  • Issue in Payment Terms

    Hi
I have an issue pertaining to FI-AR in Payment Terms. We have a requirement in which we would like to define payment terms based on both document date and posting date. If suppose the billing for invoice has been done on 1.1.2009, and if the payment is recveievd within 4 days of billing, the system should pass automatically a credit memo of 1.25% and should also check that the instrument date should be between 1st and 4th. Similarly, if payment is recieved within 10 days of billing, then system should pass a credit memo of 0.5% and also check that the instrument date should be between 1st and 7th. Similarly, if the payment is recieved between 10th and 15th, system should pass a credit memo for 0.25 % provided that the instrument date should not be more than 12th.
In case, there is a credit balance in customer account (payment recieved in advance), system should pass a discount of 1.25% as a credit memo on the balance or sales order value which ever is lower.
The system should accumulate the discounts passed and pass a single credit memo on a periodic basis. System should not book the cash discounts in the way, it does at the timne of booking incoming payments for customers

  • J1Ih error for return sales

    Dear All,
I have done a return sales and returns delivery. Out of 10 items 5 items got returned. While doing J1IH (adjustment entry) the BED value is automatically getting captured by system for full 10 items. Can anyone pls solve this error?
if iam wrong pls tell me how to do adjustment entry fo rreturn sales.
    Regards,

If it is return , rather than doing reversing the ED paid entry, I think you should claim the Modvat like other Vendor receipt.
This is the process , which most of the clients now follow.
They do not reverse the ED paid entry as it may create a ambiguity if retruns comes after utilization has been done.
Better process is , you should create a J1IEX entry ( without PO) and take the hit into RG23A.
Only thing in J1iex , you have to create a Dummy Vendor. This vendor is just a information.
You can further look into SAP best Practices of India.

  • Set G/L Accounts By: Warehouse o

    Hi,
Can any one please explain me the complete difference between setting G/L Account By Item Group, Item Level and Warehouse? I would be very convinced if the journals are explained and the effects on the G/L Account posting listed discretely. Which is a regular practice in India?
    Regards
    Sudatta Mohanty

    Hi Sudatta Mohanty,
G/L setting by item groups facilitates you to get your accounts hit as per your item grouping. Let suppose you have two item groups, finished goods and raw materials and you set G/L account by Item Group. Now in the inventory account of Finished goods your G/L A/C related to finished goods would be mapped and G/L A/C for raw material in the Raw material's inventory A/C if you maintain G/L inventory value separately. Now whenever you will purchase something in finished goods, your finished goods A/C would be DR and any relevant clearing A/C would be CR with the purchased amount. The simplest G/L determination is by warehouse and then by Item Group. If you have very complex G/L posting requirements then you have to choose G/L setting by Items (which is vevry rarely used, only in mid to large account organizations).
I hope it would help you.

    /Siddiq

  • SOLMAN with India Baseline Best Practice solution

    Hello,
With India Baseline best practice solutin route, you need to go-thru the activation process which creates the configuration objects for the selected scenarios. How can i integrate this process with SOLMAN in place as I understand in SOLMAN base project implementation we need to create a project & do the configuration via SOLMAN for individual nodes.
    Regards,
    Manish.

    Hi,
Our current solution is to have to NICs and have both connect to the server. They then have 2 different IPs and we have the DHCP give out the IP as the gateway. The only problem with that is that we cannot control the automated change of gateway IP if the
    main connection fails.
We are also willing to look into other hardware solutions that could control this.

  • Best practice on how to handle employees who do not have a last name?

We are a Canadian based company with some International employees. We have recently begun to enter the International employees into the HR module. This has led to some problems for employees from India who do not have both a first name and a last name as many of our downstream systems require both names.
I'm wondering what other companies with International employees have done in this circumstance. Can someone recommend a Best Practice?  We want to ensure that whatever we do is not offensive to anyone.
    Thanks.

    Dear,
Indian names vary from region to region. Sometimes Names also influence by religion and caste. Different languages spoken in India in different regions. This variety makes confusing differences in names and their styles.
Now come to the point, since you are international company, while entering the names of your international employees - i would like to suggest to consider the employees names as mentioned in their passport (If they hold valid passport). In case of non availability of passports consider their bank information or any other available information so that they didnt face any further problems like visa, banking transactions etc etc.
    1. Maddepalli Venkata Ramana Rao
In this case Maddepalli will be his surname, Venkata Ramana can be his first name and Rao can be mentioned as Second / last name.
    2. Hardev Singh
In this case you didnt find a surname... Singh will be considered as Surname or his ethinic recognition. In this case you can enter Hardev as First name and Singh as last name.
Make some entry fields are optional depending on the situation. Take help of an Indian origin employees help exists in your office.
    Regards,
    Syed Hussain.

  • Cost of LabVIEW Exam in India and course details.

    Hi
I am planning to take the LabVIEW exam, I want to know the cost of exam.
is LabVIEW Basics I and II manual are sufficient for the preparation of the
exam as we have have them in the LabVIEW Academy.
What is difference between LabVIEW Core I , II (mentioned in the syllabous material of CLAD Exam)  and LabVIEW basics I and Basics II

    Hi illa,
Ray is right, the best way to get pricing and scheduling information is to contact the NI India branch directly.
However, as to your other questions:
LabVIEW Basics is a previous version of the LabVIEW Training Courses. You can check the front of the manuals to see what version of LabVIEW the course materials cover, but I believe it is LabVIEW Version 8.5 or 8.6, which is about 4 versions back.
Because the certification exam tests over the latest version of LabVIEW, 2011 in this case, you will find a few differences- for example, the appearance of variables and boolean constants off the top of my head. You can go online on ni.com and search for "What's new in LabVIEW" and a number of links worth purusing pop up: What's New in LabVIEW 2011? What's New in LabVIEW 2011/features
However, I wouldn't spend too much time on this, as it will probably only impact a few questions.
When we moved from Basics to LabVIEW Core Training, we shuffled topics around for a better user experience. For instance: Event Structures used to be in LabVIEW Intermediate 1, but can now be found in LabVIEW Core 2.  You will therefore what to do a topic comparison, as I describe below.
That being said, the LabVIEW Basics 1&2 manuals will still be a great way to familiarize yourself with the LabVIEW Programming environment. I recommend the following plan to prep for the CLAD:
Read through the LabVIEW Basics 1&2 concepts manual to familiarize yourself with the properties of LabVIEW objects and the proper terminology for things. For example, this will teach you that arrays are indexed from 0 and the red dot that sometimes appears on a terminal when you have a type mismatch is called a "Coercion Dot."
Work through the exercises and practice programming so you get used to the LabVIEW Environment and tools.
When you have completed that course compare the LabVIEW Core 1 and LabVIEW Core 2 Course Outlines, which lists the lesson titles, to the lessons in Basics 1&2. This should give you an idea of any topics you may be missing. A search on ni.com or in the LabVIEW Help should be able to fill in any holes. (event structure)
Finally, review the CLAD Preparation Guide's list of Topics and Subtopics to make sure you are familiar with everything you may be tested on.
After you know the material, this Discussion Forum has other posts on preparing for the exam. You can watch the Preparation webcasts and try the 2 Sample exams to get a feel for the type of questions you will be asked. And there are some helpful blogs we have listed.
