XL Reporter - UDF

Hi all,
I have made some user defined fields on the business partner and some marketing document.
I want in XL-Reporter Composer to show the UDF, anybody know how to do that?
Thanks in advance.

I have been trying this all afternoon and I can't get my new fields to actually show up.
I followed the steps, assigned 4 new User Defined Fields, and set them to visible. I set the two numerical fields to MEASURES and the two date fields to LIGHT DIMENSIONS. However, after exiting and restarting XL Reporter, I still cannot find the 4 fields in the data area.
Can anyone help? Suda? Jimmy?
[incidentally I am doing this in the test system, which has more accessibility than the main system. Also I have successfully created reports in XL R before trying this]

  • XL Report UDF naming conflict

Hi, we have a UDF named "Comments" on the Sales Quotation header OQUT.
When in xl reporter all UDF's are included, this one is left out.
I think it's left out as there's 2 "Remarks" fields under Sales A/R. One of these remarks has a field name called "Comments", the same as our UDF. Looks like this has caused our UDF not be be shown.
Anyone know a solution? Where are there XL reporter UDF links stored, a DB table?
It used to be visible ok but i think we had added so many UDF's that xlreporter had named them with an _number. Now that we have upgraded SAP B1 all UDF names have been reset, hence the name conflict on comments.
Any help on this would be great, thank you
    Adam

Thanks, yeah looks like i cannot rename it,
However i guess, if it comes to it, we can make another field and copy from one to the other then remove the old one.
I have a feeling also that if we create another UDF, then make this visible in XL Reporter, it may automatically rename all the UDF fields with an number at the end. In which case "Comments" will become "Comments0".
In anycase I got to update all our reports again because of this _number thing has changed all our UDF field names again.

  • Xl reporter - udf parameter

    hello
i have created a report on xl reporter using an udf. however, i would like to create a parameter on the udf and i am not able to do this. is it possible to create a parameter on a udf on an xl report?
    thanks

I never tried, but my guess is that you can create a parameter for the UDFs in the selection Window.  The UDF has names to and you can match them there with a parameter that you define in the menu.  You just have to know where is your UDF and see what is its description.

  • Create a Formatted Search with SDK?

    Hi,
Is it possible to create an Formatted Search with the SDK? With which API???
    Thanks for Help
    Thorsten

    Hi Thorsten,
Nowadays, there is not any standar way to do this. An approach could be to search for the tables where Formatted Searches are stored which are some.
If you are interested, we have developed a tool that is used to carry personalizations such us Literals, Formatted Searchs, Querys, Document Editings, User Reports, UDF and UDT. It has been very helpfull for us, and we are planning to sell it to other partners. If you are interested send me an email to [email protected]

    Hi Ashish,
I ran the "ZPS/!ZPS" in RSRT where ZPS is the infoset name. In Dev, it displayed the values. In QA, it displayed the below messages:
ECharacteristic 0TCAKYFNM does not exist. Check authorizations
WThere are calculated elements. These results are bracketed [  ]
and below that, it displayed the values for Number of records. But, it has not displayed the values for the other figures.
Does this has any impact in QA.

    1. Goto the UDF and Click (ShiftAltF2).

  • How to include the UDF of items master data into PLD (Inventory in Warehouse Report (Detailed))

    Hi,
Is there a way to include the UDF in the items master data into the <<Inventory In Warehouse Report (Detailed)>> PLD?
I checked the default layout and found out all the column source type is "free text" and the content is #Item, how do I know the value of the UDF?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Some of the standard reports are hardcoded in sap. Not possible to add UDF field in PLD.

  • XLR old reports not working with UDF from Marketing docs

    Hi,
We are using SAP Business One 2005 A (6.80.318)  SP: 01  PL: 16 and the following version of XLR.
XLR Version 6.80.367 (under about XLR) or 6.80.01.26 (under Add-ons manager).
We have just gone from 6.80.01.25 to 6.80.01.26 version of XLR and have had an issue with the reports that contain UDF's.
Previously when doing patches of SBO we have had issues with the UDF's renumbering eg.  SalesEmp_1 becoming SalesEmp_2.  Within the XLR reports we would simply update the identifier of the UDF and it would report correctly.
The issue this time is that the identifier has disappeared.  ie. SalesEmp_1 has become SalesEmp.  When you create a new report the data can be retrieved correctly however when you change the existing report to reflect SalesEmp (rather than SalesEmp_1) it reports no data.
I am not keen on re-creating all of my reports with UDFs and was wondering if anyone else had encountered the same issue and come up with a solution.
It may have something to do with the UDF's being available as Dimensions now whereas previously they were only Light Dimensions?
Let me know if I need to clarify further - although it will probably make perfect sense if you have been through the same issue - and if you haven't you may not be able to help.
    Kind regards
    Andrew

    Hi Andrew,
Unfortunately I don't know the answer to your question...
...but anyway, this Forum is focussing on the SAP Business One SDK.
In principle the Implementation Forum in the PartnerEdge P2P (http://p2p.sap.com/businessoneforum?type=join) area should more suitable for such questions.
I suggest that you raise your issue there - and hope that you will get the right answer.
...or since the issue came up when you changed from one version of XLR to another - log a question to SAP Support on the XLR component.
    Sorry,
    Frank

  • Error in viewing UDF in XL Reporter 2007B

    Hi,
I'm trying to update XLR with a number of UDFs and got this error message:

    Hi
I found something from FORUM which could be of help:
Having read through the replies and your answers regarding your problem with the report it seems to me that you may have some user defined field(s) in your report(s). If that is indeed the case then you need to have a look whether they are still visible to XL Reporter (Tools>User Defined Fields). My experience is that even though the udf's may be ticked in that screen you sometimes have to untick them and then retick again. Unfortunately that causes XLR to rename the fields by adding a number to them - so if the field name was 'UDelivery' it may be 'U_Delivery_0' now. You need to change the field names in your reports accordingly.
Even upgrading or restoring a database causes this problem with UDF's.
    Thank you
    Bishal

  • Error when setting UDF's visible in XL reporter

    Hi everyone,
Good day! I have a problem in making one several UDF's visible in XL reporter.
I'm using SAP B1 2007A PL42. I have UDF's added in the marketing documents in
the title. The code is U_RM and before this certain UDF was okay. In fact we
were able to create a repor. However, yesterday, our report will not run because
the UDF is no longer available. But if you're going to check it's setup, the box
is checked so it should be visible in XL reporter. We tried checking and
unchecking but we get this error msg, "An error occurred while trying to write
to the database. Original error-message was: Column names in each view or
function must be uniqu. Column name U_RIS in view or function "ixvfact" is
    specified more than once.
U_RIS is another UDF we added in the title of the marketing documents.
    Please help. Many thanks.

  • General Ledger Report with UDF & UDT

    Hi.,
I have created a UDF in Accounting Master Data row and linked it to a UDT (Object type:No Object)
    My UDT look like this
Now i have started entering data in the Journal Entry Window. Like this
Then when i generate a report in General Ledger the Employee only showing a numerical value of that employee like this
what i want is to show the name instead of a code number..
    is it possible ?
    thx in advance

    Hi ,
This default system behavior, you can see the name but system will store only code in database.
As Sridhar suggest you have to create one UDF and assign FMS. or
Insist of linking UDT you can directly assign value to the UDF. For example
If you click Alt + Shift + F2 you have one option "Search in Existing User-Defined Values"
there you have 254 character length. Refer the below image for more clarification.
