XML Editor capable of decoding iTunes "Location" key?

I'm looking for an XML editor that will allow me to select all entries in the iTunes Music Library XML file with the same Location key, and search and replace those files so all of them become part of the same playlist folder. This is using iTunes 8.2.1 on Mac OS X 10.6. Would this be possible with any XML editor that anyone is aware of?

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!

Is any iPod capable of decoding 24bit/192kHz hi-rez iTunes music files?

I've begun building a library of high resolution music files (24bit/176k and 24bit/192k) from online retailers such as HDTracks.com. I have no problem playing these back through my home system via my iMac's optical digital audio output into an outboard DAC. However, these files don't even show up on my iPod (5th gen video). I guess it's too much to expect the iPod to have a DAC capable of decoding these, but does anybody have any suggestions for getting this music onto my iPod. Perhaps building an alternate iTunes library with down-converted versions of these files is a solution.

The iPod's DAC inside does not support 24/192. I am not sure my something like Wadia 170i will pick the digital signal from iPod at 24/192 .... you can ask Wadia directly

Can I and how do I transfer my Itunes location to an external hard drive...

My computer it running out of space mainly because of my itunes library. A couple of questions. Can I transfer the location of the library and account to an external hard drive and how can I do this so the default will be the external hard drive and not my computer? (Side note - I am using a portable Seagate external hard drive for this.) Thank you for you assistance with this.

Right-click any song in iTunes, locate it in the Windows Explorer, navigate up to the iTunes folder, drag it over, launch iTunes with the Shift key held down, and point it there.

I also just tried dragging my folder of music int he playlist and it duplicated all of my songs? My playlist was at 5k now it's at 10k becuz of 3 duplicates of songs. Is there a way to delete multiple duplicate files?

Based on my research, the error message is only generated by FireFox when the render page is blank in Internet. For some reason, .NET generates a response type of "application/xml" when it creates an empty page. Firefox parses the file as XML and finding
no root element, spits out the error message.
Also, based on your description, the other sites are opened correctly, the issue only happened in Central Administration(CA). This means the SharePoint services are working fine.
Since this issue only occurred in the CA, it might be due the application pool for the CA is corrupted. Please try to restart the application pool for the CA to resove the issue:
1. Open Internet Information Service(IIS)
2. List the application pools
3. Select the application pool used for the CA
4. Stop it, and then start it again.
Note, if the application pool is running in Classic mode, please change it to be Integrated mode.

Why can't itunes locate my music files when they are there?

I think that this happened when I checked off both "keep iTunes media folder organized" and "copy files to iTunes Media Folder when adding to library."I had all of my files located at C:\Users\Beata\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media and then I noticed that itunes made folders for all of of my music files because I have checked off the keep iTunes media folder organized. Ever since then, itunes can't find all of my files but only some of it and I don't want to go one by one to locate all of the songs. All of my songs are located in the same location which is C:\Users\Beata\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Music I changed it to this location because all of my song files are located there and the place where it was located before, I didn't find the song files on there. I also noticed that itunes would oragize and create folders for my songs in the my music library and I thought that was the reason why itunes couldn't find the files because they were in the wrong location so I moved all of those folders to C:\Users\Beata\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Music So, is it because all of my files are in folders since itunes organized them? All of my files are in album, artist, and song title folders. Where should all of these folders be located at? Also, iTunes creates multiple folders that have the same name and should I just leave the folders be or organize them myself because I have folders that have the same exact name as in the artist and title but it has different song files in the folders. Should I combine the files into the same folder that have the same artist or should I just leave it that way? Please ,I really need help as I have tried almost everything.

Copied using ImportNode, copied document is not opening in xml editor

i noticed that this is happending when the initial content is having something like 1235-7654 i removed all the '-' from be part of numerices then it works fine. if it is part of charachater nothing restricting. input xml content is wrapped with CDATA. pls give me suggitions what could be the workaround for it.

No, it is not built on top of Netbeans. The plugin framework is JPF(http://jpf.sourceforge.net) and the docking framework is vldocking(http://www.vlsolutions.com/en/products/docking/).
XPontus XML Editor is a standalone Java Swing application for now. The integration with Netbeans and Eclipse is planned for future releases. That will depends on the team's knowledge of Netbeans Platform and SWT.

Open XML file in XML editor with certain XPath highlighted

Hi,
I have wrtten an XML compraison tool which produces an HTML report of all differences and shows the xpaths where there is a mismatch. I want the user to be able to click the xpath (like hyperlink) and open the XML file using IE or any opensource XML editor (xerlin?) such that the xpath node is the current highlighted node on the screen. That way the user can right away seee where the mismatch is. As a next step I wanted to open both the control and the test files side by side with both xpaths highlighted.
Any idea how I can approach the problem? Is there any open osurce software I can leverage and integrate my application,

I am looking for an JSF component or framework which allows editing XML documents online in the browser.
I found the tags richTextEditor and richTextEditorInsertBehavior, but thats out of the box only for text editing.

NitroX XML editor

I'm using a dark scheme when using the PC for long hours.
The NitroX xml editor doesn't seem to have customization for the colors.
Is there some way to customize them?

It is very simple, goto Window > Preferences > Workbench > Colors and Fonts
on the right hand side panel expand Basic select Text Font and then click
Change button modify the values and dismiss Preferences you will start
seeing the relative changes for the editor
