XL Reporter toolbar constantly disabled

On a Windows Terminal Server 2008, I can't seem to get XLR to run.
The installation seems to work OK and I can use the compsor window without a problem. It is just when I click on the Generate window that Excel fires up OK and it seems to try and run, but just stops.
Then if you try to click on the Refresh icon (the one with the lightning bolt) you can't as the complete XLR toolbar in Excel is disabled.
The toolbar is visible, but you can't use it.
I am wondering if it is a DCOM permissions issue. I have logged it with SAP and searched the notes, but to no avail.
Anyone else seen this?

Hi John,
Somewhere I read in SDN if we uninstall and then install DIAPI then it works.
You need to just then activate the Addon from Addon Administration and then start from addon manager.

Crystal Report Toolbar images not displaying properly in IE?

Hi,
I am using VisualStudio 2012 ,crystal report version 13.0.2000.0 and sp5.
My problem is that after loading crystal report, toolbar image icons (such as print,export etc) are not showing properly in internet explorer(version ie10). But it is displaying correctly in chrome and firefox.
What could be problem ?? Any help will be appreciated ..

Also, don't forget to do your own searches - search box is in top right corner and simple search strings are best. E.g.; 'Crystal net red x'.

"Edit Report" option getting disabled on saving the report in BPC 10.0

I have created input schedules using "Edit Report" functionality in BPC 10.0 NW, added a few buttons and corresponding VB code and tested the input schedule by sending data and running data manager package. Everything is working fine. After that I saved the input schedule and closed the Excel. On reopening the excel Add-in and the input schdule, the "Edit report" option becomes disabled and refresh and other functionalities available for the report get disabled. I have faced this issue a couple of times. Has anybody else faced this issue? Can someone let me know the resolution to this problem?

This is probably happening because the report/input schedules is not getting connected. Please check the connections once.
Also if you had named the report in "Edit Report" earlier, say for example "Sales Report", once the report is open you should be able to see this name on the EPM context pane, right side under Current Report: Connected to "Your Model" and below that in the drop down the default selection should be "Sales Report". This means that the report is connected and the Edit Report option is active.

30EA1 - Report Toolbar Disappears

When I change the connection being used by a report, the report toolbar disappears (Pin, Refresh, Refresh Frequency, Connection). The only way to get it back seem to be to close the report and reopen it.

This is a known issue and were working on it. It will be corrected in EA2...

Why is Norton Toolbar still disabled even with updated Norton Identity Safe Toolbar in FF 19.0.2?

I have FF 19.0.2 installed with Norton Internet Security 2013 at my office. Both the Norton Identity Safe Toolbar and Norton Toolbar are updated and working fine. At home, I am using the exact same FF 19.0.2 with the exact same Norton Internet Security 2013 but only the Norton Identity Safe Toolbar is enabled. The Norton Toolbar (shows older version of 1.0.32), however, is disabled. I have tried a Norton Live Update numerous times and have even uninstalled FF 19 and re-installed it. Nothing works. I cannot get the Norton Toolbar enabled. And until I get it enabled I cannot use Norton Identity Safe. This is very frustrating!

That's the problem. I should be using Norton Toolbar version 2013.3.1.3 but it is 2013.1.0.32. I see no way I can manually update it. I do a Live Update but the version doesn't update. I tried re-starting the system, uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox 19.02 (latest version) but nothing works. Extremely frustrating. I even tried going back to FF 18 and even that says that the installed Norton Toolbar 2013.1.0.32 is not compatible. :(
I do believe this IS a Firefox issue. The Toolbar is disabled and Norton support says I just need to click on Enable. Problem is, there is no Enable option. It's just disabled. VERY frustrating!

Message Mappings - Object Toolbar is disabled (off)

Hi everyone,
I have installed the Process Integration 7.0, i am executing without problem.
But when I create a new Message Mapping, i have one problem.
In Message Mapping Editor, the "Object Toolbar" appears as disabled (off)
The buttons "Map Selected Fields and Substructures, Clear Mapping, Data-Flow Editor, Text Preview, Mapping Templates Used and Dependencies" are disabled (off) in screen.
Can anybody help me?

My Yahoo and Norton toolbars were disabled when I updated today and they did not reset. They no longer appear in the drop down view menu. How do I reset them?

I was asked to update my Firefox today. The prompts said the yahoo and norton toolbars would be disabled during the update and ENABLED after. They did not reset and do not appear in view drop down menu. How to I reset the toolbars? I am a novice user please be as simple as possible.

Any option for Pdf toolbar is disable

Hi,
The website that I'm developing opens PDF files on clicking links. These PDF files have their copy, print and save disabled using PDF security options. Still, on displaying the files in browser plugin, save button is enable. Is there anyway to disable the menu item using javascript. Or is there a way we can hide menubar and toolbar of the reader programmatically?

Note that as soon as you send the PDF file to the client, there's no way to stop him from saving it somewhere as long as the user is tech-savvy and motivated enough. So any "solution" to your problem would only raise the "clue barrier", i.e. make it harder to save, but never make it impossible.
That's probably the reason why the PDF plugin never disables the save button.

ALV Report Toolbar

Hey All,
in my ALV report I am not able to see standard toolbar. I have copied the same using SE80 and when I check my program in SE80 it shows the Standard Toolbar to be there. Can someone help me how to add the same.
Also I am using standard function based ALV report and in that I need to add additional button once my report is visible. I know this question may have been asked upteen time. But I am not able to resolve the above two problems so if someone can help me it will be great help.

My first problem of toolbar not visible has been solved. Now In the toolbar copied in my code I added a button and labeled it as inactive" I would like to call a function on click of it which will do the further processing. The code snippets which I have used are as follows:

SAP Crystal report toolbar doesn't appear

I have Crystal report which looks like below in browser window i want to design the crystal report .
I didn't want the group tree to show .
And the toolbar doesn't show in the top of the browser.
And i also need the watermark image in the center of the report.
Please guide me to correct these.

Please post the watermark question as a new Discussion.
To hide the group tree, go to File > Report Options > uncheck the "Show Preview Panel" option.
To show the toolbar, try changing the viewer in InfoView preferences.

XL Reporter - Toolbar is missing needed for "Generate Report"

Hello - I am going thru the eLearning for XL Reporter.
I have opened a template in XL reporter and I want to "Generate Report", however the toolbar shown in eLearning is not visible.

The toolbar often stays hidden when opening XL Reporter. An easy way to get it to appear is to resize a column in the spreadsheet. For whatever reason, this always makes it pop up for me.
You could also turn it on in Excel:
View > Toolbars
There should be one for XL Reporter at the bottom
Uncheck it and then recheck it
That will force it to appear as well
I believe your Excel Macro Security has something to do with this issue, but have never nailed it down.

Reporting Service option disabled on Connect-Object Explorer Management Studio Express

I have Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 11.0.2100.60 with Data Tools for Visual Studio 2012 installed on Windows 8 ver 6.3
I try to connect to a Reporting Services on my network, but when I click Connect on Object Explorer left panel, I can see Database, and Azure enabled, but Reporting Services, Integration Services and Analysis Service disabled.

Based on my understanding, you want to connect to the reporting services in SSMSE. However, when you click Connect button on Object Explorer pane, Reporting Services, Integration Services and Analysis Service are disabled.
SSMSE cannot manage Analysis Services, Integration Services, or Reporting Services. Since you install SSMSE in your environment, the result is expected. Please refer to Features in SSMSE section of this article:
SQL Server Management Studio Express.
In your scenario, since you want to manage reporting services in SSMS, I would recommend you download and install Express with Advanced Services from this link:
Express with Advanced Services. When downloading, please choose ENU\x64\SQLEXPRADV_x64_ENU.exe. Or you can install other edition of SQL Server 2012 except Express edition.

Report formatting get disabled with Pagestream=yes

I am using Oracle Report Builder 10.1.2.0.2
my Reports are displayed correctly without Pagestream,
but when i putted "Pagestream=yes" in link, then the formatting of the pages get distorted. please help me out

The PAGESTREAM keyword enables or disables page streaming (pagination) for the report when formatted as HTML or HTMLCSS output, using the navigation controls set by the report developer. rwbuilder cannot use this keyword.
You may want to refer to Appendix A in the Oracle Application Server Reports Services Publishing Reports to the Web manual to know which executables can use the PAGESTREAM keyword. This manual is available on OTN:http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/reports.html

Report Viewer control disabled in aspx page

Hi All,
I am trying to generate a report with data pulled from one of a SharePoint list and binding it to report viewer control. The binding happens fine through code. Page is actually a layout based and deployed to one of folder in layouts and in the
same folder the rdlc file resides. But when the aspx page is opened in SharePoint site, the report viewer control appears as disabled. We are using visual studio 2012 and SharePoint 2013 setup to generate the report. Does anyone have idea how to fix this
issue

You can get the report viewer disabled if scripts aren't enabled.
Check your browser settings.
I should imagine if the correct scripts aren't served with the control for whatever reason then the same problem could occur.
You might want to consider posting the question on the sharepoint forum. I know configuring SharePoint is notoriously tricky and that might be your issue here.
But I don't do sharepoint.
