  • Cannot find daqmx control task.vi after upgrading computer, OS and LabVIEW

    Hello,
I have recently upgraded both my computer, OS and my LabVIEW version and I am having some issues.
    My old system was:
LabVIEW 8.6 Professional Development System running on Windows XP SP3 (Dell Desktop computer)
    My new system is:
LabVIEW 2014 SP1 Professional Development System running on Windows 8.1 Pro (MS Surface Pro computer)
I did a clean install of the LV 2014 which went smoothly. I then copied my old projects from the old machine to the new.
The simpler projects load without problem.
Some of the bigger project begin loading but hang on "Find the VI Named "DAQmx Control Task.vi" which does not seems to exist on the new computer.
There are several other DAQmx VIs that the project loader wants and do not appear to exist on the computer also.
I'm guess this could be because of the new OS, new LabView version, or because the new PC is a "tablet", or some combination of those?
    Any ideas?
    adTHANKSvance,
    Bob

    Hi bob,
when the old PC could load these VIs without complaining abut missing DAQmx functions it had DAQmx installed. Point.
Start the DeviceDriver DVD and install DAQmx.
Hint: Whenever you want to replicate your LabVIEW installation on a different computer you should check the "Software" section in MAX. It will list all needed parts/toolkits/drivers you have installed!

  • Daqmx control task

    我的情況是: 在開師兄的LABVIEW 檔的時候.發覺要搜索很多未知的檔案,

    我想問這些檔案可以在那裏找呢????

    你應該是沒有安裝NI-DAQmx
    你可以連到以下的網站下載:
    http://www.ni.com/nisearch/app/main/p/bot/no/ap/tech/lang/zht/pg/1/sn/catnav:du,n8:3478.41.181.5495,...
Labview 8.5.x, 8.6.x, 2009, and 2010

  • How to get "Browse" list of any DAQmx control in array form

When any DAQmx control is pulled down, it gives Browse option in the list as well along with a list. On clicking the Browse button same list is displayed in another dialog box. Is there any way to get this list in the form of an array or in any other form for further usage.

I actually want to get an array containing list of all physical Channels of all devices installed on a system. Just to choose one Physical channel one can use DAQmx Physical channel control. And when this control is pulled down it gives complete list of all physical channels of all devices intalled on that system but this control selects only one channel. One way to get that array or list is to put a propery node of this control in a loop which points to one element of that list and keeps shifiting to next element on every iteration but unfortunately there is no such property node.
The example which u have attached with ur message actually uses DAQmx System property node which gives an array of all devices installed on that system, similary this propery node also gives certain other lists like all Tasks, global channels etc but no physical channels and neither I could find any such property.
I hope u've understood my problem so if u could help me out I'll be thankful to u.

  • Error while creating configurable task list

    Dear Expert,
I am trying to create configurable task list for equipments and I want to use this task list for preventive maintenance cycle. In following steps I will tell you what i did in the process.
Step1:- Characteristic is created and different values are assigned to this.
Step2:- Class with class type 300 is created, characteristic is assigned to this class
Step3:- Equipments are created and class created in above steps is assigned to them and character values are set for them
Step4:- General maintenance task list created
Step5:- Configuration profile for task list with same class is created
now while creating the object assignment in the task list operation, in the dependency basic data I am getting error ' No source code entered'. Please guide me what data do I need to enter in this basic data and where I am doing wrong.
I try to follow the previous discussion regarding the same topic, but unable to create this object dependency assignment.
Thanx in advance, for your help.

    Hi Parag,
    See this document.Configurable Tasklist
I hope you will be able to connect and correct your process accordingly.
Step3 here (CU01) is related to your issue.
You are expected to give a code shown like that in the Editor above Assignments  in the Tasklist Extras menu (Takes to CU01)

  • Configurable Task List Profile

    Dear All:
    I have a small problem
For example I want to create task list general for many equipments with the same operations however, for each equipment I will use different components, the only solution i see from system point of view is that I will have to create a special task list for each and every equipment to maintain the different components
Now I was checking and I figured out that the Configurable Task List Profile can help me regarding that, I mean I can create a set of dependencies and assign them to the task list and then the system will check the variant class and characteristics and generate the operation only for what dependencies I choose
Please correct me if am wrong
    Thank you very much

  • The Type initializer for 'Microsoft.Exchange.Configuration.Tasks.ThrottlingModule1' threw an exception

    Hello,
I am getting the error message listed in the topic subject when i try to install the Exchange Server 2013 SP1 Evaluation Mode downloaded from your website. After completing all requirements & pre-requisites, I started the installation with the Mailbox
& Client Access role selected, when i get to the screen which says "Readiness Check" main page subject, and the progress says Configuring Prerequisites, before any progress in the %, i get the error message:
The Type initializer for 'Microsoft.Exchange.Configuration.Tasks.ThrottlingModule1' threw an exception
    and it says retry.
Knowing that the server is a member of a domain. How would i resolve this issue?
    Thanks,
    Elie

    hi Ed,
i am running Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard Evaluation Edition with Exchange Server 2013 Evaluation, But that error message was resolved by removing and re-installing .NET Framework 3.5. That is fine now.
But now i am getting another error message When it tries to install the Management Tools.
(Step 1 of 9: Management Tools)
    Error: The Following error was generated when "$error.Clear();

"was run: "The process does not possess the 'SeSecurityPrivilege' privilege which is required for this operation"'
knowing that the server is part of a domain and the domain controller runs Windows Server 2008 R2 Evaluation Edition.
Any ideas why this error message popups up?

  • Readiness Checks fail with "The type initializer for 'Microsoft.Exchange.Configuration.Tasks.ThrottlingModule`1' threw an exception."

There's another thread about this issue but the accepted answer actually has nothing at all to do with the original problem/question so that's a bit deceptive.
Anyway, when trying to install Exchange 2013 SP1 (on 2012 R2 Datacentre) the installation reaches the Configuring Prerequisites part of the Readiness Checks and then fails out with the message:
The type initializer for 'Microsoft.Exchange.Configuration.Tasks.ThrottlingModule`1' threw an exception.
I honestly can't find any way around this issue and the only mentions I've seen resulted in people reinstalling Windows which obviously isn't really a resolution to the problem.
Is there any known fix for this issue?

Ok well I've managed to get around that now by recreating a few registry keys and documented that here (apparently I'm not allowed to create links so can't put that here).
I have a new issue now though. It seemed to get almost all the way through the installation process but is now failing due to a "memory" issue although due to the wording I can't tell whether it means RAM or Disk space. Either way, neither should
apply. The drive has 80GB of space available and the machine has 8GB of RAM (only 2GB in use at the time the installer was ran and the amount didn't drop).
    The exact error is...

So if it's not the drive (there's only one drive in the machine) or RAM then what exactly has it ran out of?

  • Adding script to Available Scripts in Configuration Task

I'm following the instructions for creating a Configuration Task here:
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/817-7961/6mn8bt797?a=view
My question: How do I get a new script added into the Available Scripts in the Edit File Set window? Hi SquibbyDog,
My question: How do I get a new script added into the

that shows up there is email.sh, and I would like to
add a script that we want to deploy to all of our
SunMC clients, but can't find info anywhere on how to
get it added into SunMC so that it can be selected. The scripts that are available are the same scripts that can be run as "actions" on that particular system. i.e. owned and executable as root, and in /var/opt/SUNWsymon/bin
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-5417/6n7gj8272?l=en&a=view#actions-tab
Remember also that you need special permissions to be able to pick up and move those scripts (regular SunMC admin priviledges are enough to move just the modules and thresholds). Use the "es-config -m" command to augment your SunMC account:

  • Cannot see some UAR configuration tasks

I am on GRC 5.3, SP9.  I see some of the configuration tasks for UAR; however, I cannot see the "REJECTION REASON" screen or the "UAR LOAD DATA TASKS" screen that the configuration manual mentions.  I have all of the AE role assigned to me.  Could this still be a security issue or are these older screens from 5.2 that are no longer available in 5.3?  If it is a security issue, does anyone know what security is missing?  I thought AEADMIN had everything needed for configuration.
    Thanks,
    Peggy

Never mind.... AEADMIN was missing some authorizations for UAR configuration.  Once I added them, I see the config.
ManageUARLoadDataTask, ViewManageRejectionReasons, and a few others were not there.  I didn't update my roles when I went to SP9 so this is probably why I am missing some.
    Thanks,

  • PI - Schedule Configuration Task

    Good Morning,
In Cisco PI 2.1 I would like to create a scheduled configuration task so that each evening PI saves the running-configuration of a switch to memory. I've created and deployed the template successfully however, I can't find a way to schedule this & I'd prefer not to have to login and deploy the template each day.
Can anyone offer some advise on if this is possible?
    Thanks

    Hi Afroz,
your suggestion refers to fetching the device configuration. I think that Michael is asking about scheduling a template deployment to a device. And this is what interests me also. There is no option to reuse a task which was scheduled and to make it run on a daily, weekly basis.

Any ideas what might be causing this? All servers are in the same domain, firewalls don't seem to be dropping anything, SCCM client is installed, but thats it.
    Appreciate any feedback.

  • Error: The type initializer for 'Microsoft.Exchange.Configuration.Tasks.ThrottlingModule`1' threw an exception.

having problems on new server so I followed instructions to remove Exchange Server 2013 Sp1 using ADSI edit p;er these instructions:
    http://blog.dargel.at/2012/11/20/complete-remove-exchange-2013-using-adsiedit/
    now when I re-run setup for exchange 2013 SP1 I get the error :
"Error: The type initializer for 'Microsoft.Exchange.Configuration.Tasks.ThrottlingModule`1' threw an exception."

contrary to what Ed says you can fix this, it is way harder than it should be and I have NEVER had this many issues on a  fresh build!
things to note on Exchange 2013
    1. IPv6 MUST work and also DNS set manually, verify port 25 is open on your firewalls!
    2. even if services are running make sure there are no errors in the application event log and check that all services on the Exchange server are set to ACTIVE. to find out type the below command in exchange management shell
    Get-ServerComponentState –Identity servername
    3. The group "everyone" did not have the right "Access this computer from the network". This could be seen by an audit failure in the security log stating that the user
"<mailbox server name>" did not have the required login type (login type 3).
Adding everyone to the "Access this computer from the network" right solved the issue.
To enable "Access this computer from the network" :
    Run "gpedit.msc"
    Navigate through
Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > User Rights Assignment
    Double click
on "Access this computer from the network", and ensure "Everyone" is added.
    4. verify all connectors are setup correctly
Also I found an error in the event log Event
ID: 1009 once I fixed that emails started to fly!
To resolve the issue, use one of the following methods.
    Method 1
Create a new Active Directory group that is named “ContentSubmitters,” and then grant Admistrators and NetworkService full access to the group. This is a dummy group and should be used as a placeholder only. You might want to add a description so that
    the group is not removed.
Force or wait for Active Directory replication.
    Restart the following services:
    Microsoft Exchange Search
    Microsoft Exchange Search Host Controller
    Method 2
You can also resolve this problem by removing a configuration entry that refers to the ContentSubmitters group. This entry is present in four files. Each file is calledWcfConfigurator.xml,
and you can find each file in the following folder:
    %ExchangeInstallPath%\Bin\Search\Ceres\HostController\Data\Nodes\Fsis\<var style="border:0px;font-family:monospace, monospace;font-size:1em;font-style:inherit;font-weight:inherit;margin:0px;outline:0px;padding:0px;vertical-align:baseline;">NODENAME</var>\Configuration\Local
Here, “%ExchangeInstallPath%” is the Exchange installation root path (available in the environment variable of that name), and the placeholder <var style="border:0px;font-family:monospace, monospace;font-size:1em;font-style:inherit;font-weight:inherit;margin:0px;outline:0px;padding:0px;vertical-align:baseline;">NODENAME</var> represents
one of the following names. (There is one name for each of the four files that are to be edited.)

  • Significance of configurable task list

Please explain the significance configurable task list and how this is done in the system?

    For Ex.  Pulsar  servicing center
Pulsar 135 and 150  are coming for maintenance
    Operations to be done
    Lube oil flushing  - common for 135 & 150
    Piston 135 replacement - only for 135
    Piston 150 replacement - only for 150
We can input 135 or 150 in the order to select the operations related to 135 or 150
If you select 135, Lube oil flushing & Piston 135 replacement wiill appear in the order operations
This is the configurable task list.
    For this
    Create Equipment  IE01
Create class characteristics with class type 300 CL04 & CT01
    Create dependency Cu01
Create General task list and assign dependency for operations IA05
Create configuration profile for general task list CU41
Create order and select the task list
