Xperia Z1 Walkman app Music info

Hi, so I put my SD card into the phone with lots of music, and I found this "cool" feature called Music info so I gave it a try, updated about 1000 tracks and now it is all so disorganized I cant even find anything. Is there any way I could delete the downloaded info?

Thank you for your answer. This is the first thing I did, however it didn´t work. For some reason it kept all the music updated. For example, if there are more Artists on the Album, in Walkman I have all of them instead of one, even when its featuring. Have Random Access Memories from Daft Punk, under "D" I have Daft Punk, Daft Punk feat. Giorgio Moroder, Daft Punk feat. this and this etc. And you can imagine how it looks when all tracks are done with different people.
Also, Albums are split as well, I have all Discography of Muse, including SPs and EPs, most of them are split into two or more albums now..? Actually instead of 27 there are 38 albums...
I would try deleting the music and copying again on my SD card, nut I´m at work so no chance getting it done here, I just thought if there was another way.

'Download music info' is initiated to update my music, but the download never actually goes past preparing and the app crashes 100% of the time.

Xperia C walkman app malfunction

Hi,
I purchased a Xperia C series just week ago. The walkman app does not play any music properly. The songs get stuck at any random point like a tape record. Is the phone I purchased defective?

Try settings-apps-all-walkman,clear data for both apps.Restart the device.

Xperia Z1 Walkman app

After upgrading to Android 4.3 and Walkman Ver. 8.1.A.0.3, I found that the Sound effect -> Sound enhancements -> settings couldn't be access. It quits automatically.
Besides, I can't use the throw (DLNA) to my Home theatre System nor Bravia via Walkman app.
Anybody has the same?

Thank you very much. It's okay after repairing.
However, there is an update of Walkman app to ver.8.1.A.0.3.
Is this version causing my problem before? Should I update it?
BTW, just found that "Throw" cannot support FLAC file.
I really hope there is an improvement of Walkman app on folder monitoring setting, "Throw" and file supporting like .ape.

Download Music Info crashes

I am using Xperia Z3. The download music info always crash when it reaches about 200/300 songs. However, when I have only 1 song in the list, it downloaded successfully. So the problem is the songs I have in the storage or the Walkman?

Since one song works properly, I do not think it's something wrong with the service. I suspect that the metadata for a song may be corrupt or that the song contains a symbol that is not correct. You can always try to scan the id3 tags via our program Media GO to see if you can find which song that may cause this issue. You can find Media GO in PC Companion:

Try the basic
1. restart the phone
2. settings > apps > all > walkman > clear data > restart your phone

Walkman/ Music App does not retain downloaded music info

Whenever I download and replace the default music info in my music app, after sometime the data gets reverted back to the default one.My device is currently on lollipop, the problem occured in Kitkat too cure

Music Unlimited Won't Show Up In My Walkman App

On my Z it worked fine and it may be cause I bought an imported model, but I can't get Sony Music Unlimited to show up within my Walkman app. Any ideas or fix or do I just suffer from early adoption? Thanks!

It sounds like your phone comes from a country where the Music Unlimited service is not available. The phones we sell in countries that doesn't have Music Unlimited doesn't have any integration with this service in Walkman. You can still use the Music Unlimited app though: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sony.snei.mu.phone

Music Unlimited not working in WALKMAN App 8.3.A.0.2

I noticed that you've updated the WALKMAN App to a very clean and styled look, but there is a major error: Whenever I try to log in to Music Unlimited, WALKMAN force closes immediately as well as when the widget is trying to refresh on the home screen..please fix ASAP!

No music in walkman app using Media Go

Hey!
I recently (well, today) purchased an Xperia Z2 device.. One of the problems I'm experiencing is that no matter what I do, the walkam app just refuses to find my music in the phone. I've seen several people suggesting to clear the data from the walkman app and to reboot the phone but no progress so far. It's worth mentioning that the music is in the internal storage, placed into the root/Music folder which is probably the defult sync location for Media Go.

Walkman app crashes when browsing music

Just uploaded music in Music folder of the sdcard.
can open Walkman app on the album tab. When moving to "my music" tab, the app crashes
It happens every time
Anyone experienced this ?

Try clearing data for the app called "Media storage" under Settings -> Apps -> All and then reboot the tablet and see if that helps.
If that doesn't help it could perhaps be one or more of your files that the tablet is having problems with.
What happens if you remove all your music and then transfer just a song or two using Media Go?

Phone gets hot when listening to music with Walkman app

during the last days I have recognized that my Xperia Z3 Compact gets very warm (almost hot) when I am listening to music using the Sony Walkman app.
I had this issue also with the Xperia Z1 Compact earlier and had to factory reset it to fix it.
I only face this when I listen to music. do anyone else also have this issue?

All phones get warmer when using high cpu use apps but if the phones gets to warm then like a Pc etc it will give a warning and auto shut down to protect itself - However if you think it's to hot and you are concerned then I'd advise that you either return your device to the place of purchase or contact Xperia care to have your device inspected http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/

Walkman Music Info Error

Hi;
I'm using "Edit music info" and then update buttom. Every thing working well but when I move my files or rename them I will lose every music info. It seem music info not saved into my files.

In this case your best option would be to remove use files from the phone then transfer them again using the MediGo software:

Walkman artist picture incorrect when using "download music info"

Hi all,
I uploaded some music using media go, but the artist picture when i used the "download music info" is the wrong one. I uploaded them all on media go but it did not download according, need help to fix it up!

The reason for that is that the album or artist info was wrong on those music files, you have 2 options
1. edit one by one
or
2. on your PC > open WMP > album > right click > find album info > once its done transfer it to your phone with Media Go
