XML construction and tranformation

Question

Hi,
I am constructing an XML doc using DocumentBuilderFactory class and adding elements. Once I finished I converted it into String(entire XML) and get the byte equivalent to set it in the servlet response . Evertthing worked fine untill i used crimson. But in Java 1.5 there is no crimson support also xalan's serializetoxml classes are not available..I dont know I am missing here anything...
Following is the code..Follwoing code will not work since doc object will not have any write() method which is available and woking in apache crimson jar. Can any one help me to do the same using xalan or any different method to post the xml without writing into a file? Or any good practice..?

        StringWriter xmlStrWri = new StringWriter();
        BufferedWriter xmlBuff = new BufferedWriter(xmlStrWri);
        try
            doc.write(xmlBuff);
        catch(Exception excep){
            excep.printStackTrace();

            nfLogger.finer("Constructed XML string is="+deviceElement);
            return (xmlStrWri.toString().getBytes());

Didn't your search for "identity transformer" in this forum turn up anything? I've posted the code regularly here, I'm getting a little tired of having to repost it all the time.
