XMPPGateway and Firewalls - can't connect to googletalk

This has myself (the developer) and the firewall guys really
stumped. I am trying to use talk.google IM service to launch an IM
bot using the CF gateways. Everything works well on my local
install of CF server but once we move it to our dev server and
setup up the instance, the gateway cannot connect to talk.google.
Firewalls have port 5222 wide open. AND.... I downloaded the
gtalk client onto the server and it connects through that without
issue. Does anyone have any idea?
the error in the logs is "XMPPGateway (xxxx) Error trying to
connect to talk.google.com: Connection failed. No response from
server."
pertinent config settings are:
resourceName=ColdFusion
secureprotocol=TSL
securerequirement=false
serverip=talk.google.com
serverport=5222

Wow, not 2 minutes after I posted this I figured it out. I had to go into Server Preferences and in there was able to turn on file sharing. So that was stupid of me and an easy fix. Now it can be accessed easily from the imac and macbook.
Sorry for the waste of space.

You can use any computer but your data will be lost if you have no backup.

You have to restore the device within iTunes. You want to use the same computer that you always sync with so that you can restore your app data and settings. You can restore with any other computer, but you will lose everything on the iPad.

I changed my password on Airport Express and now can't connect in iTunes. It does not ask for password ,I just see trying to connect and it fails. How do I enter new password in iTunes when it just keeps trying to connect ?

Update on my problem connecting in Itunes with my Airport Express. Not sure if anything I tried made a difference

I am curious if possibly the hotel has some sort of VOIP block on. Have you tried Skype? Did you talk to the hotel staff? My husband is traveling to Milan in a couple of days and I wonder if he will run into the same issue. He has had no problems from Istanbul but he is staying in a corporate apartment there. I have the exact same problem trying to use the Remote app on both my iPhone 3gs and iPad 2 with either my Mac or ATV2. My Remote app used to work on my phone - I can't recall if I ever actually used it with my iPad, but when I tried today, I got all the same results as you did (on both iPad, and then iPhone). I was using my ATV2 to play music from iTunes on my Mac and wanted to use the Remote app, but it would not connect to either device no matter what I did.

Can anyone help me? Since upgrading to v6 of the iphone software the other day, all my contacts have gone, and I can't connect to orange contacts restore to get them back, or access my email. Other web pages seem ok.
When I try to connect to the orange backup app, the connection just times out and says connection error. When I try to access my email it says verify i have put the correct a/c info into mail settings.
Both things were fine before I updated.

Although in most countries Apple offers an out of warranty replacement for a nominal fee. In the US it is $199 for the 4S and $149 for older generations of the iPhone. Depending on where you are, that may be an option.
