I restart the device and sync again, the message,
Deinstallation of: MAM30_HANDHELD-SR05 30.050 MAM30
To complete installation restart your device
I was following the 'xMAM30 installation guide'.
Please advise. Thanks

Dear kb,
Are you having enough space in your device? Post your trace file for more info. Have you added entries from WebConsole and removed entries in WebDynpro (delete from device) subsequently. Are you assigning (add entries) manually or by a customized role assignment? There might be a clash some where if you are having enough space in device. In general you will need atleast 20-30 mb free space for a minimal xMAM installation on PDA.
Please mark the question as answered if my or others' post solved your question.
Regards,
Veera
Edit:
If it was a port error, he would not have been able to synchronize at the first place. I feel it is something else.

  • Create installer for PDA 8.2

    Hi Everyone,
I've developed a PDA 8.2 application that I need to distribute world wide to
field technicians for them to install on to PDA's purchased at their locations.
When building a PDA application, the only file that is created is an exe file which
will not run on a PDA without the Labview support files installed. Is there a
way to create a full installer that will install all files required to run a
PDA application including all of the Labview application files? This
    functionality exists for PC applications.
    Thanks,
    John.

    John:
The LabVIEW PDA Module only create executables, it cannot create installers. PDA executables and support files are simply files to be transferred to the PDA and do not need to be registered with the OS, thus any installer that can transfer the file in the right directory structure should suffice. No installer applications have officially been tested with the PDA Module, however you may try out a free program called EzSetup. It is a free utility designed to create installation applications for the PocketPC. You may also want to take a look at this knowledgebase, which highlights how to develop and deploy application for Pocket PCs.
I hope this helps and please let me know if I can help further.

  • Signature Capture Software Installation on PDA

    Hi,
In note: 897289 (Signature Capture Software Installation/Deployment), Using functionality on PDA point (6), the creme version is 3.27a.
How to edit the 'Register Plugin/Unregister Plugin' file after copy to desktop?
And in /windows/creme/bin, there isn't the 'cremePie.dll' file, where to get it?
Because when click on 'Regiter Plugin', the message "Loadlibrary("CremePie.dll") failed. GetLastError returns 7e.
    Please advise.
    Thanks

    Hello Kb,
How to edit the 'Register Plugin/Unregister Plugin' file after copy to desktop?
Copy the files to desktop, right click ,select "send to" option and send it to either notepad or textpad. You should be able to edit this using notepad or textpad.
And in /windows/creme/bin, there isn't the 'cremePie.dll' file, where to get it?
Cremepie.dll will be in /windows/creme/bin. If it is not there, then creme installation is not successful.  Try reinstalling the the creme again and after installing the creme, perform a soft reset of the device so that all the Dll's are loaded .

  • DB2E installation in PDA

    HI all
    I am working on SP15 Client and now I want u user DB2E .
I have a setup file of SP13 and I need to upgrade to SP15 by appling the patches of the client as ADDons ,
    MY question is
after Installing SP13 client  --> Apply DB2E patch first --->and then Apply patched for SP15 to the Client using web console will this work .
    thanks in advance
    bye
    sam

    Hi Sam,
Please upgrade to SP15 first and then deploy the DB2e addons through the client installer. The reason is that the deployment of the DB2e addons will make entries into the MobileEngine.config file, so you need the SP15 deployerd first.
Please also note that until SP13, the SAP DB2e certified version is 8.2. But from SP14 onwards, it is DB2e 8.2.1. So you may want to use the appropriate DB2e version with your SP15 client.

  • Flash Player Silent Installation on PDA

Tryin to deploy the Flash Player on thousands Pocket PCs and
get annoyed by the Licensing pop-up.
Is there any possibilities to launch the installation in a
silent mode or does Adobe have an *.exe for installation instead of
    a cab ????
    Thanks a lot

Yes, this is an intentional change made by Microsoft.  Here's a FAQ that gives a high level overview.
How do I install Flash Player on Windows 8?

  • ME 2.1 Client Installation on PDA?

    Hi,
For ME Client Installation do I need all or a few of these files:
    cabbuilder_en.zip
    CrEmeXXXX File
    ME21Tom_en.CAB
And in which order do I need to install them?
    Thnx
    Meesum

    HI Meesum,
afaik the cabbuilder is only needed for crEme 325 and up because these versions only come with a 90day test license. To obtain a regular license you have to get in contact with the vendor of crEme, get a (free for SAP customers) permanent license and rebuild the crEme installation CAB with the new license file using the cabbuilder.
If you are either using crEme 324 or don't care about the test licence expiration you would not need to use the cabbuilder.
You will definitely need the other two files. In the instguide To ME2.1 SP03 it is recommended that you first install the mobile engine and afterwards the crEme VM. Even though this sounded a bit odd to me, it worked fine.

  • Installer for LV PDA

    Hi!,
I created installer for PDA application using Build application wizard provided by LAbVIEW. Seems like that the exe created by the installer is not a valid pocket PC application.
Has anyone tried to distribute their application for PDA and how was the installer created? I think I'll have to use msi or any other application to create installer, are there any recomended application to be used which will not conflict with LV.
    TIA
    Rachana

    Rachana,
The LabVIEW PDA Module only creates executables; it cannot create installers. What process are you using to create your executable? When targeted to the PDA device you can either click on the run button or select Tools >> Build for PDA. Are you perhaps trying to use the Application Builder instead? What version of the module do you have, and what PDA do you have? Is it a Palm or PocketPC 2002 or 2003?
If none of these suggestions help, or if I’m not correctly understanding your issue, please reply with comments or answers to the discussion above and any additional information that may help, and I’ll be happy to look further into it.

  • Installation problem with PDA

    Hi
The user profile for MAM is irrespective whether you are using the application on PDA or Laptop.  The same user profile should work on both devices.  For MAM25, the installation for PDA and Laptop is the same file and are not different.  For MAM30 its different.  Just check transaction merep_mon for the mobile id and see if you can make out any difference or errors. Or may be due to Asynchronous processing of Sync BOs, data may come down to the client after all the processing is done in the server.

  • Oracle on pda

Is there oracle database available to be installation on pda ?
If so, which is the download link.
    Thanks

There are three components to the product:
    1. Mobile Server installs on NT/2000/XP or UNIX
    2. Mobile Client for Win32/CE, PalmOS, Symbian
    3. Mobile Development Kit installs on your Windows system
    Depends on what you need.
    1. Just a small database
Install MDK from CD-ROM and your IDE of choice i.e Visual Studio to build a small database application
    2. Date synchronization
Install Mobile Server from the CD-ROM. You need an up and running Oracle Database 8.1.7 or higher to install Mobile Server. Then you have to follow a few steps to package the appliation into a JAR file, publish the JAR file into the Mobile Server, provision the application to mobile user, installe Mobile Client (libraries) over the Internet, and finally sync data and application to the mobile device

  • Tomcat server add on the device

    Hi Folks,
Can anyone tell me the exact location of the jscpout.txt file so that  i can check
whether the Tomcat server add on has been successfully installed or not.
    Can you please clarify :
I have downloaded the tomcat addon from the sapnote 1009703 but it is a zipfile.
I am looking for the file MAP70_WinCESetupTomcat_Tomcat.CAB file.
Though i have copied the add on to the device using Active sync.
The client installer has been created on my pc and again i try to
find the tomcat cab file but i can see only the txt file.
Can you suggest how to get the tomcat cab file and how to run on the device.
And the location of the jscpout.txt file so that i can check the tomcat
    installation successful or not.
    Thanks,
    Aswini

    Hi Aswini
The jscpout.txt file is present in the root folder of the PDA (i.e directly under \ ).  The tomcat addon that is attached to note 1009703 will only be zip fie and not a cab file since this needs to be installed only after you have successfully installed MAP70_WinCESetupTomcat_Tomcat.CAB which is nothing but the MI JSP client installer for PDA. So the steps are as below
    1. Install Creme JVM (Creme 3.27A)
    2. Install MAP70_WinCESetupTomcat_Tomcat.CAB.
    3. Sync to obtain a device id.
    4. Upload and assign tomcat addon to the device.  The steps for this is mentioned in note 1009703 itself.
    Hope this helps.

  • PDA Freeware Installation Ambiguity

Hello everyone.  I recently acquisitioned a used Palm T|X, found some Freeware on the World Wide Web, and attempted to download & install.  Prior to downloading, I activated the hot sync just to make sure there were no errors.  It successfully completed the sync.  I downloaded the freeware packet (zip folder) to my desktop.  There were no instructions available for the next step such as a txt file.  Many directories & files are in the Palm directory located in my program files; however, there are no instructions for installing downloaded software on those files as well.  How do I get Freeware on my PDA?
    Thanks,

  • How Does One Perform Initial Installation of T5 S/W on an Intel-based Apple MacBook Pro?

    Hello People,
My old Palm Tungsten T5 died suddenly. I managed to secure an open box T5 from Amazon, and I tried to install on my new Apple MacBook Pro. The Palm software did not complete the install apparently due to the lack of a PowerPC processor. Now my new T5 cannot even read my 2GB SD card.
Is there a work-around for installations using Intel processors on Apple computers?
I am running OS X Lion---not Snow Leopard. I just bought this MacBook Pro less than two months ago, and it's the most modern version.
I saw something of the issues others were having with Snow Leopard, and I wondered whether the same issues carried over to Lion.
If necessary, I can dig my old Windows Vista PC out of storage, but I really like using the Apple laptop and would prefer to use that since I normally use the laptop and PDA on the go.
    Most respectfully yours,
    John
    Post relates to: Tungsten T5

Here is the info. on MAC OS X. You will need to look for 3rd party options.
Palm Desktop and HotSync Manager are not compatible with Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. Palm currently has no plans to release future versions of Palm Desktop and HotSync Manager for Palm OS. Customers do have options with third-party solutions such as The Missing Sync for Palm OS from Mark/Space.
Here is the link to Mark/Space for your T5.

  • Error in pda load image file performance in PDA

    hello
i am using Windows CE with labview mobile module 8.6 in evaluation version. When trying to use "pda load imege file.vi" i get an error code 1, regardless of loading a .bmp, .gif or .jpg, of only 80kb (no diference in the color depth i use). I have tryed the same program in the windows mobile 5 emulator with the same error code. When i use "pda load bmp.vi" to load a .bmp, everything is OK. Some hints about this error?
some hints about missing dll are provided here
http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=185995&query.id=129565#M185995 -> can that be my problem? but then, why same error in the emulator?
Aditionally, if .gif or .jpg have to be "flatened" to pixmap for opeation inside my VI , is there any difference (in terms of speed and memory allocation) in loading .gif .jpg or .bmp? i have to operate with the raw pixmap data in "real time", and flatened .bmp images (320x220) do not load and update fast enough... any advice for that?

    Michiel
    acording to the info provided
    LabVIEW 8.6 Mobile Module
    The
LabVIEW 8.6 Mobile Module includes the necessary Microsoft tools. The
Mobile Module installs ARM Pocket PC and Windows Mobile targets. You
only need to download and install the following additional Microsoft
tools (linked below) if you need x86 emulator targets:
    Microsoft eMbedded Visual C++ 4.0
Microsoft eMbedded Visual C++ SP 4 or later
SDK for Windows Mobile 2003-based Pocket PCs
Note: If you are upgrading from version 8.0 or later of the PDA Module, you probably already have the additional tools.
    Since
i have  an ARM pocket PC, i understand from the above that  no extra
software is needed. Anyhow, i will try to install the recomended tools.
About the VI, well, basically not even the library examples work in my
pocket PC, so, you may try those to see if they work on your devices. I
am afraid that the pocket PC i got (it is actually a PNA and not a PDA)
has a reduced version of WINDOWS CE 5.0 installed and that can be the
    reason for the error...
