime change the system
(dev - test - prod)

  • CTS+ object-import to repository shows red status

    Hi all,
    we are using CTS+ for our PI systems. We are using NW7.0 SPS15 and used the HOWTO guide for SPS14 to implement CTS+.
    Every thing works fine, beside, that if somebody starts a transport the cache notification for the object-import to the repository always shows an error (integration repository) the integration directory shows no problem. If the cache notification is repeated the error disappears.
    Does anybody have an idea what could be the problem or how to track the error?
    Thanks for your help.
    Christian

    Hi Hemant,
    thank you for your reply.
    My problem is, that note 780747 describes the problem, but does not help...
    It could not be a
    "Temporary connection error" because the error can be reproduced and vanishes when "Repeat cache notification" is used (other user is used).
    It could not be a
    "Errors during the retrieval of cache data" because there is no problem shown in the "Problems" tab.
    It could be a
    "Incorrect configuration" but how do I check this? The rwb shows no problems (other user used than in CTS+) and as mentioned before, there are no problems shown in "Problems" tab.
    I think the problem is, because the user NWDI_CTSADM is missing some permisions to start a cache refresh, but the user owns SAP_XI_CMS_SERV_USER, SAP_XI_DEVELOPER and SAP_XI_CONFIGURATOR as described in "How Tou2026 Configure Enhanced CTS for SAP NetWeaver Exchange Infrastructure 7.0 SPS14".
    So my question is, how do I start a cache notification with a special user?
    How can I check whats the problem?
    Thank you for you help!
    Best regards
    Christian

  • Business Object importer doesn't display objects

    Hi,
    I have done required configuations in R/3 system .If I go to DQE --> metadata improter and select the R/3 system it list all Business Objects.
    But if I go to Business Object importer and select the system it doesn't show any BO.
    Any idea ??
    Regards,
    Abdul Raheem .S

    HI
    DOn't know if it can help you.  From the available business object list, don't attempt to expand your sysmet aliase but only highlight this and execute "Add" that should have been sufficient enough.
    But I find SAP's documentation is really bad in unification part on how to get drag and relate functional.  Really very bad and waste customer's lot of valuable of time to try and test.

  • Problem with a 3D object imported from Photoshop (CS5)

    Hello, I have an interesting problem that I've never encountered.
    I have a PSD file that contains a 3D object I created from AutoCAD. I need to animate the object and add it to a video comp I previously created.
    After importing the PSD into aftereffects and making the rotation and camera adjustments that I needed, I rendered a movie to see if it was correct.
    For some reason the object got washed out or something when animated. As if it had a Screen blend mode attached to it (which it doesn't).
    All blend modes are set to normal and all opacity settings are also at 100%.
    I'm attaching an image of what it looks like in AE and what it looks like in the rendered video.
    Any advice is appreciated!

    Your material settings and lighting are not properly adjusted for raytracing mode - that's what's being used at "Best Settings" in AE as opposed to the hardware accelerated normal view. In particular your specular shading seems to be set to zero, which generally does not work with PS Live 3D due to some bug.

  • Incomplete Directory Objects import

    Hi All,
    We are trying to import a TPZ file (for a whole scenario).Not all objects in the scenarios are changed.Both export and the import of the TPZ files are without any error.
    However,in the target directory under the imported scenario, some (random) objects are missing.
    When the missing objects are seperately put into a TPZ file,the import into the target directory is successfull.
    Does anyone know why this is happenning and how to fix it.
    Regards,
    Bikram

    Hi Paul,
            Plese follow the below steps while transporting objects from IR & ID.
    Before exporting make sure that the objects are activated.
    Perform the following to import/export ID objects.
    1. To export or import directory objects, call the configuration maintenance screen of the Integration Builder.
    2. Call the context menu for an object in a collaboration profile in the Integration Builder navigation tree and choose Export….or choose Tools ® Export Configuration Objects…
    3. Select the Transport Using File System mode and follow the wizard’s instructions. When selecting individual objects, you can use drag and drop to drag the objects from the navigation tree and drop them in the object selection field.
    The Integration Builder saves a binary export file with the suffix tpz in the export directory of the directory server
    Do not change the file name of the export file. If you do, the Integration Builder will not accept it as the appropriate file when you import.
    4. To import the export file(s) to another Integration Directory, first copy or move it to the import directory of the target directory.
    5. Call the configuration maintenance screen of the Integration Builder for the target directory. Choose Tools ® Import Configuration Objects...
    6. Select the export file saved in the import directory by using the dialog box that appears.
    If the import is successful, the export file is moved to the subdirectory /xi/directory_server/importedFiles. The objects are not activated when they are imported into the target directory. They are visible in the change list of the user who imported them.
    7. Check the imported objects in the change list and adjust the configuration data to match your system landscape, if necessary.
    8. Activate the change list that contains the imported objects.

  • PI Design object import fails

    Hi all,
    I have a problem with Designobjects that have been exported from the Development system and need to be imported
    to the test environment. But I get some strange errors like this and it fails via CTS+:
    SQL error occurred on connection devserver:T50:SAPSR3DB: code=-4,228, state="null", message="[jcc][t4][102][10040][3.58.91] Batch failure.  The batch was submitted, but at least one exception occurred on an individual member of the batch.

    SQL statement is "INSERT INTO "XI_DIRCACHERCLVIEW" ("CHANGELIST","TYPE_ID","OBJECT_ID","SW_COMPONENT","SP") VALUES (?,?,?,?,?)".
    I checked google an it says that the DB tries to insert a value with the same unique ID twice. But I don't know what that could be. I have created and deleted some objects in the DEV environment. But shouldn't the PI get what has to be overwritten and what should be deleted? I exported the objects with deleted objects and without. Both does fail.
    Has somebody had a similar problem or knows what that could be?
    Some further errors are specific to some namespace objects (But the objects are in the transport, I exported everything!) :

  • Error: Gaps in Smart Objects imported from Illustrator

    Hi,
    I would like to report an error in Photoshop CS6 (the latest patches have been installed).
    I've only recently purchased CS6 and have never posted in this forum before.
    Apologies in advance if this isn't the correct procedure for reporting errors.
    I'd be grateful if someone knows a workaround as this error makes imported Smart Objects useless in Photoshop CS6.
    Thanks in advance.
    SYMPTOMS: Gaps appear between elements when an Illustrator CS6 file is imported in Photoshop CS6 as a Smart Object.
    Different Image Interpolation settings in Photoshop CS6 were already tested but to no avail.

In fact they report that rows are being added. When I look for the objects in Portal, they do not show up. I looked in the tables and there were no rows added. Any ideas?

  • Error during Directory Objects Import

    Hello,
    I am facing an error while importing Directory objects as
    Import Failed due to Business system Transfer of Objects.
    Obligatory Transport Target Business system not found in Systtem Landscape
    Directory. Please advise what could be the issue.
    Mohit

    Mohit,
    In order to transport objects in the Directory, the SLD has to contain information on transport targets. This information is needed to replace systems in your transport source with their equivalent in the transport target environment. For instance, if your transport comes from development and contains a receveir determination for an IDoc coming from your ERP system called 'DEV', XI will try to replace the system 'DEV' with the equivalent in your acceptance environment ('ACC'). This informantion needs to be entered in the SLD. See [Configuring Groups and Transport Targets|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/ef/a21e3e0987760be10000000a114084/frameset.htm] for more information.
    Kind regards,
    Koen

  • Optimizing Speed for 3d objects imported from Photoshop

    I imagine this must have been covered somewhere, but does anyone have any suggestions for maximizing speed in After Effects with 3d objects created in photoshop. I am working 1080 HDTV timeline, and imported a 3d globe I made with bump, diffuse, and opacity textures and it is bogging down after effects like crazy! Like 2 to 5 minutes to render one frame at draft quality and quarter resolution ram preview with live update turned off.... and way to much of the spinning beach ball....I have an 8 core Mac Pro with 16GB ram! It is even to slow to open the photoshop file.... Also, when I render the image out I get a message in the Ram Preview box saying "Incompatible effect or expression. Multiprocessing is turned off".  Is there something in the Memory Management settings that I should alter. I am running off of a firewire 800 drive...If this is covered in another post somewhere and somebody can point me to it I apologize for the redundency.

    Yep.

    I don't now how much it's going to affect this specific case but, yes, I strongly recommend running everything always on fast local drives. That's pretty high up on my list of things to do to improve performance.

  • Animating 3D objects imported from Photoshop

    I did a video project for a friend a while back in which I used PS to create a 3D object layer, then imported it to PP.  I was somehow able to rotate the object on the x,y, and z axis, and it maintained its extrusion depth and other shape properties.
    The first problem is that I forgot how I did it, and am trying to do the same thing with a new project.  The second problem is that I deleted that old PP file (but kept the final clip), so I can't go back and, in essence, reverse engineer the process.
    I have attached a link showing the old final clip.
    If anyone can help me figure out how to recreate this effect, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Premiere Pro can`t do that. Maybe you can save the logo in a .ai from illustrator, and export it to After Effects. In Ae you can create a new composition, import the file.ai, able the 3D Layer and change renderer from classic 3d to Ray Traced 3D.
    And you will able to add extrusion depth and rotation from z,x and y.

  • PS Smart Object Import Render issues from AI

    I have scoured these forums for a while to find anything regarding these circumstances. I apologize if this has been mentioned before but I'm trying to find some way to mitigate this issue.
    When importing a vector smart object into Photoshop from Illsutrator I end up with text rendering issues. The fonts render as if they were assigned the sharp AA setting, despite having the crisp AA setting on the AI source.
    The pixel previewed AI opened vector smart object looks clean and crisp.
    Any ideas on how to fix the text rendering issues?

  • Smart Object import from Illustrator to Photoshop ( CS5 )

    Hello !
    Here's the thing:
    I have an icon in Illustrator and I'm designing a website in Photoshop so I copy and paste that icon as a Smart Object in Photoshop and everything is perfect but when I resize that Smart Object is not perfect anymore.
    *The document is 200 %
    -The first icon is the original file I import from Illustrator and It's 100%
    -I resize the second icon to 70%
    Now look at those gray light lines around the second icon. Why is that happening ? How can I fix it ?
    Thanks !
    PS: Sorry for my English I just speak a little bit.

    Hi, again, Sunniess.
    Now look at those gray light lines around the second icon. Why is that happening ? How can I fix it ?
    You may be sorry you asked. I didn't have time to bore you with the answer to that earlier.
    The gray lines are being generated in Ps, so this should be of interest to anyone who works with small images in Ps.
    When you export from Illy using the clipboard, Illy rounds to the nearest whole pixel. A rounded rectangle is created in Illy  measuring 73x30 pixels.   If you scale the rectangle 70% in Illy, the new rectangle measures 51.1 x 21 pixels. But it pastes into Ps as 51x21 pixels.
    If you import the 73x30 pixel image into Ps and scale 70% , instead of 51x21 pixels, you will get either 52x21, 53x21, 52x23 or 53x23 pixels, depending on where the Reference point locator (highlighted below) is set in the Transform Toolbar. The gray lines are the extra pixels.
    Why the extra pixels? The extra pixels are a form of dithering. When you scale the  73x30 imported image 70% in Ps,  you get 51.1 x 21 pixels, same as in Illy. But Ps doesn't round to the nearest pixel. It creates fractional pixels. In the screenshot below,  the rectangle is rendered 52x21. The lines at top and bottom are sharp because the pixel height is a whole integer, 21. But the width is 51.1. There's a decimal fraction. The gray vertical bar at right is how Ps represents fractional pixels. The .1 of 51.1. Ps can't actually make .1 of a  pixel black. So instead it makes 1 pixel .1 black by assigning 10% opacity.
    If the Reference point locater is set as below, you get a different result. Now the rectangle renders at 53x23 pixels. You now have gray rows of pixels at top and bottom, as well as both sides. The height is still really 21 pixels, but since it is transforming from the center and it's an odd number, Ps splits a pixel, assigning .5 black pixels at the top, and .5 black pixels at the bottom, which it represents with 2 rows of pixels at 50% opacity. Similar thing with the ends, except they are lower opacity because they represent smaller fractions of a pixel. This pretty much reproduces what your icon looks like.
    Below is a closeup of the above rectangle over a blue background. The  rows of pixels aren't actually gray. They are semi transparent black.
    The point is, how the Reference point locator is set can have unexpected influence on the results, particularly when downsizing small images. And will be most noticable on straight vertical or horizontal edges.
    As if that weren't enough, there are options in your General Preferences that affect the results of resizing images.
    I copied and pasted your icon into Ps, then scaled it 70% at two different settings.
    The top is Bicubic, the botttom is Nearest Neighbor.
    A significant difference. And this interacts with the Transform Locator setting to further confuse the issue. But if you resize in Illy you avoid all this.
    If you resize in Ps, it's good to be aware of this stuff. This all happens in Ps. It really has nothing to do with Illy. If you must scale in Ps and get noticable rows of fractional pixels, it's easy enough to select the rows and just delete them. Or fill them. That's essentially what Illy does when it copies to the clipboard.
    Your English is fine. I hope mine makes as much sense.
    Peace,
    Lee

  • Global objects imported into dynamic libs

    Hi
    This might be more of a linker question.
    I've noticed that when I have things like statics/globals/inlines in a static lib, then they also get imported into dynamic libs that also use them. This causes problems since there's no dependency rule in my makefiles for this (since the dynamic lib does not depend on the static lib source files). Here's a tiny example.
    a.h:
    #include <string>
    class a
    public:
    static std::string s;
    a.cpp:
    #include "a.h"
    std::string a::s = std::string("Hello");
    build "liba.a"
    CC -c -O2 -I. -o a.o a.cpp
    CC -xar -o liba.a a.o
    b.h:
    void foo();
    b.cpp:
    #include "a.h"
    #include <iostream>
    void foo()
    std::cout << " foo() " << a::s << std::endl;
    return;
    build "libb.so":
    CC -c -O2 -KPIC -I. -o b.o b.cpp
    CC -R/usr/lib -G -h libb.so.1 -o libb.so.1.0.0 b.o -L. -la
    Now here comes the problem, libb.so contains a copy of the a::s string
    paulf> nm -C libb.so | grep a::s
    [78] | 69280| 4|OBJT |GLOB |0 |19 |a::s
    Now, if I edit a.cpp and change the string from "Hello" to "Goodbye", then if I run make for liba.a, it gets rebuilt, but if I run make for libb.so, it doesn't (since it doesn't depend on a.cpp).
    But...
    paulf> strings liba.a | grep Good
    ]Goodbye
    and
    strings libb.so
    foo()
    Hello
    Clearly this is not good news. If I link an app with these two libraries, then there are two instances of the same 'a::s', but with different vslues.
    Does anyone have a good explanation for why this happens, and how it can be avoided?
    A+
    Paul

    There are at least three things wrong with this picture.
    1. The shared library libb.so pulls in liba.a, but the objects in liba were not built with PIC code. The libb library will not actually be shared, since it contains non-relocatable code. For a library to be shared, everything in it must be relocatable.
    2. libb.so depends on something not expressed in the dependencies. That seems to be one of your questions. Add liba.a as something libb.so depends on. If liba.a needs to be updated, libb.so will automatically be rebuilt.libb.so: b.cpp liba.a 3. It is seldom a good idea to link a shared library B.so with a static library A.a, if A.a can be independently linked by program parts that use B.so.
    3.1. You can get version skew of A.a if a client of B.so gets Aa from a different source. Bits of A.a of different versions might not mix well.
    3.2. Different parts of A.a can appear in different shared libaries, which can cause havoc at library init and fini time. That is, during shared library C initialization, you might wind up calling something from A that was in shared library B, which is not yet initialized. Initialization of C is interrupted so as to initialize B so that the function in B can be called. You might now be doing initialization out of order.
    If B.so links with library A, and a program that uses B.so also links library A, you should make library A a shared library. You then avoid all the problems listed above.

  • ODI objects import in new Master and Work Repository

    Hi,
    I have created a new master and work repository.
    Now,I need to import rest of the ODI objects which are associated with different Master and Work Repository.
    How do i proceed. I need a proper sequence to import the ODI objects.
    I mean topology,projects,model how to initiate.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    Is it essential to create a new master and work repository and import the master and work repository xml files.
    Or if we just click on import master repository and give the connection details of where we want it will also work without creating it.
    when I click on new in ODI tool, it shows two options create master repository and import master repository.
    In my case which option should I go for?
    I just need to create development env on new server by importing all the required xml files on my local machine.
    Please guide...
    Thanks.
