XP SP3 with Dreamweaver can't link mySQL database

My OS is XP SP3
When it sets linking to database would show the error message
" HTTP ERROR! 403 STOP"
I have tried these two solution method
install this : Dreamweaver Extention Fix  and "Resolved issues with Dreamweaver MX 2004 update (7.0.1)"
but the situation is the same!!
how can i do ?

Because of XP SP2 preventing access between Dreamweaver and MySQL,
DW have provided two kinds of method to solute these problem.
But it doesn't work in XP SP3.
Who can help me?? SOS!

    i am using my MS Access 2013 to connect with my oracle database. I created the odbc link and successfully have connection test pass. However i can;t link the database with my MS access. When i am using different software (mapinfo), i am able to connect to oracle database. The error is"1013: user requested cancel of current operation"

    In MS access, i open the external data and select odbc. Select my odbc link created previously, enter the password and after a while the error message pop up.
    But if i am using another tools, such as SQL Developer or Mapinfo, i will able to connect to oracle database using the same odbc link.

  • Is there a list of hosting companies Dreamweaver can connect to? Database wise

    I need to know if Dreamweaver can connect to certain databases. I don't want to waste my money just to find out, so I came here. I need to know if there is so I can go with that hosting company instead.

    Once I get everything sorted out on a 'local' level I'll then purchase some remote server space and transfer the files to it. Then if I need to update the database I'll just use the remote version of phpMyadmin which should come with the hosting package.
    Yea that's what I meant what hosting companies can Dreamweaver connect to? I'm using wamp locally but I've tried to connect to go-daddy database and that was a bust so now I'm looking for other hosting providers that allow me to connect to their databases from Dreamweaver.....Or is there any reason to do that at all?
    No reason to want to connect to a remote database from DW in my opinion. Like I said I do all the setting up locally then transfer files over to a remote host and connect using the database connection details supplied by the host. If the connection details from the host are correct then all you should need to do is replace your local connection details in the database connection file with the remote ones - everything should work like a dream - obviously sometimes it doesn't but that's because some web-hosts make you jump through hoops to set anything up, for instance BT in the UK are total crap in my opinion stay clear of their convoluted set up if youre in the UK - I'm sure others have had a great experience using BT - go with a small company - large companies couldn't give a shite about their clients.

  • I can not create mysql database

    I installed mariadb and mariadb-client. Whent I type this in command line
    mysql> CREATE DATABASE menagerie;
    a text file was created which name is CREATE and it consist of mysql --help output.
    How can I create mysql database?

    I think the problem is that you took the instructions too literally. There's a system command line, and a MySQL command line; you're likely looking for the second.
    Try running in your terminal:
    $ mysql
    This will bring up a MySQL prompt that will look like:
    mysql>
    inside of which you can run your "CREATE DATABASE" command.

  • Help with PHP and CSS links (&mysql results)

    Hi
    Hope someone can help.  I have a column in a mysql5 database that records if an advert is 'featured' or not with 'yes' or 'no' in the database fields.
    I'm dynamically creating a list of adverts using php5 and DWCS3 where each ad comprises several table rows and these are wrapped up in a repeat region (rather than one table row per ad title) and I'd like to highlight the background of the 'featured' advert using  link to a style class eg so that the 'featured' ads have a different background colour to the rest of the ads listed.
    I've got the following code so far, which highlights the adverts but it does this for all of them (featured and non-featured).
    The 'advertpagetabletext' class is the standard (default) rule applied to non-featured adverts.  The "advertfeatured" class is the new background colour.
    Can anyone point me in the right direction / comment on the code below?
    Thanks in advance,
    M
    <?php $featured = $row_listJobs(['job_featured']; ?>
    <?php do { ?>
    <table width="100%" border="0" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="0"<?php if($featured == y) {echo 'class="advertfeatured"'; } else {echo 'class="advertpagetabletext"'; } ?>>
    <tr>
    <td ....rest of table and rows etc etc...

    Ahh, penny drops,
    From what I can see the class is coming through as "advertfeatured" on all of the ads - so it seems to be ignoring the fact that some are not featured / and doesn't revert to the other class for the second ad listing.
    //This is for a featured advert //
    Job Title: Viticulturalist
    etc etc //This is for a nonfeatured advert//
    Job Title: Cellar Hand
    Job Category: io

  • Can we use MYSQL database with the UI5 application?

    Hey,
    I want to make an SAPUI5 application and there i have to use database to save the data.
    Then, i will retrieve the data from there. Can we use MYSQL as a database to save the data.
    If yes, then how we will retrieve the data from there?
    Regards
    VAIBHAV JAIN

    Hi Yury,
    There's a lot of new technologies in order to acchieve that. You could create this app components:
    1. Persistence layer. Hibernate/JPA connected to Relational ER Model in MySQL.
    2. Service layer. Restful Services. With Spring (Getting Started &amp;middot; Building a RESTful Web Service), Jersey (Jersey), etc.
    3. View Layer. SAPUI5. Consume your services.
    Hope this helps,
    Kind regards!

  • Having Trouble Linking mySQL Database to Website

    I am considering a move of all my websites into Azure and setup a test account this afternoon with the free trial.  I've been able to setup the website; however, I'm having issues with the creation - more specifically the linkage - of a MySQL database
    to the site.  I've tried to link the database in a number of ways including both the existing and preview portals in addition to trying to create the new resource instead of linking. In each scenario the database is created but the linkage fails.
    The message I keep getting is:
    Could not link resource '>DB Name>' to web site '<Site Name>'.
    Am I doing something wrong?

    hi sir,
    Thanks for you posting!
    Firstly, please make sure your MySQL database in host on Azure, not in your project.
    Secondly, if your database is create on Azure, I suggest you could try those step:
    1.delete the entire website
    2.create a new website and select add the existing MySQL database as a Linked Resource .
    Also, please see this similar issue post:

  • Problems with UD Connect to a MySQL database

    Hi SAP BI experts,
    I am trying to extract data from a table in a mysql Database to SAP BI 7 using UD Connect. I have followed the instructions at http://www.bi-expertonline.com/downloads/Schroeder0604.doc . However, I get an error as soon as I try to create a UD Connect Data Source to an InfoSource using "Create BW DataSource with UDConnect" from the Extras menu. I can set up the RFC destination as well as the UD connect source. Regarding the UD Connect source object I get an error message "RSSDK|100|Connection could not be established". I already checked if my settings in the connector container service of the Visual Administrator are correct. They are. I have tried to access the data using a simple java programme and it worked fine. My configuration properties are:
    DriverName       com.mysql.jdbc.driver
    Password         xxxxxxxxxx
    URL                 jdbc:mysql://brainsapgw:3306/bi_test
    UserName        sap
    Does anyone have some hints for me what could have gone wrong with it? As far as I can see, the properties should be fine as they work with a normal java programme.
    Thanks in advance
    Martin

    Hi SAP experts,
    it's now working. The problem was that I provided "com.mysql.jdbc.driver" as Driver Name instead of "com.mysql.jdbc.Driver".
    Cheers

  • Advance filtering with Dreamweaver cs4, PHP and mysql

    Here is the problem:
    This is my query which gives me back no data.
    SELECT *
    FROM photos
    WHERE photoTypeID LIKE cat
    ORDER BY photoID DESC
    variable = cat
    Type = integer
    default value= -1
    run time value = $_POST['cat']
    If I change the default value to "%" I get all the data in the Test SQL statement window but then I get a DIVISION BY ZERO on my page.

    When using LIKE, you must set the type to "Text". LIKE matches strings. It cannot be used with numbers.

  • Problem inserting text with special Hungarian characters into MySQL database

    When I insert text into my MySQL db the special Hungarian
    characters (ő,ű) they change into "?".
    When I check the
    <cfoutput>#FORM.special_character#</cfoutput> it gives
    me the correct text, things go wrong just when writing it into the
    db. My hosting provider said the following: "please try to
    evidently specify "latin2" charset with "latin2_hungarian_ci"
    collation when performing any operations with tables. It is
    supported by the server but not used by default." At my former
    hosting provider I had no such problem. Anyway how could I do what
    my hosting provider has suggested. I read a PHP related article
    that said use "SET NAMES latin2". How could I do such thing in
    ColdFusion? Any suggestion? Besides I've tried to use UTF8 and
    Latin2 character encoding both on my pages and in the db but with
    not much success.
    I've also read a French language message here in this forum
    that suggested to use:
    <cfscript>
    setEncoding("form", "utf-8");
    setEncoding("url", "utf-8");
    </cfscript>
    <cfcontent type="text/html; charset=utf-8">
    I' ve changed the utf-8 to latin2 and even to iso-8859-2 but
    didn't help.
    Thanks, Aron

    I read that it would be the most straightforward way to do
    everything in UTF-8 because it handles well special characters so
    I've tried to set up a simple testing environment. Besides I use CF
    MX7 and my hosting provider creates the dsn for me so I think the
    db driver is JDBC but not sure.
    1.) In Dreamweaver I created a page with UTF-8 encoding set
    the Unicode Normalization Form to "C" and checked the include
    unicode signature (BOM) checkbox. This created a page with the meta
    tag: <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;
    charset=utf-8" />. I've checked the HTTP header with an online
    utility at delorie.com and it gave me the following info:
    HTTP/1.1, Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8, Server:
    Microsoft-IIS/6.0
    2.) Then I put the following codes into the top of my page
    before everything:
    <cfprocessingdirective pageEncoding = "utf-8">
    <cfset setEncoding("URL", "utf-8")>
    <cfset setEncoding("FORM", "utf-8")>
    <cfcontent type="text/html; charset=utf-8">
    3.) I wrote some special Hungarian chars
    (<p>őű</p>) into the page and they displayed
    well all the time.
    4.) I've created a simple MySQL db (MySQL Community Edition
    5.0.27-community-nt) on my shared hosting server with phpMyAdmin
    with default charset of UTF-8 and choosing utf8_hungarian_ci as
    default collation. Then I creted a MyISAM table and the collation
    was automatically applied to my varchar field into wich I stored
    data with special chars. I've checked the properties of the MySQL
    server in MySQL-Front prog and found the following settings under
    the Variables tab: character_set_client: utf8,
    character_set_connection: utf8, character_set_database: latin1,
    character_set_results: utf8, character_set_server: latin1,
    character_set_system: utf8, collation_connection: utf8_general_ci,
    collation_database: latin1_swedish_ci, collation_server:
    latin1_swedish_ci.
    5.) I wrote a simple insert form into my page and tried it
    using both the content of the form field and a hardcoded string
    value and even tried to read back the value of the
    #FORM.special_char# variable. In each cases the special Hungarian
    chars changed to "q" or "p" letters.
    Can anybody see something wrong in the above mentioned or
    have an idea to test something else?
    I am thinking about to try this same page against a db on my
    other hosting providers MySQL server.
    Here is the to the form:

  • Can't Open a MySQL Database

    After downloading, installing, and starting the Xampp copies
    of MySQL and Apache, I created and loaded a small database, which I
    can see in a browser using localhost. In Dreamweaver I created and
    saved a PHP page on which I want to display database informaiton. I
    opened the Databases pane, click +MySQL Connection, entered a name,
    "localhost," a user name and password, and clicked select to select
    a database. I get the "404 File Not Found" error message. I know
    that Apache and MySQL are running because I can see them in a
    browser using "LocalHost." Whe can't DW see them?, or am I doing
    something wrong?

    hi, I had same problems. Have solved the connection issues by
    going back in and making sure my remote paths and testing server
    paths were setup correctly. I have been following the cafetownsend
    tutorials see how mine is set up. Hopefully it will solve your
    problems too
    Local Root folder = F:\websites\cafetownsendphp\
    Images folder = F:\websites\cafetownsendphp\images\
    HTTP address =
    http://localhost/cafestownsenphp/
    Remote info = local host
    Remote folder = C:\Apache2\htdocs\
    testing server info php, mysql
    Access = local network

    Hope this helps all those others who have had trouble getting
    dreamweaver to connect to mysql database. It took me days to sort
    it out and checked all the forums etc.

  • JSP, EJB in Jboss 4 with mySQL database. Error in connecting to database

    Hi, i using JBoss 4-0-1 with jsp and mySQL database. I get this example from a book using stateless session beans. However i modify it so it can connect to mySQL database.
    This is my code for jsp.
    <%@ page import="asg.MusicEJB.*,
    java.util.*,
    javax.naming.Context,
    javax.naming.InitialContext,
    javax.rmi.PortableRemoteObject" errorPage="error.jsp" %>

         The following 3 variables appear in a JSP declaration.
         They appear outside the generated _jspService() method,
         which gives them class scope.
         Since we want to initialize our Music EJB object once
         and read the Music Collection database to get the
         recording titles once, we place this code inside
         method jspInit().
         The EJB business method getMusicList()
         returns a collection of RecordingVO objects which we
         store in ArrayList albums.

  • Connecting to an online mysql database

    Good morning,
    I've been developing a website using Dreamweaver, Coldfusion,
    and MySQL on my local computer. On the localhost the website works
    well. Now I'm ready to upload my pages and need to update the data
    source so my pages can access the MySQL databases hosted by
    GoDaddy.com. I've had no luck talking with their customer service
    about which driver / which port I should use to make the
    connection. I understand that Remote Development Services (RDS) is
    disabled on their server. Am I missing any steps? Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Tony

  • MySQL Database Connection (two databases at the same time)

    I have never had to open more than one MySQL database from within the same website before, but I do now.  The website I have is designed where all the content comes from within the main database.  I am building an Inventory system that I want within it's own database, in the event I would ever need to move the application to another server or something, I don't want this data residing in the main database.
    Currently, I open the database connection from within a file called "common.php" that resides in a directory called "lib" that can be accessed from the root directory.  Below is the proposed code that would be placed within the "common.php" file:
    // Define Database Variables
    $dbserver = "127.0.0.1";
    $dbuser  = array('clevelan_user1', 'clevelan_user2');
    $dbpass  = array('P@ssw0rd', 'P@ssw0rd2');
    $dbname  = array('clevelan_database1', 'clevelan_database2');
    // Start Session
    session_start();
    // Connect to Databases
    connectdb($dbserver, $dbuser[0], $dbpass[0], $dbname[0]);
    connectdb2($dbserver, $dbuser[1], $dbpass[1], $dbname[1]);
    // Database 1 Connection
    function connectdb($dbserver, $dbuser, $dbpass, $dbname) {
    // connects to db
      global $connection;
      $connection = @mysql_connect($dbserver, $dbuser, $dbpass) or die ("could not connect to server");
      $db = @mysql_select_db($dbname, $connection) or die ("could not select databsase");
      return $connection;
    // Database 2 Connection
    function connectdb2($dbserver, $dbuser, $dbpass, $dbname) {
    // connects to db
      global $connection2;
      $connection2 = @mysql_connect($dbserver, $dbuser, $dbpass) or die ("could not connect to server");
      $db2 = @mysql_select_db($dbname, $connection2) or die ("could not select databsase");
      return $connection2;
    //End of Code Within the "common.php"
    From within any page of the website, I want to access both connections by placing an include at the top of each page:
    include_once("lib/common.php");
    Currently, when I run the code above, any page within the website (the home page) provides error messages with regards to database connectivity (the pages are looking for there content from within the second database.  It's as if the second database is the only database seen by the website.
    I need help figuring out how I can have two MySQL databases open at the same time (the second database will only be open for short periods of time and then closed).  But the main database is always open.

    Create one project using one copy of the exact tables.
    create 2 different sessions.xml files each pointing to the same project. Set the login information in the sessions.xml files.
    That should work fine.
