Good Morning,
We have a problem and y cann't find the solution. All the policies works
perfect but not for the admin. We have to Vlans, one for students and one
for employee's. If y log in as admin on a studente computer the policies
works fine, if y use a employee computer y get the policies from the
employee's. It all works fine till one week ago. Nothing has changed.
Sorry for my bad english !! We use zfd4, the latest client software en
novell 5.1, all with the latest patches. Any suggestions !!!

Can you explain what does not work with admin?

But if this failure condition can occurs, imho would be better to catch and deal with this exception inside your process.
And be aware that in a BPM process, different from BPEL, by default a selection failure will put your process in a suspended state instead of in a recoverable status on EM.

i have a scenario, i have two password policies for two different resources. for example one of my resource is AD for this resource i set password policy to AD (Warn After one day value to 1). i didnt get any warning while logging into AD machine. is resource level password policy applied to AD user or not.

You can define password policy for OIM Password itself and whenever user will change his password in OIM then it will be reflected in Target System.
If he doesn't change his password then you customize the connector to lock the user in target system iff target system supports locking and unlocking operations.

SBS 2011 Domain Accounts Can't Login To Windows 8 PC

One of our Windows 8.1 machines is no longer allowing domain accounts (except admin) to login to the PC. This PC was a fresh setup and was joined to the domain in January. When I log into the PC with the network admin and go to logs I get the
following message related to group polocies not being able to be applied (now it won't let me connect at all). I'll upload log files as soon as I can connect again.
We are running an SBS 2011 server that handles all ad, dns, exchange 2010, remote web access, etc.
Any ideas on what may be going wrong or how I should troubleshoot the issue?

hi i want to communicate data b/w A and B who are the clients of X(which has XI)
do i need to have PCK at A and B.

Not absoultely, but if the organization decides to use PCK for partner communication, then yes.

Same as 1 --> If it has been cecided that partner communication with XI happens via a PCK then yes.

If they are not clients of X why would you send data to them?
PCK's are not absoluely necessary but depend ona number of factors like IT security polocies of the company at a organization level, IT stratergy of the company etc.

What is the best VM specs for a 2 Tier SharePoint Environment for 100 users?

We are looking to set up SharePoint Environment 2013 and SQL 2012 on two VMs for around 100 Users. At this point, its to develop a intranet portal for the company to post HR polocies and share info. BI, worlflows, and content management will come later on.
It's a virtual environment running on Hyper V Windows Server 2012 Standard with
32GB RAM, 4X300GB 15 SAS Drive, RAID 10, Partition C:80GB D: 477GB
Would the following be okay for the VMs in a production environment?
SharePoint VM:
RAM: 18GB?
Hard Drive space: 150GB
Processor: 64bit, 4 cores.
OR RAM 14GB instead??
SQL VM:
RAM: 10GB
Hard Drive Space: 150GB
Processor: 64bit, 4 cores.
OR RAM 14GB instead???
Hyper V host: ?? (Not too if 4GB will suffice.)
RAM: 4GB ???
Please advise.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I got another identical server approved so I was wondering if the following specs will do if LOB applications are installed on the SharePoint Infrastructure in the future.
Virtual Machine 1: Web Server + App Server
SharePoint Server:
RAM: 25GB Processor: 64bits. 4-cores Disk space: 160GB
Virtual Machine 2:
SQL
RAM: 20GB Processor: 64bits,4-cores Disk space: 160GB
Would this be overkilling it or should I just increase the RAM to 25GB on the SharePoint Server and leave the SQL as 16Gb?
Just to give an idea the portal consists of 1 corporate site and about 8 departmental sites which is not the concern as the 16GB for SP and 16 GB would be fine (I would assume). I am however concern if the old specs would be okay when the LOB applications,
workflows, BI are installed in the future.

Integrating Active Directory LDAP in OBIEE 11g

Hi All,
I Have Configured Active Directory LDAP in OBIEE.
Steps i have Followed are,
1) configured Active Directory in providers under Scurity Releam.
2) Restarted BI Services to Load the Ldap Users.
3) login to the EM under bifoundation domain selected securitues->security configuration provider.created user.login.attr and username.attr.
4) under Credentials->oracle.bi.system map->system.user->deleted BISystemUser and Created key with the Existing name in Active Directory.
5) assigned System user to BISystem role in em.
6) in Console Roles and Polocies->Global Roles->Roles->Admin->view Role Condition (User = Active Directory User or Group=Administrators).
7) Restarted BI Server and Presentation Services.
Now I am Unable to Login to Presentation Services.
Please Reply ASAP.

Kiran, Is there a specific reason for using RPD for LDAP authentication? From 11g onwards, the best practice is to use Weblogic (or external Authentication providers). Is it correct to say that for "Authentication' without proper RPD LDAP config for "USER" variable, users cannot login via presentation layer?

Credit Card charged fraud

My card has been charged fraudulently for making a SKYPE call. I have NEVER registered payment details with SKYPE.
Further I dont seem to be able to access a secure email or contact details with SKYPE to report this fraud. This is outrageous. I have called my bank and they have said I need to contact SKYPE to review this situation.
Surely as a subsidiary of Microsoft you ahould have appropriate FRAUD reporting Polocies. Please get back to me immediately with an appropriate resolution.

Cisco CSM 4.1: import/export IPv6 networks/hosts

Does sombodey know an import/export functionality for the IPv6 network/host objects in Cisco CSM? The existing perl script PolicyObjectImportExport.pl supports only IPv4 objects.

I had this issue with the service objects. When I created the fliter for the service objects also the CSM predefined objects are displayed. I selected all these objects and choose to delete them. During the delete process CSM stopped to delete the objects by the first CSM predefined object.
I think you have the same issue (for example with the predefined "any" object, if not referenced in your polocies).
Workaround:
- apply filter again and delete the displayed objects (deselect the predefined objects before).

Has anyone used Directory Server Access Management Edition? I'm trying to a proof of concept for single sign on.
I'm having a bit of trouble running the sample on code SSOTokenSampleServlet on a remote server.
I get a UnsopportedOperationException.

excuse me thomas; I dont have answer for your question but it seams that you have more experience than me about iDSAME. I have a problme about the authentication.
the probleme is that when I do a request on the web server iws 6.0(with ie 5), I get the autentication page, untill this all is aright. but when I try to get
authentifacated with LDAP Authentification, here and at the bare statut of ie I see the message "website found waiting for response" and this message loops and
noyhing happen after this.
Please to give me exemples how can I create polocies to protect my web site. and the solutions for my problem.

Itunes and ringtones

I was just wondering if anyone could answer a quick questions about itunes and the itunes store. I purchased a few songs from the store to use as ringtones, and yes, I checked the "search for songs that can only be made into ringtones" box when I searched and downloaded.
Now, after I have edited the section of the song that i would like as my ringtone, I have to purchase it again? Why do I have to buy the song, then pay again to use it as a ringtone?

Apple is a business. I am just realistic in the fact that the business is trying to make profit, and personally, I appreciate the fact that they are doing it legally. They are one of the industry leaders in internet digital music. They are watched like hawks to make sure they are doing it legally in all aspects of the process due to their size and deep pockets. Also remember...the whole .99 cents is not going to Apple. A portion of that is going to the music industry.
Look....bottom line, is I am never saying personally that I AGREE with the way the law is written when it comes to ringtones and what you should and should not be able to use. I actually believe that you SHOULD be able to play snipets of your own music for a ringtone if you choose. However, I am not going to run around blaming Apple for it. They are just following the law, and by not allowing third party apps that enable you to Break the law, they are just following it even more so...sets a track record, so if anyone were to try to come after Apple in a court of law for ringtone violation, they would be able to point to many different polocies that show they did everything they could to prevent the illegal use of music as ringtones....thus protecting their assets.
If being "dense" is not crying over a whole .99 cents to put a ringtone on my phone if I chose to, which I happen to not choose any longer as I have grown out of that phase in my life as an adult, then "dense" I shall be.
Just for once, open your mind to the other side when it comes to ringtones and the stance Apple has taken. I think everyones anger is well justified, but it needs to be justified at the legal system and its laws they have put in place, not at Apple.
Also remember, as you buy songs and albums on iTunes. If Apple is setting a precedence for protecting the music induStry and all of their rights that they currently have, it is going to widen the amount of selection you have at iTunes, as the Artists will choose to support iTUnes and Apple by the way that they handle the grey areas of the Internet Based Music Industry.
The picture is so much grander in scale than anyone wants to admit sometimes. I would love to see you spend a month in the shoes of Apple and everything they have to deal with when it comes to all of this stuff and the B.S. that surrounds it. Your whole attitude might just change a little bit when it comes down to it.

I will delete all unused networks/hosts objects in Cisco CSM 4.2 befor I compare the objects with the entries in our IPAM. Does somebody know how this is possible?

In order to be able to use extended withholding tax, you must make various settings in Customizing and the master data of the business partners concerned in each of the company codes.
Activities:
Activate extended withholding tax -To be able to use extended withholding tax, you must first activate it.Under Financial Accounting Global Settings-> Company Code->Activate Extended Withholding Tax.
Set up reporting:Make the settings for withholding tax reporting. You do this in two places:
Under Financial Accounting->Financial Accounting Global Settings->Withholding Tax->Extended Withholding Tax->Basic Settings in the Implementation Guide for Financial Accounting, you define for example, the countries in which withholding tax is reported, the official withholding tax keys, and reasons for exemption.
Under Financial Accounting->General Ledger Accounting->Business Transactions-> Closing->Reporting->Extended Withholding Tax: Reporting you make the settings for the forms for reporting the tax.
Also you need to do the following settings.
Define withholding tax types
Define withholding tax codes
Define minimum and maximum amounts
Define accounts for withholding tax
Define liability to tax and deduction authorization (master data)
Configure certificate numbering for withholding tax
If necessary, use the analysis report for extended withholding tax (RFWT1000). You can use the report to:
Check your Customizing settings for consistency
Get an overview of the withholding tax-relevant settings in Customizing and the master data of your business partner
Track the calculation of withholding tax amounts in detail

You can do it with 2 options :
1. Enable AAA on your switches and have your access control policies defined on your ACS server.
2. USe your switche's local database and define the priviledge levels based on the user polocies. For setting it up on switches please do the following :
create a username and password and assign it a level.
conf t
username ABC priviledge 5 password ****
privilege exec level 5 show run <- this command will allow the user to only run the " show run " command.
privilege configure level 5 XXXX<--- This command will only allow to run the following command in global configuration.
privilege interface level 5 XXXX <--- This will allow to run the command given after the Level 5, to run under the interface.
I would suggest to first try this out in a Lab or on a free switch before imlpementing it as you need to give a lot of thinking to use and run the commands on diff modes. Always have another telnet session open to your switches when you implement it so that if you are knocked out of it, you are able to access it and revert the changes.
