XML/Web Service Load into Delta queue

Hello,
What is the mechanism to push an XML file into the BW delta queue for use by an XML/SOAP or Web service based datasource? There is no XI in the picture so the XI based how/to papers are not germane to this question. The HOWTO paper on XML load has a script for loading an XML file but it errors out on creation of the Activex object, plus it needs XML parser etc. Is there an SAP approved way of routinely loading XML files into the delta queue versus some test script?

This can be done in BW.

Do you know if and when Crystal Reports for Eclipse will support using the XML / Web Service data source? It appears that only JDBC and Java Result Sets are currently supported. Ok, I copied the JARs (such as CRDBXMLServer.jar) from the JRC SDK (from Eclipse all-in-one) onto the Tomcat classpath and got rid of my previous problem. I now get the stack trace below. I also can not find crdb_*.dll files (such as crdb_xml.dll) anywhere on my system other than the service pack 2 rollback directories. How to Output Nodes from XML web service to a FLV?

Hi
I've used AS3 to query a web service and obtain the resulting XML. I need to parse the result down to just a few nodes for a given location. I can tackle that separately. I am wondering how I output the parsed XML to a flash video file (.flx)? The video has place holders for the XML node values. What do I need to do to place the XML results in the video?

By inserting nodes, I mean that the XML web service returns data for each city, which needs to be parsed to just high temp, low temp and current condition. Those 3 values needed to be dispalyed over, or woven into, the video at each city location. My thought was that AS3 could somehow recognize the 3 placeholders for each city and insert the high temp, low temp and condition icon into each placeholder. However, when I import the FLV file into Flash, there are no elements into which I can infuse this data.

Designing and Running CR against XML Web Service

I created a simple XML web service with one method that returns a dataset. This runs on my Windows 2003 Server.The service(.asmx) is called "Applicants". My computer name is aricciardi-2k3s. I got some feed back from support that this driver doesn't work with .NET datasets. I would suggest that in your webservice method that you just return an arrary of regular objects that contain the data you need. That should work with this driver I believe. Converting string data from a web service respons into XML structure of XI

Hi,
We receive a string structure from a web service.
The string structure has an xml type format, that is all the tags and its content are in one line .
The WSDL file of the webservice defines its response structure as a string type.
How do i convert this string into proper XML structure (predefined by me in Integration repository).
OR how do i make XI understand this string as an XML structure for further processing.
Later i have to map this XML message type into IDoc.

Let me give some details and break up the problem
in more specific questions:
- In Designer 8.1 I click new data binding --> wsdl -->

A message box comes up and says "cannot load wsdl file"

Why maybe refuses Designer to load the http-wsdl,
although this option is explicitly allowed?
- When I save the wsdl to a file, Designer loads it
without any problems. The web service uses two input parameters
(CountryName and CityName) and returns an xml-string GetWeatherResult)
like the one in my first posting. I drag these fields from the binding view to my form, and it runs ok!
- THE PROBLEM IS, THAT I NEET TO EXTRACT THE ELEMENT FIELDS
FROM THE RESULT XML-STRING!
==> 2. Question:
How to extract xml element fields from wsdl output into a form?
- I tried with eclipse and XmlSpy to build a modified wsdl file
with structured output definition, so that the specific element fields
show up in the data binding view and are usable to my form,
and the modified wsdl maps consistently to the web service result string.
So far without success: In the PDF -preview or Reader-
when the wsdl-binding is executed and the web service output
should show up in the result fields, just nothing happens.

XML Web Service Question

Hello, I have been asked to research a way to export data from the SAP BW into a remote application. I know nothing about SAP and I have a few questions. We would like to take data from SAP BW and put it in an XML file. Then we would like to automatically invoke a remote web service which will parse the data into the other applications database.
My first questions is can SAP BW export some of its selected data into an XML file? If so how is this done (what tools, components, applications, etc. are necessary) and what is the level of complexity?
My second question is can a remote web service be invoked automatically form the SAP BW and can the previously mentioned XML file be sent out to the web service for parsing and loading? If so how is this done (what tools, components, applications, etc. are necessary)and what is the level of complexity?

Run my web service in custom Execute Queue

i developed my web service using the WorkShop 8.1 Sp3
I created a custom execute queuem in my weblogic server
Can anyone guide how i can instruct my web serivce to run in my custom execute queue.
Always it's going to the Default execute queue.
Found for servlet and jsp the dispatch policy can be specified in the deployment descriptor.
But how i can specify for the web service ?

If you are still in Sp3 then the solution will NOT work.
You cannot edit the web.xml and get it working.
Sp4 is better compared to sp3 and you should be able to run your application on sp4 without any changes.
Below is some details on how it works and why you cannot use it on Sp3:
If you can move to Sp4, yes you can follow the docs provided by Raj (http://e-docs.bea.com/workshop/docs81/doc/en/workshop/reference/configfiles/con_web_xml_ConfigurationFile.html)and configure the dispath-policy in web.xml
After the build the information in web.xml will go into the EJB xml descriptor weblogic-ejb-jar.xml of the workshop internal EJB (SyncDispatcherBean)
Your weblogic-ejb-jar.xml for the SyncDispatcherBean will have
<dispatch-policy>
weblogic.jws.sync.dispatch
</dispatch-policy>
However if you remain on sp3, this config put into the web.xml will not work as the functionality was introduced only in sp4.
For Sp3, BEA does not support the manual editing of the weblogic-ejb-jar.xml of the SyncDispatcherBean as these get regenerated everytime on build.

Web service load error

i can get to it in the browser but wen i press import inxcelsius in the web service connection
i recieve the "can not load URL message
can you help ?

i forgot to say that i run a sniffer and the connection is being opened to the destination so a port security is not the issue

Can someone please offer guidance regarding xml web service?

Hello, I am attempting to write a dashboard that will retrieve data from a database using the GetXML, I have tried many other methods but this seems the only one I can get working.
The issue I have is that in my code it returns only one selecatble parameter and stores the whole entires within it.
Below is an example of the code.
I send from the dashboard the Xcelsius_Value and it returns the xml schema as expected with fieldnames but within one selectable parameter and does not allow splitting into different cells.

with as2 there is no good way:

Unable to deploy a war(includes web services)packaged into EAR on jboss 5.0

I am new to web services and wanted to develop one
I used the following softwares / IDE
Eclipse 3.4.2
Apache Ant 1.7
Jboss AS 5.0.1
JBoss ws 2.0
jbossws-native-bin-dist 3.2.1GA
sun jdk 1.6.0_12
So i started off quite well configuring all that is required to create a web service
i took the help of eclipse ide tools like create web service and create web service clients.
when i created the web project in eclipse i selected the option add project to ear.
and finally i start the jboss server with in eclipse and add project the ear file that contains the war file.
just when i thought all is fine the server throws an error

When you say:
I then copied the 10.1.3 Standalone OC4J to the Solaris 5.9 box which already has JDK 1.5 Update 12 installed. We extracted the OC4J to its own directory , set the Java_Home and the Oracle_Home environment variables and were able to
startup the OC4J instance.
We had some issues when extracting OC4J to its directory but there were no errors displayed on the screen ... Only when we tried starting up the OC4J instance , it started complaining about missing XML files .. This was resolved by manually extracting the XML's from the corresponding jars and placing them in the proper directories ..
It sounds like you have some funky issues there with those missing XML files -- that is not expected or normal.
Do you mean you copied the same oc4j_extended.zip to the server and unzipped it, or you zipped up the directories you were using on the Windows box, copied that over, and unzipped it?
I don't know of any problems with Solaris, JDK5, U12.
What about if you do this to remove any issues with the remote copy aspect of the deployment.
1. Stop OC4J.
2. Manually copy CISS.ear to /home/aplperdev1/ssp_java/oc4j/j2ee/home/applications/
3. Edit the j2ee/home/config/server.xml file and add the entry to deploy the application
4. Edit the j2ee/home/config/default-web-site.xml and bind any web-modules you need.
5. Start the server and see what happens -- the application should be deployed.
Also, what happens if you use the $JAVA_HOME/bin/jar to try and view the contents of the CISS.ear file?
