Xmls in Form Builder

Hello,
I have created a form template using form template and I have created some contents using the form template. Now in the KM Content I am seeing the content created as an xml. But the actual content is all html tags. Some of the info like content created, validity period of the content which i had set in the form template and the content creation are not there in this html. Where can i find the actual xml file which holds all these values? Kindly help.

No. What you get if under System Admin - System Config - KM - CM - Repository Filters - XML Forms Repository Filter, a filter is activated for the repository in question (/documents, for example), is the XSLT "filtered" XML via the XSL of your form definition - and that, of course, is HTML.
You can for example deactivate the filter(s), then you will get the original XML. And there is also a method in the API to always get the unfiltered (original) content: https://media.sdn.sap.com/javadocs/NW04/SP12/km/com/sapportals/wcm/repository/IResource.html#getUnfilteredContent()
The creation date and validity dates on the other side are properties of the document and not saved within the content itself. On such a document, call "Details" and choose the properties, there you will find the dates.

Data Schema tree not expanding in XML news Form Builder

Hi,
I am trying to create XML News, But the DataSchema tree is not expanding I double clicked on the '+' symbol but it is not expanding.
Can any body suggest me why it is not expanding and how to expand the tree of the Data Schema.

Hi Krishna,
there may be 2 possibilities why the node does not expand:
1.) Your browser and/or local JDK-Version is not supported for XML Forms Design Tool
2.) There is nothing to expand. Try to create some nodes below your root node.

XML Forms Builder - problem with checkbox

Hi,
I have created many checkboxes in XML Forms Builder and if I want to create a new document based on this "Form" I have still checked one of checkboxes. I would like to have all empty checkboxes becasue user should check the appropriate checkboxes.
Do you know how to resolve this problem?

is it always the same checkbox that is already filled in? Is this ckeckbox based on a metadata-definition?
If yes: You could maybe have a look at the metadata-definition. Is there maybe a default-value defined?

In XML form builder data schema not clickable

Hi ,
I have installed JRE version 1.6.0_07. When i click on xml foms builder ,it gets opened but when i click on data schema it's not clickable but icon is displayed next to data schema.I am not able to create any node in data schema.

my problem is simular to Aditys: My Java Version is JRE 1.6.0_15. When I go to Content Managment --> Formbuilder, the XML Forms Builder starts automatically but it is not possible to open Data Schema. After downgrade to Java 1.4 I can not start the Form Builder, that means, after clicking on "Form Builder" in the Portal, a pop-up opens, but the XML Form Builder does not load.
Can you help me?

How to make use of the XFList in the Function Bar of the XML Form Builder?

    Now I am creating blog using the XML Form Builder.
    In the bolg publishing interface of the SDN ,there is a tpoics list ,in this list you can select single or multiples.
    I find the XFList in the Function Bar of the XML Form Builder.But I don't know how to make use of this list?Who can help me?

In the Attributes of a screen field, there is an attribute called "Groups". This has 4 options for input (4 text boxes)
SCREEN has 4 fields GROUP1, GROUP2, GROUP3 and GROUP4.
The first text box under Groups attribute corresponds to SCREEN-GROUP1,
2nd text box for SCREEN-GROUP2
3rd text box for SCREEN-GROUP3
4th text box for SCREEN-GROUP4

Attachments in XML Form Builder

Hello
I have created a XML Forms Builder Project.
News Author will create News using this form and attach Documents to the news.
for ataching document I am using a Schema Element with datatype set as rid .
from this element i created a Browser control .
At run time , i am able to select files from KM using the browser control.
But while Viewing the News when i click on the Hyperlink for that control
it opens up the same news again .. (its referencing self instead of the document)
What property setting i am missing ?
what is the correct way to attach documents and view them using a project created by XML Forms Builder ?

Problem in XML Form Builder development

I am developing some KM Navigation iView template with XML Form Builder . I create a label , when it be clicked , relative files will be download to local PC. But the caption of the label is the complete path of the file, not "file down" which I expected.

Anonymous access to XML Form Builder file

Hi to all
I create a XML Form Builder project to create a method for news publishing.
I use an KM navigation iview tath containing XML file.
If i authenticate me on the portal i view all correctly.
the problem is with anonymous user, the portal required me autentication.
I setting the folder permission where the XML file is stored.
I setting the permission for the KM Document Iview.
I view correctly image, html file, ecc with anonymous user.

That is not related to my issue.
Here this error only comming for two users in my group.
The environment every thing working for remaining user. But only that two users are facing the problem.
So please let me know is there any security issues.

Hi,
In XML Form
1) Edit form is used for designing the user interface.
2) Show form is used for displaying the xml form to the end user
3) RenderListItem is used for rendering the xml form into a small description like 1News1, 2news2 etc..
    Here you need to display only the heading of the xml form
After you create the xml form
Create Layout set where you need to give the proerties like xml renderer form , no of items to display etc...

ERROR for save a form created in XML Form Builder

Hello everyone:
I am having an error message when I try to save a form in the XML form builder and I donk know what I need to do for fix it.
Warning:
An error occurred when copying temporary files. The saved project state can be opened in the XML Form Builder, but the old state will be generated. The error was: An unexpected error occurred: null.
If anyone knows how to fix it I'll thanks your help!

Populating dynamic values in the combobox with XML form Builder.

I am trying to populate dynamic value in the combobox with xml form builder. I see the document saying create property group and document property Id with respecitive values. I am able to create the property group with system admin -> System config
-> KM -> CM -> Global services -> property Metadata -> groups with new button. and I am trying to create document property Id with value. I am not able to find the way to give value in the property. I am using EP 7.0 Sp 14. Please let me know how to sovel it

Hi
You can create new property metadata with System Admin > System Config > KM > CM > Global services > Property Metadata > Properties > New. Specify the values for this metadata as the ones you need to have in the combo box. Use allowed values parameter of the matadata to sepcify the values. Each metadata property will have unique property ID and you can map this property ID to your combo box in xml forms.
Give it a try.

XML Forms Builder Errors after SP Stack 14 upgrade

Hello,
I upgraded development portal to NW04s SPS14 (from SPS11).
In XML Forms Builder, try to open my existing project but not succedd. I get the message "Operation Timeout".
"The current operation timed out and was aborted. This was caused by network communication problems . Some data may have been lost.try again later"
After click cancel, I get a second message:
"There are no projects stored on the server"
In KM content, etc folder, xmlforms , I can see all my projects !!!
Of course, no network problems exists.. portal is working ok, ...
I applied OSS note 1150307 - "Internal Server Error when accessing XML Forms Builder" but I have the same problem.
Any idea¿?

Hello, I did a test...
from the same client machine ...(with JRE 1.6.0_03) I start XML Forms ....
with SPS11 portal, I can see the Projects.
With SPS14 portal, I can not see the projects

XML Forms Builder - Create XML in external System

Hi,
Is it possible to create a XML file in a system external to Portal (the DataModel is the same) and after uploading it to the Portal and obtain the same behavior (rendering) of a XML created in Portal by the form generated by XML Forms Builder?
I've tried to do it, but the file is not rendered as expected.(It appears the XML File but not rendered by the XSL generated by XML Forms Builder).
