Try pulling the battery for 30 seconds then reboot the phone. If that doesn't work go to the verizion store and see if a new sim card will work. Then there is always the factory reset, which the store might have you do if the new sim card doesn't work.

Assemble components -xml message problem

Hi,
In our 5.2.3.1 we have following problem.
We are assembling components with assemby message:
Sometimes we have not all the identifiers received to the system.
These cases the assembly message returns an error but it assembles part of the components in the message. That is not wanted way of working. After error we should be able to receive the missing component to the system and send the assembly message again. But now part of the components have already been assembled and the assembly message will fail:
No quantity left to assemble for the specified location (Message 13971)
Is there any way of preventing partial assembly of components in this case?

Problem was so long ago...
If I remember correct there were added new tags to XML -message. Something like ALL_OR_NOTHING.
TRUE/FALSE
With this tag we can prevent partial assembly by setting it TRUE.

TS1192 After all the steps I still have a corrupt iphoto 11 Albumdata.xml file. What next?

I have tried all the steps here, except deleting the com.apple.iApps.plist because I don't have one! I deleted it ages ago trying to do this before and it seems it never created a new one. So, none of this steps work. I want to import my iphoto to Picasa.
I'm using a Macbook Pro 13 inch, 500 gig HDD 2011 version, with Mountain Lion and the latest iPhoto 11. iPhoto has been acting iffy for ages even after repairing permissions, rebuilding the library and every step I can find. So I want to switch to Picasa. Am I going to have to manually import and sort pics to Picasa?

Sorry, I read the article on how to fix the problem if other apps cannot see the iPhoto library, because none of the steps there helped me, and it posted my question here.
My problem is that when I open Picasa and select to import my iphoto library it says that I have a corrupted AlbumData.xml file. It still does this even after all of Apples steps to fix it. I have:
1. Checked and repaired permissions
2. Rebuilt my iphoto library
3. Deleted the com.apple.iApps.plist (but it has not returned)
4. Made a new AlbumData.xml file
5. Removed all special characters from album names in iPhoto
Nothing has worked.
All iLife applications can see my iphoto library fine. Another application, Lyn, can now see my iphoto library, but Picasa still keeps insisting it is corrupted. I believe it is true because iphoto is incredibly slow, freezes every few seconds and crashes if left open for longer than a few minutes (which is why I am switching to Picasa in the first place). It uses up over 60% of my CPU just to stay open and slows my computer down to a crawl, a sticky, lagging infuriating to use crawl.
I would prefer to keep using iPhoto as its convenient for my iphone and ipad which I use daily, but its too much to cope with now.

XML message transformation in each step of XI

I was wondering if there is already any article that shows the XML transformation happening in each of the major steps of a XI transaction. I am new to XI and thought this would give me in-depth understanding how a XML is getting transformed as passes through each of the major stages of XI. I have read some of the articles related to XI. These articles are very informative. But like to have a first hand view of what's happening in terms of XML transformation in the processes.

hey the xml transformation actually happens in the message mapping step. This is where the xml gets transformed from one structure to the other.
The other steps in the pipeline are routing type steps.
Just remember L T M. They are the pipeline steps:
Logical Routing
Technical Routing
Mapping
Also you should be aware that the transformation from other formats to XI-XML actually takes place in the Adapter engine before it reaches the pipeline.

IMac G5 Boot-Up Problem - What Next?

Hi, All!
I have 20" iMacG5, 1.8ghz, non-Intel, running 10.4.10
All fine until yesterday morning. On bootup it just gets to the Apple and activity indicator screen and indicator spins indefinitely.
Have tried the following:
1. Unplugged everything but the keyboard and power cord.
2. Zapped PRAM twice
3. Reset the SRM??? (Sorry, forgot the acronym)
4. Safe boot = Same Apple screen then iMac powers off
5. Booting off system disk, running Disk Utilities, getting error message:
The underlying task reported failure on exit (-9972)
6. Booting into single-user mode, using /sbin/fsck/-fy command, performs first three tasks then I also get error message:
I/O error
invalid record count
(3, 54)
**VOLUME CHECK FAILED
7. Using TechTools boot disk, stalls on repair, etc but shows that the HD IS mounting. (error -4)
8. Took the back off to visually inspect for any loose cabling, dirt, etc. All seemed fine.
Anything else? No indications of any trouble the previous evening. Most recent changes to software:
1. Upgraded to 10.4.10 about two weeks ago
2. Upgraded iTunes and QuickTime to most recent versions a week ago
3. Bought newest Video iPod and synched it three days ago
I'm styimied at this point. I wish I could make an OS X boot-up disk to get to the desktop to retrieve some secondary files I haven't backed up (major ones are backed up). I miss OS 9 sometimes. Many more workarounds.
And the thought of having to start all over with a new drive is rather daunting considering all the software I'll have to try to re-register ...

It may be slow, but at least you'll have the data
I do hope that you are using the external as a bootable clone drive, with Archive and Install as your backup app.

Drive Partition and Format
1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Apply button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Security button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
Open Time Machine preferences to select this drive for use as the backup drive. Turn on Time Machine.

If you use extensions like Adblock Plus or NoScript or Flashblock that can block content then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content. 
You can see the installed Firefox extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions".
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

No, the film will be available for 30 days, but once you start watching it the clock will start running and it will expire after 24/48hrs (depending on location).
You said you rented on Apple TV, which has no accessible storage. When you choose to watch it starts to cache to the small flash drive, which is then flushed when you access another movie (or any other content). Everything is streamed so it will need to load each time. If you want to store any content you need to do so via computer.
Network issues can also contribute to seeing such an error. If on wifi, try ethernet. Make sure DNS is set to auto (settings - general - network). You can also see the status of your network by getting a report (istumbler, netstumbler or similar), to look for signal strength, noise, nearby networks.
Other services use adaptive streaming so they won't be much of an issue.

Hi , and a warm welcome to the forums!
Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
If 10.7.0 or later...
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
And sorry to report that OSX is more Widows like than ever, but….
If that doesn't help Reinstall the OS.

Time machine needs its own partition to operate. So you are not going install a OSx Lion on that volume.
If there is enough room you may be able to partition the drive on the fly with DiskUtility
Are you saying you clean installed Lion and you are trying to move your user Data over with TM via the migration Assistant? Please explain.

Hi guys! I've just finished a book (Java - A Beginner's Guide) and some of the tutorials on sun.com and I'm wondering what's the next step?
The reason I'm learning Java is to get a programming job somewhere in the future. I'm in the medical field and I want to change careers. I always loved computers and technology!
I've browsed the job market in our country and a lot of them are looking for J2EE capable people. How do I make the transition to J2EE? Is there a good book available for learning it? How should I prepare next?

You should be able to use it as a guide to develop some test applications on a free application server such as JBoss, Geronimo, Glassfish, or WebSphere Community Edition.
I haven't worked on EJB's since 2003. Nobody seems to use them. Some people are getting back into it now that it's EJB3 but nobody I know. Save EJB for last. Focus on JSP/Servlets, XML, JNDI, Web Services, maybe JMS...
