XML in Apple's Keynote?

Has anyone played around with the apxl, (XML) file used to store keynote presentations? Would anyone know any appropriate method/direction or possible developer for programing functions into the apxl structure?

To date, my only luck has been programing quartz composer clips (Date & Time), works great! However, still having a difficult time with "Live" Data feeds...(something simple like a.... weather update)?

Highlight the canvas. Under the view pulldown menu, turn on image+wireframe. Double click the video on track 2. That opens it in the viewer window. you'll note that on the top of the viewer window is a tab called motion. open that up. The very first tool you'll see there is the scale tool. You can either enter numbers and coordinates, or you can simply grab the corner of the green wireframe in the canvas to scale the image-- your pick.
I would strongly suggest a thorough reading of the manuals. This is editing 101.

Video Alongside A Powerpoint (like in Apple's Keynote video): How?

Hello all,
At work I've been asked to come up with a way to display a video of someone presenting at an event alongside the matching PowerPoint deck they're using for their presentation. I've got FPC on a Macbook Pro along with a Windows XP setup, so I've got access to everything I think I should need, but I'm not sure how to create the desired effect.
As an example of what I'm talking about if you look at Apple's keynote presentation by Steve Jobs from 2010 at 1:15 you can see what I'm trying to do (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1w7QmMt6CCI). Have a small frame on the left (or right) with the video of the presenter, and then the PowerPoint slides in the other, larger, window, both being present at once on screen.
Any help on how I can do this would be hugely appreciated!

Watching Apple's Keynotes with QuickTime on Macs

Like many, I have experienced problems watching Apple's keynotes on my Mac. Depending on how I configure the transport, I either get a "Bad address" right away, or "Live Broadcast - paused", or QT switches transports then reports "Bad address", or it just tries to load forever. This seems to have nothing to do with the network, because my Significant Other's Mac is on the same network and plays the keynotes without any problem. The Significant Difference seems to be, my SO rarely installs third-party software -- she even has to be "reminded" to update. On a hunch I uninstalled DivX on my Mac, and now the keynotes play. Uninstalling DivX is not simply a matter of "trashing" the applications. Use the shareware application Pacifist to list the contents of /Library/Receipts/DivX for Mac Installer.pkg and delete all the stuff that DivX installed. To be clean about the whole thing, delete the .pkg thereafter.
If you didn't install DivX and have the problem nevertheless, try to recall which "foreign" plug-ins you did install into QuickTime. That's almost sure to be the problem. Use Pacifist to help you to remove them.

I've also been having this problem - all other Quicktime content plays but not the keynotes.
The only third party Quicktime related things I have installed are Perian, AC3MovieImport.component (not sure where this came from), Flip4Mac and an EyeTV MPEG Support Component.
Could any of these be the problem? The only one with an associated .pkg is Flip4Mac.

If there are fonts, transitions, builds, video or audio in the PowerPoint file that are not compatible with Keynote, it will either prevent the presentation opening or Keynote will substitute the settings causing playback changes.
I use Open Office to play and open any PowerPoint files sent to me, they play exactly as in PowerPoint.

Can't watch Apple 2010 keynote on macbook pro

Hi guys.
Hoping for some advice, I want to watch the streaming keynote from the apple website on my mac.. the first place you would expect seamless quicktime support. It opens the quick time app, and then is just unwatchable, whether I pic low, medium, high or HD. Anyone else experiencing this?

Adobe LiveCycle Dynamic XML forms & Apple iPad

Are Adobe LiveCycle Dynamic XML forms viewable/useable by Apple iPad and Apple phone or other mobile devices?

According to Adobe, you can with LiveCycle ES4. At least, that's how I read their blog post on ES4 Mobile forms support.
Of course, there have been several discussions started about this in the Adobe forums.

Hey where can I watch all the past Apple Macworld Keynotes?

I was surfing around the Apple website to look for past Macworld Keynotes but it only goes back to the Keynote where the iPhone was introduced is there anywhere else that I can watch other past keynotes?

I couldn't find any doing a Google search. However I did find the MacWorld 2006 Keynote.

Xml formatting - apple tv

I am developing an application on apple TV and would like to know if I can apply external stylesheet or xslt on the xml document.
If no, then please tell me how I can do some styleing on the <description> tag like bold text, breaks etc.

CS6 Project Roundtrip using XML to Apple Color

I have a project in CS6 Premiere Pro, I have exported an XML for color correction to a person using Apple Color. I need to have all my orginal edits for fine tuning and I am supposing the orginal media (MP4's) will change due to color correction. When I bring the project as an XML how will my system link the media? What is the best way to handle this?

You can't export mp4's out of Apple Color, so she might have to go with ProRes. The colorist would export an XML to a new sequence that would contain individual clips that (hopefully) match your edits. You need to make sure the colorist (who should be the one to answer your questions) to add handles so you can make changes afterwards.

True I can purchase something on the online store and wait 2 weeks for delivery but most times Im going to go to an Apple store an purchase what I want right off the shelf. In most cases the staff are to busy to assist and so I like to use the fast purchaseing part of the app and pay for my goods inside the app. Then I can just walk streight out the door woth my paid for item in my hand.
As I said I know I can do this using the iPhone app which doesnt look right on my iPad screen but it wouldnt be that hard for Apple to make an Apple store app only for the iPad. If Apple stand by there product and want things done 100% then I dont understand why they havnt done something about this yet.

Is their a way to download the keynote speech from yesterday? I have QT Pro install on my powerbook.

I was reading on MacWorld that you can download the speech for Quicktime if you have QT Pro. Here is the URL

That looks to be a bit of work, especially if you don't have a knowledge of mIRC and ircII scripting. mIRC scripting can be translated (more or less) into ircII reasonably well (since that is where just about everything started way back when), but Colloquy doesn't support that. Just taking a quick look at some examples, using Colloquy's scripting dictionary seems to be fairly convoluted. There are some examples of Colloquy scripts here.

My iPad will mirror music through my Apple TV but not my keynote presentations

My iPad will only airplay music through my apple tv keynote will not mirror. I'm kind of confused because I just mirrored in our classroom at work Friday with no issues at all. Any suggestions.

The TV shows don't sync to the Apple TV when you purchase them on your iPad, they become available in your purchased list. They probably do thye same on your iPad when you purchase on the Apple TV, but you might be looking in the wrong place.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option which is revealed in the iTunes app on your iOS device by tapping the more button at the bottom of the screen.
