Xp login accept any password !!

I've never seen such weird thing before,
I have windows xp sp2 in a domain and with 2 local admin user (administrator and another one), after a while I've been using my Domain User , wanted to use one of the my local users and suddenly I found out by entering any password I can login!!,. its true
for both accounts. don't know how long time it has been like that.
and now I've changed passwords several time but no succeed,
created another admin account , wow it was successful for that account !! but just until next restart. it has got password free as well !!!.

Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Can't accept any password dialogs in KDE [PARTIALLY SOLVED]

Hi,
Since my last upgrade (yesterday, hadn't updated for a week), im having problems to enter any password inside KDE's password dialogs (kdesu, kwallet, kontact, kopete....)
The passwords just type in fine, but the "accept" button, or pressing enter wont do anything. The password dialog just stays there.
Using Arch x86_64.

As said in the bug report, you can use a workarround to fix this by disabling the "3 star input" option in system settings.

TS2634 I can't open email. Keeps asking for my yahoo password. Will not accept any password I put in. When I try to reset, it wants to confirm to an alternate email, which I do not have?

My email app will not longer display my messages. It asks for my yahoo password and then accepts none of the passwords I ever remember using. When trying to reset the password, it prompts me to use an alternate email address which I do not have? Any advise?

Can you sign in at yahoo.com?
If you can sign in then it's not a password problem.
Yahoo servers have been having probelms with not accepting the right credentals on mobile devices.
The only two ways I have seen this type of issue are to simply wait and keep trying or:
Sign into yahoo.com on a comptuer.
Sign into yahoo.com on the device
Delete the account that you have added and attempt to re-add the account - about a 50% chance the account won't re-add to the device.
If this doesn't work then your back to the first option to wait till it works again.

Apple ID's can be used for anything, a single ID can be used for all your accounts (ie iCloud, iTunes, MAS, Apple community etc), ideally this would be the way forward. So far as iTunes goes you need to continue to use the same ID as you have always used or you will lose access to your previous purchases and your iTunes match subscription.
If you are using a second ID for iCloud, you can continue to do so or use the ID you use for iTunes, but if you choose the later you will need to move all your calendar, contact etc data to the account using the ID you use for iTunes.
When (if) you change which account you use you would delete the account on an iOS device and log back in with the correct details, on a mac you would sign out in the iCloud system preference pane.

I am a beginner in oracle development, I have installed Oracle 11gR2. then, I created 2 databases.
the problems i face are that

using command Prompt -> sqlplus
and login with username: sys as sysdba
however it accepts any password!!!!! why does it accept any password?
How do I know which database has it connected to?
2)when I want to create a connection in SQL Developer, It giving error saying that the network adapter could not establish connection.

for the "any password" issue, that's because you are making a local connection, using an OS account that is a member of the os DBA group. It's called OS Authentication, if you want to read up on it in the Oracle docs. Which you should
As for how to know which database you are connected to , or how to select which database you connect to .. if you are doing a local connection, you make the selection by setting the enviornment variable ORACLE_SID to specify which database you want to connect to. If connecting to a remote database, you specify a 'net service name', like this:

Back up all data.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
Select the login keychain from the list on the left side of the Keychain Access window. If your default keychain has a different name, select that.
If the lock icon in the top left corner of the window shows that the keychain is locked, click to unlock it. You'll be prompted for the keychain password, which is the same as your login password, unless you've changed it.
Right-click or control-click the login entry in the list. From the menu that pops up, select Change Settings for Keychain "login". In the sheet that opens, uncheck both boxes, if not already unchecked.

Lockscreen Problem! (Login at login screen but goes to lockscreen & not accept [correct] password)

I currently have the problem where my MBP wont login properly. What would happen is I login at the login screen, it will accept my password and appear to start logging into my account, but then it goes to the lock screen - I type in my password (same one I typed into the login screen) and it will come back as name or password incorrect (even though they are correct).
I have done the following to try fix the problem:
Restart
Shutdown and leave for 5 minutes
Reset PRAM and NVRAM
Installed the installation disk and:
Gone to disk utility and verified/repaired the permissions and disk
Reset the password for my account and Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs
I don't have a backup before it started playing up so I dont want to restore it from a backup. Open to any suggestions, or if know of someone who had the same problem in another discussion/forum/etc a link would be good.

Do you have another Admin account on the machine?
Can you log into that?

You can't use the 10.6 disk to repair the 10.7 drive, you need to use Recovery HD parititon.
It might be possible to create another Admin user account on the machine at Single User mode, this way you can get in and copy your recent files out of the non-logging user.
However Firewire Target Disk mode with another Mac would be easier and safer.
Once the files are out, then the drive/partition can be erased or just that one user account.
A Reinstall of Just OS X may cure the problem too.

When I try to re-set the password, a e-mail will be send to an address I no longer use and can't access.
I then try to answer the security questions, but the date of births I enter are not accepted

Welcome to the Apple community.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID, verify the changes, enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone".
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, verify it once again, delete the iCloud account from your device and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

TS1398 I have been having network problems on my Ipad and I reset all network settings as advised in the article about problems connecting to networks. Now my Ipad will not allow me to sign onto any network....it will not accept the passwords for any net

My ipad has been a little glitchy for the last couple of weeks....not able to load pages because of DNS lookup failure and really slow loading...some of which has to do with the DSL service I have, but I followed the directions on one of the Apple wi-fi issues pages to reset network all connections..which I did, and now the Ipad cannot connect to WiFi because it will not accept (or cannot resolve..or??) password. I am sure I am typing the password correctly and have tried it on several routers..and it cannot cannect to any router properly even with the correct password. My laptop is connected just fine and it accepts the password and I have confirmed the password with the ISP and tried other routers.
So the question is what should I do if I am entering the right password and the Ipad can't sign itself on to the Wifi network?

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)

    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

For about 2 weeks I have been unable to leave feedback on ebay. Firefox brings up login page but will not accept password. I am having the same problem with my yahoo email. It will not accept my passwords, so I have to use IE to login to these accounts.

On yahoo email, it accepted my login id, but not password. This started on one account about two weeks ago. Today when I tried to login to another yahoo email, which worked yesterday, but it would not accept my password on this account.
I bought some items on ebay and wanted to leave feedback. When I clicked on the leave feedback button a sign in window appeared, this should not have happened, when I tried to sign in, it would not accept my password. I called ebay and was told they have had many complaints from customers using firefox when trying to leave feedback. The help desk suggested I try with Internet Explorer, I did, and it worked perfectly.
I have been using firefox for a long time and really do not want to go back to IE, but when I cannot sign into my accounts, I can't, so I will have to use IE.
As far as I know, no new programs have been installed on this computer.

After downloading the latest version I have been asked to login with my password but it doesn´t accept it or a new one !

when starting up after a erase/reinstall of Mac OS X 10.6 it will not accept any of my passwords/names, I had just entered my info and clicked on "continue", the cube began to turn and froze, a translucent screen came over the whole window and request that I restart the computer, after doing so, I got the start up sound and a message saying that OS X was starting up and then the sign in window, but when I entered my info it kept shaking/rejecting it, only thing I can think is that could I have possibly entered my password wrong twice, don't know, I'm still scratching my head.

Do it again, I'm afraid. Be sure you set up the initial admin account with a proper password you can remember - all lowercase letters and numbers. No special characters or spaces except for the "_" underline character.
Clean Install of Snow Leopard
Be sure to make a backup first because the following procedure will erase
the drive and everything on it.
     1. Boot the computer using the Snow Leopard Installer Disc or the Disc 1 that came
         with your computer. Insert the disc into the optical drive and restart the computer.
         After the chime press and hold down the "C" key. Release the key when you see
         a small spinning gear appear below the dark gray Apple logo.
     2. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue
         button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
         After DU loads select the hard drive entry from the left side list (mfgr.'s ID and drive
         size.) Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window. Set the number of
         partitions to one (1) from the Partitions drop down menu, click on Options button
         and select GUID, click on OK, then set the format type to MacOS Extended
         (Journaled, if supported), then click on the Apply button.
     3. When the formatting has completed quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed
         with the OS X installation and follow the directions included with the installer.
     4. When the installation has completed your computer will Restart into the Setup
         Assistant. Be sure you configure your initial admin account with the exact same
         username and password that you used on your old drive. After you finish Setup
         Assistant will complete the installation after which you will be running a fresh
         install of OS X. You can now begin the update process by opening Software
         Update and installing all recommended updates to bring your installation current.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.
