my phone is restarting constantly
it turns on and restarts after half a minute or so everytime
and goes on and on
i just now rooted my phone from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460
and its video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7EpkrCq1gfM
my phone was then rooted.
then i installed u-disco and beats audio installer.
both need root.
beats audio installer warned me to backup using titanium backup if something went wrong.
i downloaded titanium backup but i didnt backup.
i then installed beats audio installer.
it seemed crappy so i unstalled it(not removed from phone).
and after that the phone kept restarting itself
it turned on and restarts after half a minute or so everytime
and went on and on.
when it turns on
i do get some 15 sec. or so before it restarts again
in that time, i removed beats audio installer.
but nothin hepled.
i even removed the sim and tried
but in vain.
i aint even able to find the reason for restarts
if its the beats audio or rooting
please tell me what to do
i am in a total mess

I recommend that you try to repair the software in the phone using PC Companion and see if that helps.

  • X10 restarting frequently after 2.3 update

I am unable to use the phone after I updated to Android 2.3. The phone is frequently restarting randomly.  I followed the information from http://talk.sonyericsson.com/thread/19735.  I have tried to perform a software repair using PC Companion but it says no software update available. Updating with or without the sim card still have the same behaviour after updating to Android 2.3.  I also formatted the SD card using the phone. I did not have this problem before the update. I performed a downgrade to Android 2.1 and the phone is stable again. My phone is now back on Android 2.1 as it was not stable on Android 2.3.
Anyone got any ideas what else I can try?. I really want to get 2.3 on my phone.

How long have you had the phone for?
Not sure if your problem is the same with what I observed recently.
I think it could be a battery issue.
Are you able to source another newer battery for the phone?.
The reason I am asking you to see if you can get another battery is because of the following.
I was helping a friend recently to update his X10 to v2.3 and his phone was also behaving in a rather similar manner.
Just by chance I stumbled across the cause of the problem ie the battery. It was not because of bad contact points. I cleaned the contact points and check that the contacts were not loose.
Sounds strange but after I put in my battery which is much newer than his, we could not believe our eyes. The phone suddenly became stable.
    The frequent restarts stopped.
I can't think of any reason why v2.3 is less tolerant of old batteries or may be his battery is slightly faulty.
Anyway, see if you can get another battery and try.
Put it in before attempting the update again and let me know the outcome.

  • My Mac book is restarting frequently after installing few updates. It has started to bother me that why the system asked me to restart 4 times after the installation was done . PLease HELP

    Hi please help ,
Certain updates were been installed  and then a restart was done to install the updates successfully in my MAc Book PRO .After restarting the sytem,  the system displayed a message for a restart  and it happened three times.Every time i Login in back , the message displayed on the  screen says " Your computer was restarted beacuse of a problem". I'm new to Mac and therefore could not understand the problem. It would be much appreciated if some one can answer or explain this activity to me .

Take it to your local Apple Store or AASP, it's covered by a 1 year hardware warranty. If you have AppleCare then give them a call but I'm pretty sure they will advise the same. If you have not purchased AppleCare yet please do, this will extend the warranty to 3 years however it MUST be purchased within the first  year of ownership. Let it go 366 days and you are out of luck. AppleCare will also include telephone support too.
    Good luck.

    4) When my computer crashes, once it starts again, it says "repairing" ... but I am not familiar with reparing permissions -- can you explain how I might do that?
If you are running OS X Lion, then you can restart your computer and then press and hold the 'Option' key immediately after you hear the start up 'gong' (usually heard when grey screen shows as it restarts).
You should see at least two Disks to choose from. Choose 'Recovery Disk' and wait for it to load, then choose 'Disk Utility' option in the Utilities dialog.
Once Disk Utility loads, do the following:
1 - In the left hand pane, choose your system partition (usually called either 'Macintosh HD' or 'Macintosh SSD'). Note - don't choose the actual hard drive listed above the partition when using Disk Utility in OS X Lion as this doesn't offer options for repairing due to it including the Recovery Disk you have loaded in memory.
2 - Click the 'First Aid' tab
3 - Click the 'Repair Disk Permissions' button in lower portion of main pane and allow to complete. Ideally, you will get a final message in main pane saying Disk Permissions are repaired.
4 - At lower right of same pane, click the 'Repair Disk' button and allow to complete. Ideally, you will get a final message indicating that Disk Repair is completed and all appears to be good.
5 - Quit Disk Utility > Close Utilities dialog window > Click 'Restart' button (confirm as needed).
You should boot straight into the system partition when complete.
Note - any red text in the main pane text while running the repairs will be issues and you will need to follow the advice given or post back.
If you are running Snow Leopard; then (as David mentions) boot from your first OS X reinstall disc and run the Disk Utility the same way; except you select the actual hard drive listed at top of left pane (not the partition below it). This is because Snow Leopard does not use a 'Recovery Disk' partition and repairs can be run on the HD or SSD itself.
    Hope that helps.

  • Oracle Linux 6.4 installs, runs, and manual shutdown OK ...  but restarts itself after 10 minutes or so

    Hi Guys
Successfully installed Oracle Linux 6.4 operating system , which subsequently runs as expected.
When Oracle Linux 6.4 is shutdown using  standard GUI  system/shutdown ,
it does a clean shutdown and power-off as expected  ....
UNTIL some 10 minutes or so later , when Oracle Linux 6.4 reboots all by itself from a fully powered-down state.
Likewise when Oracle Linux 6.4 is shutdown using  standard command line " shutdown -h now" ,
it does a clean shutdown and power-off as expected  ....
UNTIL some 10 minutes or so later , when Oracle Linux 6.4 reboots all by itself from a fully powered-down state.
Clearly it is NOT desirable to have the operating system able  restart of it's own accord.
A manual shutdown is typically  done for good reason , and the server should remain shutdown.
The previous version, ie Oracle Linux 6.3 did not exhibit this behavior.
When Oracle Linux 6.3 was shutdown, it stayed shutdown
    Question
    ======
Does anyone know how to STOP Oracle Linux 6.4 from restarting itself after a successful shutdown ?
    Thanks
    Bruce

Assuming your network interface is eth0, execute "$ ethtool eth0", like below, and indicate what you get for the lines "Supports Wake-on" and "Wake-on.
    lx04:/root $ ethtool eth0
    Settings for eth0:
            Supported ports: [ TP ]
            Supported link modes:   10baseT/Half 10baseT/Full
                                    100baseT/Half 100baseT/Full
                                    1000baseT/Full
            Supported pause frame use: No
            Supports auto-negotiation: Yes
            Advertised link modes:  Not reported
            Advertised pause frame use: No
            Advertised auto-negotiation: Yes
            Speed: 1000Mb/s
            Duplex: Full
            Port: Twisted Pair
            PHYAD: 0
            Transceiver: internal
            Auto-negotiation: on
            MDI-X: Unknown
            Supports Wake-on: pg

            Current message level: 0x0000003f (63)
drv probe link timer ifdown ifup
            Link detected: yes
Then check in your BIOS (usually under APM) for any enabled power-on settings associated with PCI or PCIe bus (your NIC will use one or the other).

  • N86 Not playing any videos,N97 restarts frequently...

My friend's N86 is not playing any videos, even those recored by the phone . Think it's a bug. Also he's not able to update the firmware.
Now it plays the videos with the hard resetting.
Is there any other solution to this problem ?
Hope Nokia will come up with a new Firware update soon as we can't always do the same to play the videos.
A N97 after updating to latest version(updated yesterday) started restarting frequently. The phone started to hang too. What might be the problem ?

    it is the 802.11n AEBS
and it does seem to lose network connectivity only when the LinkStation is connected to the AEBS via ethernet (even when the LinkStation isn't turned on).
the only time i can seem to get the AEBS to work properly and consistently is if i go entirely with wireless connectivity and the LinkStation is connected directly to the Mini via ethernet. which isn't my ideal setup

  • Extreme hang problem in Xperia T2 Ultra Dual after Lollipop Update.

Extreme hang problem in Xperia T2 Ultra Dual after Lollipop Update.Extreme and Irritating hang problem occurs after I have updated T2 Ultra Dual Phone with Lollipop Version.Kindly assist and also if Boot the device will it be solved via flashboot and unlock the bootloader?? Waiting for revert.Kindly revert.

Flashmode or Fastboot mode is only for those that wish to root and install a custom Rom or firmware, if that's what you want to do then head over to XDA - Howwever have you tried a system repair as this usualy fixes issues after an upgrade.
Performing a system repair using PC Companion will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone and erase all data so best to backup before you begin
Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process
If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

    Dear Leslie J.,
Your Apple ID was used to sign in to iCloud and iMessage on an iPad mini named “Leslie Joye's iPad”.
If you have not recently set up an iPad with your Apple ID, then you should change your Apple ID password. Learn more.

    1. It is never a good idea to include personal info like your email address or Apple ID in a post on an open forum.
    2. The email you received DOES NOT say your Apple ID cannot be used to unlock this iPad. The email informs you that your Apple ID was used to unlock an iPad. Fortunately the iPad is yours. The message confirms that. If your Apple ID was used to unlock an iPad that was not yours your would then know to change your password. Since the iPad is yours you do not need to change your password.
    Is your iPad working?

  • SSRS 2008 R2 Services not restarting automatically after reboot

SSRS 2008 R2  Reporting instance not restarting automatically after patches install.  Is there a way to resolve the issue
    Windows 2008 R2 Server
    16 GB RAM

    Hi,
Follow this article to resolve the issue:
Reporting Services service doesn't start after the installation of MS12-070 security patch
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/mariae/archive/2012/11/12/reporting-services-service-doesn-t-start-after-the-installation-of-ms12-070-security-patch.aspx
    Workaround 1:
Modify the registry to increase the default time-out value for the service control manager. To increase this value to 60 seconds, follow these steps:
    1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
    2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control.
    3.  In the right pane, locate the ServicesPipeTimeout entry.
Note If the ServicesPipeTimeout entry does not exist, you must créate it. To do this, follow these steps:
a.On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
b.Type ServicesPipeTimeout, and then press ENTER.
c.Right-click ServicesPipeTimeout, and then click Modify.
d.Click Decimal, type 60000, and then click OK.
This value represents the time in milliseconds before
Restart the computer for the changes to take effect. Check that SSRS services can be started now.
You cannot start SQL Server Reporting Services after you apply the update that is discussed in KB 2677070

What Apple store told you they wanted $249.00 to tell what is wrong?
If this is a 13" Macbook Pro then that is the cost of the Extended Applecare warranty. As you are outside the 90 days of Free Phone Support then what Apple told you is that to get Phone Support you would either need to pay $45 per phone call or pay $249.00 for the Applecare extended warranty which comes with 3 years Free Phone Support from date of purchase.
Or you can take it to a Apple Genius Bar and have them look at it for Free.
Every Mac comes with 1 year warranty and includes only 90 days of phone support. You can buy the extended Applecare warranty anytime within the first year of ownership, IE until the 1 year warranty runs out.
I suggest you have your computer looked at by either an Apple Authorized Repair Center or Genius Bar and then before the 1 year warranty runs out buying the extended warranty
