    Hi,
I am using SeeBurger VAN/FTP adapter for IDOC-XI-EDI scenario.

I am able to configure Host, Port, User id and password.

    HI Madan,
Can you please tell me which VAN provider you are meant to use? It is the same question which Prateek asked above 'which protocol' without this it is hard to help dude.
    I just checked and half of them don't want you to use this field 'host path;
Also the error is different ...
    1) Are you doing FTP or FTPS?
    2) which VAN/Protocol

  • RFC Adapter - Where to Register Rfc2XmbService (Sender System or XI ?)

    Experts,
    I have the following scenario:
    R3 --> RFC_ADAPTER --> XI --> SOAP --> THIRD_PARTY
My specific question is, In which system do I need to register the Rfc2XmbService program. Is this done in the R3 system or in the XI system.
If it is done in the R3 system then where is it done cause there is no J2EE administration tool in R3.
Could someone explain exactly what this registration concept is.
Thanks and appreciate any help in advance.
    - Ravi
--- I have figured this one out already. The program needs to be registered in XI and Not the sender system.
    Thanks

    Hello,
the Rfc2XmbService registers itself when you activate the RFC adapter in the Configuration but you can preallocate it through the Visual Admin.
Further by default are logging for sync calls not enabled, e.g. you don't see anything in SXMB_MONI.
Therefore go to SXMB_ADM and the Integration Configuration option and under the RUNTIME specific option create an entry for
    RUNTIME LOGGING_SYNC 1 (0 is default).
Also make sure that the rfc adapter is activate in the AdapterFramework overview. On the target system call transaction SMGW and go to logged on clients to see if you see the Rfc2Xmb Service. Then in SM59 of the R/3 system you should have an entry pointing to the Rfc2Xmb service and a test should give you an idea if it works.
    I'm doing R/3 4.6c -> XI 3.0 -> R/3 Enterprise about 20 BAPIs, no issue.
    I hope this helps.

  • FTP Adapter where FTP server is SSH Tectia Server for IBM z/OS

We are purchasing "SSH Tectia Server for IBM z/OS" as the secure FTP server.
    1. Has anyone used this with Oracle FTP Adapter to securely FTP files to the mainframe?
    2. What is the best way to maintain the username and password in the oc4j-ra.xml of the FTP adapter?
    3. Can this user and password be encrypted?
    Thanks

    HI,
Unfortunately there are some concerns with FTPS connectivity with XI.
As you know SFTP is not yet possible with XI, but somehow you could use FTPS.
Please confirm below things this may help you
    1. Please make sure to Activate Secure Storage in the File System after Deploying the SAP Java Cryptographic Toolkit. Check below thread for the detail procedure
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/cd/14c93ec2f7df6ae10000000a114084/content.htm
    2. You can go for Third Part adapters such as Seeburger adapter AS2, OFTPS etc. for better connectivity with FTPS

    3. Search the options of your client's software to find where its public and private keys are stored, these are 2 files present on the FTP server, then put the Public key of the XI server on the Client FTP Server and likewise for the Public Key of the FTP Server on the XI Server.
This enables the SSL handshake, i.e. Exchange of certificates.

  • HTTP adapter: where to see the transformed output message

    All,
I am a beginner in Webservices/HTTP interfaces in PI. I have to make changes on an existing custom interface which uses HTTP adapter. I have done the changes in the message mapping and tested it using the test tool. It seems OK.
However when we do end-to-end testing, data is flowing but  bussiness needs a copy of the transformed data that has been sent out from PI.
I checked RWB->Message Monitoring-> Integration server(Database) and it showed the successful message. When I drilled further into this message, it showed the SOAP message (Version 0 and Version 1 with payload). The payload showed the data that ECC had sent to PI and not the transformed data that went out from PI to 3rd party via HTTP adapter.
Appreciate if you could guide me in right direction regarding where to see the Output/Transformed data that is actually sent to third parties.
I have checked SXI_MONITOR as well in PI but that also shows the payload only and not the transformed data.
    Regards
    SK

  • JMS adapter : Where is JNDI user administered ?

Hi all, we are testing a JMS adapter in a PI7.1 (no eHp).
The JMS adapter needs a JNDI user and
password for JNDI lookups by remote clients.
I'm puzzled about the administration of this JNDI user.
    My question :
can this user-ID be just any userID in the system ?
or is it a user ID that is indicated in the Visual Admin ? if so, where ?
if it can be any user, what rights does it need for a JNDI lookup ?
Or (shudder...) should I really start editing XML property files ??

    Hello,
You can see the explanation per sap note below:
#856346 - J2EE JMS Adapter: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
2.6) I am connecting to a JMS provider using JNDI mode. How do I add pass an extra name, value property pair while setting up the JNDI initial context?
Answer: Assuming that your property value is a string, please add the following name, value pair in "JMS Additional properties" table of your channel configuration:
    JNDI.InitialContext.property.X=java.lang.String propertyName,
    java.lang.String propertyValue
where X is a number, the LHS part needs to be put in the name column and the RHS part in the value column of the table respectively.

  • Need Power Adapter - where to buy?

    Hi folks,
My trusty 12" Powerbook's power adapter is slowly falling apart.
Is it possible to purchase official ones still? I can't find any on the website, and i don't want to risk getting one from Amazon / eBay due to random third-party ones that may not work.

  • "mini DIN" to Standard Adapter - where did they g

Is there any way someone can get one of these adapters? Or is there another option for connecting standard MIDI cables to the (first) Soundblaster Audigy card? My card only came with one adapter and I need another one. Is it possible to get one in the USA?Message Edited by damagd on 04-7-200703:48 AM

Thanks for the link Joeywhat, but as I said in my original post, I li've in the US. I know that the cable is available from Dolphon Music, but this shipping charge to the US would be ?40, which would make the total cost nearly US$00.
Jupata, I know the cable is available in a couple of E-MU cable "bundles", but again, these are apparently not available for sale in the US.

  • MSI VOX TV Tuner USB 2.0 - POWER ADAPTER WHERE TO BUY!

I purchased a generic power adapter from radioshak.
it works perfect to power the msivox box.
    It has selectable volts on it. 3, 4.5, 6, 7.5, 9, and 12
    2A
I have it set to 4.5 volts, as 6 is to much and 3 is not enough.
you might be able to find something with more options on it.
The beauty with this thing is that you can purchase ANY
end you want, and it just happens that radioshak
also carries an end that fits the MSI vox.
The end is classified as "A" size.
When you plug the end into the power adapter,
make sure that you align the word TIP (on the p.a. cord) with the (-)negative side of the size "A" end  you bought
The cost was around $1.50 for the end
and $20 for the adapter, however, I had it before I bought the msivox. lucky me!
There is a slight humming noise if I push the size A end to far into the msivox, I assume this creates
some sort of interference, so to eleviate the noise, I just slowly remove the end until the noise stops,
but before the unit loses power from loss of contact.
    hope this helps.

A generic adapter should work just fine although you may need to install drivers for it.
Incidentally the new 2nd gen X1 Carbon uses a proprietary connector, not USB. You can buy a replacement for it from Lenovo or less expensively by googling on the FRU number and buying from an independent seller. The advantage of using the proprietary adapter rather than a generic USB adapter is that it saves the USB ports for other uses.

  • Apple DVI to Video Adapter

    Hello all,
I recently purchased this Samsung TV which I would like to hook up to my computer to watch videos. Here are the TV complete specs:
    http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/detail/spec.do?group=televisions&type=televis ions&subtype=lcdtv&model_cd=LNT3253HX/XAA&fullspec=F
As you can see I have the following inputs on the TV:
    Input & Output(Side)
    HDMI 1
    composite (AV) 1
    S-Video 1
    Headphone 1
    Input & Output(Back)
    HDMI 2
    composite (AV) 1
    S-Video 1
    PC input (D-sub) 1
    Component(Y/Pb/Pr) 2
As instructed by one of the guys at the Apple store, I got today an Apple DVI to Video Adapter, and I have a RCA Audio Cable Adapter (that I used in my previous laptop, an iBook). I also have another cable that I don't know the name but it fits in the hole of the adapter where there is a TV-display icon. I used all of these but have no computer image on the TV...
What am I doing wrong? Do I need a "S-Video" cable? Where should I plug the cables on the TV?
I hope someone can help me!
    Thanks!

Hey Rhyd, thank you for your reply!
Here is a complete list of audio and video features. I guess there are some audio features in the Input & Output (side and back) lists too. Do you think I have this optical audio input? - perhaps the "composite (AV)"? :
    AUDIO
Sound Effect System SRS TruSurround XT
    Sound Output(RMS) 10W x 2
    Input & Output(Side)
    HDMI 1
    composite (AV) 1
    S-Video 1
    Headphone 1
    Input & Output(Back)
    HDMI 2
    composite (AV) 1
    S-Video 1
    PC input (D-sub) 1
    Component(Y/Pb/Pr) 2
I usually use a Bose system with a subwoofer and two tiny speakers I have when I watch movies. I connect it to the headphone output of the TV. How would it work with this? This is the system:

    Thanks again!

  • Magsafe adapter issue

I purchased a non apple 60 watt magsafe adapter after my 2 year old macbook pro was having issues, I replaced the battery with a apple battery and the non charging issue continued, I would have to wiggle or place a phone on adapter where it magnetically attaches to laptop to get it to charge.  The light goes on and off at will, and in order to chjarge it I have to play with it.  The second adapter I bought worked great for 67 cycels and is now doing the same thing.. IS it the adapter or something more sinister? I tried to inform apple of the issue a few years ago and did not get anywhere.  Any advice?
