XL Reporter - folder name with funny character

Hi experts,
I'm using SAP B12007A PL:30 and XL Reporter Version 8.0.13.
When I try to start my xl reporter, all predefined folder names in Report Organizer change
to funny character. For example, the predefined folder name of "Inventory" display as "B1_11_2304".
Please advice. Thanks

Hi,
Kait Chong.
once again you disconnect XL Report Add on in Add on Manager then you Connect XL Report. B1_11_2304".  this is Inventory ID. try to Uninstall XL Report and install XL Report Add on then it will show
Dimensions are transaction data that has underlying tables (master data) in the SAP Business One database. For instance, if you have a transaction with the name of a sales person recorded, you can have an underlying Sales Employee table that holds more information about the sales person. Other examples of dimensions are: Financial Period, G/L Accounts, Business Partner, Warehouses, Items, Vendor and many more.

    Hello friends..
    please advise,
    I want to create folder name with yesterday's date and then move yesterday's date files to this folder...so for example;
    if today is 2014_07_17 then create folder as below (2014_07_16)
    d:\test\214_07_16
    then move all files extension .txt from d:\test\*.txt to d:\test\2014_07_17
    thanks in advance...

    These ones may help.

  • Smart collection and folder names with "_"

    I have problems when making Smart Collections based on folder names
    My folder name is 2009_11_20 Mist
    When I make a Smart collection with "Folder" Stars with 2009
    I get a lot of files
    When I change the  2009 to 2009_11 I get no files. Even when I make 2009_ I get no files
    When I change the 2009 to Mist and the "Starts with" to "Contains" again I get the desired files.
    When I change the 2009 to 2009_11 and the "Starts with" to "Contains" again I get no files.
    It seems that LR with Smart Collections cannot handle the "_" character???
    Who can help?

    It's a bug. The usual workaround is to use hyphen as the separator in your folder names instead of an underscore.

  • Report handling names with a single quote

    Report 10gR2
    I have created a report and most of the functionality that i want is working as expected.
    I have a report where i am letting user enter their first name on one field and last name on another field in the parameter screen ( thats how it's stored in the database)
    If they enter any name with an aphostrophe , say D'Costa ( either first name or last name)
    then i get the below error
    REP-50003: Bad parameter: pfaction=http://.........
    I am using like keyword as seen below in the afterparam trigger and passing the parameter :p_where_last_name to the main sql query
         :p_where_last_name := ' AND UPPER( :last_name) LIKE (' ||''''||'%'||UPPER(:last_name)||'%'||''''||')' ;
    Whats the best approach to handle this issue
    Also is there a way to capture this error
    ' REP-50003: Bad parameter: pfaction=http://.........
    ' and display a message, if so where and how, please advise.
    thanks.

    I am not using form , it's just done in report, that is i am not calling the report from a form , just from a menu.
    :last_name is a report_paramter that i created on the report.
    you're right the first assignmnt is
    AND UPPER( db column) LIKE
    I have a paramter form on the report with a field last name and I am letting the user enter last name there which gets stored in the :last_name

    Rodolfo,
    your solution works,
    :p_where_clause := ' AND UPPER( db_column ) LIKE (' ||''''||'%'||UPPER(Replace(:p_2,chr(39), chr(39)||chr(39)))||'%'||''''||')' ;
    but i dont quite understand how this is working
    Replace(:p_2,chr(39), chr(39)||chr(39))
    i have never used chr

  • Overwrite crystal report file name with new version but keep history

    I am writing a Crystal Reports .NET SDK in C# code to upload a crystal report files from its destination to CMC folder on BO XI R2 Platform.
    On "Upload Button" click_event, validate the two check boxes controls named "Keep History", and "Remove History". Once "Keep History" check box is selected, check If the SAME report file name exists in the same destination CMC folder, if Yes, overwrite it BUT Keep the History and all its associated objects like "recurring objects". If "Remove History" is selected, then remove the existing report and upload the new report file name.
    Please provide me some codes on how to do this task. This is definitely a "WIN" - "WIN" effort and contribution to my Team Goals.
    P.S. This is a similar scenario when you are uploading report on BO Enterprise R2 CMC.
    When Uploading a new report to a folder but same report file name exists, the BO System will promt message "Report File Name" already exists. Do you want to Overwrite it?" If Yes, then system will overwrite the file but it will keep the history and recurring objects.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Folder names with diacritics & NFS shares

    OK; sometimes things appear simple but are not. Sharing files with an OSX client has been, and is a nightmare in a Linux environment.
    We have a mostly Ubuntu environment and have tried Samba, and NFS. After a significant amount of work the Mac can do stable NFS Mounts provided the following unconventional settings are implemented:
    In the /etc/exports file on the Ubuntu server:
    /some/catalog/to/export 192.168.0.0/24(rw,sync,nosubtree_check,allsquash,anonuid=1000,anongid=1000,insecure)
    - anonuid needs to be user ID of the user on the server that is the owner of the catalog
    - anongid needs to be group ID of the group on the server that is the primary group for of the catalog
    On the Mac in Disk Utility/File/NFS Mounts:
    - Enter the correct paths
    - click "Advanced" and fill in: resvport,nolocks,locallocks,intr,soft,wsize=32768,rsize=32768
    This finally let's you mount the share
    However, after using the share for a while we discovered that folder names on the share that contains diacritic characters, including characters å,ä,ö and Å,Ä,Ö did not display in the file listing in Finder (In Path Finder Folder names are replaced with " -- "), nor could the folder be opened. However, right-clicking the " -- " in Path Finder and selecting "Get info" did display the correct path to the folder and did display the diacritic characters in the path correctly.
    In a catalog containing 264 folders that all had the same owner and the same group & permissions, 94 did not display properly in OSX/Finder and none could be opened. All 94 contained one or more diacritic characters (åäö or ÅÄÖ). None of the 170 others did contain any diacritics. Spaces, and e.g. "&" does not cause problems.
    With an Ubuntu client I can NFS mount the same server, and I do get the folder names displayed correctly and I can open the folders. It appears likely there is a bug in OSX - likely in Finder/Path Finder, since the correct path name is displayed in "Get Info".

    Gave up on this and downloaded Interarchy (RBrowser seems similar). This is not NFS and not Samba; rather FTP over SSH (SFTP). Secure, even for remote access and works out of the box, like breeze. All access rights intact . And there is a preview of file, rather that open on remote server...

  • Site Index Portlet and Folder names with quotes

    Hi,
    I don't know if anyone else has hit this problem with the site index portlet, but it fails to render when the page group contains a page with a quote >'< in the page name.
    This is an issue particularly using O Drive and 10.1.4 portal, as the page name and page display name both get set to the folder name & windows alows quotes in folder names.
    The portlet code escapes the display name, but not the page URL. In 10.1.4 the URL has the page name in it, including any quotes, so the URL needs to be escaped too.
    This is achieved by modifying the code in site_index_tree.process_tree. Have a look how l_title_enc is set & do the same for the l_link value. l_link_enc := replace(l_link, '''', '\''');
    Comments and suggestions welcome.
    Cheers,
    David

    Hi
    to avoid this problem I'm afraid that you have to avoid quotes from your pages names.
    Quotes in URL are not supported by navigators so you can't use them for pages names (but,as you said you can use for display names).
    A possible workaround is to modify the render_tree method, replacing URL by permanent links.
    Your url http://myportal/page/portal/page/apage/anotherpage/namewithquote will be replaced by something like :
    http://myportal/page/portal/page/54564F654SD5F4SD56F4SD564FS
    Hope this will help

  • Folder names with scaling

    I am developing a windows store app for 8.1. I have included various resources in the application and want to use different resources for each resolution. So I followed Microsoft
    documentation link which states the usage of scaled images. I put all my images in Images folder and named them as
    Images.scale-120 for 480x800
    Images.scale-160 for 720x1280
    Images.scale-240 for 1080x1920
    devices. But after I deleted my initial Folder and used only these folders no images were shown. So my question is how to name folders as per scaling and use these in windows store app.

    Hi Rohit,
    It looks like you're using the qualified files syntax to try to create qualified folders. This won't work: the syntax is different. See
    How to name resources using qualifiers for details.
    The standard naming convention is
    foldername/qualifiername-value_qualifiername-value/filename.qualifiername-value_qualifiername-value.ext
    For your Image folders, create a subfolder named for the qualifier rather than appending the qualifier to the folder name:
    Images/scale-100/foo.png
    Images/scale-140/foo.png
    Images/scale-180/foo.png
    Images/scale-240/foo.png
    or
    Images/foo.scale-100.png
    Images/foo.scale-140.png
    Images/foo.scale-180.png
    Images/foo.scale-240.png
    Also note that the valid scales are slightly different for Windows Phone and for Windows Store apps, and they are based on the DPI not the raw resolution (1080x1920 could be low DPI on a large monitor or high DPI on a small one). See the scaling plateaus
    at
    Scaling to pixel density and
    Choosing your app images . The specific values you had don't match either.

  • Looking for a name with special character

    Hi Gurus,
    In our HR system we use multiple language (eg: polish, french, german, english, finns, ...).  All those languages have some specific characters, like german with ß.
    When we use the search help to looking for someone, it seems that only people who have the special character on their keyboard can find directly the correct name.
    For example :
    If I use a german keyboard I can found an employe by completed the correct last name wich contain eg ß .
    if I don t use a german keyboard I have to put a * where the specific characters is.
    I would like to know if somehow it were possible to customize the system in order to do not need to enter a * but the correspondant singular letter.  Is there any function for converting a special character to a singular one to activated ?
    Thank you for all your help
    Best regards
    Hadrien

    indexOf() is used to find where a character or substring appears in a
    given string. What you probably need is charAt() which finds out which
    character is at a given position. Like this:private JTextField reportNameText;
    // something needs to be put in the text field here
    String reportName = reportNameText.getText();
    if(reportName.charAt(0) == ' ') {
            // printing a space isn't a lot of good...
        //System.out.println("first character is"+reportName.indexOf(0));
        System.out.println("first character is a space");
        JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(null,"Report Name should not start with Space", "", JOptionPane.PLAIN_MESSAGE);
    }An even better condition might beif(Character.isWhitespace(reportName.charAt(0))) {This checks for other sorts of space.
    The String methods are described here:

  • AppleScript Folder names with spaces

    Hello,
    I have been working on somethings in AppleScript and came accross one problem.
    How do I remove folders that have spaces in their name.
    The method I use is by using a terminal command as shown below.
    do shell script "rm ~/Desktop/This is the folder/"
    I would have come into an error saying
    error "rm: /Desktop/This: No such file or directory
    rm: is: No such file or directory
    rm: the: No such file or directory
    rm: folder: No such file or directory" number 1
    I have tried Googling and found this.
    do shell script "rm ~/Desktop/This\ is\ the\ folder/"
    but have came up with this syntax error.
    Expected “"” but found unknown token.
    Please help me with this issue. If there is another method, without using the do shell script command, maybe telling Finder to delete the folder?, please suggest.

    Neil gave the correct answer (though I would have used System Events to do the same thing).  But to address the problem you're having with the rm command...  In applescript the backslash character is an escape character.  It's used when you want to have literal quotes in a text string, e.g.
    set txt to "Senator McCain said \"Nerf Balls!\" in a press conference yesterday."
    Since the backslash is an escape character in applescript, you need to escape it as well if you want a literal backslash:
    do shell script "rm ~/Desktop/This\\ is\\ the\\ folder/"
    personally, I always single quotes where I can in do shell scripts because the double backslash looks weird, but...

  • INX file has trouble linking to folder names with certain characters?

    Hi!
    For technical reasons we have two folders and they have ”%0” at the end of their names.
    This seems to case problems for InDesign files that are saved using the interchange (INX) format – upon opening they complain about links to pictures that are in these folders. I can see that the links point to ”Logotypes” and ”Illustrations” when they should point to ”Logotypes%0” and ”Illustrations%0”.
    Anything that can be done?
    The links work fine when opening a ”normal” InDesign document that point to these folders.

    Hey Bob and thanks for your reply!
    Sounds like a good ideas, but what shall I change it to? In the .inx file I opened the path is ”correct” with the ”%0” at the end.
    I noticed now the problem is when opening the .inx file in InDesign 6 (CS4).
    The .inx file is created in InDesign 5 (CS3) and when opening it in InDesign CS4 the link problem with these folders occurs.
    If I open the .inx files in InDesign CS3 there's no problem with the links.

  • IronPort WSA with Authentication unable to access 2 character domain names with 2 character TLDNs

    I've discovered an issue requiring user authentication and some of the short url sites likes e2.ma will not load in Internet Explorer explicitly configured to go through an IronPort WSA. In testing with bogus domains (a.to, aa.to) it seems the issue is if the domain name is 1-2 characters and the top level domain name is also 2 characters long. Longer domains (aaa.to) work and return an IronPort error for DNS_FAIL. Does anyone know of a workaround to not have to allow all these as unauthenticated destinations?

    Support pointed me towards that KB article as well, but it is for IE 5 (and fixed in IE 6), but IE 8+ uses a TLD list from Microsoft (visible by using res://urlmon.dll/ietldlist.xml) and I don't control the external website. I'm going to try using an IP address surrogate instead of session cookies for these domains and see if that resolves this.

  • Get character of folder name preceding a character., get character of folder name preceding a character.

    set theFolderName to "Macintosh HD:Users:user:Desktop:Landscapes_WK30_PSD"
    set theCharacters to characters of theFolderName
    using the above how can I extract the digits that preceed the _WK I know I can get the first x number of characters but that number varies so it needs to be everything before _WK

    Indeed easier than i thought, assuming i haven't got the long way about it,

  • How to invoke a report by name instead of ID?

    Hello,
    We have developed several shared reports which are invoked from other applications. In Active Studio we select the Report and use "Copy Shortcut" option in left menu to get a web link such this:
    http://work/oraclebam/ReportServer/default.aspx?Event=ViewReport&ReportDef=4&Buttons=False
    We have two environments: a development and production. We are exporting reports in development and importing in production (using icommand), but ids change everytime, so the parameter above (ReportDef) is not the same as before and we have to re-custom all apps again. The problem is we have several (200+) reports and takes a long time to update all reports, tests and so on.
    Any idea if is possible calling a report by name instead of ID?
    Thank you too much,
    Rogério

    Hi All
    1. In ORABAM Schema, all the Report details are stored in Tables like SysIterReport, SysIterDataset, SysIterParameter, SysIterParameterValue.
    2. Most important Table is SysIterReport. It has "SysIterName" which is Report full name with full path like "/public/Report/MyXyzApp/MyXyzReport1" and "SysIterID". This SysIterID is the Report ID.
    3. So simple Query above table to get all the SysIterIDs for the matching  SysIterName. From returned rows, simple extract last part of the name which is like unique Report name. Now you have a mapping of Report Name versus the Report Id from that OraBAM Schema in that Environment like Qc, UAT or production.
    Select SysIterID, SysIterName from SysIterReport where SysIterName like '%MyXyzApp%'.
    4. I would recommend to create like separate folders for separate bpm projects deployed on same domain. And put that application specific data objects and reports in that folder itself.
    From Java side very simple. On BPM Domain with Oracle BAM configuration, you already have a DataSource that connects to ORABAM Schema by name "BAMDataSource-jdbc.xml" under config/jdbc folder. This XML File has all orabam schema details and also JNDI Name like "jdbc/oracle/bam/adc". Write a simple Java Program. Do JNDI lookup using this datasource name. And from that get connection object. Run above query and get rows back. Build a simple WebPage, and build a dynamic URL as shown below. BamServer host and BamServer Port can be put in a properties file to make it more dynamic. And each environment will have .properties file with those details. Or simple put the below URL as it is which is different for each environment.
    http://bamserverhost:bamserverport/OracleBAM/reportserver/default.jsp?Event=viewReport&ReportDef=
    In the Java code, simple get above url and append the ReportId. And on UI for each URL, show the Report Name. Simple speaking, once you get Rows from SysIterReport table, on java side create a HashMap with ReportName and ReportLink (generated as shown above). And on UI, loop through this Map and show name and link.
    One final thing. If the Java code is deployed to SOA_Server, make sure that the BAMDatasource is deployed to SOA Server also. By default BAMDataSource is targetted only to BAM Server. But java code or ui code is on Soa server. So simple target bam data source to soa source also from Weblogic Console.
    This will WORK and I have already done this. Users will see more user friendly Links on my Task Details page. And clicking on them takes them to the BAM Reports.
    Thanks
    Ravi Jegga
