We are trying to generated a PDF file with bursting which is coming as 0 bytes.
We verified the xdo.cfg file, but could not find any special characters.
The classpath setting for parser is:
/<instance name>/applmgr/common/java/xmlparserv2-904.zip.
Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.

Pl post details of OS, database and EBS versions. Did this ever work before ? If so, what changes have been made ?
Can you post the contents of the xdo.cfg file ?

Issue in XML Publisher Bursting

Hi,
I am using XML Publisher bursting feature to send the output of report as email to the customer.
I have uploaded Data Template and Bursting control file in XML Publisher Data Defination and ran the report.
The report output generating but the bursting feature is not working.
I couldn't able to figure out what is the exact problem b'coz I m not getting any error.
Is there any setup need to be done? or what might be the reason behind this?

CP submitted successfully and getting the output as required but it not generating the email and in log it is not showing any error.
ans I verified OPP log file in that also it is not showing any error.
what could be the reason for not getting an email??
Did I miss any thing to generate the email??

XML Publisher Bursting Program - limitation of email addresses

In the XML Publisher Bursting program we were able to add only 3 email addresses(containing 87 characters) the email was sent successfully.
When we tried to concatenate with another email address (it went up to 115 characters), the email was not sent to any of the email addresses (but the bursting program completed with normal status)
Is there any limitation in adding the email address in the tag

I have to catch xml publisher bursted file in oracle workflow and send it as the content of mail (not like attachment).

The temp directory variable in the XML Publisher is /tmp which has all the permissions.
The control file calls the delivery method (email 123 in the example) and uses the following template

Bursting Program Ends in Error with nothing in the Log file

I have a RDF which calls a bursting program in After report trigger, the problem i'm facing is that the bursting program is completing successfully for a set of parameters and when again the program is run for the same set of parameters the bursting program is ending in error, i have checked the log file but nothing in the log file

Is this a custom or standard concurrent program?
Was this working properly before? If yes, what changes have been done recently?
Did you try to relink the concurrent program executable file and see if this helps? Also, you could enable trace/debug and submit the request again and see if more details are collected in the logs -- See (Note: 296559.1 - FAQ: Common Tracing Techniques within the Oracle Applications 11i/R12).

XML Publisher Bursting - FTP Status Check

"XML Publisher Report Bursting Program" completes successfully even if EMAIL or FTP fails in the bursting process.
See the output file below, last FTP fails but the program completed fine.
Is there a way to check the Status and mark the program error so that we know it's not FTP'ed correctly.

XML Publisher Enterprise Edition's report errors

I have installed XML Publisher Enterprise Edition.when i open it through explorer i can see it's different folder that also have some report as Executive,Financials,HR Manager,Sales Manager,Warehouse Managment.when i try to open reports under these folders as Employee Salary Report under HR it gives error
"The report cannot be rendered because of an error, please contact the administrator".
plz help me how i can view these reports.same problem in my own created report.

Large XML Publisher reports fail with client-error-request-value-too-long

We are running BI Publisher 5.6.3 with Oracle Applications 11.5.10.2 (ATG.H RUP 5), and are having frequent failures with client-error-request-value-too-long messages on large PDF reports that cause the entire report to not print.
The exact error message is as follows:
lp: unable to print file: client-error-request-value-too-long
Pasta: Error: Print failed. Command=lp -c -dPDX_B6_1LJ5200NEAST /logs/temp/pasta3262_0.tmp
Pasta: Error: Check printCommand/ntPrintCommand in pasta.cfg
Pasta: Error: Preprocess or Print command failed!!!
APP-FND-00500: AFPPRN received a return code of failure from routine FDUPRN. Program exited with status 1
Cause: AFPPRN received a return code of failure from the OSD routine FDUPRN. Program exited with status 1.
Action: Review your concurrent request log file for more detailed information.
I have Google'd client-error-request-value-too-long, and found it is a common CUPS issue on Linux. The popular solutions (having /var/spool/cups and /var/spool/cups/tmp) are already in place. Also, the temp files are nowhere near 2 GB (44MB).
Has anyone had this issue with BI Publisher on Linux?

XML Publisher Bursting using different locale settings

Hi,
I have a report that shows numeric fields in different format mask if I select different template each time while submitting request. One template file's language is English and its territory is United States. Other template file's language is German and its territory is Germany. English template shows number like 1,500.94 ( "," comma as digit grouping symbol and "." period as decimal symbol) which is fine. German template shows 1.500,94 ( "." period as digit grouping symbol and "," comma as decimal symbol). So everything is great for me until I am using XML Bursting. Even if I specified german templates in bursting control file the output pdf file shows numeric character like English template. (e.g 1,500.94).

Hi,
I have solved this issue by using <?xdoxslt:xdo-format-number, '999G990D00', 'da-DK')?> in every number fields instead of using different template file with danish language. Bursting also correctly shows number I wanted to be after this changes. So don't bother using different template file in order to show different digit grouping and decimal symbol. It's very simple this way except page total and carried forward totals. I choose number-separators=',.' option in xdofo:show-carry-forward tags.

Sending of email triggered in a background job ends with error.

Hello all,
I have created a API which triggers mail to a distribution list using class CL_BCS. When i execute this API in foreground it works fine and the mails are triggered.
However i am calling this API in a report which will scheduled as a background job in my application and this job executes for some 5 to 6 hours and after that i trigger the mail. However at this point the job gets cancelled due to an abort message raised in
one of the CL_BCS methods.
The method is cl_cam_address_bcs=>create_internet_address which is called in my API and internally this calls many other methods. The abort meessage is thrown from the method instantiate_imp_class of class CL_EXIT_MASTER.
The ST22 log reads like this:

What happened?

Hi!
How you determine sender (method set_sender) ? if you use current user, when it runs on background use a backgorund user and it maybe can not determine an email.
Try force a sender (harcode your user for test when sy-batch eq 'X')
If it works, you need to determine the user to be used on jobs to solve this problem.

Multiple attachments in single mail using XML publisher bursting

Hi all
I am sending the PDF generated to a particular mail recipient using the bursting options.
There is requirement in which I have to attach two different PDF's to the mail. These multiple attachments should go in a single mail. Please let me know how we can achieve this.

XML Bursting program completing in error

I am trying to send the output of XML Publisher report to a specific email id. I have created the following XML Bursting File:

I have added the before report and the after report triggers in the rdf report. However, when I run the report, the XML Bursting program ends in error. The logs print:

Hi,
The reason for the exception is we don't have any data in the file to zip. If you are sending xml data to the data definition check the path in select clause in bursting control file.
