  • Real time configurations for derivation types in COPA

We have taken the sample operating concern by going thru the path
< IMG Activity: Controlling - operating concern - sap operating concern template >, the Quickstart S-GO operating concern template>
and configured the following derivation types by looking at the examples:
    - Derivation rule
    - Table lookups
    - Moves
    - Clear

Also, it would be great if some one could provide me with real time configuration of the derivation types in COPA

    Hi Praveen
Rec Type for Variance transactions is already fixed i.e. C and cant be changed....
You can use Z rec types in KE21N for manual postings/adjustments.... Or during external data transfer
If you can be specific on your requirement, we can discuss further using Exit COPA0002 or 0005... But for standard transactions, you cant change the rec types

  • Is it possible to use run-time configuration in conjunction with Session Manager?

I'm trying to avoid using MAX, basically because it's a pain for users to configure MAX when the application already knows what the configuration is. I actually get the configuration from a database, but that's another story. I've experimented with run-time configuration (see page 4-31 of the 'IVI Driver Toolset' manual) and it works fine. However, when I try to use this in conjunction with Session Manager, session manager complains that my logical name is not a driver session name. I suspect that Session Manager is looking up logical names from a different source, therefore run-time configuration won't work. Any suggestions? I've attached the files I'm working with.
    SessionMgrTrial.zip ‏41 KB

    Hello Mark:
The Session Manager GetLogicalNames method does not distiguish between logical names and virtual instrument names. A user of the method cannot ask for just logical names or just virtual instrument names. Right now you always get both. The new function is called InstrSessionMgr.GetNames. Notice that the online help file says Boolean for the flags parameter when it is an enum.
Hope this helps. If you have any further queries, please let us know.

  • WLC date and time configuration

Hi, I have a problem with a 4402 Wireless LAN Controller running versión. The equipment is working fine, but after a hard reset i lost date and time
configuration. No other configuration is affected, only date and time. What can be the cause of this?

Hi Leo, mabuti naman po ako. Ikaw kumusta? You can speak tagalog pala. << OT.
WLC don't have NTP configured because they don't have NTP server. Anyway, I must agree with you in terms of unstable power source here in Philippines, but in this case, the client datacenter do have redundant UPS standing-by incase power interruption occurs. Actually, my client have 2x 5508 sitting side by side. The other one is working properly because we tried them to switch off and then unplugged the power cord from power source. When we plugged it again and they boot up, one WLC retains its clock and date but the other one reverts to January 1, 2000.
I think we better request for an RMA for this unit.

Try starting the configurator from the command prompt with option -forceRegistry

  • Deploy-time configuration

I'm converting a servlet-based application to a J2EE application and I would like suggestions on how to manage deploy-time configuration data.
I currently have an install program which takes information from the user, writes this to a .properties, then creates necessary databases.
If I put the properties into the application as JNDI variables, and rely on the J2EE impl's deploy tool to prompt the user for correct info, I don't think I have an opportunity in the process to run custom code and set up the database.
If, on the other hand, I make my installer the default class in the ear (ie allow java -jar foo.ear to run my install program), the user gets prompted for information, the databases created, but I can't see an easy way to get that information to the to-be-deployed application, short of rebuilding the ear on the fly.
This seems like a simple problem -- application needs to initialize back end database when deployed -- but I haven't seen it addressed anywhere.
I would be grateful for any suggestions or pointers.

Assuming (since you posted here) you have used a MVC architure as proposed
Add a new Admin action (request) that allows the configuration to be performed, this should be two stage process. Get the Config page and Post the Config page and configure. This action could be password protected, using the standard mechanism, if you envisage the config changing on an exisiting system, otherwise just prevent access if the config is defined.
Guard you application's normal actions and if the application is not configured then redirect to the Admin Action.

  • HttpProxyServlet need run-tim NOT deploy-time configuration

I've looked through a lot of the traffic and haven't seen
anything along the lines of this question. I have a system
which we compile and build and then start up in a specific
mode (i.e. production, development etc). All of the config is
done at application startup time (the config.xml file is dynamically generated).
The problem is that when configuring the
web.xml for the HttpProxyServlet we must enter in a URL for the
redirect to go to. What I really want to do is along hte lines
of entering in a property-name, the value of which will give me
    the URL, i.e. instead of:
I would like to do something like this :
With the second one I would then pass in the property:
Which would give me "run" (not deploy/build) time configuration
    of this URL.
    My question is:
    1. Has anyone done anything like this before ?
    2. Has anyone any knowledge/experience of subclassing the
    weblogic.t3.srvr.HttpProxyServlet ?
    3. Is there any way to do this type of thing in weblogic ?
    4. Would it be easier to write my own proxy servlet ?
    Any pointers to same appreciated.
    5. Is it programmatically easy/possible to register the
HttpProxyServlet in my own hand written servlet.
    Any help very much appreciated.
I have cross posted this because I think it is partly,
environment, install based and partly servlet based.

There are different options which you might try.
    1. At runtime, you can dynamically determine which sequence to call. For
example, page 11-5 of the Getting Started Manual discusses an example of
dynamically selecting different sequences to call.
    2. Also, there is an example on the web at www.ni.com/support/edp/
Follow the link to TestStand and download Dynamically Determine Which Code
    Module to Run.
    3. Other options that you should consider is the Limit Loader step type.
You can programmatically load any step property with the limit loader.
There are shipping examples that use the Limit Loader and there are examples
    on the web.
    Best regards,

  • Struts deploy-time configuration

Datasources are configured in Struts in the <data-sources> section of struts-config.xml. This is fine during development as you know the database you are connecting to. But what happens when you want to create a generic War that can be deployed on an arbitary app server, even if you specify the server type (in our case Tomcat 4.1).
The only option appears to be to let Tomcat deploy the war, then edit struts-config and re-load the application, remembering to delete the original War so that Tomcat doesn't re-deploy from that.
This all seems particularly clunky. What I would like to do is have the application configure itself during deploy, probably from some kind of config file, or possibly from a config page in the application itself that is disabled / removed once the app is configured.
So, does anyone know of an elegant or approved method of doing a deploy-time configuration of a war bundled web app?

Have you looked at declaring your data source via JNDI? i.e. use web.xml to specify the JNDI resource name and then specify details on the datasource in the server deployment. Details on implementing this in Tomcat are given in

The configuration of TIMEMANAGEMENT starts with defining of work schedules, which further is assigned to employees for calculation of Payroll. Work Schedule Work schedules are very essential for employee to exist in the system. The following process explains creation of work schedules without which the employee times cannot be recorded and the Payroll also cannot be executed. Work schedule is a Pattern of daily working Times of an employee scheduled to work and act as a guideline for employee working time. When employee is hired the work schedule rule is attached. As and when there is a change in employee working pattern the same will be changed in Infotype 0007. The Work schedule rule will give the following details: Daily working Hours with begin Time and end time of work (Includes the tolerance Limits) Weekly working Hours Monthly working Hours Annual Working Hours HOLIDAY CLASSES/CALENDAR Public Holidays are predefined in SAP. The Holiday calendar creation process is explained below: IMG Path: Personnel Time management ->Work schedules->Define Public Holiday classes Table/View: NA Transaction Code: SCAL /OY05 Holiday Class: In Bill Forge Public Holiday class 1 is used for all holidays. Can configure the date and time

    Hi NVN1979,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
Below is the basic troubleshooting guide for Apple TV.
Restarting the modem and the Apple TV is a good first step.
    Apple TV: Basic troubleshooting
Reset Apple TV by unplugging it from the power outlet, waiting about five seconds, then plugging it in again.
Power off your TV, wait five seconds, then power it back on.
Apple TV (2nd and 3rd generation): Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
Ensure that Apple TV is within range of your Wi-Fi router or base station.
Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and cable/DSL modem are connected to power and turned on.
Make sure other devices (computers, iPhone, iPad, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Check your Wi-Fi network settings on Apple TV:
Select Settings > General > Network > Wi-Fi and press the center button on the remote to display nearby networks.
Choose your Wi-Fi network from the list.
If your Wi-Fi network uses a password, make sure you are entering it correctly.
Restart your Apple TV by selecting Settings > General > Restart.
Try restarting your Wi-Fi router or modem by turning it off and then on again.
If possible, connect an Ethernet cable and verify your Internet connection. If you can connect to the Internet using an Ethernet connection, verify that your Apple TV is using the latest software by selecting Settings > General > Software Update. If your Apple TV can be updated, install the update and then try the steps again.
Apple TV (2nd and 3rd generation): Restoring your Apple TV
On Apple TV, choose Settings > General > Reset, and then click Restore.
Your Apple TV will restore to its factory settings, and will also download and install the latest Apple TV software update. This process may take some time. Do not disconnect your Apple TV's power cable during the restore process.
If you cannot use this process, and you have a micro USB cable, try the steps in the next section.
If your Apple TV (2nd and 3rd generation) still does not respond
If have a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Disconnect the power and HDMI cables from Apple TV. Note: If you do not disconnect the power cable before connecting the micro USB cable, you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list.
Connect one end of a micro USB cable to the back of your Apple TV, and the other end to one of your computer's USB ports.
Apple TV (3rd generation) only: Reconnect the power cable to your Apple TV.
    Open iTunes on your computer.
Select your Apple TV in the Source list, and then click Restore.
Your Apple TV will restore to its factory settings, and will also download and install the latest Apple TV software update. This process may take some time.
Do not disconnect any cables from the Apple TV until the restore process is completed.
I hope this information helps ....
    Have a great day!

  • Wrap-up time configuration per agent basis (in UCCX)

There are two agents (X & Y) who are part of the same CSQ, however both agents want to have different Inbound wrap-up time.
What I understand in UCCX is, that we configure wrap-up time in CSQ (unlike agent desk settings in UCCE). If its a CSQ based, this setting gets applied to all the agents whoever is part of the same CSQ. I didnt find any such wrap-up time option which can be configured at the agent level and doesnt impact whole CSQ. Is there any solution to the problem stated above?
Will greatly appreciate help in this regard.

You can do this using a workflow.
Set your CSQ wrap time to a high value, for example 600 secs.
Create 2 workflows - one for experts and one for your novices.
In your expert workflow, add a timer action to the work event in the voice contact workflow. Set this timer to the wrap up time required for experts, and add an action there to make the agent go ready (if they are not already ready).
In your novice workflow, do the same as above but give set this timer to the value required for novices.
I've tested this out on v8.5 and it seems to work OK.

  • JDK - Time configuration for France

I'm using GregorianCalendar class to get current date and time like above:
    GregorianCalendar today = new GregorianCalendar();
I'm located in Paris and the time I get is automatically converted to Greenwich Mean Time (so one hour less than the one on my server!). I found I had to specify a TimeZone to let it work properly:
GregorianCalendar calendar = new GregorianCalendar(TimeZone.getTimeZone("Europe/Paris"). But I have to make lots of changes in my aplpication...
So: Is there a way to configure directly JDK to get the same result?
    Thanks for all answers.

Your code should be producing the correct results.
The JavaDoc for GregorianCalendar state that the default constructor produces a Calendar with the default Locale and TimeZone. The default Locale and TimeZones are those supplied by your system ( your Server ).
I would suggest you check that your server has its Locale and Timezones correctly set.
This is a common problem, especially on Linux/Unix servers where this sort of setup is often overlooked after installation.
