XL REPORTER - control pagination schedule.
It is possible insert end page in schedule from XL reporter designer?
I've got schedule - 80 sheets, I need insert end page in part, where is control data in this schedule.
Please help me to solve this issue.

Problem of POP LOV in a SQL Report with pagination

I am using a pop up lov (along with some other fields), HTMLDB_ITEM.POPUP_FROM_LOV(5, null, 'EMPLOYEE_LIST', '20', '50')), in a sql report. This is a report with pagination. Whenever I select any value from pop up lov on first page of the report it gets populated properly in the corresponding text field. But from second page onwards it doesnt populate any value.
For example, my report fetches a total of 50 rows, of which I am displaying 15 at a time. The popup lov comes with a text field for each row. Whenever I do select from popup lov for 1-15 rows which come on page 1, the values come up in the text field properly, but for rows 16-30 on second page, 31-45 on third 46-50 on fourth the values do not get populated. When I changed the pagination settings to display 40 rows..the values were still coming properly on page 1(1-40 rows) and not on the next page. Any clues how to resolve this problem?

good find. this is a bug that has already been identified and will be corrected in the upcoming patch release for htmldb. a good work-around for now is to use the equivalent declarative options in the tool. so rather than coding your query like...
select ename , HTMLDB_ITEM.POPUP_FROM_LOV(2, null, 'DEPARTMENT', '20', '50') as "department" from emp
...just code it like this...
select ename , null as "department" from emp
...and then use the column attributes screen for your "department" column to indicate that you'd like that col to be rendered as a "Popup LOV (named LOV)" using your DEPARTMENT list of values.

Empty report with pagination, rows not displayed

Dear HTML DB Team,
We have in our reports the next error: An empty report with pagination appears , no rows not displayed
The test case to reproduce the error:
1. Create "SQL report" with next report attributes in "Layout and Pagination"
a. Row ranges 1-15 16-30 in select list (with pagination)
b. Number of Rows : 15
c. Number of Rows (Item): empty
d. Max Row Count: empty
2. Fill the table on which the report is based with 17 rows
3. Go to the 2nd page of the report , pagination rows 16-17 of 17
4. Remove 2 rows from the table, refresh report
5, The pagination shows now 1 - 15 of 15 rows
- no rows displayed
- no "previous button" ( only )
- no way to get the rows displayed, except logging out and in again
Any suggestions?

Hello,
i encountered the same problem while developing in HTMLDB.
In application builder, i select application Application 106, then click on items, then click next ( the application has 22 global items). Now i want to take a look at the global items in application 105 (there are only 5). In the menu i click Builder - Application 106, select application 105 from Available Applications, click Go and Items. It shows no rows, but says that is displaying rows 1-5, and offers a Next button. No way to see/modify the items unless make a new session or go back to Application 106, Click Previous to see the first page of global items and then again switch to Appication 105 or click to the next button and then manually set pg_min_row=1 in URL.
One more question - is this forum the right place to report bug suspicions, or is there some other special place for that?

Sharepoint 2013 and SSRS how to send reports on date schedule after dw load completes

Certainly with subscriptions we can generate a SSRS report on a schedule like say every Monday morning at 5 AM PT. My problem is I want to run those reports but I want to make sure the Datawarehouse completed its load first. Example if
for some reason the DW breaks at 4 AM and does not finish the load the Reports should not run. ONce the DW is finished then reports should run. The 5 AM is really a place holder for 1st attempt to send reports. It should keep trying until
it can send them or Tuesday comes around.
the only approach I can think of is via the DW with a job and stored procedure you could have it exec anything you want. Is it possible to exec the reporting services report from sql? Is there a way from within sharepoint?

According to your you want to fire the SQL Server Reporting Services after the Data Warehouse load data completed, right?
By default, when a subscription is created, a corresponding SQL Server agent job is created meanwhile. The SQL Server agent job has the same schedule with the shared schedule or report-specific schedule that is using by the subscription.
The corresponding SQL Server agent job calls stored procedure AddEvent to add an event in SSRS. Then the SSRS notification service fetches the event from SSRS database to deliver the subscription.
That, we can configure regular shared schedule or report-specific schedule based on the irregular schedule. So in your scenario, you can configure the job steps to fire the subscription after the Data Warehouse load data completed. For the details, please

Sql Query(Updateable Report) with pagination

Hi,
We're on APEX 3.2 I have a question on Sql Query(Updateable Report) and pagination. I have an updateable report which we have set to show 20 rows. When the userwhi has more than 20 rows enters the data and clicks next the data disappears. I have been reviewing other posts, but haven't come to a clear conclusion on how to prevent this from happening. I have been trying to use javascript to show a save popup when clicking 'Next' Any help is appreciated.

Report Template Pagination

I've created a report "row" template and am having trouble displaying pagination.
In the Pagination Template section I put
<span class="RISKRPT">#TOP_PAGINATION#</span>
where RISKRPT is the name of the report template.
Can someone please tell me what I'm missing.

Yes I have the report template working fine I just don't know how to code so the pagination displays on my new report template. In the "Layout and Pagination"section do I select a pagination scheme? Then in the report template "Pagination" section do I code something? This
is what I don't know. I've tried #PAGINATION#, '#TOP_PAGINATION#' but only the literal values print on the report.

Change 'report parameters' of scheduled report

How can I change the report parameters (not schedule parameters) programmatically and then schedule the 'modified' report immediately?
Scheduling works off - Binding off InfoObjects model
Modifying Parameters are based off - Binding off RAS model
Should I be using the ReportDocument Object?

Crystal Reports Server 2008 - Scheduling Reports Best Practice

What is the best practice for scheduling a report that will be distributed to approximately 30 recipients? I have uploaded a report that has a single parameter for the physician's name. I need to distribute this report on a daily basis to each physician using their name as the parameter. Should I right-click on the single report that is uploaded and schedule the report with the corresponding parameter and physician e-mail address, or should I create 30 reports each with the physician's name. Basically, I need a way to see all of the scheduled jobs for a given report? Is this possible in Crystal Reports Server 2008? Thanks.

The way that I handle all of our scheduled reports is to create the report with parameters to cover all of the necessary variations of the same basic report. For you, that's be a single report with the doctor's name (or other identifier) as a parameter. I then create an Object Package (I use BOE, so I'm not positive if CR Server has them, but I'd guess so...) for each variation (doctor in your case), and copy the report into the package. I then set up the destination and schedule for the package, and set the parameter(s) of the report. Then, schedule the package to run.
The advantage of using object packages is that it separates the schedule and distribution from the actual report, so if (or I should say, when :->) the report changes, you don't have to copy the schedule and destination to the new version of the report, saving time and reducing errors. Just copy the new version into the package, set the parameters, delete the old version, and reschedule the package to run.

Differentiate between report and generated scheduled report - report list

How do I differentiate between a (.rpt) report and a (scheduled generated report) from this report (.rpt with data) when I list all the reports on the server.
I need this information because when I view the scheduled report, I do not need to set the parameters via the crystal viewer.

I am not sure why the scheduled report is saying si_instance=false.
So I scheduled the sample report - Drilldown and named the scheduled instance as "DrilldownInstance",
it created two info objects. One has SI_INSTANCE = true and the other has SI_INSTANCE = false!!!!!

I presume it should have only created one object, and set si_instance=true

I am using Crystal Reports 8.5 Developer. I know it is old, but I am using the original Crystal Reports Control ActiveX. Where can I get a list of the available commands available to me? e.g. printreport, exportto etc.

I found it by searching on "developer help 8.5" in the kbase search field.
If you're developing in VB6 you can also go to the object browser in VB6 and filter on CRAXDRT. The object browser is usually on one of the toolbars in the VB6 IDE. Change the "<All Libraries> option in the upper left corner of the object browser to CRAXDRT and you'll see a filtered list. You can drill into the different objects from here to get a better understanding of the object.

Report control missing

Hi,
Initially I did not find any control for reporting then I installed reportviewer control but it just installed report viewer. I could not find any control to add a report to it. Anybody knows how to get report control?

In VS 2012 I believe after adding a Report Viewer control to your Form you can then select the project tab and add new item of either a Report or Report Wizard.
I'm not too familiar with the Report Viewer control. Or databases.
I don't know how you populate your DataGridView. But I would guess that the Report Viewer control may be able to populate from a DataTable using a Binding source but I'm not sure since I've never really done that.

You can download two samples. The below link downloads an executeable that unzips the two samples to a location you specify. I specified C:\Users\John\Desktop\RV and the folder unzipped in RV is Report_Viewer_Samples. Within that folder are
two projects which are RSSNewsReader which is in C# I believe and WebLogAnalyzer which uses a binding source which comes with it and is in VB.
WebLogAnalyzer should have pretty much code you can use with the Report Viewer control. It has .RDLC files in its project folder at least after it's built. I would use Option Strict On with it though cause it's old and after it upgrades on your system then
place Option Strict On in it to correct any errors in it.
Although since you're using VS Express perhaps it will not work since VS Express, the version you have i.e. Desktop or whatever, may not have all necessary capability to use the code.
Below the link is an image of WebLogAnalyzer running. And below that is VS showing apps info. The app takes about 40 or 50 seconds to load on my laptop before the data displays.

In SM37 Job overview, it is Menu JOB -> Catch Job. This will catch it in the debugger. If it is too fast for that, then calls this form:

perform wait_debug.
form wait_debug.
data: lv_wait type flag value 'X'.
while lv_wait is not initial.
endwhile.
endform.
</pre>
If you catch a job with report 'waiting' in this form, you can clear lv_wait in debugger and then continue step ba step.

I dont think you require ECC system upgrade only for Control M. This product is even compatible with R/3 versions.
As per suggestion from Joe, please raise a call with BMC support team to check software version and SAP compatibiliy.
