a) check out note: 824554 and try to change it in the instance profile
b) TCODE SXMB_ADM -> Configure Integration server -> change specific identifiers
Set Runtime parameter: HTTP_TIMEOUT
Rember to restart XI after the change

You need to register the Queues
TCODE SXMB_ADM -> Manage Queues -> Register the Queues.

a) check if you have all entries green in TCODE - SWF_XI_CUSTOMIZING
b) you may try to repeat the activation of the integration process in TCODE - SXI_CACHE.

11. Unable to check flight availability - status code 500 error
Check if all clients except Integration server are set as application servers:
a) TCODE - SXMB_ADM
b) Integration Server configuration
c) set the "Role of Business System" as LOC "Application system"

The message namespace has a default value taken from the Software Component Version namespace.
If you want to delete it:
a) go to the Message type that you're using in your scenario
b) remove XML namespace

Transfer ownership data from one scenario to another in HFM
I'm developing HFM Rules for a company that needs to transfer data from one scenario to another. This is so that they can perform What-if analysis on the other scenario. I can transfer the data correctly using the following code:

If I extend this code to check *HS.Value.Member = "[None]"* and run a calculate on the *[None]* Value Layer, this also copies ownership methods and percentages for the relevant entity. Unfortunately, going to each parent entity and running a calculate for each month is not going to be practical since there are more than 500 entities in this group.
What I want to do is to actually copy ownership methods and percentages automatically if I run a consol. Is there a way to do either of the following:
1. Set a value for a POV that is in a different value layer?
2. Trigger a calculate for a different value layer in the rules?Try posting this to the HFM forum

List View Threshold and using OR in list view
I've read the white papers, searched the blogs, but I don't quite understand why I am getting the 'only showing latest results...' yellow bar due to list threhshold with following scenario:
List has 9000 items (so above threshold).
ALL 4 columns below are indexed!
I have a view called 'My Items' such that:
Show all items when
UserColumn1 = [Me] OR
UserColumn2 = [Me] OR
UserColumn3 = [Me] OR
UserColumn4 = [Me]
All of the 4 user columns are indexed, but I'm thinking that since I have OR's in they query vs ANDs that it is causing the view to trip up and display the 'only giving you recent...' yellow filter bar.
Any thoughts?
Am i correct in my thinking that because of the OR's, SharePoint has to go back to the database and pull data 4 times.
There are only 20 items where UserColumn1 is me, 10 where UserColumn2 is me, and 3 where UserColumn3 is me and only 1 item where UserColumn4 is me, so there are only total of 34 items, so I know its not because the first indexed column is returning more
than 5000 items.
Any advice/links to using 'OR' in view is much appreciated, I couldn't find anything.
HerschelThe problem is the "or" and the list view threshold. When using an OR the query has to retrieve ALL the items to make sure it gets all the Or clauses. Once it has all the items then it filters based on the "or". If you
use an"and" you can be sure that all the results will be represented by the result set that is derived from the first column. So the query can be limited to that and then trimmed of additional results after retrieval. When using Ors there
is no way to limit the query Set. What you want it to do is limit the results to 4 query sets that it then combines. It doesn't work that way. When using 'or' you will always try to retrieve ALL the results whether the columns are indexed
or not.

Do we have anyone here who has done Business Process Validation in SAP SD and also assisted SQA team to assist them in validating process design documents.
The objective is to verify that requirements no matter functional or technical are completely covered and the process document supports complete solution and validate that process document supports software test plan.

business scenarios (including key things to be touched - like business areas, company codes, doc types, interfaces, etc. Then build test cases using elements from the list -- pulling in multiple items from the list where it make sense). Not every test would necessarily include all the same elements. Each test case would be assigned a number or code -- and that wold be tracked on the basic business scenario list. Also found it valuable to include business users in development of theese test docs wherever possible.
Apart from that, the testing are at different level, such as Unit Testing - which will test only the functionality of particular process say creating PO. All errors may not come into knowledge at this point. Integration testing - which will test the entire process along with inegration within SAP and with interfaces. Here there are chances that additional problem area are identified and required to be fixed.
The process followed by me for testing Business Scenario for Order to Cash Cycle is demonstrated below"
Initial Testing will be as under:
1. Create Stock artificially (in test server / sand box only)
2. Create Sales Order
--> Here the common expected error would be as under:
a. Sales Order Type not assigned to Sales area
b. Pricing Procedure assignment not done.
c. Pricing Condition record not maintained
d. Material not maintained or extended to relevant combination
On successful creation of Sales Order, next step would be to create Delivery.
3. Create Delivery and PGI
I will test this scenario in multiple manner
a. Create Delivery from Sales Order
b. Create Delivery through Transaction Code VL01N
c. Create Delivery through Transaction Code VL10C
--> Here the common expected error is copy control setting not maintained, defalult Delivery type not maintained accurately in sales Order Type, etc.
On successful creation creation of Delivery, assuing Picking is done appropriately, doing PGI.
Here the challenge is the Account determination setting reguires to be completed, without which in most cases, it will not allow to do PGI.
4. Create Billing
I will test this scenario in multiple manner
a. Create Billing through VF01
b. Create Billing through Transaction Code VF04
Here the challenge is the Account determination may not be complete and Billing Document is saved without creating accounting document.
In Integration Testing:
1. Assure that material stock is availble in unrestricted stock through MM/PP.
2. Creating Sales Order smoothly
3. Creating Delivery, picking and PGI smmothly.
4. Create Billing smoothly with creation of accurate accounting document
Troubleshooting the errors encountered.
Here the objective is that the process should execute seamlessly.
similar exercise is done for other processes like Stock Transfer, Third Party & so on........

Copy item from List A to List B, generate 2 rows in List B
Hi,
I would like to copy and update items from List A to List B. However, I want the item to be duplicated in List B.
I will explain my scenario
- List A contains a People Picker column of multiple selection and a Title column
- When the form is submitted, a workflow should trigger to copy the item to List B. If the People Picker column contains 2 values inside it, for example, user1;user2. The copied item should be duplicated in rows according to the number of users.
Example
Columns Title, Users, ID
List A - TicketNo1, User1; User2, 1
List B - TicketNo1, User1 1
List B - TicketNo1, User2 1

Pricelist allows you to create a list of prices valid at a certain date for a certain list of products and group of business partners.
You can use price lists to make your current prices available in list form at any time. You can create price lists individually for customers or customer groups and certain products. Viz. The furniture company Holz & Leim publishes a catalog in color every year without details of prices. They provide a different price list with the catalog for each customer group. Price list A for major customers contains quantity discounts and no value-added tax, price list B for end customers contains prices with tax.
T codes :
Pricing Report - V/LD
Create Net Price List - V_NL
Other than "VK13", to display the price, you can use V/LD - Execute Pricing Report to check the prices entered into the Pricing Master.
Normally Pricing Report - "07 Cust.-specific Prices with Scale Display" will do.

Flash 8 Crash on Mac OS 10.4.8
I have seen lots of topics about Flash 8 crashing on Macs,
but I haven't seen this scenario listed yet, or any conclusions for
that matter. Has anyone had a problem with Flash 8 freezing up when
you try to modify the document settings? It's frustrating that
Flash is the only program in Studio 8 I can't use. I've tried
deleting my preferences and reinstalling numerous times...even
getting the install file from different sources...but to no avail.
I'm starting to worry it's just not compatible with my computer :-(

Xcelsius 2008 FP2 won't export to swf
Hello,
I can not get Xcelsius to preview or export to swf. The progress bar labelled "Generating swft" displays for approximately 3-5 minutes until Xcelsius.exe finally crashes and the app closes. I'm running Xcelsius 2008 SP1 with FP2, Live Office XI R2 and Flash 10 (lastest version). I've also looked at the Flash security as described in other forum posts and that does not appear to be the issue.
The .xlf I'm working with was successfully completed and published to Crystalreports.com and is working fine. The problems began when two additional Live Office connections were added to allow for some additional data points in the next release of the dashboard. The data model now contains a few hundred more rows and a few hundred forumlas causing the Excel file to increase to just under 1MB. The total number of rows of data return in all Live Office connections combine are just over 1,000 rows. The max # rows setting in Xcelsius is set to 2,000. The formula cells added to the data model are fairly simple formulas that were successfully used in the data model previously (ISERROR, INDEX, MATCH).
On occasion, Xcelsius will give the message box "Your range has been reduced to the maximum rows allowed" before crashing.
Acting on this message I have removed the new Live Office connections, but the message/crashing continues. I have now scaled back the # of Live Office connections and # of formula cells way back to a very small number. the data model is now very small and quickly imports into Xcelsius yet the same message/crashing continues. I have verified that the data model currently in Xcelsius is the most recent, very small version of the data model, but Xcelsius still behaves like the large 1MB data model is present.
I don't know if this is even a # rows/data model size issue or a config/bug issue. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
I've read the PDF on FP3, but don't see this scenario listed. Might FP3 help? I need to be FP3 is compatible with publishing swf files to Crystalreports.com which is a BOE XI R2 platform.thanks for the quick advice. so we can scale back the data to within 512 rows by splitting this into 2 dashboards. Not ideal, but shouldl be acceptable.
The data is already pre-aggregated. The data sources for this data model are crystal reports that are published in Crystalreports.com and refreshed nightly against a 3rd party API. Virtually all of the formulas required in Excel are used to line up rows of data that are being pulled in from 2 seperate live office queries. All of the required data points could not be included in a single crystal report so 2 are needed and the rows matched up in Excel using an INDEX(MATCH) formula. We are not using any unsupported functions or VLOOKUP per the advice of an Xcelsius best practice document I located in this forum. I'm open to any suggestions on better techniques to align related rows of data from two seperate ranges in Excel so they essentially appear as though they came from a single data source.
I am starting to lean toward the # of formulas in the data model as being the issue and have added fitlers to the live office query to cut the # of rows to only 20% of what was originally being retrieved. The # of formulas were also reduced by the same percentage. However, when trying to preview or export to swf, Xcelsius still gives the same message that the range was reduced to the max allowed and then crashes. It's as if Xcelsius is still seeing the old data model. Perhaps something is being cached that isn't clearing out? Even a full remove and re-install of Xcelsius SP1, Live Office and FP2 has had no affect. Maybe we need to build a new .xlf from scratch?

Substitution variable for multiple months
Ideally, i would like to have a calc script with a substitution variable FIX(&Month) which points to specified months. I have tried setting the value for my substitution variable in different ways
1.
Variable = Month
Value = "January""February"
2.
Variable = Month
Value = "January","February"
However, the script seems to be failing to pick up the second month as it returns no values for February. If i specify the months in the calc script, it works just fine. This suggests to me i'm getting the syntax wrong for the substitution variable.
Any ideas?There is nothing strange it can behave. It will work.
I am using this in production for years to genarate comma seperated scenario list with out any issues.
What a substitution variable will do?
It will store a string as a value for the variable and resolve at the time of calc. if the value is a valid member set it will work.
I believe issue is not because of that.
However, the script seems to be failing to pick up the second month as it returns no values for FebruaryIs it throwing any error in syntax check or in executing. Answer is No from the above statement. But you are not seeing the expected results in the calc.
first check the application log whether the calc is happening for both jan and feb.
Then why the calc is not as of expected for feb. -
OD / AD / Magic Triangle configuration in Snow Leopard Server
Hi:
I'm working on training / setting up a magic triangle. I've been able to perform the necessary binding of my 10.6.4 Server to the AD, Set up OD as an OD Master connected to AD and finally, binding a client 10.6.4 Mac to both AD and OD. FYI - I'm using the Apple Training Series: Macs OS X Directory Services v10.6 as my guide.
I'm running into issues which are based upon how I connect / authenticate. I tried the 4 scenarios listed below with different results. The first scenario is the way to view/administer the directories according to the training guide. I tried the other 3 scenarios just to see what might happen:
1 - local mac - run WGM and View Directories: Result: Can authenticate to AD directories, but can't authenticate to the OD directory on the OS X server.
2 - local mac - run WGM and Authenticate to OS X Server: Result: Can authenticate to OD directory on the Server, but cannot authenticate to AD directories as AD Administrator
3 - from the OS X Server - run WGM and Authenticate to OS X Server: Result: Automatically authenticate to OD directory on the Server, but cannot authenticate to AD directories as AD Administrator
4 - from the OS X Server - run WGM and View Directories Result: Automatically authenticate to OD directory on the Server, but cannot authenticate to AD directories as AD Administrator
Earlier today, while using #2 scenario, I was able to see the contents of the Active Directory and could even add computers/users to the groups I had created on the server's ldap directory and successfully tested attributes on the users/computers I assigned to the respective groups. This evening though, I can no longer see users/computers in the AD and the users I added to the OD groups have lost their connections - when I look at Members, each listing name initially shows loading then changes to not found. (The ID for each still appears though).
Any ideas? I've completely reset the server configuration for OD and its binding to the Active Directoy a couple of times now, but still can't get it working. I have the sense I've missed some detail here.

You are using the "AD" DNS?
Reverse lookup of the OS X server name works (OS X server name added to forward zone and IP added to reverse zone for your LAN in "AD" DNS)?
In SA, OD, Kerberos is not running (should use AD kerberos realm)?

Azure File Services Authentication without Prompt, Passthrough
I've started to review the possibility of using Azure File Services (Preview) in order to move Window Services from on-premise to VMs in Azure. The challenge here is that in Preview this requires an Interactive Login or a custom wrapper to access via a share/rest,
thus changing the idea of just "life and shifting" a Windows Service into Azure.

Actually , I already went through the tables before, but here, there is one scenario listed below which is creating the problem :
1. There are two person related with the release of PO and either of the two can release the PO ( in other's absense ). Now, how to check who released the PO among the two. Here link with the PO is necessary as the person released this PO might not release the next PO.
Thats why i feel the link of the PO must be existing based on release code too. As suppose the organization assign another manager to release the PO, it should not affect previous PO's released by the Old manager.

A template project is one which has all the possible WBS element and activity scenarios listed. The advantage is that when one creates a brand new project, he/she can copy it from the template instead of working one up from scratch. The template will be created incorporating the standard practices of the organisation.
