Xi runing out of memory during Mapping runtime..
Hi I have a a scenario where the a certian field in the source can result in multiple line items in the target... I saw that when the the line items increases to over 50,000 lines in the target I get thsi mapping exception -
During the application mapping com/sap/xi/tf/_MM_Map1_2_ a com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException was thrown: RuntimeException in Message-Mapping transformatio~
When I reduce the number of potential line items that can be generated then the mapping runs fine... this mapping has a lot of queue java functions. This leads me to believe that that the issue is related to a memory issue...
How can i overcome this? Are there parameters that can be set to provide more system resources during mapping runtime.
Hi Aravind,
your input file is too large thats why you are getting that error.
Asks your BASIS team to increase the java heap memory.

Out of memory error - JS Runtime: How many users can one connect?
Not talking video here. Talking interactive apps, like chat. Ours crashes at about 500 connected users. When I report this I'm told "make sure you're not creating too many objects serverside" or "increase the JSRuntimeSize setting in your application.xml file to the max".
Have now done both of those things but still get this out of memory error. Let's say I optomized my app and got 100% more connection capacity. That would be 1,000 connected users - still nowhere near enough.
Are my dreams of 6,000 or 10,000 connected users enjoying all of the fruits of the FMS interactivity pipe dreams? Is it not meant for sessions of that size? Where does one find documentation or advice or application assistance on this issue?
How do large social media applications connect so many people concurrently.
Thoughts appreciated.
ThanksYes. I'm using the max.
<RuntimeSize>51200</RuntimeSize>

Don't think 100MB or 200MB would be valid settings. -
OUT OF MEMORY - during loading images (JPEG's)
Hallo,
We use the OHJ (version 4.1.12) inside a Java/Swing application with JDK 1.3.1.
Our online help contains a lot of larger JPEG images. When the user navigates through the online help - an out of memory occurs while loading the images.
I tried to split the help pages in a lot of small HTML pages, but this doesn't help. It seems that the OHJ does not clear the memory
when loading the next HTML page.
Can the OHJ deal with larger images ?
Any other possibilities ?
Thanks

We have never seen such a problem with large images and OHJ. Could you send us a ZIP containing your help content by e-mail to [email protected] so that we can try to reproduce it?

Error: out of memory during render
Hi,
I am attempting to write a non-self contained quicktime movie from a sequence in FCP 6.03. The sequence was originally edited in AIC 720p, then onlined to 8 bit uncompressed via the .m2v files.
When rendering I receive an "error: out of memory" message.
I am wondering what might have caused this, as I have not experienced it before. I have done a search within mac forums, but none of the threads I found seemed to address my specific issue.
Any thoughts??
Thanks,
-TomOnlined to 8 bit uncompressed SD? or HD?
You likely have a corrupted media file involved. It's usually the same percentage in from the head of the sequence, as the failure is reported... i.e, the failure is reported after 50% complete? then look half way into your sequence, and re create or re capture that area of the sequence.

I am running a initial recon on a DB (oracle 10g) which has over 150000 users, the server is going out of memory, so how do I solve this problem?
ThanksHi ,
Running job in batch is really good idea ,but you need to evaluate if your resource/connector allow any kind of filter and if not then customization you want to do.
If you have large memory and can;t use above option then you should use below option.(btw specifying 1gb of memory is not sufficient seeing no. of records.As one recon event invokes a series of calls ,your memory grow and gc will try to collect memory based on your algorithm ,but as you reach a point <1.2 gb> JVM fails ).
You can check when your recon failed for memory usage and set your initial size to some higher value i.e. 1.5x and max to 2.1x.

This is a Leopard Macbook sharing it's Airport connection to a G5 desktop plugged in via ethernet running 10.4.10. This arrangement worked just fine before upgrading the laptop to Leopard. All updates have been run on both systems. Needless to say, the desktop is unable to connect. No errors on the 10.4.10 side.Still happens after upgrading the desktop to Leopard.

I'm runing out of memory or this is java
I was trying to find the effects on memory using a method in the library Runtime under Java.lang.*;
import java.util.*;
import java.io.*;
import java.lang.*;
public class Last {
public static void main(String args[]) {
Runtime rt = Runtime.getRuntime();
String[] testvar = new String[12000];
long isfree = rt.freeMemory();
System.out.println("AT the Beginning " + isfree);
for(int i=0;i<10000;i++)
testvar[i] = new String("HELLO WORLD");
isfree = rt.freeMemory();
System.out.println("After the first assignment " + isfree);
for(int i=0;i<10000;i++)
testvar[i] = null;
isfree = rt.freeMemory();
System.out.println("After THE SECOND ASSIN NULL " + isfree);
System.gc();
isfree = rt.freeMemory();
System.out.println("Garbage collector" + isfree);
If you go carefully through the program you will notice that i'm defining an array of strings where i put the name Hello world. After that, i switch Hello world to NULL. here, i found the memory consumed at this stage is higher than if it is consumed directly throught defining the array of string with only names.
Please help me what is the problem.Note the incorrect use of code tags.

System out of memory during deployment
Hello everybody,
I have a J2EE project and a respective EAR-project to deploy my application on the WebAS 6.40 (SP13).
Since yesterday I have the problem that when I add a new entity bean to my J2EE project I got the following error during deployment.
If I remove the entity bean there is no problem to deploy the project.
I tried a lot of things, e.g. changing the heap size of the developing workspace or of the sdm, but no results. Has someone an idea?
Is there probably a limit for beans in a J2EE project?

C-runtime error occured "Out of Memory"
Cannot display the selected records when an end user clicks the (>*) button next to the record count. Instead of displaying all the records based on the prompted selection criteria, the record count (28,338) is shown by itself without the data after a few minutes of waiting. Above the record count and selected prompts, "!error: A C-runtime error occurred (Out of Memory)" is shown twice. No data.
So long as the end user does not click the (>*) button next to the record count, everything works okay. End user can download the entire set of selected records to a tab-delimited .csv file without any problem. End user can also scroll thru the 28,338 records, one page at a time. Using more restrictive selection criteria, I can view several thousand records at a time. No problem until the (>*) button is clicked when 28,338 records are requested.
We recently doubled the memory on our desktops from 1GB to 2GB. No help attempting to display all records.
Problem reproduced at will in both OBIEE 10.1.3.3.2 and 10.1.3.4.1 environments using either IE 8.0 or Firefox 3.6 on Windows XP Pro.
How can we reconfigure our environment to display the 28,338 records on a desktop without running Windows XP out of memory?The C:\OracleBIData\tmp directory on the desktop appears empty before, during and after the query.
In addition in Windows Task Manager, the Networking tab for the Local Area Connection shows a steady, but less than 0.5%, activity stream for the duration. CPU use and paging is also minimal.

ERROR [B3108]: Unrecoverable out of memory error during a cluster operation
We are using Sun Java(tm) System Message Queue Version: 3.5 SP1 (Build 48-G). We are using two JMS servers as a cluster.
But we frequently getting the out of memory issue during the cluster operation.
Messages also got queued up in the Topics. Eventhough listeners have the capability to reconnect with the Server after the broker restarting, usually we are restarting consumer instances to get work this.
Here is detailed log :
Jan 5 13:45:40 polar1-18.eastern.com imqbrokerd_cns-jms-18[8980]: [ID 478930 daemon.error] ERROR [B3108]: Unrecoverable out of memory error during a cluster operation. Shutting down the broker.
Jan 5 13:45:57 polar1-18.eastern18.chntva1-dc1.cscehub.com imqbrokerd: [ID 702911 daemon.notice] Message Queue broker terminated abnormally -- restarting.
Expecting your attention on this.
ThanksHi,
If you do not use any special cmdline options, how do you configure your servers/
brokers to 1 Gb or 2 Gb JVM heap ?
Regarding your question on why the consumers appear to be connecting to just
one of the brokers -
How are the connection factories that the consumers use configured ?
Is the connection factory configured using the imqAddressList and
imqAddressListBehavior attributes ? Documentation for this is at:
http://docs.sun.com/source/819-2571/ref_adminobj_props.html#wp62463
imqAddressList should contain a list of brokers (i.e. 2 for you) in the cluster
e.g.
mq://server1:7676/jms,mq://server2:7676/jms
imqAddressListBehavior defines how the 2 brokers in the above list are picked.
The default is in the order of the list - so mq://server1:7676/jms will always be
picked by default. If you want random behavior (which will hopefully even out the
load), set imqAddressListBehavior to RANDOM.

Encore CS3 - Out of Memory & C++ Runtime Error
I'm running Encore CS3 and I encounter several problems with a recent project that have made Encore practically useless.
When I try to preview the project, play a timeline or preview a menu I get this error. Out of Memory - Please Save and exit immediately to avoid data loss. I also get the c++ runtime error sometimes while trying the same actions.
I've also had Encore hang while trying to import .m2v files, although this appears to happen randomly. Clearing the media cache seams to fix it, sometimes.
All video was compressed with Cinemacraft Encoder 2.70.02.12 and all audio was normalized with Adobe Audition CS3.
I've read through the forms and tried deleting the media cache in the registry and re-installed Encore once. Nothing appears to work, I'm about ready to ditch Encore and go with another authoring program.
Please help.
My Specs
Windows XP X64 (Current Updates)
Dual Opteron 275
Tyan Thunder K8SE
4 GB ECC/Reg RAM (Corsair DDR400)
1x 74 GB Raptor for OS
1x 74 GB Raptor for Cache/Temp
2x 500 GB For project/storage
Quadro FX 3400
Sound Blaster Audigy
Pioneer 112D
Sony CRX320EWhy would XP64 be the problem if its worked fine for over 30 projects?
I also tried loading the project on one of our 32bit XP workstations with Encore CS3 and had all the same problems.
At this point the problem appears to be a bug with Encore, because after starting over from scratch I got the project to work fine.
It also appears that if you copy/paste anything it will corrupt your project somehow.
So, the bottom line its this, XP64 is not the problem. -
Possible "Out of memory" error during XSLT ?
Hi ,
I am working on 11gR1.
In my project I am reading a file in batches of ten thousand messages.
The file is getting read and archived and I can see expected number of instances getting created in the console.
But nothing useful is visible inside the instance as the link for BPEL process is not appearing.
(I have kept audit level as production but even in this case, atleast link should appear)
When I checked the logs , it indicated that transaction was rolled back due to out of memory error.
Just before this error, there is a reference to the xsl file which I am using :

Hello,
I'm new to Java, this is only my third time using the language, and first time writing an applet. What I'm trying to do is create an applet that will plot 2D a set of coordinates based on an input string. Inexplicably, the VM gives an "<<Out of Memory>>" error while running. I urgently need a solution to this problem (as in, in the next two days... by August 9th, 2001). Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Problem with out of memory and reservation of memory
Hi,
we are running a very simple java program on HP-UX that do some text substitution - replacing special characters with other characters.
The files that are converted are sometimes very large, and now we have come to a point where the java server doing the work crashes with "Out of memory" message. (no stack) when it process one single 500MB large file.
I have encountered this error before(with smaller files) and then I have made the maximum Heap larger, but now when I try to set it to 4000M
i get the message:
"Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for old generation heap"
When it crash with this message, my settings are:
-XX:NewSize=500m -XX:MaxNewSize=1000m -XX:SurvivorRatio=
8 -Xms1000m -Xmx4000m
If I run with Xmx3000m instead the java program starts but I get Out of memory error like:

We are running:
java version "1.3.1.02"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.3.1.02-011206-02:17)
Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (build 1.3.1 1.3.1.02-JPSE_1.3.1.02_20011206 PA2.0, mixed mode)
We have 132GB of physical memory and a lot of not used Swap space, so I cant imagine we have a problem with that.
Can anyone please suggest what to do proceed troubleshooting or to change some settings? I'm not into this Java really so I really need some help.
Usually the java program handles thousands of smaller files (around 500 KB - 1 MB sized files).
Thanks!You have a one to one mapping? Where one character is replaced with another?
And all you do is read the file, replace and then write?
Then there is no reason to have the entire file in memory.
Other than that you need to determine if the VM (which is not a Sun VM) has an upper memory bound. That would be the limit that the VM will not go beyond regardless of memory in the system.
We have 132GB of physical memory and a lot of not used Swap spaceOne would wonder why you have swap space at all.

Previews questions from link - "preview folder so big, even after purging the 1:1"
Can someone clear this up a bit? My LR 2.1 preview folder is at 12gb, and I want to get that under control. After reading all of the threads here about previews it seems one of the best choices is just delete the folder and then let LR 2.1 rebuild it
