XML file from Logic - can i open in STP

i had a professional do sound design for me. he put all of the actual sound files on my hard drive and also gave me an XML file, which he said i could open in FCP and all of my sound would line up in it's own tracks.
does anyone know how i can open this XML into a soundtrack pro multritrack project?
or do i have to get it to work first in FCP then export as a multitrack?

You might have tried by this time . . . but, yes. Just do an "open" from within STP, find the file, and it should open.

Xml files from logic to fcp. translation error

using final cut pro 5.1.4 and logic 7.3.2. creating a slide version of a musical show i wrote. sent the fcp file to logic as xlm, in order to record the singing along with the prerecorded music aif file. did the vocal record in logic, but when i try to send the xlm back to fcp i get a message: translation error, critical error. so now i have no way to get the file back to fcp, after all that work in logic 7.3.2. alas!! previously i got that same error message and discovered that in logic i had been working in 48,000 sample rate files, but this time around i was careful to avoid that problem, and checked the audio window to be sure everything is in 44,000 files. alas! alas! moan, sigh . . .

Welcome to the bizarre world of XML.
Given that you're on Logic 7 then I'm sorry to say that these formats have never been particularly reliable (same with L8), but I heard it's better in L9 but I've not tried it yet.
Some report no problems, others can't get it to work at all. I can't offer a workaround as I'm not sure what you want to achieve exactly, but I can tell you it's one of those things that's totally unreliable.

Files from PC Can not open

I have Disk Aid on my PC. I can apparently sucessfuly move files to my Ipad but when I use FileApp pro I cannot find the files anywhere on the Ipad, yet they appear on my PC looking into the Ipad. When I was using the FilePro free version I had no trouble finding the files. What am I doing wrong?

It should, it is both ways. You can access files from your iPad from your dropbox account, and you can manage files (better) on your PC. There is a free Dropbox app on the App Store.

Export file from SAP can not open into seperate rows in excel

When I export data from SAP to .XLS file (With Unicode) and open with MS Excel.
The data in file show with single line and it is not seperate as rows in excel.
How can I solve this issue? It is occure this error in some laptop.

Do you mean you are not able to see multiple columns? If that is the case use text to column from excel's data menu and give a try.

Problem while reading XML file from Aplication server(Al11)

I am facing a problem while reading XML file from Aplication server using open data set.
OPEN DATASET v_dsn IN BINARY MODE FOR INPUT.
IF sy-subrc <> 0.
EXIT.
ENDIF.
READ DATASET v_dsn INTO v_rec.
WHILE sy-subrc <> 0.
ENDWHILE.
CLOSE DATASET v_dsn.
The XML file contains the details from an IDOC number , the expected output is XML file giving all the segments details in a single page and send the user in lotus note as an attachment, But in the present output after opening the attachment i am getting a single XML file which contains most of the segments ,but in the bottom part it is giving the below error .

Can I load xml file from SWC without using @embed

I'm developing a mobile application in which I need to load xml files from File.applicationDirectory. This works great if the xml files are part of the main application swf. But I would like to move these xml files into a SWC so they could be shared across multiple applications.
Using FlashBuilder 4.5, when a SWC is built, I can specify files to embed in the library that are not assets (Assets Tab of Flex Library Build Path). For various design reasons, I do NOT want to embed the xml files via @embed.
When the swc is built and I open it up using a zip utility, I see the xml files in there just fine. So they are being bundled with the SWC. But how can I load these files in my main application that does not involve using @embed? When the main application is built, the swc setting for link type is "merged into code".
I wouldn't expect the application to automatically pull out the xml files from the swc and place them in the File.applicationDirectory on the mobile device. I've tried loading from there just in case but file.exists is false (as expected).
I've searched the web (and continue to do so) and all the answers seem to be to use @embed. Is there another way?

It's actually a lot easier than you think.
Just reference the file like any'ol URL using a path relative to the SWC's src directory.
So if you include the file "assets/xml/some.xml", just use that same string like you would any remote resource.
For example:
var loader:URLLoader = new URLLoader( new URLRequest("assets/xml/some.xml"));
I believe it would also work like this "/assets/xml/some.xml", but I prefer relative paths so the link doesnt break if moved out of the SWC...

Using Logic Express 8 to open .aif or iso song files from Logic Pro

I can open the song but only the lead vocal track has volume. I get a message that some of the files are "5 bit" and can't work with Logic Express 8. Is there a problem converting these files from Logic Pro to Logic Express 8 or do I have another problem

assuming no one else responds with a more complete answer, can you be a bit more specific of exactly what the message says in full.
Does it give you any indication which files?
Logic Pro does have more plug-ins and features that will not be backward compatible, especially if it some plug in that is required that comes with LP but not LE.
I haven't been able to find any reference about 5-bit - hence the need perhaps for a more complete message output.

Three options come to my mind.
Option 1: Use SAP transaction SXDA_TOOLS (Object Type BUS2032), Program Type (BAPI) and Program (CREATEFROMDAT2).
Option 2: Use SAP transaction SXDA_TOOLS (Object Type BUS2032), Program Type (DINP) and Program (RVINVB10).
Option 3: Translate the xml to IDoc so that ORDER04 / ORDER05 Idoc can be used to create Sales order (WEDI transaction).

I am using the most up to date version of Mavericks and Pages and can log into iCloud without any problems. Is this just a glitch? The files all behaved properly under previous versions and the initial release of the new version of Pages.

Pages for iCloud beta is a weird beast and as it says "beta".
I think it is the least compatible of all the many different .pages files floating around out there.

Let us assume you have all the data from the jsp form in an java bean object..
Now you want a xml file. This can be acheived in 2 ways
1. Write it into a file using java.io classes. Say you have a class with name
write("<name>"+obj.getName+</name>);
bingo you have a flat file with the xml
2. Use data binding to do the trick
will recommend JiBx and Castor for the 2nd option
