XI User map SAP R/3 User

Hi experts,
Its possible, with the same sender agreement and the same bussines service, one xi user to one sap r/3 user in xi?
Example:
Bussines Service: BS_SendSomething
Bussines Service: BS_SAPR3Receive
Comunication: BS_SendSomething -> BS_SAPR3Receive
With userA and userB in BS_SendSomething
With userR3A and userR3B in SAP R/3 (configurated in diferents receiver agreements)
I want (without change any xml) this map in XI:
usera - userR3A
userB - userR3B
Thanks in advance.

Hi Prateek Srivastava,
I have a sender agreement with the label "Assigned Users"  with the users: userA and UserB. For example i want that userA  go to determinate receiver agreement and UserB go to other receiver agreement.
Thanks.
Note: It's possible to convert this post to a question?

  • Mapping of single Portal users to multiple backend user

    Hello Experts,
It is possible to map single portal user to the multiple R/3 user? If yes, than what is procedure to achieve it?
I have a SAP Portal where some users have 2 user ID in ECC, but I need to in Portal the users have only one user ID and password. How can I do to these users can select between their 2 profiles in ECC? Is posible?
    Thanks!
    Regards

    Hi,
This is not possible since  you would have used SSO to connect to the Backend. Either it is SSO or User Mapping is done, Portal User can only access the Backend with one User ID.
If you use SSO, for Example if the Portal User is UserA then you would have the UserA in the Backend too. It will use the UserA in backend to access.  (Note: Single User can't access multiple Backend. Since we would have already maintained the Backend Connection details in the System and also in JCo Destination. So it is not possible for a User to access the Backend with two different Backends)
If you use User Mapping, then you can decide the User which it should use. (For ESS/MSS this is not recommended and it is not feasible too).

  • User Mapping problem in EP 6.0 SP12

    Hi,
I have installed EP6 SP12 from the CBS site and created a System which is configured to an SAP R/3 system. I gave the Connector parameters, User management as "UIDPW" with "User mapping type" as "admin, user", gave a System Alias and mapped it to my R/3 user. When I test the connection, I get the following error:
    Retrieval of default alias successful
Connection failed. Make sure user mapping is set correctly and all connection properties are correct.
I read other posts in SDN and verified that the following properties are set to TRUE:
) Portal: System Administration > System Configuration > UM Configuration > Direct Editing
    2) Visual Admin: Server > Services > Configuration Adapter: cluster_data/server/cfg/services/Propertysheet com.sap.security.core.ume.service
    But this does not help.
Could someone help? I am facing this problem in SP12 version alone. It works fine on versions less than or equal to SP9.
    Regards,
    Ann Catherine Jose.

    Subrato ,
To my knowledge for usermapping , you dont require User ID in portal as same as in R3 .This applies in case of SSO with logon tickets .But yes , it should in the same domain ( for this you could use domain relaxation )
    Ann ,
Could you change ume.usermapping.unsecure=TRUE  ( from False )in
System Admin -> System Configuration ->UM COnfiguration -DIrect Editong
Al though this is not a recoomended option , can be used for testing but not in productive use . It is advisable to import security policy files  to your Visual admin
    Hope this helps

  • File System Repository - User Mapping not Working

    Hi,
I tried to integrate a file system into KM. For doing so, I followed the guide located at [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/ed/b334ea02a2704388d1d2fc3e4298ad/frameset.htm|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/ed/b334ea02a2704388d1d2fc3e4298ad/frameset.htm].
The only problem is, tht the user mapping doesn't seem to work...
The portal is running on a UNIX system, whereas the file share to be integrated is running on a Windows 2003 Server.
Here are the single steps that I performed:
    -  Creation of a KM Windows System in the system landscape directory with the ID "MySystem". User Mapping is set to "User,Admin"
    -  Creation of a Windows System in the system landscpe of the KM with the ID "MySystem"
    - Creation of a Network Path in KM with following settings:
jCIFS Protocol is activated; Network Path = "
My Server\My Share"; User = "My Windows Domain\My User" and the according password. The specified user has administration permissions on the server.
    - Creation of a readonly File System Repository Manager with following settings:
    Root-Directory = "
My Server\My Share", SecurityManager = W2kSecurityManager, ACL Manager Cache = ca_rsrc_acl, Windows Landscape System = "MySystem"
    - Configuration of the W2KSecurityManager: I specified the DomainFile-setting as "/etc/companydomaincontrollers.txt"
and placed such a file in the KM with following setting: "My.Server.Domain=According IP Adress"
    - In UME I carried out user mapping for index_service user and placed the above mentioned admin user into the user mapping.
Result: The indexing works fine, all fles are indexed. When I however try to carry out a user mapping for a "normal" portal user in the UME it doesn't work: The portal user has no access to the file system. (I used the same admin user for mapping... so it should work).
    Any help is appreciated...
P.S. With portal super admin users I can however access the fle system repository, even without user mapping. But I think this is ok, because I read in one forum message that admin users have always access in general....

    Hi Frank,
    thanks for your reply.
I have as well definied an Alias Name with exactly the same id. So this gives us following:
System landscape directory: KM Windows System with id="MySystem" and Alias="MySystem"
KM System Landscape: Windows System with id="MySystem"
In the created file system repository manager I also set "MySystem" for the Windows Landscape System parameter.
So I think that this should be correct (I also considered upper- and lowercase letters).
Maybe the probem lies in specifying the domain names? When I applied user mapping I always additionally specified the Windows domain name of the users, which is correct I think.
In the security manager configuration for the domain controllers (-> [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/a9/c54e9e09448d46b73d154e93d5e995/content.htm]) I however mapped the network domain of the file share server to the according IP adress. Maybe this is wrong?

  • Different ways to do User Mapping

    Hello all,
Could some one tell me about the ways in which we could map the user id to SAP r3 id. We already have a reference system which will do the user mapping.
Another way is to have the LDAP save the Mapped user id along with the authentication data.
Wanted to know if there are any other ways to do such a user mapping.
    Thanks ,
    Meghna

    Hi,
User mapping is used for Single Sign-On (SSO) to back-end systems. User mapping maps a portal user ID to the user ID of the back-end system.
Systems are represented by their default alias in various interfaces, such as the User Mapping dialog that displays during personalization. To make a system available for user mapping, you must:
    ● In the System Aliases Editor, define a default alias for each system that you create. For information about creating system aliases and default system aliases,
    ● In the System Property Editor, set the User Mapping Type property to either:
--> User: Only the end user can set user mapping
--> Admin: Only the administrator can set user mapping
-->Admin/User: Both the end user and the administrator can set user mapping
User mapping supports the following authentication methods:
    ● SSO using user ID and password
This method always requires user mapping. The portal ID is mapped to the user ID and password of the back-end system.
    ● SSO using logon tickets to ABAP-based systems
This method only requires user mapping if users have different user IDs in the SAP NetWeaver Portal and ABAP-based systems. Passwords are not mapped.
To access more than one ABAP back-end system, you can define a reference system. As long as all the ABAP back-end systems use the same user ID, the user can access all the systems by mapping their portal user ID to the user ID on the reference system.
Go through these helpful links for Setting User Mapping with Backend:-

  • How can i use exisitng user data(Id, password) for user mapping

    Hi All,
For User mapping , we can import user mapping data for many users from user administration. and for each user
we can maintain mapping data in the standard format.
    eg:
    [User]
    uid=user2
    $usermapping$:BCE:user=ext_user2
    $usermapping$:BCE:mappedpassword=password
i am clear till this point.
this all works if we know the userid and passowrd on the system 'BCE'.the passwords on the system 'BCE', are encrypted . so there is no chance for me to know the passwords.
so how can i use the existed userid/passowrd on the system 'BCE' for the mapped user and mapped password on the portal while doing usermapping.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Lakshmi

    Hi,
    I think this should work.
    1. Setup SSO with SAP logon tickets first. How to do this is described many places, e.g. http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/d3/41c8ecb31d11d5993800508b6b8b11/content.htm
This SSO will not work at first, because the username is different in the back-end system. So what you need to do is to get the back-end username into the ticket (don't need a password because that is done by the SAP logon ticket)
    2. Create a portal component which uses the usermanagement API to create a usermapping which only consists of the username and a blank password. You can do this manually I think if you have no reference system defined.
    IUserMappingService umap =(IUserMappingService)PortalRuntime.getRuntimeResources().getService(IUserMappingService.KEY);
//this is the currently logged in user. You might another user
    IUserContext user = request.getUser();
//Get the existing data (think it can be null)
    IUserMappingData userMapping=umap.getMappingData(systemAlias, user);
    HashMap map = new HashMap();
                             map.put(IUserMappingService.UMAP_KEY_USER, backEndUserName);
    //add blank password               map.put(IUserMappingService.UMAP_KEY_PASSWORD, "");
    //store the values                    userMapping.storeLogonData(map);
Voila, this should allow you to do SSO using SAP logon tickets, but with another name that you use against the portal. I am uncertain if this will work if you have multiple usermappings in the sap logon ticket
PS since the sap logon ticket is issued at logon time, you need to relogon to get the changes done by the code

  • Additional user mapping fields

    Hi,
I am trying to add some additioanl fields of a system to user mapping screen.
so, i created a system based on com.sap.portal.howtos.webapp.par that i downloaded from SDN
    2. added a property "department" to that par file and defined in usermapping fields tag of par file.
    3. now i created an iview for system based on this par file and under "user management" cateogry, I selected "additional user mapping fields" and specified " {mech, chem, comp, elec}Department "
    4. everything is fine and this dropdown box appears in user mapping iview
but my concern is that i want to send 0 for mech, 1 for chem, 2-comp etc... to an url iview. i just want to know.. how to store name-value pairs in that dropdown listbox of user mapping iview?
    any clues?
    thanks

    Hi Daniel,
Thank you for your reply..it was helpful for me for other issues, but didnt help me for the question of this thread. may be i was not clear in explaining my question. In simple.
    1. I create a system par file with one additional field dept.
    2. i create an alias
    3. now the user wants to do usermapping..so he goes to user administration --> user mapping and select a user
    4. then he selects the alias of a sytem in the dropdown list box, so two fields appear, i.e. username and pwd, but i want an extra field named dept with a list box of values (computers, mechanical, electronics)
    5. i was able to achieve this, by setting {computers, mechanical, electronics}dept" in the property, "Additional User Mapping Fields" of the System object created from the par.
    6. now when the user selects that system alias in the user mapping screen.. he will be able to see three fields.. username, pwd and dept(with a listbox) and he can map the user to the respective department.
    7. the listbox that is created has value and title the same like,<otpion value = "computers">computers</option> but i want it as <option value="1">computers</option>.
Could you please help me in achieving this. please let me know if you need any further information.
    Thank you.
P.S: eventhough, i specify the field dept in portalapp.xml like you mentioned, it will appear as a list box in the system object created from the par, but in the user mapping screen it appears as a text box.  so we must specify the "dept" in the property "Additional UserMapping fields" of the system object created from par.

  • Problem with user mapping

    Hello,
We got a problem with user-mapping to a SAP system.
We create a SAp system, and an alias to this system.
We add a user mapping for the administrator (user, not group). Check for connector is OK.
Now, we make the same user-mapping for a group.
if the user also belongs to the group "administrator" this mapping works, otherwise this fail with a message <b>"com.sapportals.portal.ivs.cg.SystemNotFoundException: Got null system object for alias R3HR".
</b>After checking, there is no user-mapping for the "administrator" group, nor for the roles that belong to that group, nor for the user.
So, it seem that the alias is only visible for an admin.
does any one got an idea ? we are on SP14, Linux.
    regards
    Guillaume PATRY

    HI Guillaume,
The user mapping is available for both Admin as well as end users.
Open your system from System Administration>System Configuration>System Landscape.
In the property editor,in dropdown for property category,
select the logon method as UID?password and User Mapping type to admin/user.
Then you can create a Group, map the system alias for this group and add users to this group.
Also,in the property editor for the system, from dropdown for display, select permissions , and add the group to asssigned permissions as READ ONLY and select the checkbox for ENDUSER.
    Hope,this resolves your problem.

    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/84/30984076b84063e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm

System) it is again asking BW System username & Password. I already done user mapping between the
portal user with the BW user.
After i reviewd my entire work i got one problem at:
System Administration --> System configuration --> Portal content --> opened my created system object ->
Selected Connection Tests --> Select Connection test for Connectors --> Click on Test Button --> Here i
got the following error :  Retrieval of default alias successful

I checked the usermapping area and connector Parameters those all are correct according to the document.
I was stuck at this place from 4 days please advice me what are the causes for this error

Have you tested the SSO setting by running the program "RSPOR_SETUP"?
Yes Rajesh I tested by running the program RSPOR_SETUP in BW System.
It is saying connection is success to communicate with RFC Server.
The problem is comming from the portal side when i test connector properties for System object.
But it is saying WEB AS Connection properties are success for System object.
The exact Error Message is :
Connection failed. Make sure user mapping is set correctly and all connection properties are correct.

    Dear All
I want to know the minimum number of free user in the Production Machine.
Also about the cost of each new user after exceeding the max free user limit.
    Best Regards
    Syed Saifuddin

    Syed,
Users like SAP*, DDIC, communication users are free users.
SAP charge for all business users.
There are 3rd party tool available to do License management and that can help you to stream line your license cost based on your usage. They can also recommend right license for each user.
go through various documenatation available at [www.service.sap.com]  > Keys and requests
As Juan said, Contact your SAP Account manager to get cost on each additional user.
