XL Reporter Add On Start Error

hi.
I could succesfully registed XL Reporter.
When i restarted B1, its giving the following error:
<b>Unalbe to Connect to XL Reporter
Error! Unable to get document!
Type: 1
Cause: Automation Error</b>
Please suggest.
thanks.

Lakshman,
Typically you will get this error when you have loaded .Net 2.0.  Even though the XL Reporter is not a .Net application, it uses and is only currently compatible with .Net 1.1.  The error you’re getting is because it is trying to use .Net 2.0 components and it is not compatible.
Please see the SAP Note 898635 at this link ... https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/smb_searchnotes/display.htm?note_langu=E&note_numm=0000898635
There is a file that you can download to help you tell the XL Reporter to use .Net 1.1.
HTH,
Eddy

  • Action failed after start Crystal report add-on then Account Setup

    Dear All,
    We got an error message on a work station when start Crystal report add-on >> Go Account Setup >> type in sa password >> Action failed
    Then I tried on the server. It used to work before. I type in the same password, the error message said 'login failed...'
    The password is correct. I can login by using management studio.
    Then I changed the password of sa user in management studio. On the server, after I changed password in Account Setup, it works. But on the workstation, I still have the same error message Action failed.
    They are on SAP2007A PL06HF01, SQL2008, the OS of the workstation is Windows Vista business
    Any idea? Thanks a lot.
    Regards,
    Yuka

    Hi Yuka,
    I moved your post to the Integration Kit forum.
    Also be aware that CR 2008 supports MS SQL Server 2008 with Fix Pack 2.3 installed. MS also only supports MS SQL Server with their new Client. Go to the install CD for SQL Server and instlal the client Tools which installs a new driver.
    Need to know what version of CR you are using?
    Thank you

  • Crystal Reports Add-On Must be a Superuser error

    Hello All,
    I could not find anything related to my issue so far, so please direct me , if there is  already a solution in the post.
    My issue is that I have installed the Crystal Reports Add-on version 2.0.0 and  I can use it under Manager account in SBO 2007 just fine.
    However when I try to launch the main form of add u2013on (frmCrystalReports ) to view/print a report under Customer Service user account it gives me an error:
    -          u201COnly super users are allowed access to this functionu201D
    The form is seen in the menu and Add-on is started.
    I have tried to give all the authorizations to the Customer Service user account -It doesn't work.  Only when i check 'Superuser' for the Customer Service user it works!
    How could I enable non-superuser accounts to use launch the form and view the reports? What could be a problem?
    Thank you for any comments in advance.
    Rahim

    Gordon
    It is Full License - the same license as the one that Manager account is using. Customer Service user is not relevant to a license type. Only  authorizationwise, the user is  configured to work with sales part in SBO.
    In fact, it can be any user- even with all authorizations enabled , and unless "Superuser" is checked for a particular user  in "users" form,  the result  is the error.
    As you  know giving "Superuser"' rights to all acounts  is not an option.
    Thanks
    Rahim

  • Report server start error

    Hi,
    After I installed my Devsuit10g report server was starting fine without any problem by using this command 'rwserver server=servername'
    Then I have installed oracle 10g on the same machine, after that report sever start gives this error message as 'The procedure entry psoasys could not be located in the orapls10.dll'.
    I can see this .dll in both oracle devsuithome/BIN and oracleDB home/BIN.
    Now how to start the report server. I have no Oracle AS installed in this machine.
    Has anybody encountered this problem? any solution?
    Rgds

    Maybe this could help:
    set ORACLE_HOME=devsuitehome
    set PATH=devsuitehome/BIN;%PATH%
    rwserver server=servernamecheers

  • Forms / Reports 6i - slow starting printing & FRM-41211 Integration error

    We are having a problem with Forms / Reports 6i that seems to be slowly getting worse.
    When beginning printing, the CPU usage goes up to 100%. In task manager I can see IFRUN60.EXE or RWRBE60.EXE, or IFBLD60.EXE or RWBLD60.EXE taking up 70% or so of the CPU time with the rest being taken up by the SPOOLSV.EXE spooler service.
    This can be observed when
    * Starting the Reports background generator from the Forms runtime
    * Printing from a "print form" function inside the Forms runtime
    * Starting Reports builder
    * Printing from Reports Builder
    * Printing from Forms Builder
    The big problem is launching Reports from the Forms runtime. If this CPU / Spooler wheel spinning takes more than 30 seconds or so (and it can on slower machines), Forms thinks that it has failed to launch Reports and gives the error "FRM-41211 Integration error: SSL failure running another product" Eventually the reports background generator will finish launching.
    This happens on NT 4, 2000, XP, and 2003 server. I have tried this in a "clean" configuration where nothing else (no extra services or anything) is running at all and this still happens. We are currently running Forms & Reports Patchset 17.
    Does anyone have any idea what is causing this? Thanks.

    More info:
    This is one of the lines that is calling the report:
    RUN_PRODUCT(REPORTS, 'ORDER_PRINT.RDF', SYNCHRONOUS, BATCH, FILESYSTEM,ORDER_ID,'');
    Here is another one:
    RUN_PRODUCT(REPORTS
    ,'OE_AUTO_QUOTE'
    ,SYNCHRONOUS
    ,RUNTIME
    ,FILESYSTEM
    ,ORDER_ID
    We have a client/server setup. We are running 6i forms and reports, with a 9 database.
    There have been no changes to these forms or reports. And it doesn't happen all the time. It just happens every-so-often.
    EDIT - I guess it has been doing this for the past 3 weeks. One user says it happens everytime she tries to print anything from a form......
    I've searched the forum about this and there are a lot of unanswered questions. I'm thinking my chances are slim on figuring this out.
    2nd EDIT - I looked at the documentation at
    https://metalink.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/ml2_documents.showDocument?p_database_id=NOT&p_id=164945.1
    everything seems to be right - according to that. So I'm wondering if this has anything to do with any sort of networking issues.....
    .....3rd EDIT........
    Still searching. It looks like this person has the same problem. http://www.webservertalk.com/archive149-2005-11-1283220.html
    Having problems with the rwrbe60.exe
    I'm wondering if there was some sort of patch Microsoft let out that is causing this issue?

  • XML Report Publisher program is erroring out

    Hi All,
    I've customized the AR Customer Statements.
    I've created a data definition as "ARXSGP" and uploded the sample_output.xml of Statement Generation Program to it. Also I've created a Data template as "ARXSGPO" and attached the data definition "ARXSGP" to it and uploaded the customized rtf file "XXHCC_CLE_F_ARCUSBALSL.rtf" and set the default output type to PDF.
    As I donot wish to call the XML Report Publisher program manually every time when I Print the Statements through Print Documents-->Statements.
    So I've done the below customization in ARXSGP.rdf file ie; Print Statements Report which is an Oracle Report.
    I've added the below code in After Report trigger.
    =======================================
    FUNCTION AfterReport
    RETURN BOOLEAN
    IS
    BEGIN
    Below code added for Customer Statement Case Study
    DECLARE
    l_req_id NUMBER := 0;
    L_XML_LAYOUT BOOLEAN := TRUE;
    BEGIN
    L_XML_LAYOUT := FND_REQUEST.ADD_LAYOUT (TEMPLATE_APPL_NAME => 'AR', TEMPLATE_CODE => 'ARXSGP', TEMPLATE_LANGUAGE => 'en', TEMPLATE_TERRITORY => 'US', OUTPUT_FORMAT => 'PDF');
    IF L_XML_LAYOUT THEN
    srw.message(20001, 'Template is picked ');
    srw.message(20002,'Concurrent request Id : '||:p_conc_request_id);
    l_req_id := FND_REQUEST.SUBMIT_REQUEST('XDO',
    'XDOREPPB',
    NULL,
    NULL,
    FALSE,
    :p_conc_request_id,

    'ARXSGPO', -- Statement Generate
    'en-US', -- English
    'N',
    'RTF',
    'PDF');
    IF l_req_id > 0 THEN
    COMMIT;
    ELSE
    srw.message(20004, 'Failed to submit request');
    END IF;
    ELSE -- Not L_XML_LAYOUT
    srw.message(20005, 'Template is not picked ');
    END IF;
    END;
    --------------------Code Ends----------------------------
    SRW.USER_EXIT('FND SRWEXIT');
    RETURN (TRUE);
    END;
    ==============================================
    After Printing the Statements through Print Documents-->Statements
    Statement Generation Program is being called and later XML Report Publisher program is also being invoked.
    But the XML Report Publisher Program is erroring out with below error.

    After upgrading from v8.8 PL18 to PL19 the XL Reporter add-on fails to start and displays the following error message: "The new version of Add-on XLReporter is installed. Upgrade the Add-on in the current Common DB."

  • Crystal Report add-on SAP B1

    Hi Experts,
    I have successfully installed Crystal report add-on on SAP B1 server, I can see the attached report in all modules on server as well as client machine, but when i tried to open any report on client machine, it is not opening but it is properly display on server.
    Should i need to install crystal report runtime for all the client machine?
    Pls. guide me for the same.
    Regards
    Kamlesh Vagal

    Hi dear,
    Install the crystal report prerequisites on every client machine you want to show crystal reports.
    follow the below mentioned steps:
    1. The installation disk or folder will contain a single setup.exe
    2. Log on to the target PC as an administrator or admin type user (windows).
    3. copy the setup.exe to a convenient location on the target PC and run setup.exe
    4. Setup exe will install Crystal reports runtime (version 10), Microsoft runtime files and the add-on files. It is recommended that you keep the path selected by the installer. The default installation path for the Add-on files is C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One\AddOns\SAP_CR_CRYSTAL_1_10.
    5. Once the setup.exe has completed, log on to SAP as manager or any other superuser.
    6. Using Administration | Addons | add-On Administration, register the Crystal Add-On, set the desired settings and restart SAP.
    7. There is a known issue within SAP where with multiple add-ons starting automatically with a super user, SAP will shutdown as soon as the user logs on. If this issue occurs always log in through the choose company screen. SAP is aware of this issue and will be rectifying this in a patch.
    8. Log on to SAP, as a super user.
    9. Run Account setup from Administration | Crystal Reports Administration | Account setup
    10. Type in the sa password for the SQL server that holds SAP databases, and click Update.
    11. Click the u201CCreate Ext Tablesu201D button. Add-on will create the additional tables now (this process must be performed for each new SAP company once).
    12. THE TASKS 3 TO 5 and task 10 INCLUSIVE WILL NEED TO BE RUN ON ALL PCS THAT NEEDS THE CRSYTAL ADD-ON. 13. Crystal add-on is ready to use. A help file is provided and you may test the add-on with the sample reports found in u2026\ SAP_CR_CRYSTAL_1_10\SampleReports. The help file can be found in u2026\SAP_CR_CRYSTAL_1_10
    this will solve your problem.
    Regards,

  • Crystal Report Add On

    Dear All,
    I have SAP B1 crystal report add installed in my client computer.  And also i already setup display menu for each user (which module should appear for each user).  The problem is once i run crystal report add on, then SAP B1 will display all menu again for each user while they (user) don't want to see all these unused modules.  Is there any setting to avoid this problem?
    Thanks and Regards

    Hi,
    After staring the Crystal reports addon,again do the form setting for the respective user.
    Then close sap b1 session.
    Now log in sap b1,start the addon,all modules will not be displayed
    I have checked in my test system and i am getting the desired result.
    Kindly let us know if this solves your issue.

  • Adding a Subreport to existing report and getting this error, "Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters"

    I have taken on an existing vb.net project done in Visual Studio 2008 with crystal reports version Crystal Report XI.
    The reports on their own work very well. Problem is I need to add information to my report which is a 'many-to-one' situation where for each Project Id that I am displaying I need to display several attached documents and the report I am working on is for several Project Id's.
    I figured this would be a perfect situation for a SubReport. I created a separate report which calls a stored procedure to get all of the Attached Documents for a specific Project Id. I thought if I were to add this new SubReport to the Original Report and link the Project Id's, easy-peazy, I would be done.
    This is not the case. I have vb code that loads the Original Report with a stored procedure and when this code runs with the setup I described above it fails when it is creating the final report with the following error:
    Logon failed. Details: crdb_adoplus : Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Error in File C:\~\ProjectDescriptionReport {6BA19F79-2A12-4826-B1F6-456EF799963B}.rpt: Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters.
    I have no specific connections in my vb code for the reports. If I do not add the subreport to the main report, it loads correctly, so I know the error is caused by the subreport.
    This is the code that creates the original report (sorry for dumping the code here, i just thought it would be easier to see all the code) :
    Public Function LoadReport(ByVal inProjectNum As Integer, ByVal strProjectName As String) As DataTable ', ByVal inFiscalYear As Integer, ByVal inCompany As String) As DataTable
            Dim cnn As SqlConnection = Nothing
            Dim cmd As Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand
            Dim obj As New clsDataClass
            Dim dataAdapter As SqlClient.SqlDataAdapter
            Try
                LoadReport = New DataTable("DescriptionReport")
                cmd = New SqlCommand()
                cnn = obj.Create_Connection()
                With cmd
                    .CommandType = Data.CommandType.StoredProcedure
                    .Connection = cnn
                    .CommandTimeout = "60"
                    .CommandText = "usp_GetProjectGroupSpecsCR"
                    .Parameters.AddWithValue("@ProjectNumber", inProjectNum)
                    .Parameters.AddWithValue("@ProjectName", strProjectName)
                End With
                dataAdapter = New System.Data.SqlClient.SqlDataAdapter
                dataAdapter.SelectCommand = cmd
                dataAdapter.Fill(LoadReport)
                Dim oRpt As New ReportDocument()
                oRpt.Load(Server.MapPath("ProjectDescriptionReport.rpt"))
                oRpt.Refresh()
                oRpt.SetDataSource(LoadReport)
                'oRpt.OpenSubreport("AttachmentsReport").SetDataSource(LAR)
                oRpt.SetParameterValue("inProjectNum", inProjectNum)
                oRpt.SetParameterValue("strProjectName", strProjectName)
                oRpt.ExportToHttpResponse(ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat, Response, True, "Projects_DescriptionReport") 'inCompany & "ProjectsReport_Description" & inFiscalYear) <-- Line where the error occures.
    What I need to know is what is the proper way to add a subreport to a vb.net application?
    From the ways I have tried it is clearly not working and I am out of ideas. I am fairly new to Crystal Reports and this way of coding it.
    Any help for this would be greatly appreciated, I've been stuck on this for a while and am finally reaching out to the Crystal Report Specialists.
    Thank you in advance,
    Bryan

    Hi Bryan,
    You may want to check the Connection properties also. I think the MS Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand is using the MDAC driver, or could be modified.
    If you are connecting to SQL Server 2008 or above you should be using the SQL Native 10 or 11 Client.
    As Dell suggests have a look at the samples and if you can use a DSN ( 32 bit or 64 bit ODBC Admin )
    Also search for "CRlogger", you'll find how to enable CR's database logging component and may help show you what part is failing.

    Hi
    Are you using <b>crystal wave</b>  a third party add  or the crystal report add on provided by SAP.
    1.Are all your user facing same issue ?
    2.Did it happen to only item or it is happening to all ?
    So far looks to me ,some fields have been deleted from template. It might be the cause .
    Hard to troubleshoot if it is coming from addon ...
    Well try restoring a default template (if you have ) or some other layout to test the issue.
    Thank you
