Xml parser configuration prooblem
Hi
The application I am running is trying to use the Following XML parser
"org/apache/xerces/framework/XMLParser" . BUT i get a NoClassDefFoundError
when i run it. I tam not sure which jar i have to use.
Please can u suggest me ...
1 > HOW to change the Default XML parser used by an application ...
a > BY modifying some File provided by SUN for eg .
b > BY adding JVM parameter before running app.
2> List of Jars which contain this Class
Basically i know that XML parser used by an APP can be changed .
Please can u suggest a solution using point 1a ) or 1b

you want to use this:
org.apache.xerces.parsers.XMLParser
I suggest you study Xerces some more, or check out the examples that you get with the source package.

Is it possible to configure CF10 or CF11 to use Xerces XML parser instead of Saxon XML parser?
Could anyone tell me if it is possible to configure CF10 or CF 11 to use the older Xerces XML parser instead of the Saxon XML parser.
I am in the process of migrating a website from CF8 to CF11. Several sections rely on XML transformation, which no longer work in CF11. After investigating the problem it seems to be that the Saxon Parser is more strict, causing these errors.Well I guess Parsers would be better solution. As u said u need to insert node at specific location.
so now u have to decide which parser u need to choose according to u r requirmnet. DOM or SAX maily.
Both has adv and di-advs.

Since OC4J is preconfigured to use the Oracle XML parser which is xmlparserv2.jar.
i have read the following article which states that
OC4J is preconfigured to use the Oracle XML parser. The Oracle XML parser is fully JAXP 1.1 compatible and will serve the needs of applications which require JAXP functionality. This approach does not require the download, installation, and configuration of additional XML parsers.
The Oracle XML parser (xmlparserv2.jar) is configured to load as a system level library of OC4J through it's inclusion as an entry in the Class-Path entry of the oc4j.jar Manifest.mf file. This results in the Oracle XML parser being used for all common deployment and packaging situations. You are not permitted to modify the Manifest.mf file of oc4j.jar.
It must be noted that configuring OC4J to run with any additional XML parser or JDBC library is not a supported configuration. We do know customers who have managed to successfully replace the system level XML parser and the Oracle JDBC drivers that ship with the product, but we do not support this type of configuration due to the possibility of unexpected system behavior and system errors that might occur from replacing the tested and certified libraries.
If you absolutely must use an additional XML parser such as xerces, then you have to start OC4J such that the xerces.jar file is loaded at a level above the OC4J system classpath. This can be accomplished using the -Xbootclasspath flag of the JRE.
i have also run the following command
java -Xbootclasspath/a:d:\xerces\xerces.jar -jar oc4j.jar
but no success.
How could i utilize my jar's like xerces.jar and xalan.jar for parsing instead of OC4J in-built parser ?

I am trying to deploy a sample xform application to the Oracle Application Server (10.1.3). However, I encountered the class loader issue that is similar to your stuation. I tried all the three solutions but the application is still use the Oracle xml paser class. I am wondering if you have any insight about this?

Im facing XML Parser Error while creating web service client using JAX RPC. Im using Net Beans IDE for development purpose. I have wrote configuration file for client. Now i want to create Client stub. However i dont know how to do this in Net Beans. So i tried to do it from Command promt using command :

here im getting Error:

As our application uses AXIS to do WebServices, we have removed the default oracle xml shared library by using remove-inherited in orion-application.xml. In addition, we package our own xerces in our application ear file. It looks like PDK is looking for oracle xml parser resulting in the NoClassDefFoundError exception.
The above exception is thrown if I access the JDPK provider URL after accessing our application.
However, if I restart the OC4J and ccess the JPDK provider URL without accessing our application, I get the following error

XML Parser Exception in Install of AIA 11.1.1.5 on SOA 11.1.1.5
I am attempting to install AIA Foundation Pack on a SOA domain and continually encounter an XML parsing exception error as the installer is attempting to install WSM security policies. Here are the key details:
AIA version = 11.1.1.5
SOA Suite = 11.1.1.5
WebLogic = 10.3.5
Operating System = Fedora14 (a home lab machine but I don't think this is an OS issue)
The error is encountered about 17 minutes into the lengthy process. Just before the error appears in the installation log, the following message appears indicating roughly what step is being performed:

Any suggestions? Is there a library conflict being picked up between different releases of XercesImpl? I would hope there isn't actually a bad XML file in the AIA artifacts or WSM (Web Service Management) policies being deployed.HI

I have to start workign on a project that involves Variant Configuration stuff that will be sent as XML document. I have to parse the XML document and save the needed data in some custom tables. I heard that there are some standard functions that we can use to do this job. I tried searching SDN for string XML parsing and got tons of postings regarding this. I tried to go through them one by one but it was way beyond my understanding at this time. I am looking for the fundamentals or how to start from scratch.
I would appreciate if anybody can guide me to find some kind tutorial or basic info on where and how to start.

RamXML parsing through CALL TRANSFORMATION is one of the easiest method. A transformation needs to be created as per your XML data in transaction XSLT_TOOL and the transformation needs to be called in ABAP program using "CALL TRANSFORMATION" statement.

In this scenario the Transport Protocol used is FTP.
The remote sender and the receiver system have Golden FTP server installed.
The xml file is getting properly picked from the sender system. The format of this file is:

I also tried sending the file after removing the structure 'ns:file_mt', but it gave the structure missing error message.
Pls if anybody could guide me as to what should be done.

Not in the Mapping of IR.
In BIC Mapping Designer you have to test with the standard Mappings by providing the sample file whether the Conversion is happening correctly or not.
You have to take the same input file that what ever you are having now.
So that it will say clearly what is the problem in converting the XMLto the required EDI Format...
Check whether you have any Date Format Values are comming from the input file.

servlet using jaxp1.1 and crimson.
Following is code:
1- SAXParserFactory spf = SAXParserFactory.newInstance();
2- sp = spf.newSAXParser();
3- xr = sp.getXMLReader();
4- xr.setContentHandler(new ParseXML());
5- xr.parse( new InputSource("Example3.xml"));
This program works fine when execute from command line but in servlet on line
3 it says:
"Abstract Method Error"
I have created XML Registry to use Crimson as XML parser rather than default.
I think somehow wl is still using jaxp1.0 which is built in
support in wlsp1.
Whats wrong with the code...or what configuration i am missing???I'm assuming you have already put crimson.jar first in the classpath for the java
command you use to start WebLogic. If so, have you tried putting the servlet in
a .war file with the crimson.jar in its' WEB-INF/lib directory?
