XPath 2.0 in mediator?

Hi,
Is it possible to use XPath 2.0 in a mediator component in Soa suite 11g?
I want to use an XPath function in the http://www.w3.org/2005/xpath-functions namespace.
Groeten,
HJH

I tried to find documentation about which XML standards are supported...can't really find anything conclusive.
But it is possible to use XPath 2.0 functions both in an assign and in a transform.
                  <copy target="$out.reply/inp1:singleString"
                        expression="fn:normalize-space($in.request/inp1:singleString)"
                        xmlns:inp1="http://xmlns.oracle.com/singleString"
                        xmlns:fn="http://www.w3.org/2005/xpath-functions"/>There is no support for these functions in JDeveloper Expression Builder...
Groeten,
HJH

    업무에 참고하시기 바랍니다.

    David,
    You are right, theer are some changes incorporated in the latest MLR # 16 on the configurations files and on the dehydration store metrics(such as performance, fields,..).
    However, I would not suggest to continue working on olite, even for Development/Test purposes as you might get stuck with strange errors...and the only solution would be to re-install SOA Suite if your olite gets corrupted. There might be ways to gets your olite back to position, but trust me..its not so simple.
    Also, when you develop and stress test all your testcase scenarios in an TEST Adv installation, its simple to mimic the same in actual production box, as you exactly know its behavior.
    So, go for a brand new SOA 10.1.3.4 MLR # 5 (or) 10.1.3.3.1 MLR # 16 SOA Suite Advanced installation with Oracle DB 10.2.0.3 as its dehydration store.
    Hope this helps!
    Cheers

  • XPath function namespace-uri in Mediator raises ORAMED-01004

    Hi,
    In a mediator component (SOA Suite 11g) I try to use some XPath functions.
    "name" and "local-name" do just fine, but when I try to use "namespace-uri" I always get an ORAMED-01004 error.
    Like this:
    oracle.tip.mediator.infra.exception.MediatorException: ORAMED-01004:[Multiple source nodes]Source expression "namespace-uri($in.berichtPart/child::*)" resulted in multiple node for source message which is not supportedPossible Fix:Please check expression for correctness. Modify source expression based on the requirement otherwise contact Oracle for support
    I seems like a bug to me as namespace-uri should return a string, just like name and local-name...
    Xpath spec: Function: string namespace-uri(node-set?)
    Can anyone confirm? Am I missing something???
    Groeten,
    HJH

    Any solution to this?

  • Check for Null in Mediator Static Routing filter

    Using Expression Builder for Mediator component how can I check the values for NULL in a particular XML element. In my case the XSD is
    <xs:complexType name="OdsCadDataSet">
    <xs:choice>
    <xs:element name="odsCadCase" type="OdsCadCase" minOccurs="0"
    maxOccurs="1"/>
    <xs:element name="odsCadEvent" type="OdsCadEvent" minOccurs="0"
    maxOccurs="1"/>
    <xs:element name="odsCadUnitStatus" type="OdsCadUnitStatus"
    minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1"/>
    </xs:choice>
    </xs:complexType>
    I want to check in expression builder of mediator whether odsCase, odsCadEvent, odsCadUnitStatus is been processed. I have three static routing for each element and plan to put filter which checks is odsCadCase is null and so forth. How to have this use case.
    Thanks

  • Error while trying to insert data on a database through a mediator

    I have build a simple project on 11g TP$, which consists of a mediator, a file adapter, that reads an xml file and a DB adapter that inserts data on a database.
    The mediator connects the file adapter to the DB adapter and through a routing rule it inserts data on a table of the database.
    When I try to run this project the input file is consumed by the file adapter, but after that I get the following error

    I have checked the .xsd file and my xml several times and it seems that they are correct. Moreover, the .xsl file is also correct.
    Does anyone have any idea of what may produce this problem?
    Thanks

    I was finally able to get my project working. Heidi - You were right, there was a problem with the XSL generated by the XSL map editor.
    I am trying to locate if this issue has already been reported, but I am highlighting it here, in case someone else faces the same.
    The XSL generated was as follows:
    &lt;xsl:stylesheet version="1.0"
    xmlns:dvm="[http://www.oracle.com/XSL/Transform/java/oracle.tip.dvm.LookupValue]"
    xmlns:bpws="[http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2003/03/business-process/]"

    &lt;/xsl:for-each&gt;
    &lt;/top:EmployeeTrackingCollection&gt;
    &lt;/xsl:template&gt;
    &lt;/xsl:stylesheet&gt;
    The Xpath included the "imp1:" tag to reference the namespace. I tested this XSL and it didn't work. However, on removing the namespace "imp1:" from the Xpath, the XSL works fine and I am able to insert into the database. "No suitable driver" still appears in the log, but all rows from the XML are inserted into the database.
    Heidi - do you think this is a bug?

  • XML-23002: (Error) internal xpath error while calling template

    Hi,
    I have used call-template named Chemloop in my xslt in the following way as attached in the xsl file. But when I am testing this xsl file through the bpel transformation, getting the error XML-23002: (Error) internal xpath error. Using this xslt I am converting a flat file into a xml file. My xslt except the call template part is working fine. Please suggest me if I m doing anything wrong.

    I can't get what are you trying to achieve by a construction like bellow...
    /alcebo:DeliveryDetail[position()]
    Remember XSLT is not a procedural language... a selector like /alcebo:DeliveryDetail[position() = $var] or just /alcebo:DeliveryDetail[$var] would make more sense...
    Cheers,

  • Error while transforming XML in mediator

    I have a mediator on my composite that routes from a webservice to an ADF-BC Service.
    I mapped the input from my webservice to the input of my ADF BC SDO. That works. When i look in the enterprise manager, the parameters are routed correctly.
    The service will return a record so i need a transformation from the SDO to the webservice. When i create this, and test the transformation i get a transformation failed error.
    When in JDeveloper, you can test the XSL and let JDev generate an XML to test the XSL. With that XML it works but when i look at the payload in the enterprise manager of my service, it looks completly different.
    This is the error i see in my EM: Error in transforming message part "parameters" using "xsl/getUserResponse_To_getUserResponse.xsl"
    here is an example of the XML generated by JDev that WORKS with the XSL:

  • Mediator - convert XSD datetime to SQL date value

    Fusion 11g, JDev 11.1.1, W server 2008
    Hi there,
    using JDev we've defined a DB adapter (towards an ORACLE schema), which basically serves two operations: INSERT and SELECT. On the DB table we've got a DATE_TIME while on on the other side we've defined a wsdl where the INPUT operation takes as parameter an XSD DATETIME value.
    The values have different structures and so we've started to play with the "Assign Values" function on the Mediator component, unfortunately without any success.
    Right now our expression is the following
    from
    ora:formatDate($in.newEventParam/newEventParam/ns:executionTime,"dd-MMM-yy")
    to
    $out.LogCollection/top:LogCollection/top:Log/top:when
    As first question I would like to ask you if our approach is correct and in that case what's wrong with our expression as we tried to use the same pattern as we use in SQL.
    Second, we performed some tests using the EM console. On test failure it shown a stack trace saying only that there was a problem performing a transformation. That's a bit too less, especially when transformation is done on large amount of values. Is there any way to increase trace level and get further details on which transformation didn't work out?
    Thanks in advance
    Alessandro Ilardo

    Thanks Eric for the link. That helped me to get further details about the issue but unfortunately not enough to locate the cause.
    So here I definitely have an issue with the composite application and perhaps another one on getting a SOAP trace from the Mediator log. Even with the finest log level enabled I couldn't see what the Mediator receives from outside.
    The first problem instead, seams to be a missing SOAP parameter, I assume that's why on the log I see this
    [WEBSERVICE.name: AuditService] [J2EE_APP.name: soa-infra] [composite_instance_id: 40011] Transformation failed[[
    oracle.tip.mediator.infra.exception.MediatorException: ORAMED-01203:[No Part]No part exist with name "newEventParam" in source message.Possible Fix:Review the transformation definition in mplan.Contact Oracle Support if the error cannot be fixed.
         at oracle.tip.mediator.service.transformation.XSLTransformer.getPartDocument(XSLTransformer.java:221)
    [J2EE_APP.name: soa-infra] [composite_instance_id: 40011] Got an exception: java.lang.NullPointerException[[
    oracle.tip.mediator.infra.exception.MediatorException: ORAMED-01201:[Error in transform operation]Error occurred while transforming payload.Possible Fix:Review the XSL or source payload. Either the XSL defined does not match with the payload or payload is invalid.
    In this routing there are basically 2 things that take place, an XSL mapping and an Assign value expression.
    Everything is goes fine until we perform a test from the EM, there we get the error.
    Unless someone has further tips on this issue I am considering to make a call from SOAPUI and place WS Monitor in the middle to make sure if the mistake is in the application or platform.

  • Checking for empty tags using expression builder for XPATH

    I am creating several filters in a mediator for several parallel paths. I am trying to route the mediator to the correct DB adapter based on what tags are empty in the incoming XML. The XML has 1 required tag and 3 optional. So for the expression, I am using the expression builder to load the tag name then putting either [text()] or [not(text())] immediately after each tag with an "and" in between for the 3 optional elements. The problem I am having is they always return false. For example, if I enter a value for an optional tag and put [text()] after it, it evaluates to false. What is the correct way to check if an element has text or not?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
    Its not recognizing the getVariableData func... instead try this:
    string-length(xpath)>0
    ex: string-length($in.body/imp1:manoj/imp1:C1)>0
    It works... Happy deploying ... :)

  • Dynamic XPath in XQuery or XQSE

    Is there a way to execute dynamic xpath expression in XQuery or XQSE, to do something like:
    declare xqse function tns:checkName($addrBook as element(),$name as xs:String ) as xs:boolean {
    declare $var as xs:String := "Address/Person[@name='" + $name +"']";
    ( : test if expression in $var returns not empty result when applied to $addrBook : )
    return value( $resultOfEvaluation) ;
    Thank You

    You haven't described why you want to do this - I suspect it is might be unnecessary/over-kill. Anyway
    1) in the interest of efficiency, DSP compiles and optimizes xquery, and therefore the xquery cannot be modified at run-time.
    2) the Filter api will let you apply filters, which effectively generate a new query, compile it and execute it. But you can only apply selections to elements that are exposed in the result
    The thing is that final client should not use mediator api, and i do not want to have an intermediate client that would use mediator. I don't understand what you mean here - how is the client supposed to to submit a response to DSP and get a result if it does not call DSP directly or indirectly?
    If the client already has the result, and you want to find something within that result, by far the most efficient way (aside from only returning that result in the xquery submitted to DSP), is to navigate through the DataObject with the get() methods. Firing up an xquery engine is a very expensive way to go through a DataObject - to do this you will need to serialize the DataObject into xml, create an XmlObject from that string, and then evaluate the xquery.

  • Conditional concat in mediator transformation

    Hi!
    I have 5 address line fields which should be concatenated two one big address field. If one of the line fields is filled then before next field should be concatened additional line break.
    Does anybody know how to solve this in the xsl editor of oracle mediator?
    kind regards
    Torsten

    I will not dig into much of XSL concepts but general idea is to declare a variable which holds the line break character and this variable can be used to introduce line breaks as and when required based on the null check of your source item.
    Note that line break character will vary based on OS.
    For ex: In windows line break can be introduced by using line-feed (#xA).
    In linux the same can be achieved by using carriage-return(#xD#x85).
    To give a brief idea, it should be something similar to below with additional condition check.
    <xsl:variable name="source item 1">null</xsl:variable>
    <xsl:variable name="source item 2">denver street 5</xsl:variable>
    <xsl:variable name="source item 3">postbox 6</xsl:variable>
    <xsl:variable name="source item 4">null</xsl:variable>
    <xsl:variable name="source item 5">Germany</xsl:variable>
    <xsl:variable name="lineBreak"><xsl:text>&#xD;&#x85;</xsl:text></xsl:variable>
    <xsl:template match="/">
    <!-- Use conditional check for source item 1-->
    <if null>
    <xsl:value-of select="$lineBreak"/>
    <otherwise>
    <xsl:value-of select="<actual-xpath-value>"/>
    <!-- Repeat for all source items -->
    </xsl:template>
    Hopefully this should work.

  • Mediator Properties

    Hi
    I am trying to build a composite application which has a File Adapter to read the xml files, a Mediator and B2B for Outbound transmission.
    I am setting up following properties in Mediator.
    expression : 'b2b1'     property : b2b.fromTradingPartnerId
    expression : 'b2b2'     property : b2b.toTradingPartnerId
    expression : 'Custom'     property : b2b.documentProtocolName
    expression : '1.0'     property : b2b.documentProtocolVersion
    expression : 'Xml'     property : b2b.documentTypeName
    expression : 'AS2 Identifier'     property : b2b.fromTradingPartnerIdType
    expression : 'AS2 Identifier'     property : b2b.toTradingPartnerIdType
    The Sender shows me all properties correctly set in Reports. The same document is configured on receiver side which is also a B2B. The receiver does show the file but throws Document protocol identification error. The receiver fails to identify Sender, document protocol version etc. The Sender receives back Ack for unexpected processing error.
    If it works correctly I want to make it a bit general by reading FROM_PARTY and TO_PARTY from my Xml file in Mediator.
    Thanks
    Punit
    Thanks

    Punit,
    The receiver does show the file but throws Document protocol identification errorMake sure that at receiving side, you have populated identification xpath in the document definition correctly.

  • Xpath runtime evaluation?

    Hi all,
    We would like to give our Dataspace consumers the ability to push some XPath down to the DataServices themselves. We are aware of how can this be done using the mediator API. We are in doubt whether this can be done via WebServices, using an extra param for the XPath expression. Something along the lines of
    declare function tns:getWithXPath($id as xs:string, $xpath as xs:string) as element(ns2:TypeofElement)*{
    for $elem in tns:getAll()
    where $id eq $elem/Id
    return
    bea:xpath-eval($elem, $xpath)
    [I hear there are implementations|http://lists.xml.org/archives/xml-dev/200710/msg00065.html] that manage to do that, in spite the fact that having such a function would introduce ambiguity in the return type.
    Can it be done in ODSI?
    Thanks in advance

    We are aware of how can this be done using the mediator API. The webservice api is almost exactly identical to the java (mediator) API. What is it you can do in the java api that you cannot do in the java api?
    Your requirement sounds like a case for using ad hoc queries. Off the top of my head, I don't recall if that is exposed via webservices - I don't think it is. Check the Advance API Examples that are references in an Announcement in this forum.

  • Schematron XPATH 2.0 functions fail to parse

    Hello,
    I have a very simple schematron I'm plugging into a BPMN project and validating XML documents with through a mediator:
    below is schematron document:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1252" ?>
    <schema xmlns="http://www.ascc.net/xml/schematron" >
        <pattern name="Validate Sample Address">

             <assert test="matches(ADDRESSSOURCEID,'[0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9]')">cmid invalid</assert>
           </rule>
        </pattern>
    </schema>
    Everything compiles fine, but when I run it through the mediator I get an error:
    Caused By: oracle.xml.xpath.XPathException: Parse Error in matches function.
    Any idea why this would be?
    Thanks!

  • SOA mediator cache xsl

    Hi folks !
    How I can at runtime reload xslt at mediator. Now I use file:c:/test/test.xsl. SOA cache my xsl . Cache updated only when I create redeploy composite.

    Dynamic XSLT loading is not yet supported in 11g. You may consider writing a custom XPATH function for the same and use that XPath function for transformation. Please refer -
