Xperia Active ICS Update - Tools say my phone is up to date...

Hiya.
I have an Xperia Active (ST17a) SI 1253-6951 - The lists say that ICS was available for this SI a few weeks ago.
I have tried PC companion and after trying about 50 times to connect, it tells me that my current phone software is up to date.
I have also tried the Update_Service_Setup-2.11.12.5 which also tells me "Your phone already has the latest available software installed".
Any ideas?

Sorry to hear this.
Do you by chance have a fire wall or anti-virus software that could be blocking PC Companion and Update Service? Try to temporarily turn these programs off and try again.
Also, have a try with a different computer and let me know.

    You need to update iTunes to version 10.7. http://www.apple.com/itunes
    You also need to update you profile. It says you have an iPhone 3G with iOS 6.0.1. That is not physically possible.

    I had the same problem with my 1st gen iPod touch and I tried a couple times to update it but sadly you can't because the software on the 1st gens can't support a higher iOS.

    Any chance the apps were purchased through another iTunes Store account? That's usually the cause of the symptoms you describe. Get Info on your apps and see if perhaps some were indeed purchased using a different account. If so, just sign into the iTunes Store using that account and you should then be able to update.

    v10.6 isn't an update, it's an upgrade. You must purchase v10.6 / Snow Leopard.

  • After ICS update, WiFi widget causes phone reboot

    After installing the ICS update on my Xperia PRO USA unlocked model via PC Companion... when I turn off WiFi using the widget, it does so - it turns it off. When I use the widget again to turn WiFi back on, it causes my phone to reboot.
    I don't seem to have this problem if I turn WiFi on and off inside the WiFi settings area. But using the widget is now broken for me.
    Anyone else?

  • Creative cloud renewed - status active but AAM & tools says expired!

    Status in the web is active but the AAM says expired.
    Support is not directly reachable. (although subscription; great support!)

  • What is the Firefox start page looking for when it tells me I'm not using the most current version and need to update Firefox? The check for updates button says my version is up to date, but the start page disagrees. Is there a setting I need to adjust?

    Okay: My start page is the one Google provides: http://www.google.ca/firefox?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official and frequently it has a note underneath the search box that "You're not on the latest version of Firefox. Upgrade today to get the best of the Web!" But when I check for updates on the About Firefox window, it says my Firefox is up to date. So what is the start page looking for? Is there some setting I need to adjust? Or is this a Google marketing ploy to get me to switch to Chrome?

    I tentatively think I have the solution; this is for when the session id value 'thing', in about:config, referred to in other answers is already on the default/rest state.
    I am assuming, I don't what to imply certainty in-case there is a value wrong in our browsers, that the problem stems from the fact that our homepage is no longer the default for Firefox.
    So, go to 'Options'>'General' and delete the homepage. This will reset it to the new address, which is 'about:home'.
    I hope this helps some people.

    Is it possible to update Xperia U purchased from Oman in India ? The SI number is 1261-8744.
    When the phone is connected to PC Companion or Update Service it shows "Your phone is already up to date."
    Please let me know about the update if it is launched or yet to be launced for this SI number OR is it because the phone is purchased in Oman and could not be updated in India ?

    The availability of the upgrade depends on region and operator. if it is showing you upgrade avaialble for your phone that means for your handset the upgrade is available . So you can upgrade it via pc companion or upgrade service.

    Try restarting the phone by holding both the home button and the sleep button until the apple logo appears and then let them go.  Wait for the phone to restart and check if th problem is still there
    I would also restart ten compute or at least close iTunes and reopen it

    I am running Safari 5.1.5 but when I run software update it is saying I am up to date. I have tried downloading from the apple website unsuccessfully.

    There is a know problem with the Safari downloads from Apple, it's been reported.
    Safari 5.1.7 is on 10.6.8 so your due for the update for sure, it's just they are having issues right now of a unknown nature, your the second I've discussed this with.
    Wait it out and come back later or use Firefox in the meanwhile.
