Upgrade from BW 3.5 to BW 7.0 (BI 7.0)
Hi,
Some features of BI 7 are
1. In Infosets now you can include Infocubes as well.
2. The Remodeling transaction helps you add new key figure and characteristics and handles historical data as well without much hassle. This is only for info cube.
3. The BI accelerator (for now only for infocubes) helps in reducing query run time by almost a factor of 10 - 100. This BI accl is a separate box and would cost more. Vendors for these would be HP or IBM.
4. The monitoring has been imprvoed with a new portal based cockpit. Which means you would need to have an EP guy in ur project for implementing the portal !
5. Search functionality hass improved!! You can search any object. Not like 3.5
6. Transformations are in and routines are passe! Yess, you can always revert to the old transactions too.

Overview presentation slides for SAP Netweaver Portal 7.0
Hi,
for a presentation to customers I'am looking for a document ( as ppt or pdf ) or slideshow which gives a good complete overview of all main business and technical aspects of NW Portal plattform on a high level ( Content Integration, SSO, Navigation, Portal Layout, collaboration etc.) including approximately 50 slides.
In the various wiki and article sections I've found only several documents whichs handles special topics like installation or develoment.
If this is not the right forum for this kind of question, please give me a hint where to place this question.
Thanks a lot for your help !
kind regards

I'm not sure if you'll be able to find such a "one-size-fits-all" document. Even if you find one, wouldn't it be copyrighted?

May I suggest you go through these specific documents to research and create your own presentation for your own customers?

SAP CRM overview presentation document
Hi ,
Could any one send me the SAPCRM overview presentation document at sapdotcrmat rediffmaildotcom
Points will be surely rewareded for all replies .

RahulRahul, though Greg was very moderate, I will put it bluntly. If you need a documentation mailed to you, then this is not the place to ask for. Read the Forum [Rules of Engagement|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/wiki?path=/display/home/rulesofEngagement] and act like a professional.
But here is the link for the [CRM documents in SDN|Re: error in b2b shop url.] put by Greg. I am not sure if Google returned this link.

Overview or Internal Training Presentations
I've been looking for BOBJ overview and educational presentations that I can use on my implementation as a SAP customer. I have been all over OSS looking for this info, but can't seem to find anything outside of the typical install guides, etc. Am I just looking in the wrong place or are these just not generally available? does anyone know for sure?
I find it odd that these would not be prominently available for customers, since the teams need materials to sell the concepts and tools to the business users and management.
Can anyone point me in the right direction here? It would be much appreciated!Hello,
I think the standard SAP talks about internal trainings only.
For the internal trainings you can maintain the external trainers.
There is no saperation but provided if all your external trainings are conducted by external trainers then you can have a report for that.
else in training description maintain as external training and get a BW Report using infocubes.

Overview and package frames not present in index.html
I launch the Javadoc tool with:
javadoc -sourcepath ..\src\ -d %DIR_JAVADOCS% -author -package -use -version %SOURCES% -classpath %CP%
(where the %XXX% are environment variables properly set).
The problem is that the packages frame and overview frame doesnt appear in the resultant index.html
Also, in thread
http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jsp?forum=41&thread=72781
Doug Kramer says:
"If you supply package names on the command line, links to their
docs should all appear automatically on the Overview page,
which is named overview-summary.html. The -overview flag
merely allows you to add a description to that page."
So, what I have to do to solve this??This is one of the most commonly-asked questions
I'll bet you are passing in only one package.
Here's the blurb:
The Javadoc tool will generate either two or three HTML frames, as shown in the
figure below. It creates the minimum necessary number of frames by omitting the
list of packages if there is only one package (or no packages). That is, when you
pass a single package name or source files (*.java) belonging to a single package
as arguments into the javadoc command, it will create only one frame (C) in the
left-hand column -- the list of classes. When you pass into javadoc two or more
package names, it creates a third frame (P) listing all packages, as well as an
overview page (Detail).
|C| Detail | |P| Detail |

ADA 508 Compliance Workflow Overview (tab key for navigation / WebAim Toolbar)
Hi,
I've been assigned to update interactive training for a State agency..... with of course, an emphasis on ADA / 508 compliance.
So, before I pinpoint my two questions/scenarios, here is a basic, initial attempt at providing an overview of ADA compliance workflow in Captivate and beyond.
PS - useful Captivate forum urls are at the end of this post. I'm using Captivate v.6
ADA Compliance Workflow Overview:
1. All assets need an alt tag and conceivably a description > highlight the asset, like a pic, and click the Accessibility button under Properties.
2. Create slide notes for each slide > load slide, highlight no assets and click the Accessibility tab under Properties. Copy and paste your notes > for screen readers.
3. Need closed captioning for video/audio content > I use Camtasia for CC and will use the JW player for screen reader of video content.
4. Interactivity needs to be accessible via the tab and enter keys.
What else am I missing?
Question 1
My question targets how to get the enter key to initiate after a successful tab. To be clearer.... I hit tab and I can navigate through all the buttons in the correct order, but hitting enter provides no action. I am gettining the yellow highlights around buttons when I tab through. Everything works very well when using the mouse, but blind users don't use mice.
I did create my own animation buttons in Flash and imported them in as animations. I then placed a Click Box behind the button animation to engage the rollover action. Could this be causing problems? The prebuilt (and clunky looking) buttons on the quizzes do work (ie) tabbing to them and hitting enter provides effective navigation.
I'm opting not to use the playback control skin, only my Flash nav bar.
Question 2 (Scenario 2)
I have downloaded the WebAim Toolbar feature designed for FireFox, used to check ADA compliance issues.
I am getting this error message:
A frame does not have a title attribute or value. Okay... I bet I can fix this via the .html file or via the standard.js file??
and these warnings:
Alert: Javascript in head - A javascript element is present in the page head section.
Alert: Flash - A Flash object is present.
Does anyone know if these alerts are worth fixing?
Obviously Captivate is going to pump out, or rather publish... javascript elements, but is this bad in the page head section?
And..... of course a Flash object is present...Captivate produces Flash / Shockwave files.
I'll obviously ask the programmers at WebAim for guidance as well. As always any help would be appreciated and Tanks in advance.

Thanks, Calif Dreamin'Hi,
Attached is my zipped project file. I did create my own buttons in Flash - this might be the problem. I have only been problem solving with navigation on the first four slides.
To clarify, hitting the Enter key does engage navigation, however I’m having difficulty controlling the navigation so that it goes to the correct location.
I’m using Captivate v.6 / publishing SCORM 1.2 / Using IE to deliver via the SyberWorks LMS.
Here is question 1:

Stock Overview per plant wise/Storage location wise
hi
is there any <b>transaction</b> or <b>report</b> to get Stock overview plantwise/ storagelocationwise ... except MMBE it gives particular material.. i want per particular plant or storage location total materials stock.
I want stock report similar to <b>MMBE</b> it gives available stock per single material in a palnt but my requirement to print available stock per all materials in a given material along with storagelocation wise/batch wise and total quantity.

Message was edited by: Ashok ParupalliThere's quite a lot you can do in Logistics Info Systems to report on stocks across multiple materials.
Other than that, it depends on what you really want to show - stock that's physically present (e.g. including vendor-owned consignment), stock that you own (e.g. including customer consignment or toll manufacturers' stocks); do you want to show quantities (doesn't usually make much sense for more than one material, of course, due to varying units of measure) or values, etc.
Some of these data are quite expensive to read from a runtime perspective, in particular the "special" stocks (e.g. consignment).
You also have to consider that stock you own but that's not physically present on site (e.g. customer consignment), or GR blocked stock, usually is not assigned to a storage location.
If you give me some more info about what you're actually trying to achieve, I may be able to help you better. -
I love using Image Capture, but every time I launch it, it automatically does a previes of my scanner's flatbed. Most of the time, I don't use the flatbed. I use the feeder to scan multiple pages.
My question is this: Is there any way to turn off the automatic preview (overview) that Image Capture executes when it's launched?
Thanks in advance for any and all assistance! Not a direct answer.
From Image Capture Help:
Scan pages with a document-feeding scanner
When you scan a document with a document-feeding scanner, the same settings are used for all the pages in the feeder. If your pages need different settings (for example, some are grayscale and some are color), separate them into different groups.
Before you begin these steps, you need to open your scanner. For instructions, see one of these help topics:
Scan an image
Scan an image with Image Capture
Scan an image with Preview
Place the pages in the scanner’s document feeder.
Turn on the Use Document Feeder option, if it’s present.
Set scanning options. You may need to click Show Details to see all the available options. Here are some of the options you can set. The options available to you depend on the scanner you’re using. Some options aren’t available on all scanners, and some scanners may have more options.
To choose the type of image being scanned, use the Kind pop-up menu.Choose Text for black-and-white images with high contrast, such as text. Choose Black & White for grayscale images. Choose Color for color images.
To scan both sides of a page, select Duplex.
To choose a size for the scanned image, use the Size pop-up menu.
To choose where to save the scanned images, use the Scan To pop-up menu.If you choose a folder, the images are stored in that folder. If you choose an app, the images are opened with that app.
To adjust the colors or exposure of the scanned image, choose Manual from the Image Correction pop-up menu, and adjust the controls. If you don’t see the image correction controls, scroll down or make the Scanner window taller.
Click Scan. The scanner scans the pages one by one.
