XL Reporter Patch 30

I'm currently using SAP Business One 2005A PL4 and I've just upgraded my Excel to 2007. Since then my XL Reporter cannot works. I learn from the XL Reporter Group that XL Reporter Addon Patch30 works fine with Excel 2007. And i successfully installed XL Reporter. But I can't start the XL Reporter.
Is it got to do with my SAP being in PL4 and XL Reporter in PL30? Do I need to upgrade the DIAPI to make it works? I do not want to upgrade my SAP to PL30 thou...

Hi
The issue you described seems to be related to a DI API version
mismatch. Please take the following steps to ensure XL Reporter is
using the same DI API version as the Business One client patch level:
1.  Locate the Temp folder by going to Start -> Run and type %temp%.
2.  Locate the SM_OBS_DLL folder here and delete it.
3.  Uninstall the DI API from Add/Remove Programs.
4.  Reboot your PC.
5.  Install the DI API from the current patch level of Business One.
However, if this does not resolve your issue, please reinstall the
Business One client as XL Reporter is now a part of the core product
and can not be reinstalled separately.
In cases of run-time errors, a reinstallation of XLR will often
resolve the issue.

  • Reports Patch

I am currently running reports 3.0.5.8.0 and require the patch that fixes Bugs 634177,943068 to take it to 3.0.5.9.0. Where can I find this patch. I looked for Oracle Reports patches on this site and there were none. This is in relation to running reports on different oracle instances.

  • Reports Patch Set 2  (11.1.1.2.0 - 11.1.1.3.0 )

    Hi,
Installing the patchset on linux works fine.
On windows, it seems reports is stuck with version 11.1.1.2.0 !
    What we did :
    - Install WLS 10.3.3 (generic)
    - Install Forms & Reports Services 11.1.1.2.0
    - Install Patchset 2 ( 11.1.1.3.0 )
    - Run ..Oracle\Middleware\as_1\bin\config.bat
    On windows server 2008 R2 64-bit:
    Visiting http.../reports/rwservlet/showenv shows version 11.1.1.*2*.0
    Enterprise Manager show version 11.1.1.2.0
    Visiting http.../forms/frmservlet shows version 11.1.1.*3*.0
Running the same installation sequence on linux shows correct version numbers everywhere ( 11.1.1.3.0 ).
    My question is :
Is this just a "display" issue? Was the patch correctly applied?
Edited by: wi**** on 18-mei-2011 6:40

    Hello,
yes, this is just a "display" issue :
Oracle Reports Shows 11.1.1.2 In Fusion Middleware ( EM ) Control After Applying Patchset 2 or Higher (Doc ID 1181094.1)
Reports Servlet getserverinfo Command Returns 11.1.1.2.0 After Having Applied the Patch Set 2 (11.1.1.3.0) (Doc ID 1133494.1)

  • Desktops are not reporting, patches cause WSUS to fail to operate properly (and still desktops don't report)

I'm running WSUS 3.0 SP2 (3.2.7600.226) on Windows 2008R2 with SQL Server 2008R2 Standard (Max db size 524,272 terabytes)
I am not using SSL for updates, nor to contact my upstream server.
I have rebuilt this server four times since Feb 5.  This may be related to the problem
When I look at the computers, it indicates none of them are responding (one was, but it has since stopped).  In the last rebuild, I created a test OU in my AD and applied group policy to only computers in that OU.  so right now i'm managing one
    computer, it is not responding.
Using information gleaned from this article (http://community.spiceworks.com/topic/372404-wsus-some-clients-fail-to-report-status-please-help) I
    tried the following:
    clientdiag.exe reported no errors
    group policy is being enforced
I can browse to 8530 on my WSUS server from the client machine
I removed the susclientid and susclientidvalid registry keys and ran wuauclt /resetauthorization. The keys repopulated a couple times, but the most recent time, they did not.
I show that the selfupdate url works (in windowsupdate.log)
My WindowsUpdate.log for a wuauclt /detectnow complains of

I found several articles telling me to install KB272011 and/or 2734608, but when i install them, WSUS has a stroke (i can't synchronize, i cant view synchronization history, i can't run any reports, i can't remove the updates and while i can find
workarounds for 272011, they don't work for 2734608). So right now i do not have them installed. I am fresh from the first synchronization with one computer being managed.
I've additionally tested the urls for SimpleAuthWebService and ReportingWebService that are logged in the WindowsUpdate log and SimpleAuthWebService loads in the browser, ReportingWebService claims it is set to remote only so it throws an error, but it responds.
Are there perhaps other, newer patches for wsus that would solve my signature validation problem?  Do I have to jump up and down on one leg while holding my nose and applying the patches to keep them from giving my WSUS server a stroke?  (I followed
the directions here most recently (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2734608) and the result was as described.  Synchronization history crashes wsus, running a report crashes wsus)
Is the failure to validate the signature related to the failure to re-create the susclientid and susclientidvalid keys?
    Thanks

I have applied this patch.  The desktop is not reporting but it is reporting a new error (see below)
I now have two computers being managed, the wsus server itself which is reporting, and the
I added the wsus server to the computers list using gpo and that server is reporting. As mentioned, the desktop is still not reporting but is reporting a new error.
Here is the contents of windowsupdatel.log.  I am researching the error code, but haven't yet found a solution.

  • Does Financial Reporting Studio need to be uninstalled before patching?

    Hi Guys,
Moving forward on my patch plan, I am stuck again, this time with the ambiguity in the documentation. I am trying to apply the Financial Reporting Patch 13997553. While going through the documentation, I found two ambiguous statements. In step2, the doc says that I need to uninstall the FR studio (Doesnt say on which machine I need to uninstall). Later in step9, it says, on FR studio Machines, uninstall the FR studio.
As per my assumption, in step2, I have to uninstall it from the Server and in Step9 I need to unistall it from my local machine. But the document never talked about re-installing the FR studio on server. What am I missing here?
    Help appreciated. Thanks!
Here's part of readme which confused me -
    APPLYING THE PATCH_
The section includes important information about applying this patch for Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting, Fusion Edition.
    To apply this patch:
    1. Shut down all services and servlet instances related to the Oracle Hyperion EPM Release 11.1.2.2.00 installation.
    2. Uninstall the Financial Reporting Studio by going to Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs, and then uninstall Financial Reporting Studio.*
    3. On On the Financial Reporting server machines; Download and unzip the downloaded patch file, <PATCH FILE NAME>.zip, to the <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>/OPatch directory (by default, Oracle/Middleware/EPMSystem11R1/OPatch).
NOTE: <PATCH FILE NAME>.zip is the name that My Oracle Support assigns to this patch. When you download the file, a message indicates the file name.
    4. On On the Financial Reporting server machines, from a command line, change the directory to <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>/OPatch.
    5. To apply the patch, enter the following command on one line:
    Windows:
    opatch.bat apply <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>/OPatch/<PATCH DIRECTORY> -oh <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>
    -jdk <MIDDLEWARE_HOME>/jdk160_29
NOTE: The default for <EPM_ORACLE_HOME> is C:/Oracle/Middleware/EPMSystem11R1. The default for <MIDDLEWARE_HOME> is C:/Oracle/Middleware.
    UNIX/Linux:
    ./opatch apply <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>/OPatch/<PATCH DIRECTORY> -oh <EPM_ORACLE_HOME> -jdk <MIDDLEWARE_HOME>/jdk160_29 -invPtrLoc <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>/oraInst.loc
NOTE: The default for <EPM_ORACLE_HOME> is $HOME/Oracle/Middleware/EPMSystem11R1. The default for <MIDDLEWARE_HOME> is $HOME/Oracle/Middleware.
    6. Delete the Financial Reporting precompiled jsp files located at: <ORACLE_HOME>\Middleware\user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\precompiled\hr
    7. Restart Oracle Hyperion EPM services and servlets.
    8. All users should now clear cached files from their browsers.
“For WebSphere deployments, you must use EPM System Configurator to redeploy the Web application.”
    9. On the Financial Reporting Studio machines; Uninstall the Financial Reporting Studio by going to Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs, and then uninstall Financial Reporting Studio.*
    10. Connect to the EPM Workspace machine that was patched in Step 3. Download the Financial Reporting Studio installer from the EPM Workspace menu: From the Tools menu, select Install and then select Financial Reporting Studio and then launch the installer. Follow the installation guide to install the Financial Reporting Studio to the location you want.
    11. All users should now clear cached files from their browsers.

    JohnGoodwin wrote:

You will find that it is installed by going to the start menu - Oracle - Financial Reporting StudioSo if i got you right,
-I need to uninstall the FR studio from all the machines (including the server).
    -Apply the Patch.
    -Install FR studio back again
And this whole process has nothing to do with Financial Reporting Web App.
    Thanks!

  • ORACLE REPORTS TEAM - Patch 3 / 4 etc.

Question to:- ORACLE REPORTS TEAM -
You have mentioned to apply Patch 3 and 4 for different types of issues in the past.
Our DBA Team says these patches are NOT compatible with DESIGNER 6i. (which we use).
How can we overcome this problem???
    null

    hello,
in this case, the best way to proceed is to contact oracle support services and work out a way with them.
they have all the information about certifications between designer and reports patches.
    regards,
    the oracle reports team

  • 2.2.1 patch

    All,
Here's a new unsanctioned, etc. patch to play with. This release looks
pretty solid, but there are a couple of largeish changes. In particular,
connections to the database are being reused a little bit more now, and
    parts of makeDirty() have changed.
    Changes since 2.2.1 include:
    * Resolved a situation in which the number of connections needed to
load a single object from the data store was proportional to the
depth of persistence-capable fields in the tree of default fetch
groups. That is, if A has a relation to B called b, and B has a
relation to C called c, and b is in A's default fetch group, and c
is in B's default fetch group, then three connections were needed
in order to load an A.
    * Added a duplicate column check to INSERT and UPDATE SQL
statements. If a duplicate column name is encountered and the
values are also duplicates, then Kodo removes one of the duplicate
entries from the SQL statement. If duplicates are found and the
values differ, a JDOUserException is thrown. This is useful when
performing a schema mapping to a data store in which a primary key
is used as a foreign key for joining into other tables, and other
situations when a single column is used as the data source for
    multiple JDO fields.
         * Fixed the java-sql type mapping so that instances of ProxyDate (a
subclass of java.util.Date) is understood to be equivalent to
java.util.Date objects. This fixes a problem in which certain
queries with Date parameters would fail because the underlying
field contained a class of type ProxyDate.
         * Fixed obscure bug in makeDirty(). If using data store transactions
and setting a JDO field without first having loaded the field
(either implicitly by having the field in the default fetch group,
or explictly), then the field would not be set when
         InstanceCallbacks.jdoPostLoad() was invoked. Additionally,
nontransactionalRead must have been set to true for this problem
         to occur.
    * In certain web application server setups, queries failed because
of class path issues. Resolved this problem by using the context's
class loader rather than the system class loader.
    * Added writeReplace() methods to the ProxyXXX classes to fix issues
with serialization of objects retrieved from data stores.
    * Fixed bug in which jdoNewInstance(StateManager,Object) method was
only being added to base application identity classes.
    * Improved lots of error messages.
Contrary to an earlier posting, the algorithm for parsing the XML .jdo
files and determining which fields to persist has not been changed. As a
result, we are incorrectly making all fields mentioned in the XML .jdo
file persistent rather than just those that pass the persistent tests
mentioned in section 18.4 of the JDO PFD. We will resolve this
discrepancy in a future release. We would like to first create a tool
for identifying problematic .jdo entries, since we anticipate that
resolving this bug will cause a number of headaches for people with
currently functioning but invalid .jdo files.
    Enjoy,
    -Patrick

  • Running 5.5 U2e and VUM will no longer download software packages from patch source?

We had a vSphere 5.5 cluster configured for us by a 3rd-party through Dell as part of our purchase agreement. We are running vCenter Server 5.5 U2e on Windows 2012 R2 as a physical host. It does run Update Manager. In my most recent check today, Update Manager will scan a host and report patches that are needed. In this case we're at 5.5.0 Build 2456374 on our ESXi hosts. Update Manager detects 5 missing patches. After I put the host in maintenance mode, I remediate, select the patch group, and proceed through the screens. It starts its process and goes from 0% to 16% to 25% then sits there for about 1–3 minutes, then goes to 90%, 91%, and errors out saying:
"Cannot download software packages from patch source. Check the events and the Update Manager log for download details."
    Multiple strange things:
This server was updating just fine a few months back when some previous patches were released.
It can see the internet just fine. No firewall issues.
Our failover site on the same network, but in a different location in the city is able to update just fine. Same hardware, network, and software versions.
Any ideas on where to look or what to try? I had gone ahead and update from vCenter Server 5.5 U2b to U2e (along with a VUM reinstall) hoping that would fix it, but it did not. Any help would be greatly appreciated, because we're not VMware experts and thought everything was set up correctly by the vendor. We were given a small amount of knowledge transfer, but nothing that would allow us to troubleshoot this.
The Update Manager config listed in vCenter Server points to just three sources, that look to be the default from hostupdate.vmware.com and vapp-updates.vmware.com. None of the settings have been changed from the initial install and configuration that were working at one point in the last few months (when I last patched the hosts to 2456374).
Looking through the vmware-vum-server-log4cpp.log I see these failures:

Well, apparently this patch / vib was pulled after release, based on issues with "VMware NSX for vSphere 6.x or Cisco Nexus 1000v" as seen in KB2116370: VMware KB: After upgrading to VMware ESXi 5.5 Patch Release ESXi550-201504002, virtual machines using VMware NSX for…
Ok, that's cool. But here's my question then. Why is Update Manager still reporting that it's an available patch for our ESXi hosts? I'm new to this and am just trying to get an understanding to avoid confusion like this in the future.
    [UPDATE]
Looks like this was the problem. VMwareCares Twitter account confirmed that Update Manager needed a new repository query to grab the new metadata. After rescanning the ESXi host again, the number of available patches dropped from 5 to 1. I'm now successfully patching the ESXi hosts through Update Manager once again. Crisis avoided.

  • Patch Oracle 9.2.0.6 on linux with Jan 2006 CPU - inventory not updated

    Hi,
We have tried to apply the Jan 2006 CPU (4751921) patch to Oracle 9.2.0.6 running on linux (redhat AS 4). The Apply log reports:
Patch 4751921 has been applied successfully.
... but then when trying to Update inventory it reports:
INVENTORY PROBLEM: Patch 4751921 is not present in Oracle Home inventory.
OPATCH_JAVA_ERROR: Patch was not successfully applied.
    Verification of the patch failed.
ERROR: OPatch failed as verification of the patch failed.
This seems like the patch has been applied, but it can't update the inventory.
Followed the preinstall steps regarding the "Inventory Problem", including running checkinv.pl to clean up the inventory. This does clean up the dangling inventory.
Reran the opatch for 4751921, same output.
Tried running: opatch apply -verbose for 4751921, and it reports that the patch was succesful, no complaints about the inventory; yet an: opatch lsinventory does not show 4751921.
Without the inventory being correct, presumably we will continue to have problems like this with future patches; but the software has been patched and seems to run fine.
Any way to rebuild the inventory file?
    thanks.

We had a similar (but not the same) error and we were suggested by Oracle to set the following environment variables before running opatch:
    export OPATCH_DEBUG=YES
    export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$ORACLE_HOME/lib
    export SHLIB_PATH=$ORACLE_HOME/lib32
    export SHLIB_PATH=$ORACLE_HOME/jre/1.4.2/lib/PA_RISC:$SHLIB_PATH
    export SHLIB_PATH=$ORACLE_HOME/jre/1.4.2/lib/PA_RISC/server:$SHLIB_PATH
    cd <patch directory>
    opatch apply -jdk /opt/java1.4
The directories may be different depending on implementation, o/s. etc.
    Regards,
    Chandan

  • Parameter drop down issue in XI Rel. 2 report viewed with XI Rel. 1

I've modified a report (originally created in Rel. 1) with Rel. 2.  I've modified the one parameter.  Everything works fine when viewing the report in Rel. 2.  When I send the report to someone with Rel. 1, they get the parameter screen with a blank text box and the name of the value element defined for the parameter in the upper right hand portion of the parameter screen.
If they click okay, that parameter screen is replaced with the correct one - that displays a dropdown and doesn't have the parameter value element displayed.
The same is happening with other reports I'm working on.  Short of upgrading everyone to Rel. 2 (which is likely not a viable option), any suggestions?

    Hi
Please provide the exact version and patch level of Rel. 1 that the users are working on.
Version : You can find this infrmaion at HELP>>About Crystal Reports
    Patch Level : C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Crystal Reports 11\Patches\History.txt
    - Also, are you and the rest of the users opening these reports within crystal report designer application direcly?
    - What happens if they create new reports at their end which include parameters in them.Does the same thing occur for these reports also?

Is there any relation ship between .net framework with VS 2005 ? I think when installing SQL 2005, it is included VS and .net framework.
