XML form link not opening in scrolling news

Hi,
I have created news by using XML form in that I m passing links which is opening in 'Show' form.then I have used KM Document Iview and passing ivew link of that form in 'Marquee Tag' then create par file of that which works properly(news scroller is working).But when I click on link its not opening.
Please help asap. Its urgent...

Is that page on SharePoint, or is that on the internet?
If the second is the case I would just use a hyperlink which opens in a new tab via target blank attribute:
http://www.w3schools.com/tags/att_a_target.asp
And you can place it in a content editor web part.
Btw, with SharePoint 2013 you can use the Script Editor Web Part to embed a form from a source like Survey Monkey:

Why does clicking on a link not open in a new tab although i have selected this feature under options

I have selected that links should open in new tabs, but they keep opening in my current tab.

That feature isn't for '''''all''''' links, only for those links that would open in a new window; no affect on links that are programmed to open in the same window. That preference diverts a new window to a new tab. If you want all links to open in a new tab, middle-click or {Ctrl + Click} links.

It's known bug. this issue fixed in 11.1.1.7.0 (coming soon).
bug 13852263 - ACTION LINKS - NAVIGATION TO BI REPORTS DOESN'T WORK ( OPEN IN NEW WINDOW)
for now : to uncheck the "Open in New Window" checkbox and go to the detail report in the same Window.
Note: this bug has been fixed by applying the patch 14003822 (u need to get the latest patch)

When I click on a web link and hold down ctrl the page will not open into a new tab, it is just opening in a new window. How do I correct this?

When I use to hold down the ctrl key and left click on a web link, the page use to open into a new tab. For some reason this is not working anymore. Instead when I hold down the ctrl key and left click on a web link, the link will open into a new window. How do I fix this?

I figured out how to correct it. Not sure what exactly was happening. But I started into private browsing and then turned it off. It's been working correctly ever since I did private browsing.

Any external links do not open in my NEW version (9.01)

Yesterday I downloaded the "Grocery List" app and it came with a bug. every time I would hover over a link a Javascript 101 error message would pop up. I couldn't do anything about it. Shutting down and re-booting didn't work. Uninstalling and re-installing FF didn't work either. I finally had to get outside help, which cost me nearly six hours of time. But now I don't get the error. (I will NEVER add another "add-on" from fire fox again.)
Now, however, any links, say from an e-mail, will NOT OPEN in a new browser window, which had been the case before. How do I repair this?

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Link not opening in new page

I have a javascript for an array of rotating logos. Each logo is associated with a link. When you click on the logo, the corporate website linked to the logo opens but it does not open in a new page. How do I get it to open in a new page?
The website link is http://lexedfoundation.org
the code calling the links is

I'm relatively new to web development and I'm afraid I don't understand what static address I'm supposed to change. I tried substituting the http://www.externalsite.com with clickLink() but that resulted in a "page not found" message. I don't understand what "http://www.externalsite.com" represents since there is a different address for each logo. Could you please be more specific?

Link List Explorer NOT Opening In A New Window

Hi All,
I am trying to force my KM linklist links to open in a new window and this is proving to be a hard feat!
I have navigated to System Admin --> System Config --> Knowledge Management --> Content Management --> Configuration --> Content Management --> User Interface --> Settings --> Resource Renderer Settings --> Link List Resource Renderer.
Within this area, I have changed the Target Window Type to "blank" and "fixed" amongst other options but it is not opening the new links in a blank window.
Instead, it opens the KM folder in a new window and when I click on a link within that folder, it opens in a new portal window complete with Portal framework.
All I want is for my links to open in a new blank window with no Portal framework.
Any ideas?

Links not opening in new window

I have everything set properly, but the links will not open in a new window, even though the box is checked. What could be causing this. It is very important that some particular links open in a new window. Website is adstreet.com and the link is the Apparel & Specialties link. Any ideas?

You're referring to these links at the bottom, correct?

Use the text tool to select whichever text has links you want to have open in a new window, then click on Hyperlink in the Control Strip and check the box for "Open the link in a new window or tab".

Links not opening as new tabs in Safari window

I have set my Safari preferences so that when I click a link, it should open a new tab in the current window yet it never works. A clicked URL brings up a new window and I'm constantly merging all the windows into one.
Any ideas why this preference might not be holding?

Unless this occurs for every link you click, the problem is due to the fact that some links are coded in the HTML to open in new windows. In Safari, those links will open in a new window no matter what you do. Only links that are coded to open normally (i.e. in the same window) will open in a new tab when Command-clicked. In other words, Safari is just not set up to override how a link is coded, as Firefox and some other browsers are. Safari honors the "new window" HTML.
There is a way to get around this without using third-party software. It requires using Terminal to change Safari's default behavior. It's a very simple change, essentially just toggling a hidden setting to the "on" position, and shouldn't cause any problems as some "hacks" can do.
To do this, simply open Terminal (in the Applications/Utilities folder) and paste the following command:
defaults write com.apple.Safari TargetedClicksCreateTabs -bool true
And hit the Return key. Quit and relaunch Safari.
If you want to reverse this change, enter the following command in Terminal:
defaults write com.apple.Safari TargetedClicksCreateTabs -bool false
And then the Return key.

A page with a post method form is not opening in PageViewer web part

Hi,
I wanted to display a page in the Page Viewer web part. So, i gave the URL of the page in the Page Viewer web part.
The page is rendered as expected.
Now, the page has a link when clicked opens another page which has a form with a post method. The issue is the page with the form is not opening. I want the page to open and function as expected.
Any suggestions?

How can I set web links to open in a new window?

I'm using the links tool in Acrobat 5.05 to create links in my pdf to other websites, not documents. When the pdf is posted online, I need those links to open in a new window. Now they open in the same window, which subjects the viewer to using the back button to return to the originating pdf and waiting for it to completely reload. This is a sizeable pdf file, making that very time consuming. I tried Un-checking the option about "Open Cross Document Links in Same Window" but tests indicated that it made no difference.
If you need more info to clarify my question, please just ask. Any suggestions in regard to solving this will be appreciated.
My apologies if a similar question has already been asked/answered. I did not find reference to it in my search.

You can use JavaScript for this. For example:

More information is in the Acrobat JavaScript reference. Note that this method is new to Acrobat 7. You can still use Acrobat 5 to create the JavaScript, but it won't work for versions less than 7, or for most users of non-Adobe PDF viewers. If you go this route, you should add some code that checks the version of Acrobat (Reader), and only execute the above code if 7 or above.

On any website with links (especially reddit), EVERY time I click a link, it opens in a new tab or window.
I do not wan't this.
I just want the link to open in the same tab I'm using.

How do I set up an html link to open in a new window outside of the PDF?

I've done a lot of searching and cannot find an answer to this dilemma. I create press releases for my employer's website in InDesign, then export as PDFs. They appear as icons on the "news" page of our site, which the user clicks to open and read. Each PR has links to various pages on our site, but I want those links to open in a new browser window so that the user can still read the PR. I understand this option is not available in InDesign PDF export, but can I modify the link in Acrobat X, then resave? If so, how?

FRM-40735: WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-04063.
