Seeking examples of custom XML Gateway message map
I've been asked to create some custom XML Gateway message maps for inbound/outbound XML data feeds.
I've followed along at [this tutorial|http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E12839_01/integration.1111/e10537/T430238T430339.htm#T430357], but it stops short of telling me how to define a custom message map.
Does anyone know of a resource I could look at - a web site, book, etc., that would cover the creation of a custom message map?Have a look

How to consume XML Gateway WS from a remote Oracle DB (10g)?
Hi,
I'm currently looking into consuming EBS web services, particularly the XML Gateway service from a remote database. For ease of use, I'm also using an Oracle 10g database.
It seems there are several ways to skin a cat though. Hope you can help.
1) Is it possible to use UTL_HTTP for this? If yes, can you please explain in detail as I have been trying to do this the past few days without success. Note, I was able to consume other web service examples, though. What url & SOAP action should I use?
2) I built a proxy client stub using JDeveloper and deployed it to the DB. However my plsql procedure doesn't execute the java class. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
CharinaHi Charina,
Regarding option 1), the url for the service endpoint and the value for the SOAPaction HTTP heaader are advertized in the WSDL for your service.
The value of the utl is provided by the 'location' attribute for the soap:address element within a port.
The value for the SOAPaction header is provided by the 'soapAction' attribute for the soap:operation element within a wsdl:binding/wsdl:operation element.
You can have multiple ports and bindings advertized in a single WSDL. If this is the case for you, you need to make sure that the operation you are tryin to invoke is from the SOAP binding; the one with the transport attribute set to "http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/http".
Here is a WSDL snippet for illustration purposes:
<binding name="CalculatePricePort" type="tns:CalculatePricePort">
<soap:binding transport="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/http"
style="document"></soap:binding>
<operation name="CalculatePrice">
<soap:operation soapAction="document/http://siebel.com/OrderManagement/Quote/PSP:CalculatePrice"></soap:operation>
<input>
<soap:body use="literal"></soap:body>
</input>
<output>
<soap:body use="literal"></soap:body>
</output>
</operation>
</binding>
<service name="CalculatePriceWS">
<port binding="tns:CalculatePricePort" name="CalculatePricePort">
<soap:address location="http://130.35.90.150/eai_enu/start.swe?SWEExtSource=SecureWebService&SWEExtCmd=Execute&UserName=XXXX&Password=XXXX"></soap:address>
</port>
</service>Note that I took an example where both attributes are not using common format.
To try to get this working faster, you may want to try to use an existing JAVA (or .Net) client and compare the working payload with what is generated by the UTL_HTTP package. It's usually faster to work of a working sample that to double guess why it's not working.
Hope it helps,

Need to send XML msg to TP using B2B, but format should be Orcl XML Gateway
Current Interface:
==================
We have an EBS 11.5.10 with XML Gateway.
Actively we were exchanging XML data with 5 trading partners (different application maintained by 3rd party) using EBS XML Gateway.
XML Gateway uses OAG Format (attached the format bellow)
Future Interface:
=================
Our company is in process of moving our EBS 11.5.10 app to Oracle Fusion Apps.
Oracle Fusion app interfaces will be using Fusion Middleware and B2B.
For that we doing a POC interface between a Fusion MDM and 1 Trading Partner.
Problem:
========
But, when sending XML message to other TP using B2B, the format is different. i.e. Message in the XML Format.
Eg.
<?xml version="1.0" ?><OUTB_FUS_IND_DATA> <OUTB_FUS_IND TRANSACTION_TYPE="TP_INDIVIDUAL_OB" TRANSACTION_SUBTYPE="INDIVIDUAL.UPDATE"> <OUTB_FUS_IND KEYVALUE="100010058799220" PERSON_FIRST_NAME="Xyz" PERSON_LAST_NAME="Abc"/> </OUTB_FUS_IND></OUTB_FUS_IND_DATA>
Oracle XML Gateway send message with message envelop, which have attributes as text field and payload in the XML message format (XML Gateway envelope details is below).
(Sample XML messages goes out: HTTP Body
TRANSPORT_PROTOCOL=OXTA
TRANSPORT_PROTOCOL_VERSION=1.0
REQUEST_TYPE=SEND
MESSAGE_ID=A1234567890ZZ0987654321
MESSAGE_TYPE=XML
MESSAGE_STANDARD=OAG
TRANSACTION_TYPE=TP_INDIVIDUAL_IB
TRANSACTION_SUBTYPE=INDIVIDUAL.UPDATE
DOCUMENT_NUMBER=12345
PARTYID=9999
PARTY_SITE_ID=8888
PROTOCOL_TYPE=HTTPSu2013OXTA
PROTOCOL_ADDRESS=HTTPS://www.me.com/servlets/oracle.ecx.oxta.
Therefore, when I receive the document in PI the mapping fails due to an incorrectly formed message payload. For example:
TRANSPORT_PROTOCOL=OXTA&TRANSPORT_PROTOCOL_VERSION=1.0&REQUEST_TYPE=SEND&MESSAGE_ID=9EA3BD2......
We want B2B send messages to other TP as same way XML gateway use to send.
How we solve this issue?
XML Gateway Envelope (Manual)
=====================
In addition to the business document such as a purchase order or invoice in the XML Payload, a set of message attributes are transmitted. Collectively, these attributes are called the XML Gateway envelope.
This section discusses the XML Gateway envelope and its data in the validation process for inbound messages, or its source of data for its creation for outbound messages. Data entered into the Trading Partner Setup form is referred to as data in the trading partner table. Data entered into the Define Transactions form is referred to as data in the transaction table.
Most of the data elements are copied from the Trading Partner tables or the Transaction tables to the XML Gateway envelope.

Is there a way in XML gateway to encode the payload automatically to base64 encoding so that it can accommodate the unicode
Is there any way to encode the order information from EBS tables to base64 format in the outbound SOAP request ? Is this supported . If yes, how.?
Does this involve customization. Is it possible to use encoder/decoder provided in sites such as XSL on top of XML : http://gandhimukul.tripod.com/xslt/base64-xslt.html
Basically, They are trying to use XML Gateway to send and receive messages to a Trading Partner via SOAP. The issues is
1. Outbound: The TP web service can only receive xml content that is encoded in base 64 binary format. How do we configure to encode content using base64
2. Inbound: They want to receive messages using the SOAP architecture into XML gateway.
Please let us know if you have any detailed configuration document for this purpose. Please advise and share relevant details.
regards,
AjithHi Gurvinder,
Thanks for looking into this. Just to clarify again.
example XML content:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone='no'?>

<FULL_NAME>Eddi.S,</FULL_NAME>
<LAST_NAME>Eddi.S</LAST_NAME>
<MIDDLE_NAME/>
</EMPLOYEE_DATA>
</EMPLOYEE>
Sample Soap message that needs to be sent to our service provider is as follows
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>

See that the content is encoded using the base64 format.
Please help us to know how we can configure XML gateway to achieve this.

XML gateway with multiple XML structures??
Hi,
I have a requirement to import data using XML gateway with different XML structures. Third party system sometimes will not provide certain tags itself if there is no data for the tag like contacts in below sample xmls. In that case we need to ignore those tags (CONTACTS in below sample). As per my understanding, we must have tag in XML though it may not have any value.
We have 2 XMLs
XML1 for supplier with contacts
<SUPPLIER>
<NAMES>
<NAME1>XYZ </NAME1>
<NAME2>ABC</NAME2>
</NAMES>
<SITE>
<SITE1>XYZ </SITE1>
<SITE2>ABC</SITE2>
</SITE>
<CONTACT>
<CONTACT1>XYZ </CONTACT1>
<CONTACT2>ABC</CONTACT2>
</CONTACT>
</SUPPLIER>
XML2 for supplier without contacts
XML1
<SUPPLIER>
<NAMES>
<NAME1>XYZ1 </NAME1>
<NAME2>ABC1</NAME2>
</NAMES>
<SITE>
<SITE1>XYZ1 </SITE1>
<SITE2>ABC1</SITE2>
</SITE>
</SUPPLIER>
Can we upload data in both these xmls using only one generic dtd and xgm using XML gateway which will skip any missing tag.
Thanks
RishiHi, you can FOR XML PATH for a finer degree of control over your XML. Use the @ symbol to create attributes. Here's a simple example:
DECLARE @t TABLE ( rowId INT IDENTITY PRIMARY KEY, [address] VARCHAR(50), city VARCHAR(30), floor INT, suite INT, doorType VARCHAR(20) )
INSERT INTO @t VALUES
( '123 Fake St', 'Springfield', 10, 512, 'Metal' )
SELECT
[address] AS "Address",
city AS City,
[floor] AS "Location/@Floor",
suite AS "Location/@Suite",
doorType AS "Location/@DoorType"
FROM @t
FOR XML PATH ('Company'), ROOT ('Companies'), ELEMENTS; -
Hi
I need an example of the DTD and the xml file delivered by Oracle XML Gateway which i can present as an example for a customer. Does anybody knows where to find those or if someone coulld mail them to me ?

Thanks in advance

Connecting XML Gateway outbound to BPEL.
Hello Folks,
I am trying to use XML Gateway as a notification mechanism to trigger BPEL in Fusion middleware suite. For example XML Gateway in eBiz will publish a new hire event from XML Gateway to invoke a BPEL process.
The problem I am having is getting XML Gateway event to invoke BPEL. Can some one point me to a tutorial? If you have implemented it in-house, could you please point me to a list of things to-do?
I have gone through XML Gateway users guide as well as Oracle Applications Adapters guide, but still couldn't get the integration working. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Hi,
i am new to this EBS, i am not sure i use the correct word (XML Gateway). i would want to write some programs in the form of URL (people usually it call it XML web call?), so that when other system developed in PL/SQL can refer to this URL whenever they want a certain transaction. It is for warning or validation purpose.
Below is the scenario.
For example: i have set the credit limit of $5000 for CUSTOMER A in EBS. So when my user input the order for this CUSTOMER A in other system developed in PL/SQL (mod plsql), i want the package of PL/SQL to make a web call, and this web call will return the result in XML output. <status> and <error_message>. If the status=1 then success, if status=0, then that PL/SQL package should return error.
how do i achieve that?
thanks

hi Srini/Hussein,
am i in the right track for my query?? is it XML Gateway for EBS?
regards,
RobertAFAIK, XML Gateway is used for bulk xml processing using flat files (e.g. EDI transactions). I believe what you are looking for is an EBS function that is exposed as a web service that is callable over middleware using SOA. There are a few examples out there - google for "oracle ebs web service". R12.1.3 has built in SOA gateway that can be used to expose EBS APIs as web services. Check the SOA Gateway R12.1.3 docs at http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B53825_07/current/html/docset.html

EBS R12 XML Gateway Integration - Supplier information sync with MAXIMO
Hello Guys.
Recently I'm working on a EBS R12 implementation project, as customer already has MAXIMO application, they would like keep it ask "supplier" information syncronization between Oracle EBS R12 and MAXIMO through Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3
For EBS R12 supplier creation/update screens done, currently I found I can get supplier information out by configuring Oracle APPS adapter within Oracle ESB(Enterprise Service Bus) scenario to catch business events but may not perfect this way.
Then we would like try XML Gateway but seems there're no "supplier" related XML Gateway fit in Oracle Apdater module browser :-(
Appreciate if any one can guide/help........

XML Gateway: Error while posting to a OTA URL
Hi
I am using the code in XML Gateway user guide for OTA Post over HTTPS. Am getting an IOException that i am unable to tunnel through the proxy.
The user guide code can be seen here : http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E18727_01/doc.121/e12954/T319774T319783.htm
But, when i use Chrome's REST Client and set the proxy to be same proxy as i use in the code above, I am getting a successful response.
Am unable to understand the difference between both.
The exception that i get is as below:
Exception = java.io.IOException: Unable to tunnel through proxy. Proxy returns "HTTP/1.1 504 Gateway Timeout"
Kindly help.
thanks

Got error: Location Code is not enabled in the XML Gateway Server
Hi,
When I perform Compliance rule screening on GTM - Globel Trade Management,that I defined GTM as an Trading Partner on EBS R12.1.3,
GTM can send response to EBS,but I see the following error message via Transaction Monitor on EBS workflow:
[The Standard:OAG, Transaction Type:ITM , Transaction SubType:EXPORT_COMPLIANCE and Location Code GTM6.2 is not enabled in the XML Gateway Server. Pls check your Setup.]
On EBS,I defined an ITM Partner for GTM,named 'GTM6.2',according to the document created by you: ITM Setup.doc
and I also finished the following steps:
1. ITM Application Users
2.ITM Partner Service Types
3.ITM Parameter Setup
4.Order Type Creation: ITM Only
5.Customer Creation: create a customer named 'GTM6.2', also enter 'GTM6.2' as EDI Location
6.Define Transactions on XML Gateway as following:
<Header>:
Party Type: Customer
Transaction Type: ITM
Transaction Sub Type: EXPORT_COMPLIANCE
<External Transactions (Lines)>:
Standard Code: OAG
External Transaction Type: ITM
External Transaction Sub Type: EXPORT_COMPLAINCE
Queue: APPLSYS.ECX_IN_OAG_Q
7.Define Trading Partners on XML Gateway as following:
<Header>:
Trading Partner Type: Customer
Trading Partner Name: GTM6.2
<Trading Partner Details>:
Transaction Type: ITM
External Transaction Type: ITM
External Transaction Sub Type: EXPORT_COMPLAINCE
Map: WSHITEIN
Source Trading Partner Location Code: GTM6.2 (same as the value what defined in EDI Location for customer)
I think the combination of External Transaction Type, External Transaction Subtype, Standard Code,Source Trading Partner Location Code
should be existing once done above steps, I have no idea why the error prompted.
Does someone can tell how to trace the error?
Thanks,

B2b unable to pick the file from xml gateway
Hi All,
I am taking a scenario where B2B picks the files from xml gateway and drop the files in FTP folder. I modified the XML gateway inbound and outbound, i has given my user credentials(unmae, host ,pwd ,sid, port). In agreement in the place of internal delivery channel i has given XML gateway outbound.
Still its unable to pick the files from xml gateway.
Clarify my understanding please
While b2b picks the files from xml gateway, It will pick from ECX_Inbound or ECX_Outbound?
Here i am attaching the logs:
