XI system specific..

Hi frnds,
i want to know what are the system specific changes that we do in XI. by system i mean any specific changes in quality or in production . Actualy i want my acceptance server to point to the acceptance of the other non sap system to which we are sending data . Same applies for production .
Any ideas.
Rohit

There could be many things falling into these category.
e.g. - all RFC destinations pointing to various systems.
- various performance related parameters based on the adapters involved
- SLD Change
- ID related changes after import of ID objects

  • System Specifications for HR/Payroll

    Was trying to determine some minimum system specifications (i.e what is needed) to install HR/Payroll modules. Does not have to be specific to O/S, looking for sizing information. High level information would be more than enough.

    Thanks for the comment but I am the basis.....
    Anyone who knows an approach to get at least a rough estimate about the disk or DB resources this would cause?
    I thougt there is something I can investigate but it seems I need to consult an external specialist.
    Anyway - should anybody have an advice I would be happy.

  • INSTALL for install system specific parameters

    Hi,
    I use a third party tool to download and install an applet on my card. The last INSTALL command looks like this:
    80 E6 04 00 45 10 XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX 10 XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX 10 XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX 01 00 0E C9 00 EF 0A CA 08 01 FF FF 00 10 01 00 00 00 00
    The bytes in bold are the system specific parameters: tag (EF), length (0A) and value.
    Is there a description of these system specific parameters and what they mean or this depends on the card issuer and is therefore known only to the card issuer?
    Thanks

    The tag itself says that.
    The BER-TLV encoding is described in ISO7816-4_2005 page 14.
    The EF value reads as follows in binary: 1110 1111. (b8-b1)
    The decoding is as follows:
    b8-b7 = 11 means private class, not defined in ISO7816-4
    b6 = 1 means constructed encoding
    b5-b1 not all set to 1 means tag number 01111=15
    b6 = 1 means the contents of this tag is constructed, ie, it contains a concatenation of tags.
    next byte, 0A = 10 bytes of contents
    next byte = CA, due to the constructed encoding, this is a tag
    in binary, this reads 1100 1001
    and, b8-b7=11 = private class
    b6 = 0 = primitive encoding, the tag contains raw data and not a set of russian dolls
    b5-b1 not all set to one means tag number 9.
    To sum it up, all tags with b6 = 1 are constructed:
    That means that the following tag ranges are constructed:
    001XXXXX = [0x20 - 0x3F]
    011XXXXX = [0x60 - 0x7F]
    101XXXXX = [0xA0 - 0xBF]
    111XXXXX = [0xE0 - 0xFF]
    And the following ranges are primitive:
    000XXXXX = [0x00 - 0x1F]
    010XXXXX= [0x40 - 0x5F]
    100XXXXX= [0x80 - 0x9F]
    110XXXXX= [0xC0 - 0xDF]
    regards :)

  • For migration/upgradation of MOSS 2007 enterprise to Sharepoint 2013 System specification for new environment.

    We have an installation of MOSS 2007 enterprise in production right now with sql server 2008 SP3 and Nintex workflow 7.
    We need to migrate and upgrade to Sharepoint 2013. What system specifications we need to upgrade to sharepoint 2010 and sharepoint 2013.

    A third party tool carries the advantages of being free of infrastructure requirements.  If you don't have the budget for this, than you'll need to "double-hop" from SharePoint 2007 into SharePoint 2010 and then onto 2013.
    The jump from 2007 to 2010 is likely to be the most painful.  As John mentions any customisations and third party additions to your MOSS farm will need to be addressed as well.

  • System Specific Commands

    Hi there. I have a question about System Specific Commands.
    Basically, is there ANY way to execute a system specific command from Java? I want to try my hand at writing a program that automatically changes the background image once daily. Since I use Windows (WinME specifically... soon to be WinXP), I need to use the appropriate Windows command to do this.
    In a related question, assuming that this can be done, does anyone know the proper Windows command (and syntax) to do this? I'm just being lazy here since I'll have to research it otherwise
    Thanks
    MistWing SilverTail

    Thanks for the info
    The main reason that I'm doing this in Java is because it's free and I don't have a free C++ compiler that also has a list and description of all of the GUI APIs like Java does (let alone the other APIs needed or useful for Windows)
    Thanks

  • Operating System specific variables

    I would like to determine the operating system on which the application server is installed.
    We have a Linux and a Windows operating system running Oracle application server 6i and Oracle application server 9i.
    The forms look in the database for the path from where to run reports. Initially we had only the windows machine so we have path specific to windows, we have added a new linux operating system with Oracle 9i application server, so we are having problems with path.
    Is there a way by which I can determine the operating system and accordingly change the path.
    Thanks in advance.

    You have presumable noticed that the System.getenv() method is deprecated.
    You might look at bug ID 4199068
    http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/bugParade/bugs/4199068.html
    which calls for it to be reinstated.
    In the user comments there is some JNI code to implement your own getenv function, and other workarounds. Unfortunately this RFE is now closed, so we can't vote for it.

  • UWL system specific workitems

    Hi SDNs,
    I have integrated two SAP R/3 systems with my portal UWL and the connection is working fine and it is also displaying the workitems correclty.
    But it is just mixing up the items. For example my two SAP systems are one is for HR integration and other is for PO workflow integration.
    Suppose if i want to have only PO related workitems in one UWL iView and Leave items in other UWL iView.
    What is the way of filtering the workitems only to specific system object other than View definition customization.
    Because i don't require any custiom attributes or new actions to be included. the window should be as it is the default one only workitems should be filtered.
    Is there anyway of doing that!
    Please suggest me.
    Your help will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Sireesha.

    Hi Sireesha,
    I am having the same requirement.
    Please respond if you have resolved this.

  • Compiling for system-specific libraries on multiple platforms?

    Hello,
    I have an interesting dilemma: I have inserted some code into a program that uses some some of the com.apple.eawt packages. I can run the compiled bytecode on any system, including Mac OS X, Ubuntu, and Windows, but I can only do the compiling from the Mac OS X platform because of the use of the com.apple.eawt packages. Is there some way I can make the source compilable on any platform, like a force option? I had thought of using reflection to use the packages, but that seems like a lot of code for such a simple task, plus I don't know if that will really work at all.
    Are there any suggestions?
    Thank You in advance.

As stated that is incorrect.
    If you are using package X (excluding reflection via strings) then during compilation and runtime package X must be available.
    Now perhaps one of the following is true.
    1. You are delivering those packages with your code.
    2. You have a runtime switch that skips that code when it doesn't exist.
    Is there some way I can make the source compilable on any platform, like a force option? Just what I said above....

    Are there any suggestions?Via reflection if you ONLY used string references to ALL the classes/methods then it will compile. So a line like the following will compile on any system.
    Class X = Class.forName("com.apple.eawt.X");
    In terms of compiling however, note that presumably unit tests exist and you would have the same problem with those as with the code.
    Depending on specifics of the application it might easier to do the following.
    1. Create a proxy class(es)
    2. Wrap the apple code as a separate deliverable - with its public API being the proxy.
    3. Build that deliverable and deliver it into the main project as a jar.
    The result of that is that the main deliverable will always build on any platform. The Apple deliverable would build only on Apple.

  • Why, after updating plug-ins thru firefox's system [specifically adobe acrobat 10.1.4.38] it doesn't recognize it and says I need to update ?

    This has been happening on & off for awhile. I've tried updating thru firefox, uninstalling & updating in firefox, and within acrobat. It says its updating but the version doesn't change & can't find any evidence it did. Even uninstalling it still reinstalled 10.1.4.38 - the same version I've had since started using firefox.
    By the way, today I updated 'Shockwave Flash' thru same place & update said it still needed to update (cant remember which version it said) but I had disabled ''Shockwave for Director'. When I enabled it the update stopped saying it needed Flash update.
    Any chance there is a link between Acrobat & something else similar to the 'Director' that will assist in update recognizing it? A distant cousin-program?

    Thank you so much jscher2000. You must be a '''God of Geeks''' cause nobody would tell me what they are all for & whether I needed them or not. And there you just rattled them off like it was no effort at all. You are my lucky day - the kind that only happen once a year. Thank you, me & my freshly broken leg will appreciate it and now I'm downloading that Secunia program. Gonna find them buggers and fix my 'puter good! HAHA! 8)

  • Satellite L550 - System specifications

    Have looked through searches but no luck - just need to find out whether my satellite L550 with i5 4GR running Windows 7 Pro has the capability of supporting an eSATA external drive that I want to build as the usb ready mades take forever to backup etc.
    It has been suggested to me to find out if my machine's mobo is able to "hot swap" and is in AHCI mode - but how do i find out this info from the machine? Am fairly new to this sort of stuff and any help would be really appreciated.
    Just as a matter of interest too - if I can use such a device is it "removed" in the same way as a USB device?

    Hiyya Xardas my L550 is marked as PSLWSA-01000Q - is this what you mean?
    I was just after something on the machine that willl tell me whether or not I can use an external eSATA HDD for backup and Scott Muellers site states that these come as 1.5 or 3 Gb transfer rates and to check to see what one's machine is capable of before setting the drive to one of those settings.
    For example the drives come usually as 3Gb but have a lead that halves those different rates for compatability reasons for the machine one is using it on. In my case it is this Satellite.
    Sorry to be a nuisance but I find the backups using USB externals take so long.
    Regards
