Xperia Z1 stuck in boot loop

Hi there, I bought my brand new Xperia Z1 2 weeks ago, the first few days, it work perfect but some time have to restart because it keep losing mobile data, after a few day, it start to having boot loop. I tried everything that other post said like hard reset and leave it more than 30s, take out the sim card and sd card, but still, it can't start up without having boot loop. It just appear Sony logo, then Xperia, then restart, heat up and keep continue like that.
I tried to factory reset and flash a new room with SUS, work perfectly again, after 3 days, the bootloop start happen again and the mobile data keep losing.  Any idea to fix this ? Thanks in advance

Exact same symptoms; just after two days using my brand new Z1. Took it to the service and still waiting to hear form them for more than 10 days! In my case, when the phone rebooted, there was no background image at all; all I had was a pure black background (the widgets and all were still there and functional) and after about half a minute or so, the phone rebooted itself. If I let this go on for some time, the phone sometimes booted up normally. Funny that during the reboots, although my SIM was locked, I was never asked for a PIN.

  • Xperia Z1 stuck in boot loop after upgrade to lollipop!

    Hi,
I tried to upgrade my Xperia Z1 to lollipop on my macbook - but it failed due to something about update server error. Now , the phone just tries to boot, shows the sony and xperia logo, backlight comes on - and then shuts down and cycles through this! I tried using EMMA and the phone is locked and says to go to sonymobile/update - but that says to use PCCOmpanion -  I have tried to use PCcompanion on a PC and folloed the instructions and it shows the start screen, select screen then just tells me to take the battery out and put the usb cable in again - obviously can't take the battery out - so i shutdown, put it in fastboot and it just does the same.
HELP! Followed the upgrade procedure to the letter and now my phone looks like its bricked....hope sony will replace as it was their fault! Or can someone help me!?!?!?

You may need to perform a software repair using PC Companion. The process will erase all internal memory. You might need to charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 60% battery.
Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device).
Open PC companion->support zone->phone/tablet software update->repair my phone/tablet blue highlighted.Follow the steps given,do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable. If PC companion does not start the repair process, you might need to run it in compatibility mode with Windows 7 (in some cases XP).

  • Sony xperia Z1 Stuck in boot loop.

    Hey Guys,
I have a new Z1 that randomly stops getting service when I turn it off and try to turn it on it flashes sony then Xperia then a black screen and then back to Sony. After being off for a while it will finally allow me to start it up. Any ideas?

once you make it actually started and running, long press the power button for the shutdown menu. Then long tap on the "turn off" option, and pick safe mode when it pops up.
This will make your phone start in fail-safe, with all non-stock services and apps disabled, so you can see if there are some apps that cause this. Try it several times, if the phone boots normal in safe mode every time, uninstall some apps that you recently installed and check if the problem is gone.
If this doesn't help, you can always make a software "repair" with Sony Update Service (download here if you don't have it already   http://www.sonymobile.com/in/tools/update-service/ ) But remember to backup your data first.
When everything have failed already, try to read the manual.

I have an ipod touch 3rd generation 64gb and its stuck in boot loop. how do i fix this?I

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • My 5c is stuck in boot loop!

I have only had the phone for 2 months and it is now stuck in boot loop. It is not been jailbroken at all. It first started yesterday and it just kept resetting itself every time i went to press something, so i left it over night and it has worked all day. As soon as i got home it started again, and now is stuck on the apple logo screen and the logo just fades in and out. I have tried everything to make it work, i've tried to put it into recovery mode, i've tried DFU. I've tried to connect it to itunes and it won't even be recognized as a device! Do i need to take it to an apple stockist? and does anyone know what could have caused this? I have only downloaded apps from the app store and don't think i've opened anything i shouldn't have, Thanks!

If you have used DFU mode correctly and you cannot restore it the phone has a hardware problem.

  • Ipod Stuck in "boot Loop" and itunes says I'm not connected to the internet.

Aright well I'm having a huge problem fixing my ipod.    Let's start at the beginning, i wanted to put new music onto my ipod but itunes wasn't detecting my ipod, it said i have to restore my ipod to factory settings, so i manually did it from the ipod it's self.   When it started to boot up again it just froze at the apple logo. and the loading wheel is stuck. after some research i found out that its called "boot loop" and the only way to fix this is to restore it from itunes itself.
sounds simple enough,  so i go ahead and connect the ipod to itunes and try to restore it (via DFU mode) The restore wont happen because it says im not connected to the Internet, when clearly i am.      So in a nutshell..   in order to restore my ipod.. i need to get itunes to recognize that I'm connected to the Internet.
I've done everything i can think of,   make sure my firewall isn't interfering and itunes is enabled.  The Internet proxy is what it needs to be.  Ive uninstalled and reinstalled itunes.   I actually chatted with a apple tech and he couldn't seem to help me out.
If anyone can help me or has been in this situation and know's exactly what to do.   please let me know.. it would be greatly appericated

That was the first thing I tried..what the site told me, but its still telling me I'm not connected to the internet when I am. Should I just delete everything by hand. Like I said I wanted to take it back and upgrade to the 80 gig ipod.

  • Incredible 2 Stuck at boot loop

I have had this phone for only 2 months now and after removing several unused apps from the device it froze, so I removed the battery and tried to turn it back on. All it does is go through the booting loop and gets stuck at the droid red eye. Is this fixable or am I screwed???

I have already done that. Not exactly the option most people want considering you lose all information. Time consuming and annoying to say the least.
I know but there isn't many solutions for a bootloop situation, HTC doesn't have a clear cache option without voiding warrenty and Safe Mode only works if you can get past the boot logo..
You can try pulling battery during booting up and then leave it out for a few minutes and then place battery back in and power up, this works sometimes..
Also you can pull battery and with battery out press power button for 10 seconds and then put battery back in and power up, this forces a boot sometimes.

  • P67A-GD65 (b2) stuck in boot loop after bad flash

    Hello,
My mainboard is stuck, I can't open bios setup, (even tho it appears in f11 menu), and it won't boot on any device.
I removed every hard drive and DVD, and tried to boot on DOS with a usb, but it won't even boot DOS, and no usb device appears in f11 menu (I tried every usb ports)
And I can't enter bios setup (it just reboots)
Initially I was trying to update my bios because some features I wanted were not in my old version. But I think Avast blocked the update program (E7681v43.exe opened in an usb) and when I restarted the bios flash failed, and my PC entered a boot loop. When I press f11, it's a new interface so some things in the bios updated.
The only message I get when I put the E7681v43.exe and E7681IMS.430, or the files for v1j (oldest version before ivy bridge support) on a fat32 usb stick (tried formatted, and formated with Rufus), a red message appears saying "bios me updated ... file not found."
Same thing if I try the MSIHQ flash utility, it doesn't work as my PC won't boot on the usb.
I think my motherboard is bricked and the only solution is to send it to msi to get a working bios.
My motherboard p67a gd65 (b2) (the one with bad sata 2 ports) and it doesn't appear in the product name list anymore to register it on msi...
It was bought the on the 19th of January 2011, I hope I can still ask for msi for help!
I'm looking forward to your opinions on my issue, and sorry for the long text.

older b2 cannot be updated to the .4xx
you have to send the mobo to be replaced with newer revision
Thanks! do you know where can I ask for a replacement?
I can't register it on msi, and when I ask a question and I give the serial number it just abords...
I already send an email to msi France (I live in Belgium). But email are too slow usually.
and what about the secondary bios, no way to repair primary bios with it?

  • Droid Razr  Maxx stuck in boot loop

A few days ago my droid razr max essentially died . I went to my local Verizon and purchased a new device but  I have
been  unable to recover all of the photos and other data  from the old device. I've somehow managed to get the device to turn on but it is now stuck booting and will not load past the red eye. I am wondering if there is anything that I can do to get out of the boot loop without deleting or damaging the file saved to the device.

        Chela2004,
Thank you for reaching out to us. I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your device not starting. We certainly want you to be able to retain the information on the phone. What exact information are you looking to extract? If you had an sd card in the old phone, pictures should be saved on their. As for contacts, those would either be saved with your google account you had with the phone, or with our application Backup Assistant plus.  You can try to run the phone in safe mode to bypass the red eye screen http://vz.to/159K41E. Please fill us in on how this works and what you are needing to move from phone to phone.

  • IPod touch 2G stuck in boot loop

My iPod touch 2G 16GB is stuck in a boot loop: I see the apple logo, after a while the screen goes blank, and then the apple logo appears again.
How can I restore it now? Is there a way to do a "safe boot"? Resetting using hold and home for 10+ seconds yields the same result.
As for how I got there: an app complained about being "out of space" yesterday and today, but checking the general information stated some 50 MB of free space. Later today Mail.app couldn't move a mail into the trash, and deleting mails in the trash was not possible, either. So I decided to reboot the iPod, and I'm stuck since.

Many thanks for your help! I had to do it in a slightly different order (press hold and down for 20 secs, once the IPT tunrs off, let go of all buttons, then press home and keep it pressed, then connect to USB, keep home pressed until "connect to iTunes" appears), put your post was what put me on the right track!
    Many thanks again!

  • 4404 WLC stuck in boot loop after upgrade

In prepping for the upgrade to 4.1.185.0 I've got two controllers at different sites stuck in a boot loop after applying 4.0.219.0. Units will not even get to the <ESC> option menu.
    ANy ideas?

Did you clear the configuration on the controller by using Option 5 in the boot menu? This will corrupt the boot image. You should not choose the clear config (option 5) from the boot menu on controllers running 3.2.78.0, 3.2.116.21, 3.2.150.6 or 3.2.150.10, 3.2.171.5 or 3.2.171.6, 4.0.155.5 or 4.0.179.8 and 4.0.179.11.

  • K1 stuck in boot loop

My K1 was working great until just recently, now when I turn the power on it is stuck in a startup boot loop.  It shows the lenovo logo, then the nvidia logo, then the startup music, and right after that it goes back to the nvidia logo and on and on and on.  I have left it in the loop for several hours and not change, it just drains the battery.
I have a lot of videos and pictures on the tablet and they were not backed up (my bad).  Is there any way to retrieve the data on the tablet.  When I plug my laptop to the tablet via the USB cord, the laptop is not seeing the tablet (for obvious reasons).  Has anyone come across this before, is there a way to retrieve the data?

    hi Cyclepath,
Sorry to hear about your trouble.
For you to be able to detect the k1 tablet from the laptop, the tablet must first boot into the Android OS. Since the tablet is not doing that, there's no way to backup the data on the tablet unless you send it to a professional recovery company like Drive Savers
What you can try is to:
    1. Restore your PC using this method
    2. After complete restore, connect your tablet to the PC using the USB cable and check if it's being detected under PC (see this guide)
    3. Try to run a data recovery software like EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard.to scan and retrieve the deleted files.
    Hope this helps.

  • U410 stuck in boot loop

    Salutations everyone,
Recently I purchased a u410 and it has been running great for a few weeks but this morning instead of waking up from hibernation like normal it seems to be stuck in a loop of displaying the lenovo logo then a blank screen with a few seconds on each. This has been running continously for hours while I try to run down battery in an attempt to reset. I have no bios access during the loop and it will not boot to any usb media. I am now wondering what I should do since it already has data migrated from my old machine and don't exactly want to start over. Is there anything that can be done other than returning it or sending it to lenovo support?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    hi CurlyBrackets,
    Welcome to the Forums.
If the reboot loop goes to the Lenovo logo where the white dots goes in circles, try to Interrupt the loading of Windows 8 to enter push-button reset mode (this is like a recovery environment to restore the pc fromr previous working state). To do this, hold the power button while on the Lenovo logo with the white dots going in circles. loading (you need to do this 2-3 times).
If successful, it'll run Automatic Repair and if it fails, you'll see this screen:
    - Link to picture
Click on Advanced Options and from there you can:
     1. Follow this guide to enable booting into Safe Mode, If everything's ok, try to restart the computer in normal mode and observe
     2. Do a System Restore to undo the changes
3  Refresh your Windows 8 PC  or reset windows 8 (note that this will wipe the computer clean)
If the problem remains and the steps above doesn't work, the HDD/SSD maybe showing signs of malfunction and you may need to send the unit for service.
    Hope this helps

  • Stuck in boot loop

Hi, I am currently trying to fix my friends HTC Windows phone. Now I have at one point successfully got to the "!" screen but have had trouble getting pass the button sequence due to a battery issue. I have left it on the charger and just cant seem to get a charge to save my life. As far as I know there has never been any liquid damage nor has it been dropped, or thrown. The initial cause of the boot loop was a software download. What happend was my friend agreed to an OTA update of his phones system. He turned it off because he is impatient. Thus creating the issue. I believe I can fix it, but I now have doubts a bit because I can keep the phone charged long enough to start the factory reset. The charger indicated comes on, letting me know that its beginning to charge but then the phone dies due to the loop. I could use a bit of help on how to either shut it off for at least a few hours so it can charge or a way to let it charge while the boot continuously occurs.
I tell you this is why I use Iphones. Androids, and windows phones have always brought me to the peak of frustration.
I hope for a quick reply to this so I may return to him a working phone and make him a happier person.
    Thank you,
