Xperia C3 won't charge, won't turn on

Good day! I've been having problems with my 7 day old Sony Xperia C3. It started when I opted to charge my C3 at 11% battery. I plugged it in the socket using the charger that was provided and it suddenly turned off. From then on, my C3 won't charge anymore. Aside from that, when I try to turn it on after leaving it "Charging" for ten minutes it boots the Sony screen up to the Xperia blue wave screen but it turns off with a short vibrate and a low battery sound. (the red light indicator doesn't light up continuously when plugged, it lights up for about 2-3 seconds then turns off).I've tried using other android chargers but yielding the same results. I also tried connecting it to my pc but still the same. .

Hi I got the same issue .. What happened is it turned off just today and I turned it on but its not. When i charged it the red LED light kepts on blinking and when Im trying to open it, its not working it just shows the sony screen logo and it kept on restarting while its plugged to the wall charger. This is upsetting help pls.

  • My Xperia Z1 won't turn on and keep vibrating when connected to charger or PC

Hello, my xperia z1 battery was drained off. i charge it with a galaxy charger but it didn't work then after went home i charged it with the original charger and tried to turn it on but it didn't, i left it over the night to charge then i woke up on a 3 continuous vibration sound, it kept vibrating till i disconnected the charger but it didn't turn on at all.. and every time i tried to put it to charge or connect it to pc with its USB cable it keep vibrating till i disconnect it. i don know if this could caused the problem but i used it to film videos in the pool but it was working very fine after that for more than 3 hours then when the battery was totally empty this happened. i tried mostly everything. i tried pressing volum up/down with the power button, i tried the red button beside the sim card slot, i tried connecting it to the pc with PC companion running repair but nothing work. it won't turn on, nothing from the LED indicators, just RED & Blue flickers appear wehn connecting to charger or to PC with the USB cable. anyone can help with anything that could solve this problem. ThanksMahmoud

Try to follow these steps: perform a software repair using PC Companion. The process will erase all internal memory. You might need to charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 80% battery.
Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device).
Open PC companion->support zone->phone/tablet software update->repair my phone/tablet blue highlighted.Follow the steps given,do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable. If PC companion does not start the repair process, you might need to run it in compatibility mode with Windows 7 (in some cases XP).

  • Xperia SL won't turn on (water damage)

Hey,i'm worried about my Sony Xperia SL.Few weeks ago i accidently spilled water on my Xperia SL,then i heard some noise from main speaker, then i turned it off but because of built in battery noise was keep on...I dried it,also in rice.Battery was completely drained. In service they disassembled it and clean board from moisture. They figured out that the speaker won't work (but he tested speaker and said that resistance is good). They also charged drained battery not on mine charger...
Phone worked fine except speaker and battery that was drain a bit faster and actual batt varied about 1690000 uAh which is still good health...Today i fully drained battery (0%) and when i put it on charger red LED comes on but phone still won't turn on,LED worked for a while then it turned off.Phone still can't boot...
I have no clue what's happening, and what to do!   Please help, thanks!

  • Xperia Z3 won't turn on/no led/no vibrate

I left my sony xperia z3 playing music while I sleep but when i woke up it showed 0% battery and it shut off. I tried charging it and it still won't turn on. I also tried charging it via usb through my pc but still nothing happens. I also tried pressing volume up key and power button while it was plugged in my pc and led turned red and now my pc can detect it but it is unrecognisable. I also tried repairing it via Sony PC Companion but I can't proceed to step 5 where you plug in your phone while holding the volume down button. Worst Sony Phone ever and tell you I've been using sony since I remember. :'(

  • Sony xperia z2 won't turn on

Hi I just bought an xperia z2 and I have a problem that it won't turn on, when I press the power button it vibrates then sony logo appears then goes and it vibrates three times what do I do plz help

Bit of a long shot but remove your sim card and sd card if you have them inserted and then try starting the phone
Also on the side under one of the flaps in a red reset button - Try pressing this and see if that works - Failing that you could try a system repair and if that fails then all I suggest is to return it to the place of purchase or contact Xperia care http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/

  • Xperia Z1 won't turn back on

I was playing a game on my phone when battery died. So I plugged it in to charge for about an hour and went to turn it back on, but nothing happened. I got absolutely no response, no vibration, just a black screen. Very confused as to why my phone won't turn back on. It is fairly new as well, purchased 5 months ago. Please help.

    @Kayne,
    Try the following:
Connect the phone to a wall charger > Press and hold "Power Button" and "Volume Up" at same time for a few seconds (1 vibrate) or press and hold OFF Button (using a pen) at the same time for a few seconds(1 vibrate) > Charge it for 2 hrs > Try to turn it on.
If that fails, perform a software repair using Sony Update Service.
    Sony Update Service
NOTE: Make sure that your phone is completely turned off before performing a software repair with SUS.

  • Xperia Z1 won't turn back on and when charging it keep vibrate continuously, no display shown

    As title said,
my Xperia Z1 couldn't be turn on, and when i try to charge, it gives 3 vibration node, then connected to pc, then it auto disconnect again, vibrate 3 times again... And continues....
No display shown on screen when plugged in to AC plug or PC via USB... It keep vibrate non-stop when i connected to AC plug or USB...
Now i can't backup my phone using the PC companion...
Anyone encounter this? Any solution to this problem? Any method to force backup my data?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I put my phone into a air-tight container, filled with half a cup of rice.. Left it in there for 2 days.
Somehow it managed to fix the problem i had after soaking my phone in water. I think there is sips of water that sipped in the phone when bathing. Probably due to flaps not closed properly.
Now my phone is fully operational.

  • Xperia Z won't turn or or charge

    Hy!
Today I installed Sketch 4.1 at my work. It was about 11 am. Then I placed my phone on the table. At half past 12 am, I used my phone for a call, but next when I tried to use it. - it was about at 4 pm, It was turned off. Since I can't turn it on. I pluged to the pc and no light, ... The batter is about 90% charged... No response... what shoudl I do?

stick it to the charger and leave it there for a couple hours
it might have glitched and sucked up all the battery completely, bypassing the low-battery safety shutdown.
    unlikely, but possible.
or, try one of those key combinations. I am not sure what they are on the z... something about holding a volume key down and pressing power until it vibrates or something... search around.
or connect it in debug mode to your computer maybe you manage to talk to it that way
or it's just dead and you need to take it to a service center.

  • Xperia z won't turn on and can't charge.

I just want to know if you are authorized Sony expert or not??? Because as far as I know since it's a genuine device it doesn't matter if I bought it from Iraq or from USA because I have a certified Sony center that deal with Sony devices no matter from where they bought their Sony devices that's what all Mobile companies do!!!!!

This is because your phone battery drained completely...In this case need to boost your phone's battery, you can take phone to any mobile repair shop, they will do it for free.Or buy a multi battery charger, and keep charging for 10 to 15 mins, after remove and charge by your original Sony charger and switch on after 30 mins, keep charging until 100%. See below image link for Multi Battery Chargerhttp://www.freestockphotosclub.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/Multi-Charger-Picture-520x390.jpg On left side below SD cart slot there you can find charging nodes see below imagehttp://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/FCKEditorFiles//Sony-XperiaZ-08.jpgyou should connect using this nodes, make sure to read the instructions on multi charger, normally when you make correct connection it lights green, also make sure to keep for 10 to 15 mins max, and then by original charger.

  • Sony Xperia E3 won't turn on after restart

Last night, my phone randomly started popping up with "app has stopped working properly" but for all the apps and even said xperia home has stopped working. These popups wouldn't go so I turned the phone on. Now I can't turn the phone off as it freezes on the loading screen. I've tried doing the hard resets (turning off from the back and holding down the power & up button) but it still won't work. It'll either freeze on the loading screen or the low battery icon. I've charged it over night and it still shows. I've also tried doing the PC Companion but nothing happens when  hold down the lowervolume button. Any ideas? My phone is only about 6 months old

Try performing a system repair using PC Companion as this will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone and erase all data
Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process
If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

  • Xperia Z2 won't turn on

So. My Xperia is on (I can hear the notification ringtone go off whenever my phone gets a text message or a Facebook message) but it won't respond when I push the power button to light/wake up the screen. This started happening at 9PM and it is now 1:30AM. I don't know what to do.

I've had the same problem twice.
The phone would be in "sleeping mode", and when I'd try to use it, neither the screen nor the buttons would be responsive to anything (on/off, volume and camera button), but the notification light  and sound would work.
Only solution I found was to hard reset the phone, which needs a pretty small pin and is annoying.
Any clues as to the cause of this and how to permanently fix it?
Or should I just ask to exchange my phone?
    Thanks!

  • Xperia Z1 won't turn on ( third time it happens)

    Goodmorning everyone,
Yesterday i was laying in my bed when suddenly i heard my phone vibrate off  (the vibrate that you get when you give it a forced shutdown) so i looked at it and it had turned itself off. At that moment the battery was about 28%, i tried to power it back on but it didn't respond. A few minutes later i plugged it in to the charger and then the moment of fear that my phone was dead came closer. It didn't stop vibrating ( 3 vibrates) until i disconnected it. I left it in the wall charger for an hour and then it tried several times to power on showing the Sony logo, however it shutted itself immediately down after showing it. I disconnected it from the charger and tried to power it on (volume up + power button etc.) and after a few minutes it powered on just fine, it showed me the notification that the battery has reached 14% (although it was charged for a couple of hours) so i connected it again to the wall charger and it powered itself off again. I connected it to my pc holding the volume button up while connecting it but it vibrated 3 times and then the led became blue and then it powered off and powered after the vibrating on again showing the blue led, and it stayed in that cycle so i disconnected it after a while. Later that night i connected it to the wall charger and the led keeps flashing red, although it doens't power itself off. Matter of the fact is that i can't connect it to my pc anymore to get in the bootloader.
This is the third time in half a year (for the Z1) first my Xperia Z and now my Xperia Z1.
Hope someone can help me, i really like Sony smartphones but mines always break.
    * I updated it Saturday before it went down, from the latest build (4.4.4) to a firmware update. and i updated Album, Walkman etc.

  • Xperia Z1 won't turn on, LED flashes red

Hello I've left my z1 on charge over night gone to check my texts and it will not turn on just a red light flashing. I've tried the whole volume Nd power button still not turning it on .... Should I just take it back to the store

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
I'm sorry to hear. I suggest that you disconnect the phone from the charger and then hold the ON/OFF button + volume up(+) for 5 seconds. Without trying to power the unit on, connect it to the charger again and let it charge for 1-2 hours before you try to turn it on.
But if the issue remain, I suggest that you contact your retailer or that you contact your local support team to get information about how to proceed with this in the best possible way:

  • Phone won't turn on - Xperia Z

My phone won't turn on whatsoever. It is not unresponsive, the LEDs work, they go red when it is charging. I have looked for a solution but I can find absolutely none. I've charged it for 24 hours so it is not a matter of battery drain. When I connect it to the computer it says that "SEMC Flash Drive connected" and it plays the sound, not sure why it doesn't say Xperia Z connected. Sony PC Companion won't recognise the phone so it won't let me restore it. I've tried to put it in recovery but whenever I try to do it, the phone just vibrates and does nothing, same with turning it on, it just vibrates, does nothing and then vibrates again. Is there a way to wipe the data in it's state currently or is there a fix because right now my phone is as useful as a brick. The phone isn't stuck on the boot logo, it just won't turn on

Try running a repair, but ensure you start the process with the phone not connected to the PC and do not connect till it prompts you to do so after the repair option is selected. What are your thoughts about this forum? Let us know by doing this short survey.

  • My Sony Xperia Z won't start /turn on after failed update attempt

Try this  connect your phone to the wall charger > press andhold power & volume up > let it charge for 1 or 2 hours > after 2 hours > repair your phone with SUS Update Service (SUS) http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/update-service/ http://www-support-downloads.sonymobile.com/Software%20Downloads/Update_Service_Setup-2.11.12.5.exe PC Companion (PCC)  Bridge (for Mac)   Alternatives on How to backup Xperias http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/36355

A similar problem to the other posters, my Sony Xperia Z won't start after a failed update attempt. Following the support suggestions on the Sony website (http://www.sonymobile.com/sg/support/faq/w8-walkman-phone/update-software/software-update-failed-ps101/) failed. Solutions posted on this forum thread (http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z-ZL-ZR/My-Sony-Xperia-Z-won-t-start-turn-on-after-failed-update-attempt/m-p/401787#M20133) have also failed. When I plug the phone into the wall charger, the LED comes on red, the SONY logo appears on my screen, followed by a message indicating that "The Software update failed. Make sure that your phone is connected to the computer and try again.", and then the phone turns itself off. The cycle repeats itself with no indication that my phone's actually being charged. Since it is unable to charge, plugging the phone into my computer does not trigger the update process to start, so I can't "try again", as the message so helpfully suggests. The computer also does not recognise my phone as being connected despite following the PC Companion's instructions to 1) unplug the device, 2) remove and replace the battery (which I can't do, because the battery is built in), and 3) turn it back on (which, again, I can't do, because the phone won't charge in the first place), before 4) plugging it back into the computer. Please help... Thank you.

  • My sony xperia z1 compact won't turn on.

My sony xperia z1 compact won't turn on. If i plug it for charging the phone would light red and will vibrate and continuetp be like that. What will i do?

Guys, I am soon going to try this, and many said this worked.
    Equipment required:-
    - Sony Xperia Z/ZL/ZR/Z Ultra/Z1/Z1S/Z1f/Z1 Compact (Sorry, I am too detailed)
    - Magnetic Charger
    - Micro USB Charger (in basic terms, your normal charger)
    Reason:-
Sometimes, the device seems to 'forget' how to charge, thus this method shall work
    Instructions:-
    1. Leave your device to charge with the normal Micro USB charger for 2 hours, and try to do volume up + power on method
    2. If Step 1 doesn't work, connect the magnetic charger to the device and leave it to charge for about 30 - 45 minutes
    3. If your device seems to react by turning on, then leave it to charge for a bit longer
    4. If it seems to be working completely normally, then you can go back to using the Micro USB cable
    If:-
The device doesn't do anything differently after leaving it to charge on the magnetic charger, leave it for longer than what I stated previously (maybe 1 - 2 hours) and if nothing happens, then try and contact Sony, or take it to a local shop.
    So guys...
So guys, I hope this works for you guys, as this may/may not work for me. Alternatively, you can try and get a test or something done, so you can ensure it isn't a hardware problem (water damage, dislodged battery etc...)
    Kind Regards,
