XMP in InDesign, Where do instance and document id's come from?

I'm trying to integrate with Adobe InDesign and a plugin the is already created. Where do Instance and Document Id's come from? Are they meaningful or just a place holder to identify a file?

Are you talking about the Document IDs from the Media Management Schema (xmpMM:DocumentID)? If so, those are generated by the CS apps, usually on Save/Save As.. commands, and are designed really to be used by DAM systems.
See the XMP Specifcation on Page 43. It discusses the MM Schema.
Hope that helps.
Cheers,

  • Where did the iPhoto 10 iCloud Photostream come from and how do I get rid of it?

I just updated my MacBook Air to mavericks.  I have an iPad and iphone as well just updated to ios7.  My Mac updated iPhoto as well.  Now when I opened iPhoto I got my flickr and Facebook integrated folders in the left pane plus an iCloud photostream.
I didn't have that before and it has 287 pictures pulled from many devices but I didn't set that up.  I only had/have a private photostream with a particular name and about 10 pics in it.  this new one is just called iCloud photostream and it has 287 pics of which some I know I took with my iPad and others with my iphone.  I of course sync both devices with my Mac so this pics are in my iPhoto library as well.
Where did the iPhoto 10 iCloud Photostream come from and how do I get rid of it?

In the iPhoto preferences turn PhotoStream off

  • Move a folder, sub-folders, and documents under that folder from one document library to another within a Workflow

    Hello,
I'm building a workflow in SharePoint Designer 2010 (Unfortunately we are not on 13 yet), and in that workflow I need to move a folder (with all it's sub-folders and items) from one document library to another document library.
I tried a copy item but that kept failing, I checked content type, columns, and permission and it all looks good.
the other option I started looking into is to Create the folder in the document list and them move all the items under that folder to the new folder. However I can't figure out how to loop through each items in that folder.
Has this issue been addressed? or does someone has a solution.
I looked and searched and all I found was tutorials on moving single items into a folder, but not entire folders.
    Thanks
    Hani

Why to take pain in creating a workflow that copies folders, sub-folders and all of its contents from one document library to another.
Simply open your source and destination document library in Windows Explorer mode and start copying your folder, sub-folders and contents that you want to copy out of the box.
You will find "Open with Explorer" button under the Library tab on the ribbon of document library.
Please remember to click 'Mark as Answer' on the reply if it helps you

  • Where does the «On my Mac» mailbox come from ?

Hi ...  In the my Mail's Trash mailbox in the sidebar, recently a sub mailbox called «Sur mon Mac (On my Mac)» mailbox (see here) was created.  Where does it come from and what is it's purpose?

If you add/import your own mailboxes (I have a lot of them because I like to be organized), the system will automatically add a separate trash can for anything you may delete from one of those because the system treats those separately and, by default, assigns them to "on my Mac". If you delete anything from one of your own folders (not the system default mailboxes), it will wind up in the On My Mac trashcan.
Any mailbox under my heading of IMPORT is considered "on my mac".

  • Where do these C?_ columns come from?

I have an interface using DBLink. When I tried to insert data to the target table, I got the following query. I don't know where these C?_ come from? The KM just select expression from source and source table only has columns without C?_. The source table is populated by previous interface using FILE to SQL, which generate these C? column for work table. But it is just work table and the target table for the previous interface has all correct column name.
    Thanks

All KM I used work for another case. The only difference between these two cases is on the previous interface. For the one which is working, the target table in previous interface (which will be used as source for current interface) is populated by another table. For the one which is not working, the target table in previous interace is populated by flat file joined with other tables.

Every 2 hours redo is backed up to tape.
There are no significant batches, shaking and shuffling the data around all the time.
Nearly all changes in this database is happening through user inputs.
Database is 11gR2 on Redhat 5.6.

I am afraid there is no easy and direct way to pull the answer from the data dictionary.
But with some work, you can get to the bottom of this.
This query shows you how much redo is used by the sessions in your system currently:
    select a.sid , a.value  from v$sesstat a,  v$statname b
    where a.statistic# = b.statistic#
and b.name = 'redo size'Unfortunately, I am not aware of a AWR view (license required!) that corresponds to v$sesstat, so it would not be easy to look back and see which session generated the redo.
One way is to troubleshoot the problem online, using a utility such as snapper- http://blog.tanelpoder.com/2010/03/22/oracle-session-snapper-v3-10/ . See which sessions generate most redo and see what SQL they are running at that time.
The other way is to create your own “repository”. Sample V$SESSION, v$sesstat , v$statname and possibly V$SQL frequently (every few seconds) and record how much redo and what SQLs are running by each session. Once you gather enough data, look which sessions had the biggest “redo size” delta and what SQL were they running at that time.

  • Where does a file called "sun_jch.jar" come from?

    Hi,
we're using jdk142_05 from Sun with Bea Weblogic on a Sun Fire V240 running Solaris 8.
Some days ago, as part of a testing, the network interface connecting this server to the database server (Oracle 9) was shut down abruptly while Weblogic was running.
After restoring the connection to the database, all the applications using that jdk were perfoming very slowly their database queries (even if they were outside Weblogic).
It took us a long time to determine that a jar file called sun_jch.jar located in the jdk142_05/jre/lib/ext folder was the root cause of the problem.
It contained a lot of classes related to oracle and their creation date was exactly the date when the connection to the database was cut.
Does anybody know is this file comes from Weblogic or from the JVM itself? I can not find any information about it over internet.
    Thanks!

    Hello again,
yesterday I found a tool called "Javac Compiler Helper", available at http://freshmeat.net/projects/jch/.
I don't know it this tool can anyhow be related to the file I mentioned, as the initials match "sun_jch.tar".
We're not using this tool, but it's the only thing I've found over Intertet.
    Regards!

  • How to use ADS on SolMan instance and SAP standard PDF forms from ERP

    Hi there
We have installed and configurated the ADS service on our Solution Manager (SolMan) Instance called SD1.
SolMan Info: SAP Solution Manager 7.0; Stack 17; Java-Stack installed; SAP Netweaver 7.0
All ADS test reports can be executed successfully:
    FP_TEST_00
    FP_PDF_TEST_00
We have linked our ERP landscape (e.g. system ED1) to ADS service running on SolMan.
ERP Info: ECC 6.0; Stack 13; no Java-Stack installed
All ADS test reports can be executed successfully:
    FP_TEST_00
    FP_PDF_TEST_00
We want to print PDF documents from SAP standard applications on our ERP landscape. Therefore we want to use standard PDF forms provided by SAP and also available in transaction SFP (e.g. form ISSR_NW670_RX_PDF).
Problem: When we try to create a PDF document from the application we get an error message:
Processing exception during a "Render" operation.#Request start time: Mon Feb 02 13:42:08 CET 2009#com.adobe.ProcessingException: Problem accessing data from Destination: dest:FP_ICF_DATA_ED1//sap/bc/fp/form/layout/ISSR_NW605_PDF.XDP?fp-language=DE&fp-cac
I have also checked the trace (see below) and it seems that the system tries to get the form from the SolMan system and not from the ERP system. But the form is only installed on ERP system.
Are there any ideas how to solve this problem?
    Thanks.

    Hi there
Our problem is solved. We had a problem with our ADS user passwords.
    Thanks.

  • What happenrd tu our albums and where did a bunch of empty files come from?

We have recently had problems with iPhoto 4 (See my message there) and tried solving at least some of them by upgrading to '06. The installation seemed to go smoothly and when I received message that a photo library was found and did I want to import it I said yes, assuming it was my old library. Well it took a while to bring in about 6300 pictures. Before I continue let me add that I had copied (drag/drop) the -4 library to second hard drive for backup. I had also carried out an Archive and Reinstall trying to solve other problems.
I now have two new problems:
    1. Eventhough the photos seem to have come through OK we lost our albums. Is there a way to recover them? My wife put a lot of time into several of them and she is NOT PLEASED!
    2. Now my library has been expanded to about 12,000 files. I can't say photos since it appears a second file containing nothing was created for almost all of the photos, I can't see a reason a few were skipped. If you try to edit one of these "photos" the rainbow circle appears and the program freezes, a force quit of iPhoto is the only way to gain control of the computer. This also happens if one of the blanks is included in a slideshow. I can delete them but I may wear out my mouse clicking on all of the blank files. They have the same id as a photo that does behave properly.
My best guess is that aliases were somehow taken through the transformation. //is there a way to aviod these problems when I upgrade our 15" Powerbook?
    Thanks.
    Bill

    OB:
Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Does you backup copy of your V4 library contain all of your photos? That is have you added any to the new library that's giving you trouble? If not then try the following:
1 - copy your backup library folder to your HD and name it something like "Primary Library" and put it in your Pictures folder.
2 - download and run BatChmod on the Primary Library folder with the settings shown here, substituting your account name for mine. You can either type in the path to the folder or just drag the folder into that field.
3 - launch iPhoto with the Option key depressed and, when asked, select the Find library option.
4 - navigate to the Pictures folder and select the Primary Library folder.
Then you'll go thru the upgrade process again. See if that won't get you thru it OK.
If albums are lost the pictures will still be in the main library.
    Do you Twango?

  • Where does Manual Feed as a Default Come From

A couple of computers on the school network, when printing to a network laser (different kinds) always send out manual feed jobs. This is true whether they IP print directly to the printer or through a server queue. We had tracked down a reference in the com.apple.print.custompresets.plist to "manual feed," so deleted the plist. The plist was recreated and had the same reference to manual feed. With unaffected computers - the same plist does not have this "manual feed" reference. Where is the system getting the instruction for manual feed? We've been to the print dialog settings, and paper feed is set to Auto Feed, but when we print, the job is configured as manual. Any ideas what to try next?
Notes: It makes no difference whether the user is local or server-based, a standard user or administrator. From the affected machine, all print jobs to certain printers are manual feed. Printers in System Preferences have been deleted and recreated to no avail.

look for a setting in the CUPS admin page:
    http://localhost:631
    Or,
change the default in the .ppd file.

  • Where do the SharePoint components for Powershell come from?

I am just learning and I am trying out some scripts. As soon as I type in the Get-SPWeb command I get something like this.
    PS C:\Windows\system32> $web = Get-SPWeb "https://xyz.sharepoint.com/"
The term 'Get-SPWeb' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program. Check the spelling of the name, or if a path was included, verify that the
path is correct and try again.
    At line:1 char:17
    + $web = Get-SPWeb <<<<  "https://xyz.sharepoint.com/"
        + CategoryInfo          : ObjectNotFound: (Get-SPWeb:String) [], CommandNotFoundException
        + FullyQualifiedErrorId : CommandNotFoundException
Can someone please point me in the right direction?
    Thanks
    karl

    Hi Karl,
If your workstation is on the same Active Directory domain as your SharePoint farm, you can also access SharePoint remotely via PowerShell remoting. You need to enable PowerShell remoting on your SharePoint servers and connect to them using PowerShell. Think
of this as SSH and running an interactive console remotely.
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/ff700227.aspx
Once you're in the PowerShell remoting session, you can load the SharePoint PowerShell modules as was suggested earlier.

  • Where do entries in master data table come from?

    Hi,
we have an InfoObject used in lots of cubes, ods and so on. Now there are entries in master data table, that are not correct - and they can´t be deleted, since they are used in some InfoProvider.
Is there a way to find out what entry in masterdata table is used which InfoProvider?
    Thanks for your help!
    Angelika

    Hi Angelika,
    Yes, there is a way.
Execute deletion of master data. Only not used data may be deleted.
Then run SLG1 t-code, find the last deletion log, expand the node, double click beneath it and see messages that will tell you which infoproviders contain some particular master data and don't allow to delete these master data.
    Best regards,
    Eugene

  • .class and .length - where do they come from?

    hi,
I was wondering about the field .length, which you can invoke on an array
    int anIntArray[] = new int[10];
    System.out.println("length="+anIntArray.length);
    this would produce the output
    length=10
But where does this field come from? I can not find it in the Object-class.
The same thing applies to the .class:
    System.out.println("String's class="+String.class);
    would produce the output
    String's class=class java.lang.String
Where does the .class in String.class come from? And is it a field, an operator or something else?
Are there any other "hidden" fields or operators, which are not keywords or come from Object?

Arrays are objects so they can have fields. The length field defined in the classes for the arrays. These classes are created on the fly by the JVM so you won't be able to see the fields in any source code or JavaDoc documentation.
'.class' isn't a field at all. When you put '.class' on the end of a class name what you get is a class literal. Class literals evaluate to an instance of the Class class. Try compiling a small example using '.class' and then take a look at the produced java bytecode using 'javap -c'.
